Scotland Romance #2

Scotland Forever

Rate this book
THIS BOOK CONTAINS ADULT SITUATIONS, LANGUAGE, AND SEXUAL SITUATIONS. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ONLY THOSE OVER THE AGE OF 18 READ THIS BOOK.

The second in the Scotland Romance series, this novella starts out with the story of how Evi’s grandparents fell in love so many years ago during a ten day vacation.

We then catch up with Rury, to see who catches his eye, and perhaps his heart.

Finally we catch up with Evi and Eddie, and see what comes next for them.

Originally book 2 was going to be either Neil’s Story or Ian’s Story. After I released Evi’s Story, several of my readers contacted me asking for more of the story on how Evi’s grandparents fell in love all those years ago. I adore my readers, and was only too happy to give them their wish!

This is the second in this series and it delivers on many levels! We are given back story and it continues our relationship with Evi and Eddie, Rury and Teresa and the whole MacMillan clan! We are given more glimpses of Edinburgh and I like the idea of websites giving us more places to visit. The strength of the love with the couples is heartwarming. My favorite part was when Evi opens the can of “Whoop” and defends her man! I was cheering in the family room and glad I did not wake the house! I love her strong female characters. The weddings, tartans and kilts made me smile. I am excited to see where we go next with this clan!

I received an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was gifted this book by the author herself after I won some contest too long ago to even remember which one. That said, I reeeeally liked this novella and I wish there were more books to this series.
Rury, Rury, Rury. This young man had my eyes all shiny and my heart go pitpat. He'd deserve a full book for sure!!!

This is the second in the series and definitely should be read in order.
In reading her grandmother’s diary, Evi embraces the similarities between her love story and her grandmothers. She also finds that even her tendency to giggle at the Scottish accent appears to be hereditary. Eddie’s brother Rury has staked his claim on the bride of his choice. He only has to convince her that it will work. Eddie has his own problems in making it to the altar when a jealous ex tries to recapture his heart the hard way.

Isn’t that book cover beautiful? According to Ms. Champlain, her photographer had done a wedding and the bride’s pictures were visible on the website for future brides to see his work. Ms. Champlain talked them all into allowing this real wedding picture to be used for the book cover! How romantic for that bride!!

This book had me laughing out loud in a lot places, crying happy tears, feeling our Evi’s frustrations, and cheering. Ms. Champlain has created a family to love. I will continue to follow this series.

BTW: We still haven’t seen Eddie in that kilt, but we did see him in his motorcycle leathers. We’ll keep working on him!

Recommended for: 18+ due to adult situations, sexual content
Grammar/editing: B – a few small errors

Picking right up where the last book left off, this book did a great job of tying up any loose ends to the story. Although I wished it was a little (OK a LOT) longer (I just love these characters so much), it definitely is a winner.

I liked the continuation of the story of Evi and Eddie. I also liked the Theresa/Rury angle. I want these characters to go on forever though...I want Mary's story, and Neil's!

Overall, I loved it, of course. I haven't read anything by Ms. Champlain that I haven't loved!!!

This was a feel good book. :-) it definitely added all the right things to the story of Evi and only made me love her more. I would have liked to know more about Teresa, but the questions I had about her as a character didn't take away from the story or plot. I was laughing so hard several times throughout this story. I liked that this author makes me feel so much for her characters. It's the reason I want to get to know them more. Ready to read more of C.L. Champlain's writing.

Another great fun read by this author. You really do need to read the first one in this series first though, to get the full effect! I am ready to go to Scotland now. :-)
