InBarbara Streisand: The Untold Story, you'll read about:
Her lonely childhood in Brooklyn, New York--the fatherless little girl who was tormented by her abusive stepfather
The unusual looks, extraordinary voice and incredible "chutzpah' that swept her from Broadway to Hollywood superstardom to $20 million concert triumphs
The lovers and mentors who have shaped her life and career...from her early marriage to Eliott Gould to her tempestuous love affairs with Jon Peters, Don Johnson, Ryan O'Neal
Her close friendships with Ray Stark, Andre Agassi...and President Clinton, who may prove to be the most important man in her life
.
This was my first Barbra Streisand biography and I was disappointed. The author relied way too much on quotes to pad her book. Not only that, but the pace seemed to be off. The author focused too much on some topics, but not enough on others. There are many more biographies about Barbra - skip this book you'll only be disappointed.
