This is an in depth introduction to the use of Essential Oils. Essential Oils provide us with an alternative solution to assisting in the body's healthy function. As survivalists and preppers one of the things we must include in our strategies is the ability to operate at peak performance when needed the most. The use of Essential Oils is something that we can begin using now, which will increase the quality of your life before a disaster strikes. These notes will serve as a quick flip guide of the most important things to remember about using Essential Oils. This book was a Kindle freebie, or I would have lowered the rating to 1 star. This is a transcript of an essential oils course, and emphasizes a certain brand/website for purchasing the oils. That's not necessarily unusual, but I do long for an easy to use reference that either compares common brands or refrains from mentioning brands at all. Anyway, the information provided is rather basic, especially if you've read any books or websites about the use of essential oils. Oils are paired with particular conditions, which is helpful, but the real reason I gave it only 2 stars is that none of the information includes HOW to use the oils. Missing is even the most basic information about topical vs inhalation vs ingestion, which might lead someone to misuse oils (though hopefully, anyone wanting to use oils would do further research before using).
This book was okay as a reference book. I have used it a few times already as such. I have it on my kindle so I search the name of the essential oil that I have (I currently only have 3) to see if it would apply to any of the needs that I currently have. This book includes instructions to eating/drink the oils, which is strongly advised against in other things I have read. When presented with 2 instructions, I tend to take the more conservative approach, so I will be using these for external use only. I also use extreme caution when using essential oils around my 1 year old daughter. Just because something is natural does not mean it is safe. If that were true then we could go into a forest and eat whatever plants presented themselves to us with no negative consequences.
Got this ebook for free off amazon and since I am an essential oils distributor it sure came in handy. Great quick reference book for 60 different oils.
