She too begins to share those memories and dreams, but this lifetime throws them twists and turns that makes it difficult to believe that they can find that love once again. Tricia Daniels

Tricia Daniels lives in a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada, where she raised three kids as a single parent. Creativity and imagination is something there is never a short supply of in her home. Between her quick wit and wicked sense of humor she found that she has a passion for writing steamy romance novels. Her goal is simple, tell her story, warm a few hearts, shed a few tears, share a silent chuckle, and occasionally, make people blush.
That's the official version. But the simple truth is... I'm just a normal woman, struggling to pay the bills and trying to raise my kids in a home where they feel empowered, supported and loved. I'd like to say that the story came to me with a gentle persuasion...but oh no! This story hit me like a full on tackle from behind and there were no foul flags thrown by the referee. Here's a little something unusual about me, well at least I think so... I'm not an author. My friends laugh when I say that. I have never aspired to write the next great love story or take the literary world by storm. I'm just a girl, who woke up from a dream with characters, scenes and a story in my head that was tied to such powerful emotions I couldn't settle until I wrote them down to get them out of my brain. This story would have never been shared with any of you if it wasn't for very good friends, who continue to try and convince me that I have a gift. Who knew? Definitely not me.

4/5 TEAR MY HEART OUT Sizzling Stars

5/5 Sizzling Hearts for Heat!!

I've had time to really absorb my feelings on this book. This book had me enthralled and in love with the characters the whole time. I was upset when I initially finished it. I can't tell you why because I'd ruin it for you. Part of me wants to scream at the roof tops. I want to freaking yell. But I'll let you decide. Tricia Daniels is the most humble amazing graceful author I've ever had the pleasure to talk to. She accepted my feelings ..for what they were ..passion for her book. She did her job. She made me feel. That is shows true talent. I applaud her ..because I haven't felt this passionately about a story in a long time. This one really knocked me down. See I live my books. I identify with the characters. I feel with them. I love with them. That may make me seem crazy. But I feel sorry for you if you don't get to experience those emotions.
Right when I finished this is how I felt.

There are no words to describe what I am feeling. This author writes with such passion and the emotions just explode from the pages.
I feel as if I've been chewed up and spit out.
I can't even tell you why.
You have to experience it.
I'm in pieces.
I feel like I've been on a merry go round that had a freaking power surge. Then it spit me out in the high traffic highway and I got run over by a semi. But ..I felt ..and that is what counts. I couldn't stop reading and I'll be counting the days till I can put my heart back together.

WOW, MY EMOTIONS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE!! In a good way, that is. ;)

Intractable Souls had a very original and solid story line and plot that kept me wanting more. The characters engaged me and the pacing kept me interested.

I liked how the author concocts everything based on a solid foundation rather than characters just rushing into things or literally giving into the moment. Both characters have pasts that could make them or break them but feel such a compulsion for one another that they can’t stay away from one another.

I was floored with the amount of detail that Tricia (the author) puts into the entire outline of the characters, their dialogues, and what’s going on in the story at the moment. I am one of those readers who hates, hates plots where there is no substance or quality towards the story development and character growth so this was a definite A+ in my book.

As for how the book ends, it was quite anti-climatic wouldn’t you say? I mean, it literally leaves you hanging and wanting for some more already. Usually, I loathe when that kind of thing happens but with Tricia’s brilliant writing style, I think I can live to read what happens next in Ethan and Olivia’s love story.

Definitely, a story that I strongly suggest readers to embark on!! There were moments where I literally: laughed out loud
got hot and bothered
and got so enraptured in the story that my dad dropped a
rice bag in my lap to get my attention because he thought I
was spazzing out! lol

Gah, I’m already itching for book two already!! Argh!!

... What in the name of God just happened to me? This book has put me through some of the most powerful emotions that I've felt in a really long time. I laughed, I smiled, I got upset and wanted to throw my eReader through a window, I felt like my heart was broken, and I felt immense happiness. ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

I'm the kind of reader who won't give 5 stars to any novel unless it fully captures my interest from page one. The only other story I've given five stars to is Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'. And that's a timeless classic.

I started this book this morning, and I didn't stop reading until I finished it. I felt like I was the energizer bunny... I just kept going.. And going.. And going. And let me tell you, I was, without a doubt, not let down.

Can I give this book 11 stars out if 5? Is that possible? Because that's what it deserves.

Olivia James has had it rough. Dealing with trauma from her past, she is afraid to let anyone get to close to her. With so much emotional baggage, it's easier for her to push people she wants to care for away, unfairly assuming that she isn't good enough, or unworthy of someone else's love. Enter Ethan O'Connell... Hot, sexy Irishman with a panty dropping smile, and his own personal baggage as well. He catches Olivia's attention right from the get go, and the chemistry is instant. You can almost hear the sizzle of passion between the two of them. Ethan is bound and determined to win Olivia's heart, but will he? Fighting the constant pull towards the steamy Ethan, Olivia is starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, there might be something right here after all. (And if she doesn't want him, I'll gladly channel my inner Katniss. I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE! Yes please..)

Is it warm in here? Because good Lord, that book was HOT HOT HOT! There was enough passion and steaminess in that book to put Aphrodite herself to shame. 50 shades? Pfft. All I'm seeing is the lush emerald color that sweeps across the hills of Ireland and I'm sure as hell hopping the next flight across the pond.

Seriously though- read this book. If you love a good story with an amazing spin on it, you will not be disappointed. A tale as old as time about two lovers who find their way to each other in each lifetime, as true as it can be about two souls who's destinies are intertwined throughout those lifetimes. Always starting out as barely even friends, then somebody bends, unexpectedly. As soon as you read this fan-freaking-tastic novel, you'll understand why I'm quoting the song 'Tale As Old As Time' from Beauty and the Beast.

I think we should all take a moment to give author Tricia Daniels a standing ovation for her novel. Not only is it her first, but it is absolutely impeccable. This new and soon to be bestselling author knows how to play with your emotions, tug at your heart strings and manage to make the reader fall more and more in love with her characters with each flip of the page. It is an absolute emotional rollercoaster of a ride, and one of the best damn rides you will take.

10 STARS!!!!!!Oh my goodness I love this book!!! I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down until the last word. Ethan is an Irish hunk that is very desirable, but struggles with his temper. Olivia is a woman with a battered and bruised heart, not sure if she can open it back up to someone new, no matter how desirable he is. This book was full of emotion and drove me insane. I wanted to scream at Ethan and Olivia and throw my e-reader across the room. They had moments of pure love and connection full of vulnerability and then moments of utter stupidity and insecurity. I was up and down and on the edge of my seat; basically all over the emotional wave chart all the way until the end. I really enjoyed Tricia Daniels’ writing and can’t wait until her next book to see what’s going to happen. Thank you Tricia for writing and sharing with us such a beautiful and soulful love story that truly makes you believe in soul mates.

Is it possible to have a love/hate relationship with nearly ALL the characters in a single book? Cause, I swear I kept going from loving the characters to absolutely hating them! Oh where should I start.......

Ethan ~ Now him I actually had a total LOVE relationship for throughout the whole book, he was one of the few! From the get go you can tell he's very commanding and so sure of himself, well in till he meets Olivia. He sets his sights on her and it's like his world tips on its axis. He just as confused by it all, as anyone would be. I have the utmost respect for him, he continuously gets up to bat (per say) when it comes to Olivia. He's in the total dark but he does everything he can to find the light. True he does make some mistakes but in all actuality I can't really be pissed at him.

Olivia ~ There is such a thing as being TOO unsure with one's self! And she fits the bill perfectly! I mean I get she had a traumatic past experience, but she takes it and judges EVERYONE for that of another's mistake. Then she gets mad when people DO what SHE TELLS them to DO! I mean really in all honesty I wanted so desperately tell her "You need to move on, quit hanging on to the past and punishing everyone else for it!" Then at the end she gets mad at Ethan for doing what SHE told him to do. It just didn't make sense to me.

Scott/Rachel ~ Ah...my lovey if not arguing couple! Scott feels misplaced guilt over the whole 'incident' with Olivia, and Rachel sorry to say but meddles to dang much! I mean their hearts were in the right place but in all honesty they needed to back off and let Olivia figure things out on her own and worry about themselves. I absolutely loved Scott, he was like Yoda for everyone. He tried so hard to get his friends and wife to listen him only to be ignored. But the funny thing was, he was right on nearly everything but no one would listen to him till it was too late!

As for everyone else, what can I say. Everyone played a valuable part to the story, everyone head their own little pieces of life and situations that were valuable to the story. I actually liked how the story really wasn't from anyone's POV per say. It was someone telling the story (maybe the psychic) and your listening. So everyone has a say throughout the story.

Overall its a great start to a great series, the only thing I absolutely hated was the ending. That was so cruel to end it that way! ;-) Yes, sadly we have to wait till the next book to see what happens with everyone! Do I recommend YES! Just don't go in expecting to like/love everyone, cause you want!

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

Olivia James knows she needs to get back in the dating game but, her ex did a number on her. It was so bad she almost bled to death on her bed. It’s been three years and she’s still struggling to get past it. There is nothing in her wanting to trust a man again. But she has needs, like most of us and can only think of one man that can help with that. Her friend Noah. He agrees and they make a date. Sadly he cancels on her saying he’s stuck at work. What’s even worse…she sees him at his house…with another woman. Well, there goes that idea. Definitely not the man for her.

Ethan O’Connell wants Olivia in a bad bad way. Having the pleasure of running into her on a few occasions isn’t helping to get her out of his head. He knows she is something special. His mind is made up and he is determined to pursue her until she gives in. Becoming friends first she decides that he is the perfect person to be able to take care of her needs. Strictly friends with benefits. He agrees but is still determined that he can change her mind. He wants more than this no-strings garbage.

Ethan has the patience of a saint, in my opinion. Olivia is scared to death of losing herself in another man. One minute she’s feeling comfortable, then the next minute she puts her walls back up and pushes him away. I can completely understand her reluctance. She’s also learned that Ethan has quite a temper. The only thing that can calm him down is Olivia. But he doesn’t make the effort until he learns about what happened to Olivia. He will do anything for her and I believe he has proven that several times. But they aren’t really communicating, not how they should and about how they each really feel.

Ethan does everything he can think of to gain her trust. But what can you expect when you still keep things from each other. You can’t love someone when you are still holding on to things from the past. Olivia is so unsure of herself that she will believe words from a jealous co-worker of Ethan’s. But again she keeps it to herself and replaces the walls that he started to break down.

Then this “brilliant” plan was concocted that would get Olivia to admit her feelings for Ethan. My stomach was in huge knots throughout this part. I really wanted to back hand them both at this point! Their story does not end here. And after I picked my jaw up off the floor, I decided I needed the next book ASAP. They are soul mates; they just need to figure it out themselves…
4.5 out of 5 stars!

Oh my word! I don’t know what to say…Ethan J. O’Connell is the epitome of book boyfriends. I love a hot head and an Irish accent. Really pulls you into the story with the tension between the characters. The plot and story is phenomenal and it also helps that the author Tricia Daniels has an amazing character to match her amazing book.

Amazing Plot!
Amazing Characters!
Amazing Book!
Amazing Writing!
Amazing Author!

I don’t want to spoil anything…just know that once you know Olivia Jame’s (Liv) secret you’ll understand completely how she feels. Although even with her understanding you’ll still be sitting on the edge of your seat, kindle in hands shouting “Shut up and kiss him!” ; ) God knows I would!

This book has some of the most amazing sex scenes you’ll encounter…am I shy to say that I had to take many breaks to freshen up?? Umm, I guess not haha.

Go grab Intractable Souls before you miss out!!! Trust me, it’s detrimental to your happiness… So can’t wait for book two… <.< there better be a book two! There are too many lovable characters to not have more...By the way I am in love with Carter!!!! HE's MINE!

I don't normally add comments about a book I've read but this book was incredible!!! This is truly one of the best books I've read. The storyline was different than the usual love stories which kept my attention and makes it exciting what is going to happen next. I hate being left hanging (in a good way) and it will drive me crazy until the next book comes out so I can see what happens with Ethan and Olivia. There was so much more to this book than just dialogue and sex, it's a real story that you can see happening in everyday life and not just fantasy. Although I'm sure none of us will ever find a man as hot as Ethan O'Connell, John McCabe or Carter Brandt, I would sure like to try.

I think this author, Tricia Daniels has excellent writing style and really give life to these characters. I can't wait to see what else she is going to come up with. I will definitely put her on my list of authors to follow.

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
So where to start, this book took me on a emotional roller coaster ride. JOY, HAPPINESS, SADNESS, AMUSEMENT, SEXUAL HAPPINESS ETC......The story is about Olivia James a smart and beautiful girl trying to move on from her haunted past. Let's just say it loved her but she drove me insane. I wanted to grab her and shake some sense into her. I also loved her feistiness too "SPIN KICK TO THE TACO?" LOL. She meets the extremely sexy arrogant hottie Irishman Ethan O'Connell. With his sexy accent and irresistible words "You're not the only one who feels that way. The moment I saw you... My heart beat you name. " Can these two break each other's walls down and give each other the love they both deserve? Tricia Daniels you ROCK, you did a great job writing this story and I am so honored you asked us to review your book. Looking forward to working with you again.

This is a very long but VERY GOOD book...Really if the author doesn't hurry with the second one, I'm going to go crazy as hell! At every turn there is conflict that leaves you at the border of the seat. This is not like other books that gives you one problem and then it's taken care of at the end. NOOOOO this is trouble all around and you really just want to grab the characters by the shoulders and shake them and slap them because they are so good together but they are so stuborn!! Ethan and Olivia have so many obstacles in their way but have so many things to talk about... I NEED the next one, this is torture!

Totally loved this book. Intractable Souls is about two people Ethan and Olivia who know deep in their hearts that they were meant to be together but lives, trust, and tragedy are keeping them apart. Ethan has a past that could destroy what he has with Olivia and he doesn't want to risk that no matter what, but can Olivia's past destroy them in the process? No matter what they know they can't stay away from one another insert an old lady who tries to drive them nuts. LOL Intractable Souls will make you a believer in love, faith, fate, and soul mates. You will love this book.

What the crap!!! I was reading and thought my kindle lost some pages! Yes it's that good, but Olivia gets on my nerves she's so confused and makes you want to slap her and what's with the old lady... Ethan.. What can I say I feel sorry for the poor guy! One thing I liked about the book most is you actually got a piece of each character! BUT for the love of reading please put me out of my misery and tell me that another book is coming SOON!

I was lucky enough to get the chance to read "Intractable Souls" by Tricia Daniels. This book kept me on my toes, made me cry, made me laugh, and at the end, made me want to scream.

The main characters in this book are Ethan O'Connell and Olivia James. From the start of the book you understand that their souls have been connected throughout time. If you believe that everyone has one true soulmate (or even if you don't), then this book is proof that there is one soulmate for everyone out there.

From the minute that they layed eyes on each other, they felt it, a connection that seemed to transent time. Actually before meeting each other, they dreamed of each other. As the story progresses, they continue to have shared dreams of a life and a future together, but there are problems.

Ethan has legal issues. He is accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend. He also has anger issues. Olivia has trust, self confidence, and emotional issues due to an abusive ex-boyfriend who beat her serverly and left her for dead. I know, you would think that they are the most unlikely two people on the planet to get together simply for these reasons, but here is the thing. They balance each other. When Ethan is with Olivia, he temper and anger are managable, and when Olivia is with Ethan, she is more open, feels more stable and safer than she has ever felt in her life.

Don't get me wrong, there will be times in this book that Ethan screws up so badly that you want to punch him (trust me I wanted to reach through the pages of this book and choke him at some points), however there is a protective nature about him that makes you want to forgive him. Olivia makes her share of mistakes as well, but given her past experiences, you understand why she acts the way she does.

Ok, now for the screaming. I loved this book, could not put it down, was both disappointed and excited to see the end of the book drawing near......and then the cliff-hanger! UGH! The book just stopped, making me want to scream "NO!" Ok, so I hope that there will be a sequel, because I really need to know what happens next.

I really enjoyed everything about this book. It was fast paces, the characters were belivable, and some of the situations were very funny. Yes, I even enjoyed the cliff-hanger. I would recommend this book to every hopeful romantic out there.

Fuck me!! I did not see that ending coming!!
Jesus this book...this book was so fucking good.
I was introduced to Tricia Daniels (virtually/metaphorically...I haven't actually spoken with her online or in real life) through her feud (all in good fun) with Ren Alexander (Chasing the Wild Sparks) on Facebook.
I read and loved Ren's books so I decided that to really be fair in participating in said feud that I should probably read her book too.
So glad I did.
I can't lie, at first I thought this was going to be just another 50 Shades/This Man type of book. I loves both of those series by the way so that's not a bad thing. However, this was so not. Finally, finally we meet a control freak who can also be light-hearted, playful, friendly and not be a complete asshole more often than not. Can I also point out that Ethan is the type of rich dom I can deal with. He has plenty of money to live very comfortably but he's not some uptight, posh, pretentious prick. He dines at pubs and bars and goes to regular old dance clubs. He doesn't live in some ridiculous mansion that's clearly to ginormous for a playboy bachelor. He drives a fucking Dodge Challenger for Christ's sake, my dream car. I loved everything about him! I love that while this story had a "meant to be/soulmates from the start" kind of vibe it didn't play out like that. The story flowed at a perfect pace without Olivia and Ethan's relationship moving too quickly or in a contrived manner. How did Ethan say some of the cheesiest, make me roll my eyes kind of lines and not rub me the wrong way. I don't have these answers.
The only answer I have is that you should read this book, read it now, tell your friends about it. Tell your friend's friend'a about it and then come back and tell me about it because I'm totally willing to rehash this story repeatedly to anyone who will listen.

Can I give a book 20 stars?! That is how much I LOVED this book! Intractable Souls by Tricia Daniels is a fast paced, emotionally taxing, and incredible read, with one of the most jaw dropping endings I’ve read this year! I thought something was wrong with my Kindle, but nope – the story was just over and I literally yelled, “Where’s the rest of it?” Tricia Daniels ‘Bound for Ireland’ series is off to an incredible start! If this book is any indication of Ms. Daniels talent, then we are all in for the ride of our lives.

Olivia James is a very relatable character, as many of us know – or are – survivors of domestic violence. I understand 100% why she is wary of trusting ANY man, let alone a man like Ethan. She’s inexorably drawn to Ethan, but is very afraid of her reaction to him – let alone his legendary temper.

Ethan O’Connell is the epitome of alpha male! His dominant, never-take-no-for-an-answer mentality works well in business, but is terrifying to Olivia. He’s tall, athletic, sexy as HELL, and is TOTALLY smitten with Olivia. He is doing his best to jump through all the hoops she tosses in his way, but it is not easy for the often volatile Ethan. He has his own baggage, which is no less daunting to him than Olivia’s is to her.

Add it to your TBR, put it on your wish list –DO NOT MISS Intractable Souls by Tricia Daniels!!! This book was incredible! When I was done I read it again to make sure I missed NOTHING! I cannot wait for the Bound For Ireland saga to continue!

From the first chapter where we meet Owen and Elizabeth until the last page where we really are rooting for Ethan and Olivia I was captivated by their interchanging stories.

Ethan is a hot Irish Alpha male who is used to getting things his way. He has a bit of trouble in his homeland so he is handling business in Canada where he meets Olivia. Olivia is still recovering from a bad relationship in her past and is reluctant to allow
Ethan or any man into her heart. You get to follow their story from their first meeting and discover how their souls are entwined from lives past. The detail Tricia Daniels puts into her characters is astonishing. There is no wondering where that came from in this book. Her descriptive prose leaves no room for doubt in her storyline.

The supporting characters become just as special to you by the end of the book. I particularly loved John, Shannon and how Carter takes one for the team. Rachel and Scott add a lot to the story as well.

Intractable souls kept my interest right to the last page. I experienced every emotion imaginable as I followed Ethan and Olivia's relationship. At 535 pages you really get your moneys worth and to be honest even though it is on the longer side you will be hoping it was another few hundred pages long when the story ends. I hate spoilers so I won't spill any more details aside from at the cost of .0056 per page you can not go wrong.

4.3 Star Review - Intractable Souls

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this story for many reasons. Love the push and pull between the both of them. Have to say I wanted to smack both Scott and Noah for different reasons. They both deserved a least one smack each if not more.

Chemistry is strong between them. I love the snarly comebacks from the both of them. They keep you laughing throughout the story.

Olivia James is afraid of men with tempers because of an issue in her past. If men get angry around her she pulls into herself. Ethan O’Connell has a temper and comes to blows with a man over a game. She is attracted to Ethan but even with a temper he makes her feel safe.

She spends a lot of time pushing Ethan away. When she gets sick he steps up to help her. When she decides to give him a chance she finds that he is sweet and funny.
Ethan knows that she is the woman for him. He wants to beat down anyone that touches her. First he must find out why she keeps pushing him away.

When a Psychic approaches them both separately she knows that they are soul mate and destined to be together. As they both have dreams of long ago they realize that they are destined to be together.

Cannot wait for her next book.

I so enjoyed Intractable Souls.
I was not really sure what I was getting into with the book, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
This book will involve you. It takes a very talented author to invoke real emotion and I felt that while reading this book.
There were times I wanted to scream and times I wanted to cry, but I also deeply felt the emotion and love within the pages.
Olivia is a very real woman with very real fears and insecurities. There are times when I wanted to reach into the book and scream at her and shake her because of them, but I understood them all the same.
Ethan is hot, sexy, and Irish... plus he has a dominant personality... are you asking where to sign up yet?
There is drama, intrigue, underhanded antics, friendship, love, hot sex, and a busybody old lady within the pages and you will enjoy every second.
This is a long book, so be forewarned, but it's worth the read.
My one complaint is the cliffhanger. That just means that Ms. Daniels needs to get to work so I can read the next installment!

Review: From the first sentence I was hooked by these endearing yet complicated characters. I loved how tough & stubborn Olivia was, how dominate yet lovable Ethan was. Rachel was hilarious, loyal & an ideal friend. Noah was a jerk & pompous ass but I did have moments of affection for him. The story was an easy fun read with a nice plot, interesting dialog & relatable characters. There were times that I wanted to cry & a number of others that made me laugh out loud. Though I did enjoy this book I wanted more on Olivia & Ethan's history, I was looking for an appearance by Olivia's abusive ex, more information on the crazy psychic & more of exactly what happened with Ethan's case. That said, I found the more steamy scenes (which are frequent) very enjoyable, but the ending was very anti climactic for me. I do look forward to the next book though:)

Let me start by saying that Tricia Daniels is a phenomenal author. The main character, Olivia, has suffered horribly from her last relationship and is afraid to "get back in the game." She ends up meeting Ethan, an extremely hot and wealthy Irish businessman who is her best friend's (Rachel), husband's (Scott) boss and things immediately turn intense. Ethan has a very Irish short temper, and passion beyond a woman's dreams, but also likes to control. Can she survive it and let go of her past baggage to be with the man she's destined for or will she run? The ending of this book is amazing and the use of certain song lyrics and song titles just adds to all of the tension, romance and coming around. Enjoy everyone!! I sure did and can't wait for the next book to this series to be released. :)

I don't even know where to start! The relationship that Olivia & Ethan have is indescribable! All the signs are there indicating they are meant to be as soul mates. Ethan seems to draw the attentions of females all around but can only see Olivia while Olivia has demons that keep her tied to the past that continually haunts her possibly preventing her own happy ending. This books draws out every emotion in a reader. This book will make you cry, laugh, fall in love with the characters, makes you gasps, and will even make your heart stop if not skip a beat. Anyone that hasn't read this book, I strongly encourage it! Anxiously waiting for book 2! <3

I am still SMH about this book...... I loved these characters (especially Ethan) the story was beautiful and I love the whole soul-mate past life thing.....BUT for a very long book with a lot of detail into these characters....the ending was HORRIBLE!! This author is an amazing writer very descriptive; so I felt completely let down by the ending... I literally thought my kindle had broken and the next page just wouldn't pull up. However with that being said I am waiting on book 2 so I can see what happens.

This book was awesome. The story was thrilling and twisted and very emotional. The characters had felt so real though out the book. Their twisted and heartbreaking beautiful story was something unknown. Although I can't believe the ending of this book with the cliffhanger. Thanks for writing an excellent book.

I absolutely fell in love with this book. It has everything you could ever want a book to have, from the story line, to the plot twists, the characters and a hint of mystery mixed in together. I actually wanted to cry when this book finished – you’ll see why when you read the book. I think I almost broke my iPad trying to find an extra page that wasn’t there. Tricia Daniels does an excellent job of developing the characters, allowing you to understand each one of them, fall in love with them and feel their happiness, heartbreak and love throughout the story. This woman has definite raw talent when it comes to writing books that makes you so emotional when reading, to the point where you feel as though you are living the books for yourself.

“Something profound happened between them on that day, something almost ethereal. What started as friendship, blossomed into love. Best friends became lovers. With that long awaited first kiss, they awaken entangled souls. Nothing will ever be the same. Eternity will always be theres.”

I adored the relationship between Ethan and Olivia SO MUCH! They were perfect together. You could feel the love and chemistry coming off the page but at times I really just wanted to shout at them. They each bring their own problems and insecurities into the relationship, but when they are together, they just click in place. Olivia is scarred by a truly horrid past relationship and, unfortunately for Ethan, she tarnishes everyone with this same brush. She expects him to leave, cheat or get angry. She’s terrified when he gets angry because of his past relationship, and Ethan has a short fuse, which doesn’t necessarily go down well. Poor Ethan is struggling with his own demons in the form of his ex, but when he meets Olivia, his world is changed. He wants her for himself. He’s confused by the feelings she brings forth in him. He tries so hard for her and I loved to see the sweet side of him and how he is with Olivia. Even with his bad points, you can’t bring yourself not to like him.

“All he knows right now is that after being with her the past few days, staying away from her is no longer an option. He can’t. He won’t.”

There is a lot of back and forth with the relationship as both struggle to come to terms with their feelings. While they both try, Olivia is constantly telling Ethan that it’s not exclusive, they should see other people when he just wants her. This plan does come to blows however and you want to grab and shake Olivia for continually suggesting this. That was my only gripe with her. She tells him to do something, so he does it, and then she gets upset. Make up your mind woman!

“It is safe to say he has it bad for Olivia James and he doesn’t think that feeling will ever go away. Love her.”

There are a lot of issues and situations throughout the book, but in no way are you overwhelmed at all. Instead, I feel they add to overall feel and depth of the book. I loved the other characters in the book especially Scott. He was always the voice of reason, and although usually right, no one actually listened to his advice. Him and his wife Rachel were such a cute couple, but also added to the realness of the story as they too dealt with their own issues. There’s also the old lady. I’m still trying to figure that aspect of the book to be honest, I get what she means but the air of mystery has me wondering how she knows all these things. Who is she? I hear you ask. You’ll have to read to fin out her role in the book. Overall, this is an amazing book that I feel everyone should read, you don’t like/love every character but you do go on their journey with them. An amazing book and eagerly awaiting the next one. THE ENDING! Tricia Daniels you tease! I loved and hated the ending, but the ending line was priceless. “Go fuck yourself, Ireland”. Perfect.

4.5 out of 5 Fangs

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock!

Olivia James is broken. A series of bad relationships and one horrible incident have left her a shell of her former self. Olivia’s sworn off relationships and men in general but her best friend Rachel has other plans. Plans that come in a recently relocated handsome Irish package.

Ethan O’Connell is trying to put his playboy past and a career-threatening scandal behind him. After moving from Ireland to Canada, a relationship is the last thing on Ethan’s mind. When his subordinate Scott’s wife Rachel nudges him towards her quiet friend Olivia, he’s initially curious. When he locks eyes with the curvy brunette for the first time he knows he’s a goner. The harder Olivia fights his advances, the stronger Ethan’s attraction to her becomes.

“He grins from ear to ear. She’s not hiding a thing. He’s getting under her skin. He can tell.”

As Ethan and Olivia struggle to overcome their personal demons, each starts to be haunted by dreams of a past life together. The dreams become more confusing when fortune teller Eva Stone pays each a visit and shares dire warnings.

“Provide closure to the one who deceived you and the pain will end. New life will welcome you. You must trust the one who guards your soul.”

Strong, alpha-male Ethan and fragile, damaged Olivia have undeniable sparks. I couldn’t help but cheer for them when they made progress in their relationship and feel pain when they stumbled. Intractable Souls ends on a nail biting cliff-hanger but after my initial scream of frustration I found I didn’t mind. The passion between these two characters is so strong and tortured I don’t think it would have made sense for them to fall easily into a happily ever after.

“When I’m with you, I feel like our souls are tangled together and we’re not meant to be apart. Don’t even suggest that you don’t feel the same. How can you question something THAT strong?”

I whole-heartedly recommend Intractable Souls. Interesting characters, a unique plot, and author Tricia Daniels blends just the right amounts of romance, humor, steam, and angst – what’s not to like? The few tiny issues I had with the story dealt more with editing and those were not significant enough to impact my feeling of the overall story.

Intractable Souls is Book One in the Bound for Ireland series. I will be stalking the follow-up story, anxious to see what’s next for Ethan and Olivia. Fingers crossed that it comes soon!

Tricia Daniels Intractable Souls is definitely a MUST READ! Ms. Daniels' beautiful written work accompanied by the HOT sizzling scenes lands this novel straight to the top 10 best books of 2014. There is no need to wait till the end of the year to know that I completely LOVE this book.

The story starts off with the sweet romantic story of Owen and Elizabeth. The young couple started as friends but their love blossomed into a love that is pure. As they kiss, their souls forever connect and they instantly know that their love will last for eternity.

In comes Olivia James, a woman who has been hurt so bad that she feels the need to shelter herself from love. After a horrific breakup with her ex, Olivia drives head first into her work, forgoing any chance of finding love until her best friend, Rachel, intervenes and steers her towards her destiny.

Ethan, a sexy Irishmen with an accent that could melt any woman out of her panties feels this same connection when he first lays eyes on Olivia. He can’t explain it of course and chalks it up to just a physical attraction but as they get to know one another, he realizes that it’s more. Determined to win her love, he doesn’t give up on her although she desperately tried to keep her heart under lock and key.

Ethan’s Irish temper doesn’t help him win over Olivia as his temper often reminds her of the man who’s hurt her before. Agreeing to work on his temper, Ethan gives his all to please Olivia, believing that she is the one for him even though Olivia can only offer “an agreement.” It’s an agreement that keep their relationship solely on a physical level, no relationship; offering Olivia a safe environment to release the building pressure within her.
Hesitant, Ethan accepts.

Their physical arrangement works well at first but both Olivia and Ethan know they want more. Olivia, unwilling to follow what’s truly in her heart continues to push Ethan away. Ethan, having had enough, challenges her in a way that is meant to shed some light on her real feelings for him but of course with Olivia, nothing goes as planned.
This book was a wonderful delight to read. I am truly sad it’s over and am anxiously awaiting Book 2.

Some of my favorite quotes:
“Where do you think I’m going?” She barked out angrily. “I’m going to grab that bitch by the ovaries and use them to rip her uterus out through her nose!” – Olivia to Ethan

“You’re not the only one who feels that way. The moment I saw you… my heart beat your name.” - Ethan to Olivia

“Go fuck yourself, Ireland.” – Olivia to Ethan
