Alexandre Lordkipanidze was born in 1988, in Tbilisi. In 2009 graduated from the faculty of acting at Shota Rustaveli Theater and Film University and received Bachelor’s degree. In 2011 was granted Master’s degree in script for television and film from the same university.

He has received several literature awards including the main prize in the literature contest “Alubloba” for young writers, the main prizes in 2011 and 2012 in “24-hour theatre festival”. In 2016 his play “The Island” won the contest “A play for the Rustaveli Theatre”. In 2018 Alexandre’s poetry book “The Reddish and the Blackish” won “Tsinandali Award”. In 2019 The collection of plays "Distoplays" won Georgia's most prestigious literary award "Saba".

Alexandre Lordkipanidze is one of the founders of an art-group “Pink Bus”. He is an author of four poetry books including: “Blue”, “Polly Pollack”, “Transparent” and “The Reddish and the Blackish”. Together with poetry Alexandre has written several screenplays for movies (including “Lost in Escapade” which was first shown at Cannes Festival) as well as theatre plays which were staged in Georgian theatres. He has published a book of his plays named “Distoplays”. His short stories were among the collection of 15 best short stories of Georgia in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Currently he is a screenwriter and a TV show host of one of the shows of Georgian Public
Broadcaster, named “The Bookshelf”.
