I'm new to serious macro photography, and this is the first book on the subject I've read, so it's difficult to give an authoritative review, but I nevertheless found it a useful introduction. It's only a slim volume, but seems to cover the basics of all you need to know, right up to image processing techniques like focus stacking. It's well laid out, nicely illustrated and left me wanting to get out and start experimenting with images of my own.
