Every bit as good as the first. I am already reading the third.
My free Smashwords edition downloaded with a couple of pages out of sequence at the beginning. There was a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of the first book, so I'll admit that I was worried about the continuation, and after only two or three pages I found a familiar transition which included the closure to 'Walls of Earth and Stone'.
