This is one of the best suspense and action packed reads I have read this year!!
Not only does this book have a great love story, but also kept me on the edge of my seat with all of the suspense. Talk about heart pounding adventure with pure adrenalin! I was completely exhausted by the end of this book and I swear it was like watching an action packed movie from start to finish!
This author beautifully articulates this story of lies, deceit, wealth, power, lust and an all too consuming love.
Cameron Sterling is on the fast track at making partner at his law firm and is willing to do anything to make it happen. That includes helping one of the wealthiest fashion moguls, Sig Krok cover up his indiscretions. Little does Cam know that the woman he met in the elevator and cant get out of his mind is none other than Lilly Amsell, fashion model and Sig's fiancé. So when the couple formally meet and sparks fly it's only the beginning of a clandestine relationship that will take them into a world ruthless adversaries. Because Sig has no intentions of letting Lilly go.
The story takes us through the dirty dealings of Sig and the law firm, the indiscretions of Lilly and Cam, and the revelations of epic proportions! I keep referring to a movie, but honestly this could be made into one, it's that good!
This is only the beginning of my newfound relationship with Ms. Whitney's books. I look forward to reading more from this exceptionally talented author!

I had the pleasure of meeting the author of this book in New York recently she was there as a fan girl just like me. Gina is seriously one of the funniest women I have ever met and I had an amazing time. I honestly never heard of her until that day and I was truly missing out. After meeting and getting to know her, I had to read one of her books because her personality is so charismatic, and extremely funny that I was sure I would see those attributes in her writing. Guess what? I was right!!
I really loved the characters in this book. Lilly is a survivor, she had to do what she needed to do to survive her past and this past is a tough pill to swallow. I really like the way the author showed realism of how a person sometimes needs to cope with life, it made the character of Lilly more believable. These strategies were not really the best way but the best that she could do at the time; the sad part is she was on a path that eventually could destroy her. Her internal dialog had me laughing out loud through the book. I think it was a great concept to have her have two personalities, not in a Sybil kind of way but a conscious decision to be two different people. It was all part of her coping mechanism. Lilly is beautiful, smart, extremely likable and witty and even sad in one personality and a pretentious beautiful, rich spoiled bitch in the other. The latter is how she wanted people to see her because she believed the real person she was would not be acceptable in the world she lived in. The beauty of her story was watching as she came into her real self again with the love of a good man of course.
Cam, the very tall dark and handsome alpha male with an extra 12 inches of muscle, I thought he was an egotistical ass at first, and then I realized he was just misunderstood and I came to love him (came is the operative word here). He had his own past of strife to contend with and demons to fight. He was determined to be the best and to become the best at everything. Nothing and no one was going to get in the way. That was until a certain elevator ride introduced him to the likes of Lilly and she became the game changer.
Cam and Lilly’s chemistry is explosive and I connected with them, I felt their struggle, I felt the moment when they fell in love. I understood why they had to do the things they did, but it pissed me off at times. There are some characters in the story that I wanted to tear their tiny balls off and then feed them to the sharks.
This is not just a love story it is filled with mystery, danger, intrigued and action. All of which the reader needs to experience for themselves, I will not tell! I related to this book like the movie The Firm but Cam is Tom Cruise on sexual steroids! The author Gina Whitney writes a story that has something for everyone and I highly recommend it! I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.

Beautiful Lies was the story of Cameron Sterling, an attorney, and Lilly Amsel, a model and the arm candy of one of the most influential clients of Cam's law firm, Sig Krok, a mogul in the fashion industry. But Sig has got some dirty little secrets, and Cam's firm Wotherspoon and Associates specializes in handling them. Cam knows that the firm he works for isn't exactly on the up and up, but he has a mission to accomplish. He wants to make partner and he will do that by any means necessary. He has no problem getting a little dirty to reach his goal and he knows that his successful handling of Krok's case will put him on a fast track to partner at the firm. With that end in mind, Cam attends a swanky dinner at the behest of Mr. Wotherspoon himself. Cam does not do the rubbing elbows thing but the partner carrot is ever dangling before him so he puts on his game face and shows up. The dinner isn't really swanky at all but an gauche display of wealth and power. Sickened by it all, Cam wants to get out of dodge but then he sees her. Her is none other than Ms. Lilly Amsel who Cam "met" a few days prior at his gym. Although he was instantly attracted to her physical beauty, he judged her as one of the vapidly wealthy and almost dismissed her without prejudice. Almost! Lilly imprinted herself onto Cam's mind so when he saw her at the dinner, his attraction came roaring back. He wants her and she wants him. But there's one huge obstacle standing in their way. SIG! And he is not so willing to relinquish his claim on the lovely Lilly. The couple will have to fight for their lives and their loves when everything is said and done.
This story was a roller coaster ride from beginning to end. As I drew closer to the end, I may and/or may not have threatened Ms. Whitney with physical violence if Cam and Lilly's story ended in a cliffy. Fortunately for her, I didn't have to go all crazy fiction reader a la Kathy Bates in Misery on her. There were moments throughout the story where I wanted to punch Lilly and Cam in the face. Hard. They were judgmental and critical of each other when their situations were exactly the same. Gah! But, I also felt sorry for them too because they were just in a seemingly no-win situation and it was obvious how much they loved each other. Fortunately for them, fate was on their side and love prevailed. As the book prepares to close and Lilly and Cam are at the brink of utter despair, a ray of light shines down on them and pieces start to quickly come together for them. In one way, those pieces came together a bit too quickly and neatly. But, I am not a fan of cliffhanger at all (see previous comment about threatening the author with bodily harm *smile*) so the rapidity of the story's crescendo made total sense. And, *big sigh*, I totally appreciated how the story concluded. The Cam and Lilly we see at the end of the story were markedly different from the couple who were present in the beginning of the story.
If you love stories with a little angst, a lot of drama, and smoking passion then this is a story you will enjoy.
VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.I just finished reading Beautiful Lies and I have to say that my nerves are simply fried. This story felt like the movie, The Devil's Advocate but with a twist. A major twist.

Excited to start Beautiful Lies, I read the blurb and a couple snippets of reviews. Getting into the book I realized that I had set my expectations too high. Beautiful Lies is one of those books where other people love it and I just could not get into it. Cameron Sterling and Lilly Amsel meet unexpectedly when they’re both entering a high class gym for their work outs. They catch each other’s eye and an instant attraction begins. Confident it was a fleeting moment, they both walk away. Cameron finds out at work that he’ll be thrust into Lilly’s world thanks to her rich, powerful boyfriend. The two dance around each other and so it goes…
The plot contrived for Beautiful Lies provided a unique angle to tell a love story. A model caught under the spell of the hot attorney who represents her controlling, arrogant boyfriend in shady business dealings. Her past is ugly and she’s created a shield of self-importance to hide behind. The hot shot attorney, also burned by his past, creates a fire needing stoked. It’s a good plot, intriguing. It’s what caught attention in the first place. Unfortunately, I found the plot to be underdeveloped and chaotic.
The writing, told from dual POV’s, never really developed one plot fully before moving onto something else. We didn’t find out a lot about the pasts that haunted each character yet we heard superficially that it was haunting. It wasn’t really a love triangle, Lilly caught in the web of this powerful boyfriend who degraded her yet she and Cameron didn’t ever develop well for me either. Their attraction was instantaneous and then the longed and needed each other after just a couple times together where physical needs were met. The love story between Cam and Lilly lends itself to being passionate and intense. And I think it could have been. But the words they used to describe themselves shocked me in a way that the scenes became kind of funny. I’ve never heard a man refer to his penis as his “nature” or a woman’s vagina a “honey pot”. She refers to his junk at one point as a “blue-veined hammer”. The sex scenes just didn’t do it for me. In my opinion, if you’re writing romances just stick to the usual, more vulgar (by society standards) terms. The d-word, c-word(s), p-word all are so much more effective. There were times the characters stated events were going to happen before they happened and I got confused.
As I stated previously, the book has gotten plenty of good reviews and the plot is uniquely intriguing. I just couldn’t get into the writing.

Somethings in life are worth fighting for and that's exactly what this book is about. Fight for yourself and love. Beautiful Lies has a little bit of everything.... Cheating, cruelty, deception, corruption, with lust and love! Plus, it's sexy and funny. Cam and Lilly are two people with terrible pasts. Existing, yet not living, the only way they know how... by surviving!! When their lives become entwined, their chemistry pulls them together and their hearts finally feel alive. They risk everything they thought they wanted, just to be together. Also putting their lives in danger. They go to hell and back. I was on the edge of my seat.
I loved these two characters. Cam and Lilly are perfect for each other.
I loved watching their love bloom and I was rooting for them. Seeing their personal growth made me smile throughout. It's not just a love story. It is also about personal growth and letting go of your past. Knowing your self worth, loving yourself and becoming a better person. I was quickly addicted to this book and finished it in one day. It's a unique story. I highly recommend!!

WOW! Let's just say each time I pick up a book from Gina they just get better and better. Beautiful Lies was full of so much drama, spice and suspense. The characters and story line was phenomenal. Cam is every women's fantasy, Lilly you were on the fence about one minute, you loved her and the next you wanted to ring her neck. Then you have Sig who you just wanted to throat punch a few times. My favorite was most def Cam and I would love to keep him for myself however, I think he's too into Lilly for that to happen. The suspense leads to a big twist in the end that I think will catch most people off guard and thinking wth. I really enjoyed reading Beautiful Lies it's different from most Ive read this year. This book is hot and must read. I can't wait to see what Gina is working on next because it will no doubt be amazeballs!!

This story is not at all what I was thinking and the lies are not what you would expect. Lilly is a superstar model and everyone falls at her feet. Well except Cameron. He thinks that people like her should get over themselves. He is not impressed. Although he thinks she is beautiful, her attitude throws him off. But he can't stop thinking about her. While Lilly can't believe that Cam is not falling over himself to be in her presence, she finds herself thinking about him. But Lilly's life is not what it looks like, she is in hell and Sig is the devil. He is controlling and possessive and knows which buttons to push to get Lilly to behave. There is a lot of intrigue and suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat and I couldn't put my kindle down until I finished. So pick this one up and enjoy the ride that Gina Whitney will take you on. I loved it and you will too.

This is one of those books that everyone is loving and I just couldn't get into. It actually started out really promising, but then it lost something along the way. When I started I quickly realized this will probably be a sexy read, but not much on plot and I was okay with that because it seemed like these two would be scorching.
But when they finally got there, I felt like the author had a sex thesaurus sitting next to her to see how many different names she could use for the female anatomy. It just didn't feel like a natural flow. It was trying too hard to be clever and shocking and missed the mark for me.
Also, at times Lilly would say something and then in her head, say ha, I got him there, and I was like what? I didn't think she said anything earth shattering at all. I don't even get why she said what she did.
I do think this book rubbed me the wrong way and a lot of people probably will enjoy it, but I started skimming about half way through and barely made it to the end and it is a short book.

The client is some big time celebrity name Sig and let's just say he is such an asshole I wanted to go in the book to punch him or kill him myself. Then you have Lily Sig's long time girlfriend and she is not happy at all so she puts on a act in front of everyone and not being herself what so ever. She is one hot mess that is until she meets Cam and he makes her feel alive again. Once Sig finds out about it things change to the point you don't know if Cam and Lily will live or die. I loved everything about Beautiful Lies and even the twist that Gina put in there and let me tell you its a shocker you would not see coming cause I know I didn't at all. Thank you Gina for a amazing story!

OMG!!! A MUST READ
In Beautiful Lies by Gina Whitney we meet Lilly (model) and Cam (lawyer); both have pasts that haunt them in the present. As their lives entwined, you find yourself lost in their passion, lies and the need to be with each other at all costs.
This story takes you on a drive through danger, love and most of all suspense. You will wonder what will happen next as you turn the next page.
Ms. Whitney does fantastic job bringing both Lilly and Cam to life and keeping the story interesting and moving at the same time.
If you like suspense, erotic romance with a sexy Alpha male, then this book is for you. I would recommend this book wholeheartedly to anyone over 18 yrs of age.

Ms. Whitney does fantastic job bringing both Lilly and Cam to life and keeping the story interesting and moving at the same time.
If you like suspense, erotic romance with a sexy Alpha male, then this book is for you. I would recommend this book wholeheartedly to anyone over 18 yrs of age.

This book was amazing!!! If it's drama you seek then this is for you, It is hot and sexy, and the story is to die for.
I fell so in love with the main Characters Lily and Cam, you will love them and at times want to smack them around.
Two people trying to reach their goals, an attraction that can't be denied and obstacle's to over come.
Beautifully written keeps you wondering, what's going to happen next, a story line that does the book total justice, a can't put down read.
This is by far, one of the best book's I have read from this author.

I LOVED this book! The story flowed very smoothly and I loved the characters!
Cam Sterling wants nothing to do with women! Lilly Amsel is a beautiful broken woman! The day the two of them meet, sparks exploded! At first, it was about sex but then they can't stay away from each other. The big problem is Lilly is involved with a very dangerous and controlling man who finds out and that's when everything blows up in their faces!
Beautiful Lies was hot, steamy, spicy, emotionally charged, with action and suspense thrown in! I simply couldn't put the book down until I finished it! Even if this book isn't your normal genre to read, I recommend it to everyone! Can't wait to read more of Gina Whitney's work!

Let me just say wow! First off the story isn't choppy like some I've read lately, but flows nice and smooth. The story line was well thought out an delivered. The characters were very well developed, I could see the model escaping her past with lies, the handsome man who just wanted to climb to the top of the law firm, and then there is Sig. Wow, Gina knows how to make you hate a man before you know all the reasons for hating him as much as you do right out of the gate! Even just with the description of his appearance my skin crawled. And let me just say I was cringing when Cam was in the bloody brawl, you will understand when you read it! Great book, I definitely recommend if you like a good angst riddled steamy book!

I really enjoyed the story of Cam and Lilly. It was a well thought out story, with lots of twists and turns. I never expected the Z character to turn out to be who it did, and i have to say i was a little shocked. I found myself turning the pages like a crazy woman, and i could not put my kindle down. Well done Gina, an excellent storyline, plot and conclusion. I will definitely read more of your work xx

I LUV hot books with a little suspense! Cam was a hot ass attorney,falling for Lilly who was a hot model dating an asshole named Sig! I really wanted to hurt him! This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell was gonna happen next! Cam and Lilly are so hot together! Sig was not going to let Lilly happy with any other man but him! He was an abusive ,crazy ......anyway...LUV the suspense . Luved it Gina!

Wow, this was a great read. I could not put it down and needed more.
It moved along at a great pace, has fantastic characters and a great story. There is so much that I want to say, but I do not want to ruin it for others by giving away any spoilers.

I just love this book it's full of hot lust and so suspenseful. I could not put this book down I was so in to the story about Cam and Lilly that I was done in one day!!! This is so a must book to read and reread again!!!

Packed with action, twists, plots, heat and passion, this book is impossible to put down!! Well written with sexy characters (and some really disgusting ones too) the story is really hollywood movie worthy!!! I loved it!!! Thumbs up!!!

É um daqueles livros loucos. É meio sem pé nem cabeça e tem sérios problemas de continuidade.

O enredo é deficiente e mesmo os personagens são mal construídos, o que se salva é o Cam, que acaba sendo o mais consistente do livro, o que não é lá muita coisa, já que estou usando como parâmetro os outros personagens. Só pra ilustrar meu ponto, temos: uma modelos com dupla personalidade, um modelo bipolar, um advogado solitário, um albino , seguranças gigantes e um escritório de advocacia que mais me parece uma sede da máfia.
Lilly teve infância pobre e problemática que conseguiu virar modelo. Ela ascendeu socialmente ao namorar Sig, um grande nome da moda e muito mais velho. ~daddy issues detected~
Cam também teve infância traumática, mas curiosamente não tem sua história aprofundada, com exceção de algumas situações que são contadas.
Basicamente tudo gira em torno dos problemas da Lilly: como ela cresceu, como ela lida com isso, como é a vida dela, e ofusca demais o Cam, é como se ele fosse um personagem secundário. Além do mais eu acho o cúmulo do absurdo um personagem que clama ter 12 inches de envergadura(que corresponde a 30,48cm, e, sim, precisei converter o tamanho pra ter noção do tamanho da criança) deveria ter tido mais atenção da autora.
Já dando o desconto pelo fato de a autora ter querido fazer um "suspense erótico" (nem sei se existe isso, né, enfim), eu acho que ela se perdeu na construção dos vilões...eu ainda não sei porque ela se deu ao trabalho de inserir certos personagens na história se ela não tinha a intenção de desenvolvê-los.
Outra coisa esquisita é que ela não faz uma transição sutil de uma situação para a outra. Exemplo: Cam e Lilly se viram uma vez no elevador e meio que se estranharam, aí eles se encontram outra vez, nem conversam e não mais que de repente eles estão apaixonados...WTF? Achei que ela foi meio aleatória, faltou esforço.
Pelo menos as cenas de sexo são boas. Afinal, como o próprio Cam exclama: "I was thick and long as the tall pines that surrounded us"
A Lilly é uma sem noção...a ponto eu não saber se acho graça ou sinto pena dela. Sem falar que tem horas que tenho certeza que ela tem algum distúrbio mental, quando ela começa a dialogar consigo mesma, falando e discutindo com seu alter ego - a supermodelo que nunca foi pobre. Ah, não posse deixar de falar também nas coisas loucas que ela diz sobre si mesma, principalmente quando ela está excitada. Quotes aleatórios:
"my inner godess had killed my alter ego"
"my wine flowed out of my goblet"

It will leave you breathless.... longing for more and most of all in need of a happy ending for these two beautiful souls.

I really enjoyed this book. One thing that I really liked about this book is the fact that everything isn't always as it seems. It appears to all outsiders that Lilly has the perfect life. She's beautiful, has an extremely rich boyfriend that gives her everything she could ever want...except happiness.
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors and the things she has to endure to keep the image of perfection. No one knows the sadness that she has to battle every day. When she meets Cameron, she wants to throw that image to the wind and just be herself.
There is that instant lust connection and they just have to have each other. For each of them, once will never be enough. He shows her feelings and passion beyond her wildest dreams. She opened up his heart and showed him there is more than the career path you thought you always wanted. But there are secrets her boyfriend will do anything to protect...anything.
A good portion of the book was spent with them fighting their lust for each other and eventually their love, along with her boyfriend who was fighting to keep her for his image and business as well. I would love to read a novella on Lilly and Cameron's life once they found their way to one another. I'm glad they got their HEA but I would have loved to read more about their life once the drama was over.

I want to begin by saying that I have not had the pleasure of reading Gina's work before and NOW I am certainly a Fan Girl!
We are introduced to Cameron Sterling he is a handsome, career driven attorney who is making his way up the corporate ladder by being the stellar company man. He is well on his way to becoming partner and will work and play hard to get it. He seems to look down on people that have had everything handed to them. He is not looking for love or commitment in a relationship and is only in one for the physical need. He takes what he needs and moves on.
Then we have the lovely Lily Amsel. A beautiful woman with a successful modeling career. She appears to have her shit together and has the life everyone dreams of. It is safe to say that we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
These two broken , damaged individuals collide and it is kismet. The Sexual energy between them is amazing. Lily knows that she should steer clear of this cocky son of a bitch but she can't stop herself from wanting him. Cam soon realizes that Lily is so much more than she appears on the surface and her life is a sham. He soon decides that he needs to make her his at any cost even if it places them in danger.
This book had everything that I enjoy in a great story. We had suburb sexual chemistry, great flow of the plot, well developed interesting characters, danger, mystery , humor and one hell of a crazy ride!

I will admit two things right off the bat - one I am not a big erotica reader I've only read about ten books in this genre. Two I was so excited for this book to come out! Beautiful Lies is a great read! There is so much more to this story than I even imagined. Meeting Lilly and Cam the two main characters was such an exciting experience they have a connection that it was as if a fire had been set off through their entire being.The other characters are very full of life some of them you just want to choke others I chose to ignore out of dislike of their personality. I got so caught up in the story itself, it is so captivating and full of drama and twists that you almost forget that this is a romance. I did say almost because the romance scenes are HOT! I found myself blushing a few times over the intimacy these parts released. Gina Whitney has the erotic romance genre down to a science. Beautiful lies is very well written and at no point did I ever feel that it was boring nor did I feel the need to stop reading it. The characters were very believable and life like. Never have I felt as though I should hide what I was reading for fear of getting caught with my hand in the cookie jar so to say. Do not skip reading this book it is well worth the time and the cookies!

I will start by saying this amazing author is new to me, and by damn I am glad I one-clicked! Gina Whitney weaved an intricate storyline with sex, romance, sex, and plenty of "OMG" and "What?" moments.
Cameron and Lilly weren't your typical love at first sight, hell, Cameron thought Lilly was a typical social climbing gold digging woman when he first saw her... oh how the mighty fell!
When he realizes he is up against Sig, not for Lilly's heart, Sig never had that, but when he realizes the client he needs to schmooze for his law firm, is the one who is controlling Lilly, uh-oh what do you think happens? I can promise you, you won't guess it because Ms. Whitney tells a story like no other.
They are fated to be together, but can they get through the dangers that lie ahead of them? Oh, btw Sig is an evil b******!!! What seems like a no-win situation, quickly can change in the blink of an eye... BRAVO!
