Here is a quick summary. Farrah has been in a relationship for four years with Khalil. However, Kahlil is nothing but a cheat and has lied, and now that they have gone through an ugly break up, Farrah feels alone. Trying to pick up the pieces of her life, Farrah turns to Mills, Khalil's friend. Mills is everything that Farrah wants, the only problem, his girlfriend of six years, Jade.

Ok, here is the thing, I am split in the middle with this story and I think for me, since reading Torn, I'm expecting my experience to be the same with each of Keisha's books and I understand it won't be. On one side, I really like the story, but on another side, some of the story could have been different for me as I didn't care for it.

First off, drama, drama and more drama. All these characters needed a prayer and a good smack up the back of their heads. With all the cheating and lying, I'm surprised anyone made it to the end, but of course, there was a cliff hanger. The story revolves around Farrah and Mills, although Farrah is going through a break up and Mills is in a troubled relationship. The story started out good for me, then my interest shifted a bit and then while reaching the climax of all the drama, it picked up for me again. Of course most of the decisions by the characters really upset me and I tried not to let that sway my feelings towards the book. The biggest one of all, was what Farrah did towards the end and the decision she made. Farrah's character was your typical good woman looking for a good man, but keeps getting a raw deal. Mills was a good guy and I think Jade did him wrong. However, he did disappoint me also with some of his choices. Jade, she was Satan's spawn and Khalil, he was Farrah's ex and a jerk. And although we read about him in the beginning, I didn't really read much about him after that. And of course with a cliff hanger, the head ache which is Jade, isn't over.

Overall, a likeable read, but from what I've read by Keisha Ervin, this isn't her best work.

I read this book in a few hours. Partly because it was only 218 pages, but mainly because I could not put it down. I have always enjoyed Keisha's books, I've read them all. And as much as I enjoyed "Reckless" I felt like it was rushed when written. This really could have been wrapped up in one book. Another 100 pages and we'd be done with these characters and their story. But because of the way it ended, I now can't wait to read the sequel. I really liked the love story theme of this novel, although it was riddled with conflict at every turn. I'm glad that Farrah learned to put herself first before the conclusion of the book, however I was sad she made the decision she did regarding her situation with Mills. And as much as I was rooting for Mills and Farrah, he really let me down. I sincerely hope Jade's situation is with Rock and not Mills because I so want her out of the story line between Mills and Farrah. But an overall great read! I'm looking forward to reading "Mindless Behavior" as soon as it's available.

I really like Keisha Ervin. I couldn't put this book down. I have read books of hers that were longer. So, I am curious as to why there needs to be a part two. But, I am sure the sequel won't disappoint.

This book had me all in my emotions. I was screaming in my head at these characters and wanted to throat punch the majority of them. The only character that had me calm throughout the whole story was London and her boo, but every one else showed their butt. However, as much as I wanted to throat punch all of them this story was so freaking good. I didn't agree with the abortion and then wanting to try again so soon, that made absolutely no sense to me. I wanted the bonds between Farrah and Mills to be unbreakable before any of that came up but Jade is a handful and I should have known she wasn't going out without a fight. I can't wait to read the next book. I do hope Farrah gets her HEA with whoever she ends up with because after everything she's been through she definitely deserves it.

This was a great read! Khalil and Jade were not to be trusted and Farrah and Mills were afraid to take that next step! Just when things were looking up trust and doubt entered the picture. I knew the ending would be a cliff hanger and I figured exactly what it was gonna be! A few errors with editing but a very good storyline. I wb reading the sequel!

Have you ever just been in a relationship, were you just so in love and faithful to that one guy, who just know since you're not going anywhere he can just lie, cheat and disregard your feelings?
You have, well this bring the book "Reckless" to mind.

This book takes place right here in St.Louis, Missouri and is based off a true story. It's about a young lady name Farrah who's in her early twenties and is involved with the ungrateful, disloyal, self-destructive, irresponsible alcoholic Khalil. He's so in love with his Ego that he can't even see the woman who will do anything to be with him, but the fast life he want to live up with the homies,hoes,drugs and clubs every night was a life that Farrah didn't want to live and hated that her man wanted to do so.

Me personally I used to be with a "Lame" like Khalil also but when you get attached it's hard to leave him alone. That's one thing I can say "You can't help who you fall in love with" Especially when you Love you Love Hard. That's something me and Farrah had in common. She wasn't going to let his bad habits stop her career as a celebrity stylist. But as hard as it was for her to walk away from him, Farrah finally decided to face the fact that Khalil will never change. With this struggle for her to come to grips with their broken relationship,Farrah finds herself turning to his homie Mills.


Now Mills was the totally opposite of Khalil, he was a Faithful man, who can get dirty in these streets and never let his hustle outside mess up his home. Mills is the type of guy that I will love to have standing next to me. I will love to claim him as my man because he'S well respected in the streets and he always put family first. So despite his feelings for Farrah, Mills wasn't trying to mess up what he thought was a happy home with Ms.Jade. Jade claim to be so in love with Mills because he was the only man who swept her off her feet and never had to work for anything she wanted. But once she felt like the spark was gone between the two instead of talking to her man like a woman should she went out in the world and tried to find someone who can full fill her needs. So by her voiding their lackluster relationship by sleeping with and NBA player Rock.

Rock wasn't the family type of man and was wasn't looking to settle down anytime soon because of his trust issues he had with the mother of his son who is his world. but Jade thought that she can change all of that.
That's what I hate about a women who think that she can just come in someone life that just wanted to have sex and get "cuffed". You cant wife or cuff no rat who been passed around. but she is kinda cold for being around in the industry and her man Mills not find out.
By this being said she's letting you know there is no loyal around these days. Not even if you can't trust the Man or Women who you " Sleep with Every Night"!! But i love the way this story works out who's going to be on the top of the world, or can they live the best of both worlds.

This reckless love triangle must come to an end. This is an Emotional, Scandalous roller coaster. Everyone wants happiness, But at what Cost? you may never know where this reckless rollercoaster take you. Who's on the top with their women? Who will drive himself crazy to "Death"

I think that the purpose for the author of writing this book was to prove that when you’re in a relationship to always be careful because even if your significant other says “I love you” or “you’re my one and only” you never know if they really do mean it or not. Little would you know that they could be cheating on you? Also, to prove that women are strong that they don’t need a man to be successful in life. The author does also show you what and how gold-diggers work by giving you female characters that do need a man because they’re lazy and don’t want to work, and they basically get everything they want with their looks. This book does have an impact on the audience because it makes you realize a lot first to not trust any man all the way and second to not trust any female! They will turn on you in a blink of an eye. This book will have a long lasting value on me, because now I know to always be careful and to always look out for myself because no one else will. Also to be careful with relationships once I get older.

The book is great! But, does have a lot of grammatical for example when London says “cum for me!” (Ervin 123). Instead it should say “come for me”. Also it has a lot of slang for example “you have fun wit’ yo’ homegirls” (Ervin 124). The story was captivating I finished it in two days because it was that captivating. I could relate to the main character Farrah because she’s a girl who won’t let anything bring her down and even with everything that she goes through she manages to still keep a smile on her face and keep it moving, she’s very similar to me in that aspect. This book was far from being boring; it kept my full attention at all times. I didn’t find any boring moments at all. It’s filled with so much drama and it does have its romantic moments.

I believe the greatest strength of this story was that the author knew how to keep the audience’s attention well at least mine. She knew the right things to say, and there wasn’t any boring moment in the book. I would say what the best part of the in book is that at the end she leaves all her audience hanging, like the story doesn’t end there. I loved the story, but the greatest weakness was the grammatical errors there was a lot of them. I would recommend this book to a friend, maybe like Karina I have recommended the book to her but she won’t listen maybe once she reads it she’ll learn her lesson.

Really well paced novel about love, lust, & commitment. Some people just can't distinguish the differences and this book gives us several prime examples. Jade just wants to be kept and the one she loves she is no longer in love with. Mills knows something is up with Jade but because she isn't honest with him he draws his own conclusions. The one he loves no longer is content so he seeks out a forbidden love. Khalil is Mills' friend who dogs and abandons the woman who loves him in spite of his indifference. Farrah loved Khalil but it wasn't enough for him. She denies her feelings for Mills for as long as she can. Lies and deceit cannot be ignored in the name of love. Each relationship needs healing before attempting to move forward. Every body knows this but nobody wants to believe it. The only problem I had with this novel was the dated material (music references which won't hold up thru time) & details to their clothing. Otherwise, recommend

This was a great book that I need to read the next one ASAP. Farrah was a ride or die chick that fell for the wrong man Khalil. Then she fell for Mills who seemed like prince charming. Insecurities and outside forces can mess up everything when other people get involved in one's relationship. This is a book I would recommend.

For starters the copy i had a few typos but wasn't that bad i still was able to enjoy the story. Towards the end i felt the book was a little rushed jus to get the story over with. Farrah went from having an abortion to getting engaged within seven pages. I don't think it should of been dragged on but maybe just a little in between.

Omg. Just when they thought everything was good, here comes Jade with the news that she's pregnant. I was sad that Farrah got the abortion, but I also understand her reasoning for it. Mills should've just told her the truth, because now he's gonna have ti keep making lies to cover up that he slept with Jade & may have gotten her pregnant.

This book was all over the place. I feel like all of the people involved were quite self involved and no one was honest with the other. This happens too often when people can't speak truth to themselves or others. There was a slight two sentence moral of the story toward the end of the book.

I really loved the book. The lingo was absolutely 'hood'. I don't know whether I liked Farrah or disliked her,but I guess I didn't hate her. All of the characters came to life for me and I could envision them all especially Jade. I can't wait for book 2.
