SOME FACTS ABOUT ME:

I'm a New Zealander from Auckland, with dual citizenship (NZ and Croatia). I've also lived in Kerikeri, Singapore and Papua New Guinea.

CAREER PATH: I started off as a Graphic Designer, then went to Auckland University, where I got a BA degree in Art History and Italian Studies and a post-graduate Honors degree in Art History. I worked in the Art History field, then became a full-time artist, doing commissions. I eventually lost all of my senses and gave it up to be a self-published writer, publishing my first book in 2011. Though, earlier in 2023 I returned to art, shelving being a writer since book pirates made it impossible to earn a living from my work, excessively pirating my books. They basically broke my spirit. However, a very nice reader spurred me on to try again, so I'm attempting to revive my writing career.

BAD HABITS: I'm a major procrastinator, I stay up way too late, and I get distracted far too easily unless it's doing something I love. My mind never stops racing, can't turn ADHD off.

SPORTS: As a teenager my favourite sports were karate, badminton, and running. I also did unarmed combat and played in a touch rugby team (my gym teacher made me do the last one!) As an adult, I've couched soccer and have completed two marathons, numerous half-marathons and one 30K run, though I stick to the gym now, hanging up my running shoes.

STATUS: Married to my high school sweetheart (which he hates me calling him). We have two kids.

****5 STROKE-TASTIC STARS****

I strangely enjoyed this episode, but in all honesty Page 28 sealed its 5 star fate. How do you ask?... Here's a clue---> "My eyes widened as he rolled on his back, his cock harder than a bedposts and just as thick".. I'm not going to say who or what happened, but I'll admit the scene made me moist.

Crap, I've told you nothing about the actually episode..... just goes to show where my head is at......pg 28.

In this episode we learn Frano (my poor baby) was in a coma for 3 or was it 4 days? is now suffering amnesia. He has no idea his world has fallen apart thanks to his treasonist douchebag of a brother Alberto....

Alberto has set the wheels in motion to be the head of the family, all in the name of obsession love NOT power. Yup, this sick moronic fucker betrayed his own family because he wants to fuck a member of his family over and over, LITERALLY! You see, Alberto is Jaggers COUSIN ......

..... btw, Alberto's plan is far from perfect as many are getting in his way, especially Mateo whom decides he wants to torment Alberto... Okay, more like fuck him, but I having a hard time wrapping my mind as to why...... Regardless, Mateo cracks me up so even though he's an evil brat, he get a thumbs up from me. Mateo..

Bianca and Honey are being forced to do things against their will, by whom other then the stupid bastard Alberto. Both women are in love with Jagger, causing one to be utterly distraught while the other makes plans turn the table on Alberto... Which now makes me like the bitch.. Will she succeed? Did I tell you everything you need to know about episode 4?... Guess, you'll have to read the espisode because I'm not telling you....
.... MUAH!

To sum these four episodes up: it's a complete and utter mess.
description

Episode #1: 4 stars

I actually liked the first episode. The first installment delivered what the blurb promised. Sort of. Although, there is a detail that needs to be corrected in the blurb: she did not fell in love with any of those men. She had coupe of orgasms, were still talking about how much she missed her husband and actually despised the men that kidnapped her. Neither her actions nor her words showed any other feelings than anger.

I got the impression that Jagger (the man that chose her to be kidnapped) was this ruthless, cold, dominant and I-don't-take-no-for-an-answer guy. He was the one that were suppose to be responsible for training her. He did seem very manipulative and over all just a very dark and disturbed character.

I liked how he was trying to manipulate her into submission. Well, I liked the idea behind his plan. Unfortunately, the execution was very sloppy. The ending was sooo dramatic and over exaggerated. Later on, after I read the second episode, the thing he did at the end of the first episode seemed completely pointless.

Episode #2: 2.8 stars

Here is where I started to wonder why the series are called My Master's Nightmare. I assume it's because Rita were suppose to be trained by Jagger. He suppose to be her Master. The problem was that he never became her Master. Jagger's character took a backseat in this episode. The man that I though will be this merciless man, with no regards for other people's feeling, turned out to be a complete wuss, who was being passed from one psycho to another. Rita's training never started, because Jagger's actions at the end of the first episode, triggered chains of evens that turned this story 180 degrees. And not for the better. Why was Rita still referring to him as her Master was beyond me.

In this episode she started to daydream about his cousin, the mastermind behind the whole operation, the one that ran the joint. Now it's him that will be training her. And here was the part where Rita was suppose to fall in love with the second man (I'm guessing). But all I got was "I hate him, I want to kill him, but I want his cock. I hate myself for it. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I do.".
The man has no redeeming qualities what so ever. She lusted after him, yes. I don't know why, but she did. But to have deeper feeling for him? Are you kidding me??? Other than giving her an orgasm, tell me, what other qualities he possessed, that were so likable, to make her fall in love with him? NONE!
Rita were suppose to be this badass FBI agent, who could read people like nobodies business, but got couple of orgasms and completely lost her mind???
Rita started to look more and more like a slut who would fall in love with anyone who will rub her in the right place.
He was a very attractive man, but to me no one could outdo Jagger's beauty - although Frano's attributes were extensive.
It made her look like a superficial slut.

There were still talk about her being badass FBI agent and how she is going to kill them all for what they did to her and her husband, but her actions spoke otherwise. It also made her look like a lousy agent.
Jagger at this point is pushed somewhere into the background.

Episode #3: 1 star

This episode was such a mess.
Rita didn't seem like a main character. Not only this episode wasn't about her, or about Jagger, or even Frano, It became about what the fucking padre wanted.
The people were being raped left and right. Men, women, didn't matter.
In the first and second episodes there were a lot of talk about them being a famiglia, and how they always have each other's backs, because, you know, they are famiglia. Suddenly Jagges is given to padre, to even the score, right the wrong, make it fair. And Frano, too, joins Jagger's sob fest.
Rita's role in this episode was very confusing to me. At this point she is just being held captive. Why? For the sake of it?
There was so much talk about rape! You raped me, no you raped me. No, I did not. Yes, you did. I think by this point everyone got raped, at least once, in this episode, Jagger, Rita, Frano, Jagger's brother, whatshisface blonde russian and Frano's wife. It gave me a headache.
There were couple of so called 'twists' (spare me!). I don't know what author was trying to do there, but to me, it just showed how easily manipulated and weak Rita was. So much for Rita being I'm-so-great-at-reading-people, I'm-such-a-badass-FBI-agent. And it got WORSE in the fourth episode!

Episode #4: 1 star

I didn't read this last episode because I was hoping things will get better. I simply read it because I already had all four episodes on my kindle.
This fourth episode was nothing, NOTHING, like what the blurb of the first one promised. Jagger was completely out of the picture. Actually, he was pretty much gone after the first. There was a scene where he got dragged in, but I stopped caring about him after the second episode. If you would ask me what this last episode was about, I couldn't tell you.
There was yet another 'twist'. And it was just stupid. SPOILERS AHEAD Frano wakes up from a fucking coma! The last episode ended with him being hit in the head with a gun (I think), suddenly he has amnesia and doesn't remember anything that happened: Jagger is still being raped, if not by one so by the other guy, Rita is not a slave anymore, now she will work as a prostitute in a brothel. Although she still talks about having a plan about getting a revenge and how she will make them all suffer, after Frano stops making her clit tingle that is, blah, blah, blah.
description
Oh, her dead husband is back. She finds out that he is not the person she thought he was, he is actually one of the famiglia. He married her only to get the information (?). He doesn't even like women!!! He keeps lusting after one of the secondary characters's cock!!!

So what I got from all these episodes was: Rita is a completely clueless, easily manipulated by anyone who has quarter of a brain, a lousy FBI agent (how did she even got the job???). First her husband pulled a huge one on her, then her boss, then another FBI agent fooled her, then Jagger, then Frano and pretty much everyone she encountered were just using her, lying to her, manipulating her like puppet masters. And not even once did she suspected that those people were full of shit! I'm-good-people-reader my ass! In the last two episodes all I've heard coming out of her mouth was "I can't believe he did that. OMG, he was involved, I was sold out. No, it can't be him. How could I've been so blind."

In this last episode Jagger was still trying to manipulate Bianca, his cousin's wife, the one that was raping him, wife. That one is a dumb as a tree, too. Don't even get me started on her. She comes up with this 'brilliant' plan, that goes to shit and you get even more over exaggerated nonsense.
Random sh*t just kept happening without going anywhere.
* * *
Imagine my shock when I found out that these series had an editor. I'm not going to say that he should be fired. I'm not!

I won't be reading anymore books neither written by this author nor touched by this editor.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
There went a day and a half that I'll never get back. So much for the forth episode being better.
Just bunch of WTF scenes, same as in the 2nd and 3rd episodes.

Review
"Poisoned" is the fourth book to be released for this series and I think it was more of a build up for the next book in the series, I found the beginning a bit lacking in action. It wasn't until the last 15-20% of the book that everything fell into place and the shit hit the fan. Yup....you guessed it - we are left with another major cliff-hanger - this time having to do with Alberto and Bianca.

I believe that Marita used this episode to spin more drama between the D'Angelo's, Donatelli's and The Black Russians. I'm assuming she is building and building up the tension so the climax (hopefully which is coming soon), will be a fan-fucking-tastic orgasm to beat all orgasms.

See, even though I raped this episode of 1 star (yeah I'm getting into the spirit of the book) ----- it was still such a winner in my book - Marita is doing something here that I'm not sure everyone is getting a handle on - she isn't just writing a book that we all read, then smile, write a review and move on....HELL NO!!

Marita is writing a series of episodes in which hours are spent between friends from all different spots on the globe discussing what might be coming next or who is going to end up together? Different scenarios are played out by acquaintances and friends in which yelling (well the best which can be done while typing), disagreeing and agreeing is shared between groups of us. We anticipate the next release, we try to guess who the stories are going to be about and we all agree to meet in about 2 weeks time to laugh, cry, vent, rant, rave, and any other emotion we feel during one of these episodes.

Even though these books are about rape, sex slaves, death, torture and other taboo items......we as a group are bonding together - we are growing friendships and love between each other even though we have never even met face to face.

Am I being too mushy right now? I just feel the love for Marita because I have to tell you that I had such a great time this afternoon with my besties discussing what the next episode has in store for us.

I love you Marita and my GR friends ---- blech...I'm gonna go puke now!! Hahahaa

Rita Kovak
Hahahaaa...Rita spent this episode knocked unconscious.

Frano D'Angelo
Frano still doesn't have his memory back and is still thinking the Donatelli's haven't even been to the D'Angelo's for dinner and some whipping. (No, not whip cream silly). He's being drugged by Alberto to keep Frano out of any business....but there is one time (at band camp) that Bianca walks in on Frano while he's stroking his "massive" dick and calling out Rita's name. So are the memories coming back?

Jagger D'Angelo
Jagger is still locked up in the whore house, healing from his wounds after the torture the Padre put him through. We have one instance where Alberto comes a calling and is hoping to make love...but his plan backfires. This just feeds Alberto's anger toward the Donatelli's.

Alberto D'Angelo
Alberto is in his glory as acting Don. He wants his Jagger - he wants Bianca as just a trophy for the outside world and he wants Matteo to leave him the fuck alone! He has major plans for running his family and bringing down the Donatelli's - but Alberto being Alberto (dumb fuck) this will never pass.

Padre Michael Donatelli
Must be visiting the Vatican during this episode.

Bianca
She loves loves loves Jagger and is willing to do anything for him and for his love returned to her. She's even willing to sacrifice her life in order to free him from the Donatelli's. Hmmmm? What plans does she have up her sleeve?

Matteo
He's the comic relief in this episode and will have you cracking up with the shit he says and does to Alberto. Even though Matteo is one sick fuck and is hated for what he did to Rita....he can still make the laughs come.

Thierry
Jagger's half brother and cohort in crime with Bianca. Poor boy has been through the ringer with Alberto and is scared shitless of him. Your heart will break for him!

Wrap Up
So there wasn't much sex in this book even though the scene with Frano stroking his cock had me creaming....it will all come to a head soon!!

I can’t wait…..I want the next episode now! I’m telling you….I had to be peeled off the floor before I could get back to work.

Seriously, pick up this book and begin the mind fucked journey of Dark Romance with a twist toward Thriller.

Alberto (above) is stringing his brother Frano (below) along.

Alberto is doing all of this so he can have his wicked...evil! way with his cousin Jagger, even though Jagger (below) hates him.

description

What Alberto is doing to Jagger is upsetting Bianca (below), who sets out to stop him once and forever, ever, ever, ever!

description

Bianca does this by getting Jagger's younger brother, Thierry (below...the boy looking like his older brother, but timid), to help her try to poison Alberto.

They set out to do this while the Donatelli are visiting, and whenever the Donatelli come to visit...the shit hits the fan.

Well... I guess it would be kind of difficult to keep up the amount of drama and toe-curling suspense that I had become accustom too. I guess I just wasn't really all that interested in Alberto or Bianca for that matter. Smart or not I don't think Alberto's true plan/intentions were gripping enough to carry an entire/half an episode. I also would never expect Bianca to be able to pull off the task that she had during this one. I also am kind of bored of all this talk about Jagger as if he is God's gift or something and being the motivation behind so many issues. I can't quite put my finger on what, but this one was just missing that extra thing that the other ones had. I still enjoyed it over all and am still very excited to see where this is all going. I really like the idea of episodes for that reason exactly. Just because I don't LOVE every single episode doesn't take away from the series/season itself!

★ ☆ ★ 5 BUCKING STARS! ★ ☆ ★

I'm firstly thanking Jesus that this episode was a lot more chilled because after the third episode I found myself squinting while reading the first opening chapter of this episode in-case all Hell was still breaking loose.

Luckily though, getting straight down to the craziness of this episode gives us mainly Bianca (rooted for you all episode, girly!) and Alberto (wish death upon you from the start, prick!).

Me first and last encounter with Alberto!

description

Even though the focus was on Bianca and Alberto, Frano was in and out of the episode but none of it was in his POV. He is suffering from amnesia after being hurt in the previous episode and can't remember any of the 'what the fuck' moments that happened in said previous episode. He has no idea that be was betrayed by Alberto and that he isn't the head of the family any more, he is being controlled and taking advantage of because of his current mind set and I felt bad for him because of it.

Alberto was using Franos 'condition' to his advantage and just piled lie upon lie on top of one another whenever Frano questioned him on something. It got to the point where I didn't know if whatever he was saying was real or a lie because he just fluently speaks bullshit 100% of the time. He even lies to himself about his 'love' for Jagger. He knows deep down his 'love' is nothing more than a sick obsession but he has said out loud so many times that he 'loves' Jagger that he has actually convinced himself of it. Just like when he tells himself that raping Jagger is nothing more than 'making love'. He makes me sick and had me rooting for Bianca even though her mind is just a warped as Alberto but less sickening.

The entire episode I was pumped and hoping her plan would go off without a hitch. I didn't agree that she included a certain person in on her 'kill the sick brute' mission but I overlooked it in hopes nothing bad would happen to the person but of course my dreams were shattered and nothing goes right at fucking all.

Women, as usual, are being forced and manipulated to do bad things without even realising it. Well, Bianca doesn't realise she was tricked into her mission by Jagger but poor Honey in this episode was physically beaten by Alberto, shock, into accepting a seduction that will benefit only really Alberto. It was all just infuriating and bloody brilliant at the same time.

The only thing that was a 'nice' surprise in this episode was Alberto be forced to do something he didn't want to by a character who was meant to be dead from the start! I don't like the character but he gets a high five from me for what he done with Alberto.

In your fucking face Alberto, it's not nice being forced to do something you don't want to. Is it, bitch?!?

Truly Dark & Disturbing!!

 photo image_zps74fefa8e.jpg

This was a completely frustrating episode!!
How is it possible that almost all of the mafia is gay??!!
Why is it that almost all the men and women are obsessed with Jagger??!!

"Everyone wants Jagger, so stand in the line." - Frano

Where the hell is the FBI?

I'm pissed off as hell that the one who should have died didn't!!!

In Poisoned we get to watch this all play out through the eyes of Bianca and Alberto. What a sick fuck he is.

But we learn far more about Rita than ever expected as well. Shit is hitting the fan in all directions and I am completely torn over what I want to have happen in this. I am torn over the Franco/Jagger/Rita connection and am not sure how we are expected to have to wait for more of this story to be told. I feel like I am going completely crazy.

This is a fascinating serial series. I did not know what to expect when I started it and even after getting this far, I still am completely at a loss.

I think out of the 4 episodes, this is my least favorite so far - no Rita, and barely any Jagger or Frano :( It was interesting to read from Alberto's point of view though. I guess also from Bianca's, but she doesn't really interest me. I think that Matteo must've been a really good actor to have fooled Rita so well, because he's such a jerk! I wanted to yell at Thierry to ball up already - he totally flubbed that up!

When I first started this episode, I wasn't too keen on reading it from Alberto's POV - considering how much I despise his character.

but as you get into it, so much about his character makes sense...NOT!

Truly the best of all was the hot as fuck "Frano I almost had a stroke bedroom scene"...

Now, let's get to the ending...Marita - WOW! completely floored me on that ending girl!!

Waiting impatiently for the next... :D

I gave the same review for the first until fifth book. (I just too overwhelmed with what had happened in simple 343 pages)

I have read until episode 5 which is quite surprising because I’m not into this genre but I really like a strong will woman and a powerful man which is Frano. I like him better than Jagger. One thing about this episode 1 is this is the most normal book you will read with no further complications in this season or series or whatever it is. This is the only normal book. The first book end in a very very surprising way but I like it, even for me, it’s quite fast. Yeap. Too fast.

The other 4 episode, you will have time that your head is screaming to you to stop reading because the characters of all the families are going to make you mad and I’m saying this truthfully.

Reading this series is actually disturbs my mind a lot since I want something normal. This book is far away from that. However, this book give you something new. The main female cast, Rita is FBI agent (which is not quite trus when you got to the fifth book) and that is something new in this genre. You always got weak or too strong woman without nothing that we could relate to make them so strong or they just being strong at the first 25% and then they just break because they can’t stand the gorgeous guy? I know, it’s ridiculous.

This series have toooooooo muchhhhhh of complications, too much secret. Stop at the first if you doesn’t want complications. This book is about reality, about the mafia, about the families, about the abused kid (which is becoming something that is necessary in this genre), about guy fighting over a guy, and so manyyyyy more. But the complications, the author might manipulate it way too much because when you read until fourth book, you will stop thinking this book is normal or those characters in the book doesn’t have any secret. You will start thinking that no one in this book doesn’t have past.

The more you read, the more you know it. I don’t know what I should feel toward this series to be honest. I don’t even know what I should feel while reading this, all I got is 3000 emotions flooding in me but I don’t even know what it is. I don’t know who I should recommend this series, all I know is, this book is going to be the most complicated book that I have read and the second place goes to The Vampire Diaries series. (TVD series doesn’t got too many things happened in one book) I just got overwhelmed with everything in this book and one more thing, so many people die that I don’t even care anymore.

You got first normal book, you got the upside down of mafia’s world in second book, you got the manipulation the stupid the dirty thinking of a man in third book, you got ‘how desperation drives people’ in fourth book and you got crazy in fifth book.

4 stars!

The story focused more on Bianca and Alberto. This novel consist of their POV's.

I Kinda felt bad that she got hurt, and almost died in the hands of Alberto because of her avenging or fighting for Jagger who she thought who loved her. When she saw how mad Alberto was, she realized that her love for Jagger was doomed from the very start. I hate it that there's no Rita or Frano interaction.

This is sick, insane and mind fucking, but me likey. I was even surprised i can't stop reading the series. I think each book will end like you wanting to know more. The characters were so different,so if you're not into intense and violence, avoid this.
