Okay so let me just start off by saying that the reason this is a 2 star read for me instead of a 1 star is because the potential is there. It's obvious the author has an outline, a direction of where she wanted the story to go, but the execution of it wasn't very good. I feel like I should also mention that PNR is my absolute FAVORITE genre to read. I'm especially intrigued by stories of fallen angels, demons, and the whole battle of good vs. evil. So the problem isn't that I was reading something out of my comfort zone. I was immediately drawn to this book by the synopsis alone and couldn't wait to start reading, but as I mentioned above I was disappointed.

I had quite a few issues with this book making it extremely difficult to enjoy. I typically love books written in the third person, but I had a hard time getting into this one. Mostly because every other sentence started with "Lisa..." or "Her/She..." making it more like a sequence of events instead of a smoothly told story. I was really trying to overlook the awful third person narrative but it got to be too much and towards the middle it just became full blown chaotic and all over the place. It wasn't flowing much to begin with but it completely went off track by the middle to end. The end of the book had me even more frustrated. It's a retelling of all the "action" that took place in the middle. Everything you've already read is recapped. Whereas most authors would just say that the character told another what happened, in this one the reader gets told AGAIN what happened.

I'm sure that Ms. Morgan was going for a suspenseful intriguing read here but everything is spelled out for you, you're not allowed to draw your own conclusions based on a suspenseful buildup, you're just given the info and key details are revealed matter of factly. I'm not asking for a cryptic story line or anything too complicated, I just want to be surprised, shocked, awed, etc. by all the big revelations. That didn't happen here. And as the action picked up it just got to be too chaotic and confusing. There's no smooth transition between scenes, it's rough and rushed and just cuts from one scene to the next. The characters weren't believable at all and need way more developing. Their interactions with each other and everything that occurs between them is just plain awkward and forced.

I'm not trying to be harsh with my review, I'm just stating the facts. I believe in giving HONEST feedback on everything I read. Whether I like a book or not I'm going to let you know. I did read this book in its entirety and really can't recommend it. I'm not even interested in reading the next book, even with all the unanswered questions in the air.

I devoured this book in one evening, it was really good, the author didn't give lots away, little hints here and there but kept you wondering were it was going to go.

Lisa gets her dream job working a for a rather tasty looking boss, her career then takes off as she excells in her work.

When she starts having strange turns she wonders what's happening. Enter Alex some eye candy with a scrummy personality. I loved there relationship, they have a lighthearted way of being together, but of course life doesn't run that smooth and we eventually get to the truth and then the story really picks up pace and you get an adventure.

There was something different about this book than most PNR books, I can't put my finger on it, maybe it's because things developed at a slower pace and drew you in, maybe it was the storyline I'm not sure but I know I really enjoyed this book and am awarding it 4.5 vampy and racey stars.

I've also heard that there's to be a book 2, well that's on my wishlist already.

I was given this ARC by the author, for an honest review and so I shall deliver.

The Review:

“Description begins in the writer’s imagination, but should finish in the reader’s.” ― Stephen King, On Writing.

The above quote sums up the main issue I had with this book. It had WAY too much description. Painting a picture is great, but when nothing...and I mean NOTHING is left to my imagination, it upsets me. Why? Because it's unneeded and unwanted filler. Part of the excitement I get from reading books is being able to paint my own picture. An author's job is to set a scene, yes, but don't go into unnecessary details. It's distracting and borderline insulting to the reader. We ARE capable of using our own imaginations.

Turning on the ignition, the car purrs to life, the LED lights illuminating the tan leather dashboard; the GPS map coming to life, providing the location of where the car is currently sitting; and music begins to play, Lisa nodding her head along to the beat. After pulling on their seatbelts, Lisa puts the car into drive and pulls out of the garage, onto the open road for their night on the town. The buildings in downtown Manhattan are lit up, the lights glowing in the evening shade. Building after building is lined with florescent-colored lights that illuminate the area. People are walking on the sidewalks, cars attempting to drive down the busy street.

Yes this is one paragraph, yes the sentences run together. This has been copied and pasted directly from the book without any alterations.

The above paragraph is the prime example of the issue I have with the entire book.

* Over description - This entire paragraph could have been summed up in this one sentence: "Lisa started her car and pulled onto the busy, illuminated Manhattan street."
* Repetition of same word or same meaning - Lights, illuminate, glow, etc.

Now that my little pet peeves are out of the way, I’ll get down to my other issues.

Lisa is a very intelligent, success driven woman. I really admire that about her. However she loses that intelligence when she signs away her soul, via a job offer, because she only skimmed over the contract. From the time I could sign my name, my mother told me to ALWAYS read something before signing it, especially the fine print. I can't believe someone at her success level could be so stupid. But I guess it's possible.

5 years later, Lisa begins to see red eyes in shadows, a man with red eyes in the mirror, blood running from faucets, etc. She shakes this off as imagination or lack of sleep. Umm....I'd be calling a damn Psychiatrist or an exorcist. Who ignores that scary shit!? That's right...Lisa does.

Now the male characters. Samuel(aka bad guy) he's Lisa's dark, mysterious and sexy boss. Let's just say he has special gifts that Lisa has a tough time resisting. I can't say I really blame her. He sounds yummy. All the way from his sexy chiseled body, down to his "brilliant red tie. The tie has black lines, in sporadic patterns, scattered throughout."

Alex(aka Selaphiel, aka the good guy) is sexy and sweet. The kissing scenes between the two are pretty steamy. I loved him. UNTIL...this part:

Selaphiel, the [spoiler removed], stands over Lisa and looks down upon her body. As much as he would like to admit his feelings for her, he cannot. The love he feels for her, the love he’s always felt for her, is much like the love a father would feel for his child.

Umm....what?

The Good Points:

The Ending: It was sweet but predictable.
Hell: The descriptions were dark, disturbing and imaginative.
The "Fall": Dark, disturbing and very imaginative.

My Final Thoughts:

I’ve seen a few 4 and 5 stars for this book, so there is a good chance I’ve allowed my pet peeves to overshadow the story. I don’t know.

What I DO know is, I was asked for MY HONEST opinion by the Author...and I have given that.

There is a quote that goes around the internet and it’s accredited to MANY people, so I don’t know who exactly said it, but it is soooo true!

“In a sense, one can never read the book that the author originally wrote, and one can never read the same book twice.”

I don't normally like supernatural books but I enjoyed this one.
Lisa starts working for the very sexy Samuel and over the years her career takes off. Her friendship with Samuel grows but never takes in any sexual contact until now. The flirting picks up, but nothing major.
After bumping into her sexy new guy next door Alex, Lisa forms a strong relationship with him which quickly turns into something more, but little does she know that there is more to the 2 very hot guys in her life. I thought Alex was super sweets & sexy at the same time. Due to his way of life he truly loved Lisa & is totally devoted to her.
He risked his life for her, I'm looking forward to the next book to see where their lives go next!

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 angelic stars!

This is the first book in the Chronicles of the Fallen series.

And it is Alex and Lisa's story.

Lisa wants it all.. The perfect everything. Life, job, and boyfriend. When she gets an opportunity to have the perfect job she jumps at it.
She is so ecstatic when she gets the job, and she works hard to get the job done. A few years later, she starts to have encounters that are weird she starts seeing things, and hearing things. She sees red eyes, and feels like she is being touched. She has nightmares. And that is just the beginning.

Her boss makes passes at her all the time and it is just getting to be a little weird.

Enters Alex he is a breath of fresh air. He is everything she could ever ask for in a guy, and he seems to want her. He makes her feels special and loved and she wants him like no other. But she still feels a pull to her boss, and one that she can't seem to fight.

What will happen if she gives in? Or should I say when she gives in?
Will everything she has been working for become worthless? Will she find out too late just what she is fighting? And where does that leave Alex? Will he be able to save her in time? And if he does will he tell her the secret that he has been keeping from her?

I loved this book! I love books about Angels. Julie had me captivated from the first paragraph that I read. Lisa was a beautiful but naive woman. She expects as much honesty as she gives and that is not the way life is sometimes. It is manipulated and twisted to the way the world wants it. If your not careful you can fall into someone else's trap. And that is what happened with Lisa, before she knows it she is too far gone to fix any of it.

I am only going to say that I love Alex, he does the ultimate sacrifice for her. Without even thinking about it. He just does it! NOT for one SECOND did he ever doubt what he was going to do. Just bam ! DONE!

To me that is the true meaning of the word LOVE. Julie spun this story so well and left me wanting more. And there is a slight cliff hanger at the end but it is nothing that you can't get over.

It will leave you breathless, and in awe of a love that was meant to be. A beautifully written story about forbidden love, and true love, and evil !!

Just when you think you have it figured out. Watch out! You just might be surprised! Thank you Julie for an amazing story! Can't wait to read what you have up next for Lisa and Alex!! <3

Fallen, another amazing book!
The start, I thought it was plain but as I read and read more of it…..gah!!
I was wrong. This book is awesome..
At first it may be ok but when I came to the later chapters it was soooo FREAKIN’ AWESOME!!!
It came with a BOOM!

The characters, I love the characters..
Lisa, she’s determined to get what she really wants and
her personality is good (not whiny and boring). She’s easy to like and easy to
relate with (with all her determination she had to get what she
wanted and how to love a man with all her heart).
Samuel, a bad-ass and mysterious guy.
He will definitely rock your world with all his hotness and sexiness!! Gah
!! Alex on the other hand, also mysterious and have an aura that
will make you feel safe is also HOT!! Dang!! All of them (guys) are hot..

The story, it was really GREAT!! Loved it!!
From the start up to the last part, I’m hooked..
There are no boring parts and everything went really good (from the concept and to the flow of the story). The way the story went to its climax and the way it ended…
…FREAKIN’ AMAZING!!!! So LOVED it!!
I’m excited what will happen next to Lisa!

Ms. Julie really did a great job in making the story great, interesting and with a BOOM!!

Just finished reading Fallen and DAMN!!!! I am so excited to continue the journey. Julie's 1st book is definitely a start in the right direction. Lisa Adams is a woman looking for the perfect job, the perfect guy and the perfect life. She lands her dream job and meets the OH SO SEXY Samuel whom she is drawn too and is not sure if she can resist. Then in comes Alex also Super Sexy who she finds herself incredibly drawn too.
As the story evolves, I found myself wanting both Samuel and Alex (Very clever of you Julie hahaha). How they are described and developed is such an amazing contrast between the two of them.
The way the scenery is described is done so vividly I felt like I could picture it perfectly in my mind.
I am a Huge fan of reading Paranormal books and I am predominantly a Vampire and Werewolf lover however Julie has now opened my eyes to Angels and Demons and I am so happy she did!!
The twists and turns in this story makes it hard to put down and now I eagerly sit and wait for the next book as patiently as I can!

Thank You Julie Morgan I am now and always will be a huge fan!

For awhile there I wasn't sure if I was team Samuel or team Alex even after one of them went naughty I still couldn't make up my mind. Samuel that naughty little boy is so flirty, "bringing her hand to his lips, he kisses it softly, never breaking eye contact. "You don't look so bad yourself." He winks and leans in, whispering, "You look stunning. I can't keep my eyes off of you." Then there was Alex who at some parts were equally as naughty, "I want to be inside of you. I want to feel you around me." He grinds his hardened length against her." Then there was again Samuel, "you are mine tonight, Lisa." His voice floats through her mind, the veil still around the two of them. His voice echoes as he speaks. "Only I shall have you. No one else will see you. No one else will know you've returned home with me. It will only be you and me." So that may be been a tad bit freaky. Then there was Alex who can be such a tease at times, "I'm not sure if I like it when you laugh after sex Lisa." I suppose I was team Alex he was the sweeter one out of the two.

Getting back into the Paranormal genre has been nice. this was a great book to help me back.

This is a story about good vs evil for me. Lisa Adams is a very ambitious women that is willing to do whatever it takes to get her dream job in the music industry. But is the cost too high? What would you be willing to do for the one thing you have wanted for so many years?, work 80 hour weeks, forget having a family, raising kids, sell your soul to the Devil?

Lisa's new job includes a very sexy , hard to resist boss, Samuel. Lisa fights as much as she can, or is she? Why is she so willing to go down this road? It's like she doesn't have control over her desires. After starting her "perfect" job she starts having nightmares.
Alex is a new neighbor in Lisa's building that practically takes her breath. Is he what she needs to pull her from the dark?

This was a great book from Julie Morgan and am anxious to read both Redemption & Atonement!!!!!

I think there will always be a fascination between Angels and Demons, light and dark. Fallen is no exception and Julie introduces the in between, the grey area.

Lisa has unwittingly signed her soul over to an angel turned demon, Samuel. When he decides to collect on the contract, Alex steps in. Alex is her guardian angel who is charged with protecting her, but in doing so, he falls in love with her. A huge no no in the cosmic world.

I'm in love with this book and intend to start Redemption right away. Bravo, Julie! A brilliant book!

Story starts out with Lisa Adams being offered the job of a lifetime at a very high-end PR firm. Elite PR & Marketing. Although when she signed the dotted line at the bottom of her contract, she had no idea she'd be signing her soul away to one of the most lethal and seductive demons of the underworld.

Then we fast-forward 5 years to where Lisa has worked her way up the corporate ladder. She's beautiful, has a great home, and the perfect job. Just not the perfect love life, and this is where the plot thickens. Her boss, Samuel, starts making advances on her, makes her feel sexy and desirable, but at the same time, she doesn't want to go down this route for fear of jeopardizing her career. Also poor Lisa starts to think that she's somehow gone bat-shit crazy with the hallucinations she begins to have. Hooded men with eyes that glow red, faucets that empty out pools of blood instead of clear water.

Just Samuel, her boss, biding his time – messing with Lisa as he waits to take what's rightfully his, but then walks Alex into Lisa's life.

And Alex is a man that I believe all women want to have walk into their life. I adored his character, he's sweet, the perfect gentleman, and sexy. He's the positive that will void all of the negative right out of Lisa's life, AKA – Lisa's Guardian Angel, who's been in love with her since birth, but once she signed her soul away, he chose to join the human realm to protect her. To do whatever it takes to ensure she won't be taken away from him. I just felt so sorry for him every time he and Lisa would kiss, since with him being an Angel, his lips would burn from her touch, but then I was super glad the moment that changed! Ha-ha!

I enjoyed this story very much, the author had a lot of nice details and explained everything perfectly. I look forward to reading the second book (and more) in the series!! If you like stories with Angels/ Fallen Angels, you'll love it!

I especially loved the size she depicted Lucifer to be, that would be a sight to see for sure!

There are a lot of quotes / one-liners that I loved and chuckled from in this book! Here are a few.

Laid back is what Lisa enjoys, and laid back is exactly what Alex is...all wrapped up in a bow of sexy.
Yes, yes Alex is all wrapped up in a nice big shiny red bow of sexy! LOL

She wants to kiss him, she wants to embrace him, she wants her breathing to become difficult, she wants her heart to race out of control. – Looooooove that!

Looking at her, he sees the woman he's fallen in love with, the woman he fell from Heaven for, the woman he went to Hell to save. – Alex thinking about Lisa, swoooon!

It has been a long time since I've been able to read a paranormal romance.

My only critique about this book is that it was slightly over descriptive. Other than that, I was so caught up in the story I could not put it down! The suspense had me on the edge of my seat. I love how it started with Lisa seeing little things and then built up to a huge climax.

Samuel is Lisa's boss. He's a predatory Mr. Tall, Dark, Handsome and oozes sex appeal. Lisa can't help but notice the way he looks at her, his obvious desire all over his face. Lisa eagerly signed on to Samuel's company, her ambition to be the best of the best driving her to the top of her profession. At the event that is sure to launch Lisa right to the top where she's working hard to reach, Samuel makes his desires known and the two find themselves getting cozy. After Lisa excuses herself to the ladies room, the night takes a turn that Lisa can't even remember the next day.

Enter Alex. He's the exact opposite of Samuel. Where Samuel is dark, Alex is light. Where Samuel is the epitome of professional, Alex is laid back and easy going. He becomes an almost immediate staple in Lisa's life. She's drawn to him, but he's got secrets he's not ready to share, so they decide to take it slow.

Lisa has no idea that her soul is in danger, that her fate rests in a single choice. With Samuel constantly messing with her mind, does she even the ability to make willing choice?

Both have claimed her but only one can have her.

Samuel is determined to have what is his. Alex is determined to protect her at all costs.

Who will win in the end or will everyone lose?

If you're a fan of paranormal romance, you will definitely enjoy this debut novel by Julie Morgan. The suspense and thrill factor are all there. Dark, steamy, sexy, and suspenseful, I gave this book 4 stars!

**Note: I still can't get this book out of my head. I can't stop thinking about Samuel and Alex. I changed my rating to 5 stars!!!

3.5 stars - ARC received for honest review

I really enjoyed the premise of the story - demons, angels, who will she choose.

I liked Lisa - she seems to be a strong, steadfast woman. She is thriving in the career she loves, and everything is all going to plan. And for once she is not a whiney, complaining, procrastinating and weak, character

The first about 20% of the story felt a bit schizophrenic, jumping from character to character, and for a while there I felt a bit perplexed as to what was happening

But then things started to settle down and I became really engrossed in the story.

And the two "men" in Lisa's life. Her boss, Samuel, who has recently beome a lot more flirtatious with her, and has become a lot more suggestive with what he want with her. And her sexy neighbour, Alex, who drops into her life and changes her for the good.

Neither man is what they seem, and we get taken on a ride to discover who they are and what they want from Lisa. I was unsure if I wanted Lisa to be with Samuel or Alex (at least until we found out more about them). But in the end, Team Alex all the way.

Through their stories, we find out what people would be willing to give up for the one they love, and the consequences of the decisions they make.

Unfortunately for me, I felt that the last 10-15% if the book again lost the fluidity of the middle part of the book, and felt that we were rushed towards the conclusion of this story, only to find we'd been cliffhangered!!

Perhaps a little more time could have been spent to get our characters to where they were at the end, instead of everything being wrapped up as quickly as it was?

But this may be just me, and you will all have to read Fallen yourself and see what you think.

Fallen is a good debut novel from Ms Morgan, and I know that I will go ahead and read the next book when it comes out, to learn what happens to Lisa, Alex and the other players in this book.

Fallen (Chronicles of Fallen #1) by Julie Morgan

5 out of 5 stars

Would you take a plunge from Heaven to keep the one you love? Or would you dive into the depths of Hell to save them from an eternity in the fiery pits? Alex did both in order to have Lisa in his life.

Lisa has been working her dream job at a PR firm in New York and steadily climbing the corporate ladder over the years. Everything is going wonderfully until her boss begins hinting around at wanting some added benefits of his own and making moves toward achieving his goal. After a few unexplained events and some very disturbing occasions in which Lisa swore she was hallucinating, she meets Alex and is taken on a courtship like no other.

Alex is handsome, charming, fun, and incredibly sweet with his bright blue eyes and easy smile so it's no wonder that Lisa (and the reader) begins to fall for him quickly. What she doesn't realize is that Alex is not exactly what he seems and neither is her boss, Samuel. She has every reason to question life as she knows it.

Always trust your gut when it comes to first impressions and those sneaky feelings you get from time to time!! I absolutely LOVE the imagery that Morgan provided in Fallen. While reading Lisa and Alex's story, I strolled through Central Park, gazed upon Lady Liberty, and dined at a very unique Greek restaurant where the employees provide the entertainment while you enjoyed your meal. Third person stories usually don't hold my attention very well due to their limited insight but this one had me captivated from the first page. I'm a sucker for details and this one is definitely one of the best!!!!!!! And the smokin' hot seduction/attempts weren't too bad either!!!

*I recieved an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.*

Julie Morgan has a promising series on her hands. In the beginning I was "Team Samuel" (because who doesn't love a naughty bad-boy?) but as the book progressed and I was introduced to Alex (and all his charming, endearing qualities), I gladly changed teams and am now a proud member of "Team Alex!"

The beginning of the book was a little slow-paced for me. I wasn't really sure what to think about Samuel (besides the naughty, sexy, bad boy stuff) and I wasn't really sure where the book was going...BUT once Lisa met Alex, the book really picked up for me!

I'm a sucker for a great "Good vs Evil" book and this one definitely delivers! The world building is fantastic and the way the author describes the surroundings/events, helps you vividly picture everything. The plot took a few turns I wasn't expecting, which was a nice surprise (I hate when I'm not even 1/2 way through a book and can tell you everything that's GOING to happen).

I was pulling for Lisa, hoping she wouldn't allow herself to get further sucked into everything and found myself torn about what Alex should do. The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger but it didn't leave me ruing the day Morgan ever decided to write. It did, however, leave me wanting to read more and find out where the author will take the story and characters.

If you like a good Angels vs Demons, Good vs Evil type of book with a bit of sexy mixed in....this book is worth the read!

Lisa Adams seems to have it all. She's landed an awesome job with a hot boss. She's great at her job too and moves up through the ranks quickly! She doesn't know what she's signed up for though when she got the job. Her boss seems to be flirting with her more frequently too. She wants to keep it purely business. She doesn't want to screw up her career. Things seem to get a little foggy when he's around though. And there are other times when she thinks she sees things. And these things scare the crap out of her! Shes starting to believe shes losing her mind!

Alex just moved into her building and runs into her one morning in the mail room. Lisa thinks he's incredibly sexy. She strikes up a conversation with him and they end up spending the day together. Lisa thinks he's an amazing person and definitely wants to get to know him more. There seems to be some things that he's hiding.

But there is a turn of events. Things are set into motion that Lisa didn't know anything about and Alex ends up going to the ends of the earth to save her. He can't live without her and he knows that he has to bring her back.

This story was amazing and had me sucked in! When things took a turn for the worst I was crushed. And when things seemed to turn around for the good I cheered! Definitely a must read if you love paranormal romance that involves angels and demons!

Grade: B+ (Four Stars)

What a interesting paranormal romance! This book started out slow for me. Might be a personal thing, but it didn’t grab me right off the bat. I was pulled in once things got going and I’m completely glad for that! This is a fantastic book, and I am only on the four star, and teetering really close to five, because I like books to grab me right away. Personal preference. This a paranormal novel, it’s got a lot more going on under the surface. Yes, Lisa works at a PR firm, and she’s good at what she does, and her hott boss is hitting on her. We’ve seen that story, but what Morgan does differently in this book is introduce the supernatural elements. That’s what makes this book different then all the others! This is a battle of heaven and hell, and Lisa signed herself on to the wrong side. Alex, the wonderful sweet counterpart to the evil boss, is going to fight for Lisa no matter what it takes. This was a good story, once I got into it, it kept me reading, and I was engaged. I don’t usually read romances, unless they are paranormal, but this was pretty good. The sex scenes were quite steamy for those of you who look for that in a read, you will not be disappointed. Overall, this is a great read! Don’t miss this! Big things coming for Julie Morgan! :)

First off, let me say that I personally LOVE an author who isn’t afraid to push the envelope and take readers outside of their comfort zone. Couple that with a strong sense of sarcastic wit and humorous dialog. If you like a story that is outside of the box where it's naughty and witty, I highly recommend. It's totally unexpected and had me replaying the scenes in my head over and over. My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I would think about a scene and just started smiling or laughing out loud. I honestly could not put the book down. I just loved the author's writing style and imagination. The love that come off from Alex and Lisa is amazing. I was instantly intrigued and knew, just knew, that I was going to love every second of it. And loved it, I sure did But it wasn't just the story that had me, it was everything. Every detail, every character, the writing, the flow, the emotions---those emotions ate me up, and most importantly how sucked in and wrapped up in the story that I became. This is a story that has you guessing until the very last page. So needless to say, It ROCKED MY WORLD!

What would you be willing to sacrifice for the person you love? Would you pay the ultimate price for love?

Lisa Adams studied marketing at Princeton and now she has plans to make it to the top PR firm around. What price is she willing to pay to be the top? Her boss seems to be hitting on her and he is not easy to resist. The new man in her building is handsome and charming, but there’s something she just can’t put her finger on.

WOW, that’s really all I can say about this book, WOW!! I have honestly NEVER read a book quit like Fallen. I kept my on the edge of my seat trying to figure the story out. This book doesn’t fit in just one genre. It is loaded with suspense, horror, romance and erotica, it has EVERYTHING! I had my suspicions about the story line, but wasn’t quite sure if I was right but when my suspicions where confirmed the story got even better, OH MY. There were not a lot of sex scenes but what was there was HOT, steamy, fantasy inducing. I LOVED this book and cannot wait for the next one. I give Fallen 4.5 stars and 4 hands down the pants.

Great debut novel! This book does start a little slow giving you a lot of info all at once but picks up speed fairly quick..keeps you guessing.you really don't know who the bad guys are or how many they are.the characters are well thought out and the female lead is not whinny and boring.. She has a lot of spunk and works hard to get what she wants.
Lisa the female lead is great all are good qualitys are also her down fall.. You have to be careful what you wish for.. And sometimes things ppl say should be takin literally..she works her way up the latter and becomes a partner in her firm..
Samuel you can't quite get a fix on him..he is def. hot . He is the guy that hires Lisa to the firm in the beginning. Is he attracted to Lisa or is there something bigger happening?
Alex, hot, sweet, mysterious, Alex....yum...he shows up one day in Lisa's apartment mail room... Attraction at first sight.. Lisa and Alex start dating..but something's off..what could it be?

Will Lisa get everything she wants? Will it cost her everything?

Okay, so at the halfway point, I totally caught onto A LOT about this book, because I write about demons myself. My hat is off to Julie for her ability to create well rounded characters. In my opinion, it takes a special kind of writer to pull off humor and darkness in the same book. This is the story about Lisa, an ambitious young woman who will do -anything- to reach the top. But you know what they say, be careful what you wish for....

Her boss is Samuel, handsome and desirable; the whole nine yards. But there is more to him than people may realize, and I'm afraid Lisa might realize it a little too late.

And then we have Alex, the seemingly sweet, shy, and very kind neighbor. Alex is just the kind of man that every woman would want to have in her life. Charming, funny, and so hilarious. He's got that sense of humor a girl could just faint over. He, too. will be a piece of the puzzle that makes this such an amazing read. If you like demons and angels like I do, and especially if you've done your research, PLEASE pick up this book today. You will NOT regret it!

I was hooked after the first chapter and by the fifth I was hoping that this would be a series. I loved that I was just as confused as Lisa before things became clear. Such an amazing attention to detail and history you feel like you aren't just a reader but a third character in the story. Even though this was only a book I found myself actually shaking with fear and than crying with love. Any book that can make me feel such strong emotions deserves more than 5 stars. We learned what 'life' was like in Hell in this installment, I wonder if we'll get a glimpse of heaven in the next one? I'm still heartbroken over the sacrifice that her angel made for her. Besides loving her what does that really mean for him? He can't go back to heaven and hell doesn't want him, a hybrid. Of course every good series has a cliffhanger in the end that leaves you no choice but to go through the torture of waiting for the next book to find out what happens. So here I am twiddling my thumbs.

Actually 3.5 stars. I really liked the overall plot. It was a bit different than any other Angel/Demon book I have read so far and I loved the author's depiction of Hell and the demons in it! I would have liked some more back story on the major characters but Alex and Samuel were great and kept me wanting to read more. My biggest issue with the book was that there was way to much detail. There were points where I felt like I was reading a clothing description in a magazine and in other parts the characters every single movement was so overly described I found myself skimming ahead. That being said it got really interesting about half way through and we were left with one heck of an ending! I can only imagine the chaos to come in the next book. Overall I enjoyed the book and would definitely be interested in finding out what happens next.

I'll give this 2.5 stars because the premise of the story was good.

If you want to know what this character wears on a daily basis and how she puts on and takes off her clothes (Designer names dropped randomly)then this is the story for you. If you want to know Make, Model, Brand etc etc etc of everything see, done, worn, ridden in and eaten... then this is the book for you.

The men are hot, and like I stated, the premise/story is good.... if you take out all the fluff.

*I was given an ARC copy of this book, in return for an honest review*

As a lover of paranormal books, I am always intrigued to read stories of angels and demons. When I was asked to guest review this book for Feisty Girls Book Blog, I became excited to read Julie’s debut novel, Fallen.

The overall premise of book is a personal favorite of mine…GOOD vs. EVIL. When you throw in a HOT guardian angel and A HOT demon boss, it drew me in to the book even more, because I am totally a book smut slut (I OPENLY admit it!). GIVE ME HOT SEXY MEN ANYDAY… GOOD OR BAD…I LOVE THEM ALL! **fanning myself.

Although I enjoy reading details in a story, I felt in many parts Ms. Morgan was too descriptive on areas that were irrelevant to the storyline. To me, those extra details sometimes made me lose interest in the scene that I was currently reading.

Also while reading this book, I would one moment, be engulfed in the story, but then it would skip and jump entirely to another scene. It confused me enough to make me have to read the parts over, just to ensure that I didn’t miss anything relevant. In some areas, I felt the story was building very well, but then it would rush too quickly to the next part. I would have especially liked to have seen more of a love triangle between Samuel, Lisa, and Alex, rather than a planned seduction for her soul. I didn’t feel the story explained enough of why her soul was even at risk in the first place.

The book’s ending was extraordinarily written. I immensely enjoyed the self- sacrificing of the angel Alex to save Lisa’s soul from Samuel in the depths of Hell. The author makes you feel the emotion and love that Alex feels for Lisa when he choses to give up everything for the woman he loves.

Overall, I found this book to be a good read. I just found it sketchy and over detailed in parts. For a debut novel, I applaud Ms. Morgan of her writing in the challenging paranormal genre field. I will be very interested to see where the story goes from here in the sequel to this book. I rate this book a 3.75 stars.

The story was incredible - it mixed a steamy romance with a battle between good vs evil. I thought the story was well written and the characters were well developed. Lisa Adam was a great character and was believable - she was a hard worker and has her eye on being a success. And her reaction when she first meets Alex was hilarious and also realistic (but I would not have been graceful as she was and probably would have fallen on my face!).

It is hard for me to believe that this is Julie Morgan's first novel! She does a great job of writing scenes that made me jump and had my skin crawling. But I did find at times that the author over described things (for example - taking the dress off the hanger, stepping into the dress, zipping up the dress, etc) which at first made me want to stop reading. But a friend encouraged me to continue on, which I am glad I did. If it weren't for the over description at times I would have given this a higher rating. But I am looking forward to reading the next book (that cliffhanger of an ending makes me want to know what happens!!).

If you are a fan of paranormal romances mixed with action then you should definitely read this book!

This is the first Paranormal Romance I have read and reviewed. It was defiantly an eye opener to something that I never thought I would enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this book was. I have to admit as this is not something I have read before. I was slightly confused at a points in the story, being out of familiar territory, but with the help of the author, Julie Morgan, she explained what the Incubus was. It helped me have understanding what the demons in the story were doing and looking for.

The Characters in this story have solid foundations, are extremely interesting and intricate. Lisa does the ultimate mistake by signing something without first reading her agreement; she is gentle but is a huge go getter in the world of business. Alex, now where to start with Alex someone whom is supposed to be clinical, a protector, however you can never stop human emotion, he battles with his emotions and what they signify for him. He will fight for Lisa and give everything to save her but Samuel will not go down without a fight.

Fallen- by Julie Morgan.
I was given this book by my mother-in-law. She asked if I would like to read it. Her friends daughter wrote it. So I thought I would give it a shot. So if you like a book about sex, vivid sex between good and evil beings, you will like this book. Beware there are a lot of f-bombs. Fallen is about a fallen angel that is protecting Lisa. Lisa wants her life to be perfect in her job and personal life.

Who doesn’t right?

After making out with her tall, dark, and very sexy boss she starts to have bad dreams. She is starting to see thing that can’t possibly be real. Then one afternoon in the mailroom of her condos she meets the most beautiful man she has ever seen. He brings the light back into her life. He makes her feel happy again. She is in to this new man in her life but also can’t help thinking about her boss ether. She feels torn between the two now she must find her way. Have her soul claimed or claim the love she always wanted.
I have never read a book like this before. It was a new
experience for me. I did like the book. I also thought that Julie Morgan is a new writer and it shows a bit. I will enjoy to see how she grows.

This was given me to read for an honest review.

I have read paranormal romance before, so my views are not based on what I do not know, however, I did get a bit annoyed with sentences repeating themselves with the commencement of She or He. Getting over that bug bear, I enjoyed reading further.

Its a hate love, good verses evil kind of storyline.

It has a great potential for a fantastic series. I think Julie Morgan has a good way with words, however, I do think it would have been nice to leave the reading 'guessing' on some aspects instead of things being spelt out.

There were details in there too that really didn't add to the storyline. I think one other reviewer mentioned about the choosing of something to wear, too many details for my preference.

I'm giving this a 3 star, in my estimation, I liked this book and would recommend it to someone else, however, I would point out a few things with it.

This is not a review that is undermining the author as I say, its a great book, just needs some polishing.

Thank you for allowing me to read and give an honest opinion of my thoughts.
