This is the second book in the How Do You Voodoo trilogy and again, it was a very short book but it followed on perfectly from the first instalment. Nola and Louis got together at the end of the previous book and in this one it’s time to plan their wedding. Nola has to make a brave decision whether to leave her modelling career behind and Louis is in his final year of becoming a doctor so planning their wedding hasn’t been easy however, it gets even harder when the press get involved, Nola gets betrayed by a close friend and Louis’ American and Haitian relatives start performing rituals which will summon the spirits of their dead ancestors so they too can join the wedding. The voodoo isn’t over for Nola!

I’ve grown quite fond of these characters which I’ve followed through two books and it’s nice to see that they’ve changed, especially Nola who is now compassionate and caring compared to the first book where she was stuck-up and self-obsessed. Janice really shows how much Nola has grown up over the space of the two books. I found this book slightly different to the first. It was a bit more slow paced and took a fair while for anything ‘Voodoo’ to happen (compared to How Do You Voodoo when it all happened within the first few chapters). However as certain events happen along the way you know that something is coming and I wasn’t expecting it when it did arrive! I like how their wedding plans are all going fairly well and you think everything is going to go to plan but then all of a sudden ‘Voodoo’ comes and slaps them around the face again.

Janice’s writing style is consistent and well established and extremely easy to read and get lost in. Just like the first book, this one proved to be different, fresh and enjoyable. She keeps all the aspects of the book in balance and doesn’t over do it with the romance or the drama. She also keeps to the theme of the books which is crucial considering the title and the way the first one panned out. The third and final part of Nola and Louis’ story,’ Voodoo Child’ will be out in October this year and I can’t wait to see what Janice has in store for them.

Nola Nichols and Louis McGregor are so deeply in love and planning their wedding. However, they are not your average couple. Nola is a world famous and much sought after supermodel and Louis is a young up and coming doctor. Their hectic lifestyles don’t leave them much time to set a date for their wedding, much less make preparations.

Once a date has been set the task of inviting relatives to the event falls on Nola. However, Nola and Louis get more than they bargain for when Nola invites ‘past’ and present family members from Louis side to the wedding. Will the wedding go as planned? Will the eccentric relatives from Haiti and New Orleans have their own ideas of how the wedding will go? How will the happy couple manage to keep the press away and will that good old voodoo magic change the course of their big day? Add in a contingent of Scottish relatives from Nola’s side and there’s quite an eclectic mix of wedding guests! What could possibly go wrong?!

Voodoo Wedding is the second novella in the Voodoo Romance Trilogy and was such a fun read and I read the entire thing in one sitting. Janice Horton has created such an array of interesting and colourful characters. From the first story in the trilogy, ‘How do You Voodoo’ we can see how the characters have developed and matured, particularly Nola. The love story between Nola and Louis is sweet and I had a few moments when it tugged at my heart strings! I certainly cannot wait to read the final part of the story ‘Voodoo Child’ when it is released. Voodoo Wedding is the perfect book to read whilst snuggled up on the sofa with a glass of wine and a roaring fire! Congratulations to Janice Horton on yet another great story!

Nola Nichols the famous international supermodel is getting married. Although fiancé Louis would much prefer a small quiet wedding with Nola still in demand and popular in her career it looks like this will be another big celebrity wedding.

On a trip to Houston Nola decides to stop off at New Orleans and she arranges to meet and invite some relatives of Louis that live there, to the wedding. It turns out that the relations of Louis are into voodoo and one even goes as far as to give Nola a protection talisman. But from what or whom does Nola need protecting from?

I really looked forward to catching up with Nola in book two of the Voodoo Romance Trilogy and I was not disappointed. It is another entertaining and enjoyable read from author Janice Horton. This novella can easily be read in one sitting and I did because I could not put this book down! I really like Nola’s adventures and I really like that a visit to Scotland is always on the way in Janice books. I can’t wait to go on to book three and to be in Nola’s company again.

Weddings are stressful occasions, everyone knows that, but there's no room for an indulgent bridezilla moment here. Have you ever been to a Voodoo Wedding? No? Well neither has bride-to-be Nola and when her 'new' family arrive normality goes out of the window. They bring with them some rather unusual traditions ... including ju-ju dolls and a rather 'strange' altar! The second novella in this series, author Janice Horton entertains and I love the 'bite-size' read. A perfect evening's reading with laughter, romance and a touch of Voodoo magic!

Janice Horton does it again. In the second book of her Voodoo series, Nola and Lewis are getting ready to be married. Family means everything to Nola after she reconciled with her own in How Do You Voodoo? However, Lewis wants to keep his family at arm's length or further since his family has roots in voodoo rituals.

Believable characters and unusual wedding preparations to say the least, but an excellent non-putdownable read!

The second of Janice Horton's Voodoo Trilogy was my personal favorite of the 3. This one was had the main character going to the extreme's to find a way to remove a curse. And she was taught a very valuable life lesson about how shallow she is. It's light, short and very easy to read. I don't want to stick pins in anyone's bubble (no voodoo pun intended) so I won't give any more away. Romance, suspense and comedy are what makes the wedding planning crazy.

Voodoo wedding is set twelve months after the first book, Nola and Louis are all loved up and planning their wedding.  Louis wants a quite wedding but Nola intends to invite all his family.

I really enjoyed how Janice wrote about Louis family and their customs and beliefs even if Louis doesn't believe any if it.

I guess there is a message to this book, that even when you try to please everyone else, you should really do what you want on your wedding day.

A fun, entertaining read. After reading the first in this series I jumped straight into this story and sped through it. I really enjoyed this next part of Nola's tale - it was amusing and pleasurable to read. Now...to wait for the next!
