If "Collected" and "Rakosi" doesn't nab you, maybe this will:

THE POEM

comes in
like an ocean
blow
into my head

and goes out
as a small model
into the world,
smelling
like a rose,
hmmm?

I read it. I don't think Rakosi was the best of the Objectivists but it was interesting and I like his rhythm.

I love this book, tho I have not visited recently. the Objectivists had a working class vibe, didn't they? there is something cheerfully hardworking about Rakosi. it is about poems, and he rarely pushes to the momentous, but rather the breezy littoral of the moment. highly recommended.
