As a mysterious virus begins turning people into violent, flesh starved monsters. Timmy Two-Step scrambles to save his sister from a world gone mad. Once reunited with their mother their journey for survival truly begins. A journey that will take them across a terrifying apocalyptic landscape filled with mindless Rabid, diabolical religious zealots, and militias with itchy trigger fingers, all while searching for food, shelter, and above all else, answers.
I did enjoy this story! Something completely different for a zombie adventure! I really liked the characters & plot line, don't want to give anything away! This is not for hard core zombie fans ut for those that enjoy it more on the lighter side! A really good read! I will look for more by this writer!
I picked this book up yesterday afternoon, and finished it within 24 hours. It would have been far faster if I wasn't sleeping and working the vast majority of that time. Really an awesome read. I've always been a bit biased against books written from the first person perspective, but this one used it to great effect. It really helped you to see if from the perspective of a survivor. Great action sequences, and the author really paints the imagery very well. Not to mention the very apparent amount of research that had to go into this novel. Excellent detail on everything from weaponry to basic survival rations.
In any event, stop reading this review and BUY THE BOOK! You seriously won't regret it. I for one can't wait until round two.
Within the first couple of chapters the apocalyptic crap hits the fan. It starts with a teenage boy named Tim, he is the narrator and the main character. A southern boy who dresses like a cowboy and loves interpretive dance and is somewhat socially awkward. After the "Rabid" take over he suddenly turns into a total bad ass. This book has all the ingredients for a great thriller. Comedy, suspense, sadness, violence, surprises, heroes, villains, and more! If you are a fan of post apocalyptic zombie books, this one is a must read. The ending left me hanging, so I'm pretty sure this will be a series. Hopefully there is another book.
