"Frozen" journeys into theaters November 27, 2013, in Disney Digital 3D(TM) in select theaters.
From the studio behind 2010's "Tangled" and this year's "Wreck-It Ralph," Walt Disney Animation Studios presents "Frozen," the coolest comedy-adventure ever to hit the big screen. When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer, Sven, on an epic journey to find Anna's sister, the Snow Queen Elsa, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes, and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.

I was a little weirded out/confused when there was a 3-D picture (what appears to be a still from the movie) of Anna holding a torch in Elsa’s Ice Castle when she came to see her. Strange, as this did not occur in the film.
The book has a few oddly worded sentences as well that made me laugh. Such as: “Despite being the youngest, Anna is very brave and will do anything to help friends and family.” Which makes it sound like those traits and qualities are ones very uncommonly found in younger siblings. And a picture of the Duke of Weselton has an arrow pointing to his face and a caption that reads: “Mustache for hiding scheming smile.”
All in all this is a very cute guide for children or anyone fond of FROZEN.
This book was way too busy and all over the place for me. Now, I do have to throw in that I have never seen the movie, so I don't know if it is a characteristic of the movie or not. I found the book to be too discombobulated.
First of all I will be the first one to acknowledge that I am not nor will I ever be a fan of this particular film. The film was so flat and so unimpressive that I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that this film and its characters are considered a classic by modern film-watchers. And with such bias I came to the table to read this book.
And unfortunately this book does nothing to improve my tastes or thoughts about the film. Instead of being an actual guide to the film the book itself cannot make up its mind what it wants to do. At times it acts as a guide to young fans by devoting pages to characters, plot lines and other important aspects but the majority of the book is contributed into retelling the movie almost plot point to plot point. Then after doing whatever point it was trying to make it randomly skips off on a rabbit trail and/or repeats all the information also unstopping.
The illustrations for the most part were taken from the film but there are also the well-known 2-D type illustrations that Frozen books are known for in their portrayal of the characters.
Instead of picking this book up as a supplemental read I would just suggest getting the movie then watching it constantly over and over again until you have it impressed into your mind....
I was searching for books about Frozen 2 when I found this one and thinking OK, just read it anyway since it's also about Elsa and Anna....and I was impressed! First, I have to say the layout/art design in this book is truly brilliant, so does the writing! Maybe it's a little bit hard for kids to read but it's perfect for an adult to savor! Reading it makes me fall in love with Frozen more deeply for each page is filled with visual magic thoughtfully arranged and I love all the little notes, even the page numbers are so eyecatching! To sum up, I just couldn't put it down!
A quick guide to the characters, setting and story of Disney’s “Frozen.” There is nothing new here that is not part of the movie but it is sure to please fans.
This book was obviously written for children, so unfortunately, it doesn't have the same level of detail that typical "Making of" or "Behind the Scenes" movie books normally have. To my knowledge, the only Frozen movie book that would be at that level is "The Art of Frozen" which I haven't been able to get my hands on yet. It reminded me a bit of DK's Star Wars Visual Guides ... I'm keeping an eye out for this title in clearance or bargain bins, but considering how popular the movie is (even a year later), if I do want to add it to my library, I'll probably have to buy it for regular price.
These Disney books- while loved by kids are never a quick story. I got to read it in its entirety to my kindergarten daughter by default because it is saturated with details and big words she can't quite handle yet. So if you are going to get corralled into rehashing the nitty gritty deets of this Disney movie ( or any of the others) be prepared to either find a way to shortcut or dedicate a hefty portion of your day to this one.
the disney frozen essential guides is the one to guide you or me to show your manners example:loving your sisters or brothers ,mother and father, don't bully anyone like elsa bullying a "monster" and that is a guide do you learn about me. -andre_frozen
This has everything you need to know about the film Frozen. It has character profiles and has information on the locations of the film, it also includes the film short Frozen Fever which is a nice extra. Every Frozen fan should have this. Obviously this is intended for children so it isn't detailed with behind the scenes extras but it is a fun read for Frozen fans.
When you think Essential Guide, you think of like interesting facts and good new information. It honestly read like a golden book. If anything the page layout was distracting and cluttered with useless information.
I'd absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loved the movie Frozen! It's full of pictures and short clips about each of the main characters we meet during the course of the movie.
My daughter loved this book. She is like some kids Frozen crazy. She loved all the information it had. I was not too into it but for a child it would be good.
