Kick off the holidays with five heartwarming romances from bestselling authors Kirsten Osbourne, Carré White and more!

The Man from Cripple Creek by Carré White

After the ravages of Smallpox left her scarred for life, Willow Brady had resigned herself to spinsterhood. A chance meeting with a rugged stranger changes everything, as she's drawn to his sadness, which mirrors her own.

Almost Lonely by Anya Karin

Lottie Wright's home town of Almos, Texas, was a vibrant little farming community until just about everyone left, fearing the Civil War coming their direction. Now, she must come to terms with herself and finding love in the most unexpected places when outlaw-on-the-run Colton Howe appears on her doorstep.

Mail Order Matron by Kirsten Osbourne

After a life dedicated to her mother, Julia takes a chance and becomes a mail order bride. Edward, a lonely widower, has no hope that any woman will answer his advertisement. Will this unlikely couple find love together?

Unwanted Bride by Flora Dare

When Heloise's beau chooses her sister, she decides to start a new life as a mail order bride. But the man who wrote the letters isn't the one she's marrying, it's his errant nephew. Can they move beyond their past and have a loving first Christmas together?

Romancing Rosalie by AnnMarie Oakes

When Rosalie flees Boston and her cheating fiancé for the Colorado Territory, it might be the perfect refuge, if she can accept the hardships of frontier life. Trouble is, Garrett Ballinger, the local marshal, is plenty interested in the pretty Easterner. Can a Christmas miracle warm up Rosalie's frozen heart?

This is so not worth the $4.99 currently being charged for it. Four of the five stories are nearly intolerable, and I found myself rolling my eyes and sighing, hoping they would end quickly. It wasn't quickly enough. They were trite, corny, and badly written. Typos, misspellings, word confusion, and some physics that defied logic.

'The feet of Will's chair hit the floor one after another..."

The entire anthology reads like a mishmash of hastily slapped-together stories that the authors didn't even bother to proofread or even give proper endings to. The overall quality of the writing was just bad, and the women who contributed to this should be embarrassed.

'Outside her door, she heard a snicker and herself smiled.'

'There was a nice looking set of stores and had a general air of prosperity.'

'Jonathan drug a bench...'

'...and Daddy let's him come home...'

'...and he revealed in her sheath's joyful pulses.'

'She knew she should be ashamed of her wanton impulses, but somehow she didn't.'

'His fingertip traced with edge of her mouth.'

'One more set of memories to hold her in her heart.'

Just don't bother. I realize that the price reflects a breakdown of roughly .99 cents per novella, but even that is too high a price to pay for cheesy, poorly-written crap.

These box set for 99 cents was not bad at all. I was lucky to get it from Netgalley for free for a honest review. I adored all 4 stories. They each grabbed the reader and made you want to read till the end. You wanted to know of love was going to win out. If I had to choose a favorite form the bunch it would have to be Almost Lonely. The reason for this is an outlaw keeps his promise on coming back to visit Lottie and she is even more surprised he came. The two fall in love and the story was heart warming.
All 4 stories are really good and the characters pop that was the main reason for loving the stories. Each character brought something to the story and made you melt wanting to see the outcome.
Thank you Netgalley for the book to review.

This bundle is absolutely perfect.

I enjoy reading stories with an underlying holiday theme this time of year and each of the ones made available here have that and so much more. There are characters you will fall in love with, each over coming some sort of hardship and finding their happily every after and characters you will also love to hate (Unwanted Bride).

Not one of the five stories listed was a downer. Some are hot, some are chaste, but each is enjoyable separately and together. I think this is quite the bargain bundle of novellas considering how well written each of the authors stories are. I was glued to these stories and couldn't put my Kindle down. I cannot recommend this ninety-nine sent wonder enough for those who enjoy old western romance tales.

Very sweet and innocent stories. This book is made up of several (5, I think) different short stories that take place around Christmas time in the 1800's time period. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the writing, story lines or characters.... but I am so used to reading 300-400 page historical romances, that it was odd to read a love story where the characters meet, fall in love and get married, and 'the end' in a weeks worth time. I guess I prefer a more drawn out storyline where it feels more believable to watch every aspect of the characters going thru situations, drama, and falling in love slowly instead of in a paragraph or two. But, this book was sweet. :)

I really liked this box set. Each book had it's own merits. I loved each and every one of them. I wasn't sure what I'd be getting as they were free at the time, but I am so glad that I took a chance. They were entertaining, sweet and believable.

This was a really good Christmas book. All the stories were full of new love with sweet endings. I hated for each one to end.

Easy read

The rating is because it was just what I was looking for. Simple, no significant violence, good people mostly, and a happy ending.
