FOUR LOVE A GEEK STARS.
"Have you ever felt like you're exploding from the inside out?"
There is no one I know of who writes young Adult, first love so well. It feels like Cassie Mae has delved into the average teenage brain and taken out all the romantic, awkward, loved up parts and put it all together to deliver a cute, sweet and adorable story. I can't help but fall in love with yet another of this authors hilarious romantic comedies and I'm hoping that those who love this genre will take my word for it, one click this book and fall in love too. Here's the rest of my thoughts ...
What's it all about?
Sierra Livingston is the little sister with the biggest crush on her elder sisters best friend. With nothing left to loose this cute, goofy girl has decided to do all she can to be noticed by the boy who makes her heart go boom. Levi Mason is having a hard time looking after all he loves in his life, In-between band practice and attempting to earn enough money to help out his single mum he doesn't know that he will he have time to explore the feelings that have started to develop for the gorgeous, Sierra. Navigating troublesome high school difficulties and learning about embracing who you are, Sierra and Levi must find a way to make time for love. Jump into this deliciously sweet and geeky filled story of first love and friendship.
What did I love most?
Cassie Mae always has a positive message to tell in her stories, whether it's be yourself or overcome your fears or don't let bullies define who you are. I'm always thoroughly impressed with her ability to create characters that end up being proud of who they are and I appreciate that not every character is gorgeously perfect or predictably popular. I can't help but fall whole-heartedly in love with this authors books and characters, they are super charmingly sweet and most certainly deliver the comedy factor. This book wonderfully navigated through a journey of a friends to lovers story; a favourite trope of mine and coupled with that it had the element of unrequited love which made me one loved-up, happy reader. The writing style as always was solid and entertaining and Cassie Mae also led me right into developing an insane need for the next book in the series. Every character serves it's perfect purpose and it's obvious that the author has a love for writing about this group of high school characters. I will never say no to reading a Cassie Mae book she has my book heart on a plate and I'm always desperate to read more. 'How to seduce a band geek' is an hilariously sweet and funny novel with cute characters and a heart warming message that you won't want to miss.
Why not five?
Am I getting too old to read young adult? I'm hoping the answer to that is no, especially when it comes to a Cassie Mae book. However, I did notice more with this novel than any other of Cassie Mae's young adult series that I was reading about young teenagers. Normally if a story has the cute, funny, romantic emphasis i'm not overly aware of an age barrier to my reading tastes but something about this book made me want to give the warning out that if this genre is not your cup of tea then steer clear. As always with this author I loved the writing style and flow and ultimately the comic genius but I was left aching to learn more about these adorable characters, I craved that something extra to make it a five star.
Final thoughts ...
Cassie Mae never ever fails to give my book heart the biggest loved up work out possible. If I'm not smiling throughout her stories then I'm laughing or wiping away a tear, I can't quite explain in words how perfect this authors writing style is for my inner romantic geek and if I could bottle up how I feel when reading a Cassie Mae book and insert that feeling into everyday life then I'm sure I'd be walking around with the silliest grin possible. If you love to laugh and you can't help but fall in love with a young adult book then you really should not bypass this series or in fact any of Cassie Mae's books. I feel like I'm handed a gift for every time I start one of her novels and I know I'm going to be a forever fan. I heart you Cassie Mae, enjoy readers ... Kisses.

Normally, I do not read young adult. Especially since
(which has been a torture for me). BUT this has been so fun and cute!
We got Sierra (love that name!), a creative geek, an outcast, prude if you listen to gossips,
Levi, a band geek (actually former drummer),
blonde hottie, Sierra's sister Zoe best friend!
And Zoe, and her boyfriend Zak. And their friends Adam, Sydney and Levi's sister Brea.
It is a story about falling in love for the first time. Pure, innocent, nerdy n geeky. Loved it! It was very much grey! Which is important for me, to give people real characteristics. It is not all about love,but about friendship and how you should stand up for yourself.
It think some of the story is based on author's real life, at least that is what I got from "acknoledgements" page. Even better if it is true. ;)

Warning: There will be some serious fangirling in this review. I thought I should give you a fair warning.
So, first of all. There is no "What I didn't like" part. This is, after Switched that is, my favorite book from Cassie. Without a doubt.

I was seriously doing both.
Ok, fangirling apart (or maybe not!) I really, really loved this book.
I had a really hard time liking Zoe in How to Date a Nerd, and I was seriously releaved when I "met" Sierra. I just loved her. And then there is Levi, and YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! He is so totally my book boyfriend (and I said this already, BUT I AM CALLING DIBS ON HIM).
What can I say? This book, for me, was waaaay better that the first one. Way more funny, way more owww *-* (you get the idea right?). Way more everything.
I just wanted to dance and I couldn't cause I was in the lab (and it would have been really awkward if someone caught me dancing around). And yeah. I'm still a little (a LOT!) crazy with this.
I love the fact that we get to see what happens with Zoe and Zak. This Zoe, I really liked her too. Thank god. And we get to meet Adam (another cuttie *-*).

That's the question going through Sierra Livingston's mind every single day. You see, Sierra has a dilemma. She's in love with her big sister's best friend. Not just a "silly girl crush" kind of love. A head over heals, can't get you out of my mind, I can't breathe around you kind of love. But how can she ever get him to see her as anything other than Zoe's 'little sis'?
It doesn't help matters that for the past couple of years she has been put down and bullied because she got out of a bad relationship that ended in a car wreck...literally. The guy is the scuzz of the earth and has no problem starting horrible rumors about Sierra.
The only things keeping her sane and getting her through every day at school are her best friends, Adam and Sydney, and seeing that gorgeous blonde haired, blue eyed masterpiece, that plays the drums in the band and that she stares at in Debate class.
Levi Mason. Can I have him? No, seriously!! He is Amazing with a capitol 'A'!! The thoughts that are always going through Sierra's mind about him take me back to high school! I loved the banter between them.
While playing Tekken Tag...
"Your a** is mine!"~Levi
(In Sierra's mind) Take my a**!! Take it you sexy man, you!
I literally fell over during these scenes laughing my head off!! In true Cassie fashion, there is such great relatable humor in this book, but also a more serious undertone that breaks your heart and makes you swoon at the same time.
Sierra takes on a school project to mentor a 8th grader and help them get ready for high school. As her luck would have it, she gets Levi's little sister, Brea. This was her chance!! Her chance to get closer to her dream. That dream being, of course, Levi:)
"When I get to my feet, I'm almost right up to his chest. Oh, to be there would be like experiencing Disneyland for the first time...But then he takes a step back, ripping my amusement park ticket right from fingers. One of these days I'll get my ride on his chest."~Sierra
But what happens when everything you thought you knew about a person, isn't right? Like...Why is Levi no longer playing the drums? Why did he trade in his Range Rover for a Moped? Why did his family move into a small trailer? It doesn't make since.
As they start to spend more time together, Sierra is discovering that Levi is more than just the pretty face she's always seen. He's become the hero she didn't know she needed. But at the same time, Levi needs her just as much, if not more.

Heart...emotions...everywhere!!! The Feels, oh the Feels!! This book has it all! Sierra and Levi are freakin adorkable.
Things you learn while reading this book:
*Puffed out cheeks and scratching noses are soooo cute!
*Apples and popcorn are amazing smells.
*Finding Nemo is the best movie ever!
*Zak and Zoe are still just as amazingly dorky:)
*Adam is a perfect best friend.
*Levi Mason can rock a piccolo!
And last but not least...You learn that you never know what's going on behind the curtain in people's lives and the choice is yours to either ignore it, snoop behind it or tear it down.

4.75 stars -- I know, I know, 4.75 stars? But seriously, I have a reason. Hold your horses.
NOTE: I was lucky enough to receive an advanced ecopy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review!!
OK, so to say that this book had a lot to live up to in my head is kind of an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed How to Date a Nerd (book 1), and pretty much fell into a total all out crush with Levi from the first moment he walked over to Zoe to see if she was ok. So a book where he's the hero? Oh yeah, definitely going to have high expectations. And oh boy did Ms. Cassie Mae not disappoint. But I will get back to him....
On the other side of the coin, you know what I didn't expect?? That I would actually fall in girl-crush with Sierra. You don't get too much of a feel for her in book 1, other than that she's pretty lost. So I was walking in with a clean slate with her, and let me tell you, I fell in love from the first chapter.... Sierra is my kind of girl. Whereas in book 1, I had a hard time warming up to Zoe, in this book I was all over Sierra from start to finish. I seriously just adore her awkward, rambling, dorky, real self. She was the perfect match for Levi. Seriously, they were so ridiculously cute together, it was like smile-time all the time. Seriously, I'm gushing... I can't even quite describe what it is about them, but their interactions are so innocent, and adorable, and their chemistry builds so nicely so that when you finally get to the swoony parts, you're completely invested in them as a couple.
And this book had another fabulously epic ending (although if I *had* to choose, I would still say Nerd is the most epic ending). Seriously, this is like every teen movie I used to adore watching (oh who am I kidding, *still* enjoy watching) wrapped up in delicious literary form.
OK, so the loss of a quarter of a star?? Well, just to be totally selfish, I wanted more Levi. In the end, this was Sierra's book, and really showcased her growth, and the crazy issues she was dealing with with bullying, friendships growing apart, and just trying to figure out who she was. Which is the problem, b/c now I'm warring with myself b/c while I wanted more Levi, I really really really enjoyed Sierra's story. So what might normally have been a half star loss is only a quarter star loss b/c I honestly can't say that I'd want to lose any of Sierra's story, just that I wanted to know more about what Levi was going through, and just more Levi time altogether. I have a feeling we'll get to see more of that story when we learn Brea's story, so it's not a total loss. Basically I just wanted this story to be longer....I'm thinking I could be appeased with a Levi POV. Not that that was a ridiculously obvious and pathetic hint or anything....*wink*
So yes. I finished this book with the biggest grin on my face, and then proceeded to stress out about what to write in my review to do the book justice...which I probably failed at, but oh well. :)

This is my favorite Cassie Mae book yet! I loved Sierra so much! The whole thing is just so sweet and funny and fun! Just what we've come to expect from Cassie Mae!

I was excited to read this book after the first one, which was pretty fantastic. So, as soon as Sofia finished this and reviewed it - it was my turn.
And it was great. I, like Levi, was unable to afford an instrument when I attended public school, but I didn't have a spare one lying around my house. I had to make due with the second best option - I joined hand bells. Although, unlike Sofia with her band picture, I couldn't find a single picture of me playing the hand bells. Probably for the best, because she teases me enough without seeing proof of it.

One issue I have about this book is I feel sexual assault is becoming a theme in these books. Although it worked well with the story, it's just a bit much that is happened with both sisters.
Going on off that, there is one character in this story (I won't say their name, because spoilers) that I honestly wish was real just so I could punch them in their stupid ass face. I'm glad that Sierra has a great support system and everything was handled.
There are some editing issues, but they're pretty minor and easy to ignore for the most part.
I really enjoyed this book and I'm especially looking forward to the next one... because Adam seems like he is super fecking awesome.
I was excited to read this book after the first one, which was pretty fantastic. So, as soon as Sofia finished this and reviewed it - it was my turn.
And it was great. I, like Levi, was unable to afford an instrument when I attended public school, but I didn't have a spare one lying around my house. I had to make due with the second best option - I joined hand bells. Although, unlike Sofia with her band picture, I couldn't find a single picture of me playing the hand bells. Probably for the best, because she teases me enough without seeing proof of it.

5 Geeky Platypires!
After reading, How to Date A Nerd and loving it. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series. I know a lot of authors have problems writing the second book in a series but fortunately Cassie Mae did not disappoint. I freaking adored this book. Seriously. Jump up & down adored it. This book was filled with so much lovely, mushy YA goodness that I just loved.
I really liked the characters Sierra and Levi. This book is more than just a regular teen angst book. It deals with some realistic subject matters like bullying, drugs and real life family drama. Yet, even with some heavy subject matters, this book still keeps its humor. Kudos on that.
I also need to give a hand to Cassie Mae and her writing style. She can write a "frakking" kissing scene. JUST DAMN. I was literately late at night (early morning) reading it and thinking, "Oh wow, this is magic." If she can do that with a kissing scene what can she do with more. Sign me up to read the next book in this series and Cassie Mae's new adult ones as well.

Perfection.
How can I explain just how perfect this book is?
Gosh, where do I even start?
Okay, let's try it this way...
This book is all about finding the strength to rise above the bullying. The first book was all about being yourself, but this one? It's about staying true to it and not letting every bad thing that other people say get to you.
I'm so proud of the main character, Sierra, because for one, she's a good daughter. She listens to her parents and respects them. Second, she has evolved into nice sister. That's saying something since I kind of hated her in book 1 because she was an annoying teenager. Third, she isn't ashamed of herself. Not really. She's just an unfortunate victim of hurtful words. What I love about her best is how she treated Levi. She's totally head over heels!! The mushy, dreamy moments are not scenes that I get to read about all the time, so that's all good. I love that she was not the least bit turned off when Levi whipped out the band geek persona.
It's awesome!

After reading How to Date a Nerd, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from Sierra in this book. In Nerd she was more a background character, but in this installment she's front and center and she really knows how to carry the story. A bullied outcast at school, Sierra hasn't had it easy since the first book and it shows. She puts on a good act, not even really letting her sister in on how she's suffering at school. And then there's Levi, Zoe's good friend and the guy Sierra's majorly crushing on. He's going through his own issues but, after a few ups and downs, he still manages to be there for Sierra.
The romance that develops between Levi and Sierra is sweet and some of the things Sierra does to get his attention are downright hilarious. The scene when she was in his bedroom had me cracking up. This book, with it's adorkable humor and band geek references, still manages to touch upon some much darker things and they're very well handled. The strength that Sierra shows when she confronted her betrayer was perfect. And getting to see a little more of Zoe and Zak was just a bonus! Overall, this is a very enjoyable book with some laugh out loud moments, a spunky heroine, a hot band geek and a great message.

Okay, I'm not going to lie, I was scared to start this book, because I didn't think I'd have a connection to Sierra after reading about her in Zoe's story.
But I'm glad I did read it! Oh how I adore Sierra! She's fun and spunky and loyal and dorky and creative. She was so fun to read about.
My heart ached for her dealing with those stupid people and how much she let it bother her. But Damn, did she ever stick to her guns during and after that party. You go girl! Haha!
And Levi?? Oh...where do I even being. Oh right, probably should start with yelling at Cassie Mae for writing such amazing guys. Every time I think I love one of her male leads the most, she goes and writes another amazing one. Sigh.

January 23, 2016This story picks up with Zoe’s sister Sierra and her quest to overcome her bad reputation that was unfairly given to her. Sierra has developed the feels for Levi, he is one of the guys that was introduced to the reader in How to Date a Nerd.
Cassie Mae has done a good job writing a clean Young Adult story. She even brought awareness to what goes on at a teen party which I think everyone should be aware of. I really like how the characters from the first book make appearances.
I will definitely recommend this book to others. I give it 5/5 Platypires.

Alright everyone, I need you to prepare yourselves because I am going to do some major gushing in this review!!
I have not enjoyed a contemporary romance this much in a very long time. There have been a few here and there, but the last one that made it to my favorites list was probably Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend by the same author who wrote this book. I have a somewhat difficult relationship with Cassie Mae novels. I have read quite a few, and have been a fan of hers since she was writing under the pen name Becca Anne, but I haven’t liked any of the books she has written as much as I liked Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend. The other books were good, and they had some funny, sweet moments, but nothing gave me that “smiling from the inside out” feeling I was looking for.
I kept reading and waiting, but around the fourth book I decided that I was expecting too much, and I should just be happy with the cuteness that the author was supplying me with and stop asking for perfection.
Well, you know how it always seems like as soon as you give up on something, stop stressing, and just go along for the ride, good things happen? That is exactly what just happened with me and Cassie Mae novels. As soon as I stopped waiting for her to write something that I enjoyed as much as Reasons, she goes and writes something that I enjoyed even more!
This is the second book in the very adorable How To series. While I enjoyed the first book, How to Date a Nerd, the main female character in got on my nerves at times. She spent too much time pretending to be a shallow, mean girl.
How to Seduce a Band Geek follows a similar formula as the one used in How to Date a Nerd, but one of the main differences is why I think I enjoyed this one so much more. Where the main character in the first book knew who she really was and wanted to hide that from the world, the main character in this book has no idea who she is.
What I liked so much about this character was that even when she couldn’t define herself, she was still true to herself. She didn’t do things that made her uncomfortable just so she would be accepted by her peers, and she always stood up for what she knew was right. She spends some time trying to figure out how to dress and flirt, but when it comes to the important stuff like what she is willing to do with her body, how she should treat her friends, or how she should be treated by a boyfriend, she is very clear.
High school is a time when you should find yourself, make mistakes, and do stupid things, but that doesn’t mean that you should be reckless, stupid, and easily manipulated. Sierra’s story really drives this point home without being preachy or unrealistic. Sierra screwed up, but she never mistreated anyone, and I loved her for that! She had insecurities, but she also had a sense of self-worth, and I loved her for that too! But the thing I loved most about that girl, had to be her inner monologue because it was hilarious and sweet all at the same time.
The character was so unapologetic about her crush on Levi, her sister’s best friend. She did all the things that girls do, but are embarrassed to admit we do when we like a guy. She fluffed the boobs and the hair, checked her breath, made sure she constantly smelled like his favorite scent, and stole his hoodie just so she could catch a whif of his scent whenever she wanted. All of those are such cute and realistic things that women and girls do when they like a guy.
I won’t lie Sierra does do some snooping in Levi’s room and try a little too hard with her wardrobe at the beginning of the story, but hey, a girl is entitled to make a mistake or two when she is blinded by a crush. Plus she paid dearly for both the snooping and the low-cut shirts so she learns her lesson. lol
Okay, I think that is enough about the message, let’s get to the even better part of our story, Sierra’s relationship with Levi! Those of you who read the first book in this series will recognize Levi as the guy Zoe, Sierra’s older sister, makes out with a couple of times. If you haven’t read How to Date a Nerd, don’t worry, it is not a requirement in order to enjoy this story, but if you do read it you will understand why I was extra excited to read a book staring Levi! Sierra was actually a huge brat in the first book, but Levi started out as amazing and only got better in this story. I am going to try very hard not to spoil your experience in getting to read about one of the most adorable couples ever to grace the pages of a book, but I also want to whet your appetite a little.
From the beginning, it is pretty obvious to everyone but Sierra that Levi likes her. He does so many cute little things that a guy just doesn’t do when he thinks of you like his best friends little sister, but because they met when he was 16 and she was 14 that is how their relationship started, and it is taking Sierra a while to figure out that he stopped seeing her that way a long time ago. But alas all is not well for our hero and heroine, Those of you who read the first book will remember that Sierra took some rather drastic measures in order to avoid losing her V card, and that action has come back to haunt her. In fact it has been haunting her for the last two years. She has a very undeserved reputation as a tease, and unfortunately certain people in her school take every opportunity to remind her of this label. I like the way my girl handles herself though. She hates the treatment, but she actually spends more time worrying about how her reputation effects those around her than she does feeling sorry for herself. As for Levi, his problems are of a more adult nature and have more to do with how much responsibility he has at such a young age.
It was really refreshing to read about characters who had real problems, but handled them in such a mature way. They didn’t push each other away, lie, or pretend. They actually talked things out and helped each other. Regardless of how wonderfully mature their relationship was, the best thing about is was how cute they were together. I honestly smiled the whole way though reading this book, and there was never a moment when I was frustrated, bored, or unhappy. This is what you read when you are looking for a perfectly sweet high school romance. I will not be able to recommend this enough whenever anyone ask me for a feel good Romantic read. In fact, I have already recommended it! :D

This book was adorable, as I knew it would be. I think this is now my second favourite Cassie Mae book. Since reading Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend I have kept reading all her books hoping they would be as good. They have all been great (except for maybe Switched which I wasnt a big fan of) but this one came the closest.
Levi was adorable, which I knew from How to Date a Nerd. But what I didnt know was that Sierra was so awesome. I love her weird style and how she made her own outfits. I would never wear any of it myself, but at least she was creative and unique. I liked that about her.
I loved how to story was so simple and straight forward. Sierra didnt need to hatch an elaborate plan to win Levi. They just clicked. Probably the only reason it didnt happen sooner was because Sierra was younger than him, and I know from experience that even if you are friends with someone for years, you just have to look at them from the right angle or in the right situation before seeing them as a love interest. I assume the same will go for Adam and Brea, since 2 more years will pass before the next book.
And Adam was totally awesome in this book. I am kinda sad that he goes from being Sierra's best friend to Brea's, but of course he will be something different for Brea. :P But I think Adam has the potential to be even more awesome than Levi. He was like the best friend in the world to Sierra. I think its funny that he was so short in this, but he was only 16 and guys are still growing at that age, so maybe he will have a growth spurt before How to Hook a Bookworm.
Sidney was a monster! Oh my gosh I cant believe what she did to Sierra! I was so happy when Sierra yelled at her. She deserved worse.
And again I loved the ending. I love the big public scenes. It reminds me a lot of teen movies. I think these would all make great movies, and I cant wait to read How to Hook a Bookworm! Why is the release date so far away!?

How do I seduce a band geek?
Right question there, Sierra. I'm sure everyone would love to know the answer to that question especially if the band geek would be as sensitive and swoon worthy as Levi.
For all of those who have read the first book, How To Date A Nerd, we all met Sierra as Zoe's little pesky sister. I don't know if it's just me, but I didn't like her that much in Nerd. Maybe because details wasn't really given about her which is completely understandable since, well, it was Zoe's story afterall. Anyway, it's awesome that Sierra gets her own book.
If you think that Zoe was hilarious, then I can't wait for you to meet Sierra. She's a riot! Maybe it's on the Livingston genes but these girls seriously don't fail at cracking me up. I spent half of the novel laughing like a retarded seal. Sierra is the kind of MC that I would really love to hate but also makes my heart ache a little. Hate, because she was shallow as a kiddy pool from the start. I was mildly irritated by the 74626472 times she mentioned the alignment of her boobs. But she also makes me ache, because she's so loyal as a friend, so adorable as a sister and daughter, and an awesome and hilarious human being. We all honestly need a Sierra in our life.
And of course there's the guy who we need the seduce, Levi. Ahhhh, Levi. You make me flail. Can you erase that stupid face of yours?! Ugh I hate you! I mean, Where are the Levi's of our planet???! Why does guys like this only exist in Cassie Mae's novels? Whyyyyyy. Levi is purrfect. He's adorkable. Yep, that's what he is.
I don't know what to say anymore. We all know it's going to be romantic. We all know it's going to be a laugh out load with a sigh in ending kind of read. We all know it's going to be awesome, uh, it's from Cassie Mae?! Need I say more? But I guess, what makes this satisfying for me is the realistic character development of Sierra. There's a lot of teenagers out there like Sierra for sure (I was once a Sierra and I regret nothing) Anyway, this isn't just a typical swoontastic read. It has a message, that's why I completely adore it. And it is told by an honest and funny protagonist who believes that if you want something, or someone, you go for it! Even if it means staying under their bed for a whole night.
Oh and one more thing, can I just comment on how grown up Zoe here?! Really. She's an awesome sister.
It's enjoyable, hilarious and deliciously sweet. What more can you ask for?

This review is gonna be short and sweet because if I go on for too long I'm just gonna be rambling and repeating myself.
This book was AWESOME!! Like seriously I am fangirling over how fricking cute it was! I think this has become my favourite novel by Cassie Mae. It was so adorkable and sweet and nerdy and funny and...I think you get the idea ;)
I loved Sierra! I didn't know what I was gonna think of her because I didn't really like her in How to Date a Nerd but after Band Geek I think I like her even more than Zoe :) Bless her heart she is so awkward and such a glutz. It was like watching Bambi learn how to walk. Her inner monologue was hilarious. She is such a dork. And she suffers from a serious case of word vomit. I cringed so many times :P
I loved Levi. He was so sweet and adorable. I felt so bad for what he was going through at home. I would have liked there to be a bit more of him in the story, to find out more about what he was going through but I'm sure we'll see more of him in the next book as it's about his sister, Brea. I loved too that we got to see more of Zak and Zoe. They are so cute together and are still the biggest geeks ever :P
So yeah if ya can't tell, I loved this book :) It was all kinds of cute and had another awesome ending! If you are looking for something light and fun and will leave you with the biggest grin on your face then this is the book for you. I cannot recommend it enough! Now bring on book 3, How to Hook a Bookworm :)

"I need someone to take care of me."
Why can't you not be a fictional character? Why can't you not live in a book?! I'd take care of you forever, Levi! And while I'm at it, I'd also be glad to have your babies!
I liked How to Date a Nerd but I LOVED this one. Sierra was absolutely hilarious! She didn't just get a giggle or two from me - she made me explode into hell-raising laughter, complete with the weird shaking and leg-slapping. I could also relate to her adorable crush on Levi.
And if you hadn't guessed from the first paragraph, I also found Levi sawoon-worthy. Not because the author made him perfect or whatever (though he was pretty much close to it) - but because he was such a flawed character. He was friendly to everyone but not smooth in talking to the girl he liked. He was talented but dorky. He was chivalrous and gentle but had bad troubles at home that could often get the best of him. He was so real.
I'm so excited for book three especially after I found out it's Adam's story! I loved him, too! Why does it have to be released a full year from now?!

Reading Cassie Mae makes always leaves me with a massive smile on my face, How to Seduce a Band Geek was totally Awesomesauce:)
We met Sierra in How to Date a Nerd and she was the little sister who played up. This story is set two years later and i was happy to see Sierra and Zoe's relationship had developed a lot. Sierra was definitely one of my favourite characters and i love the feeling of teenage romance when every "accidental" brush against the other person is a huge deal, Sierra definitely made me feel that along with her.
Levi is just swoonworthy. We already knew from Nerd he was an all round nice guy but it was great to find out more about him in Band Geek.
There are still plenty of insights into Zoe and Zak which i really loved and the addition of Adam and Bree to the cast just makes me want to carry on reading this series.
Band Geek had me laughing out loud in the first chapter, feel like i was feeling in love along with Sierra, cringing and gasping out loud with my hand over my mouth saying out loud to a confused looking Fiancé "I can't believe she did that!" I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a fun happy read that will leave you smiling.

I WANT A BAND GEEK!!! I can smell like apples and I wear glasses..so I could snag one..right!!
Levi and Sierra are THE greatest couple yet in this series! I loved reading about a young girl who wasn't afraid to stick her guns about her beliefs and what she wasn't ready for yet, even if did mean wrecking her sister's car!! She made me laugh at her nervousness and antics that she did to get Levi's attention.:)
Levi has had some rough patches in his life recently and is having a hard time struggling between work, school, and a new instrument in band. Sierra is his best friend's little sister and he can't possibly like her...can he?
Their journey is rough, but full of laughs, flirting, moped rides in the middle of the night, and young love. Another hit for Cassie Mae!!!

Best first kiss in the history of first kisses! I LOVED this book! I think Cassie Mae is some sort of genius - this book is funny, sweet, geeky and moving and impossible to put down once you start it. The first kiss in this book was amazing and so well written I went back and read it twice. I loved the characters and I'm so happy that Zoe and Zak from How to Date a Nerd made so many appearances. I think that this book has a really good message about just being who you are. I wish I could take that advice and go back to high school myself and have a do-over. I really loved this book and highly recommend it!

Loved this book even more than Nerd! Cassie brings the characters to life again and I absolutely love Levi! One of my favorite books that Cassie Mae has written.

~My Thoughts~
Well this book is different, everyone deals with pressure but to be betrayed by one of your friends like that for accepts is just a slap in the face. What’s worse is the nightmare afterwards, while the author did an amazing job at this, there are moments I did not see coming.
~Story~
WTF did I just read comes to mind when certain science pop in mind. While it was a slap in the face to have been betrayed by a friend, the guy she likes is amazing. It’s not only did she fall for a stand up guy, but it’s his personality that shine through. Not only is this guy trying to be responsible, he is also trying to get his life together without regrets. Making sure that when he gets his life together his girl won’t have to worry about if he has enough time with her or not. There are moments in this book where I’m shocked and surprised that the author wrote that. Not only was it a shock but it was well written that as a read you know it can happen in real life. The love story is amazing, the guy and the girl as teenagers snuggling to live in the adult world with all the worries that come with it.

Holy crap. How do I start this review? I just got done reading this one and I’m trying to figure out where to start. Hmm, how about the beginning? LOL
I won this book a long time ago in a giveaway and only just got to it now. My friend (the one and only Krystle from http://kookiekrysp.com/ ) told me that it was a cute/sweet read and that she thought it was right up my alley. And of course she was right. It turns out this book was everything she bragged about. I loved it. Simple as that.
I’ve read other works from Cassie Mae, but this one is certainly my favorite by far. And I’ll tell you why.
I love a story where the two MCs are flawed in some way, or nerdy, which was the case with this book. It’s far more realistic with how kids really are, and I loved that the author stuck true with this theme throughout the story. None of the characters were described as super models (Well, aside from Sierra’s overdramatized description of Levi. But come on, the girl was high from crushing on him. Girls can make any guy sound like a rock star when they’re blinded by love). Anyway, it was a very refreshing change for once. Also, the relationships in this story were realistic, true, and funny at times. Life is messy and this book totally showed that. But it never got too ridiculous or over the top with angst to where I found it annoying.
Lets talk about the stars of this love story: Levi and Sierra. OMG Sierra was hysterical, and lets be honest, a bit more than juvenile at times. But hey, she’s only sixteen and she has a massive crush on her sister’s best friend. I gave her some leeway for acting a tad more than ridiculous at times. But what I really loved here was how they balanced each other out. Levi was a bit older and had a lot of responsibilities, which really translates to he was more mature than Sierra. When he got too intense with life’s frustrating situations, Sierra was there to bring a bit of lightness back to the scene. And the same goes for Sierra. I felt like exploring her feelings for Levi gave her a better perspective and made her a bit more serious at times. They had a nice yin and yang thing going on that I really enjoyed.
The romance was slow built and very natural. I also liked how we got a glimpse into her sister’s and friend’s lives. Adam was a complete sweetheart and her sister Zoe was a great character as well. Overall the story was fun, and I read this book in one day. I just couldn’t put it down. And when I can’t put a book down, that means only one thing: I loved it.

This is the second book in the How To series and I love how the two main characters in this book were introduced to us in book 1 and the main characters in book 3 were introduced to us in this book. Hope this makes sense.
Book 1 was about Zoe and Zak and book 2 is about Zoe’s best friend Levi and her sister Sierra. Sierra has fallen big time for Levi but he doesn’t seem to notice, he treats her like Zoe’s little sister. So as the title suggests how does she go about seducing a band geek? Well it certainly helps when you have been paired with Levi’s sister Brea for a mentoring program. Sierra thinks this will be perfect as she can dig for information about Levi so that she can work out how to get him to notice her.
Sierra really is different from Zoe (although hidden in there is a geek). She designs her own funky clothes from stuff that nobody else wears any more. Seriously who would think to turn your dad’s old shirt into a skirt? In the first book she was a bit of a trouble maker/problem child but I think she was just trying to get some attention from her overworked parents. The parents are still overworked and absent but now she has calmed down, started high school and is suffering from her “wild” ways from the previous year. She has started the year off being bullied, picked on and ostracised by all the other kids just because she crashed her sister’s car so that she didn’t have to sleep with her then boyfriend. Teenagers really can be cruel. She spends all her time with her best friends Adam (hello MC for book 3) and Sydney, although after Sydney’s stunt at the party she pretty much gets ditched. Sierra really comes into her own, realising that if she wants to get Levi to notice her then she needs to just be herself and stop putting on an act.
Levi is a real sweetie. I really do love him and felt so sorry for him for all the family problems he has had to go through. In book 1 he was constantly seen with drum sticks sticking out of his back pocket, but now the sticks are gone and he is playing the piccolo of all things. At least he is still playing music. He really does have the world on his shoulders and just doesn’t want to get too close to Sierra because he doesn’t want to disappoint him. As I said, he is so sweet.
I think one of my favourite scenes is when Sierra gets caught in Levi’s room under his bed and has to stay there for hours until he goes out. That was so funny, I couldn’t stop laughing.
Favourite quotes/lines:
“I get it if you don’t want me to, but….please? Please can I just have one moment when I feel like I can take care of you?”
Now I laugh. Or snort, because I’m so very hot like that.
