I was excited to start this one. I love jerky heroes, but Tristan was too much. This relationship felt like it was based on sex. The heroine had a crush on the hero since grade school. The hero got really drunk, thought she was ugly and other not-so-nice things, but had sex with her anyway. She just gave up her virginity to a guy that called her "Turkey". The heroine had not self respect. With a smile and a wink, she would give it up to him even after he would be hurtful.
You may love it. I love a**hole heroes, but the heroine has to have some self respect or the story does not work for me. Reading is subjective. You may love it.

Not too great
I would not recommend this book. It lacks any depth, character development, and the writing is that of 15 year old's diary. They are teens but also have traumatic pasts(kindergarden). Riiigght. It's just all over the place. When it comes to the guy's POV, it's clearly a woman with low self esteem writing what she would fantasize about being the guys thoughts, responses, etc. I got through half before I called it quits.

Die Geschichte ist schon sehr versaut :D
Also ab und zu hat mich die Gossensprache sehr gestört. Ich hab noch nie in einem Buch so oft das Wort "Fuck/Fick" gelesen.
Tristan war aber trotz des dominanten Verhaltens und der großen Klappe irgendwie ganz süß.
Super fand ich aber Mia, die mal ganz aus der Reihe tanzt mit ihrer weiblichen Figur.

Great book
This book was unlike any I've read before. Tristan was the funniest jerk ever. Watching him change was good to see. I sincerely hope there is a follow up to this book because it ends abruptly. Definitely worth reading.

Tengo solo dos incógnitas respecto a esta lectura:
1. Cómo es que esta valuado con casi 4 estrellas en goodreads?
2. Cómo hice para terminarlo?
De los peores libros que he leído, un protagonista machista que trata muy mal a las mujeres y personas, en general. Una protagonista que se pasa enamorada toda su vida del chico que le hace bullying solo porque es lindo... :/
Escenas que bien podrían decirse que son abusos sexuales o maltratos sexuales.
En fin, es como retroceder varios años en cuanto a los valores por los cuales se pelean en la actualidad.
¿Erótico? Bien.
¿Esto? No, gracias.

Una patata de libro, prometía mucho el principio pero conforme iba a avanzando se me revolvían las tripas con la pánfila de la protagonista, como narices (por no decir cojones) aguanta que le hagan lo de las fotos y babear así por él y por algo menos grave va y se enfada y no le habla??
Si quieres leer la historia de una panfila supuestamente gorda que se deja utilizar y humillar, leelo, si no, no pierdas el tiempo

It is not often that I dislike a character as much as I disliked Tristan. I hoped that there would be some redemption somewhere but alas no. In the end it was really not my cup of tea.

Tristan and Mia
SPOILER ALERT: I started the first few chapters not liking the story. It reminded me of another story about bullying. However, its told from Tristan and Mia's POV, which lets you into their thoughts. I realized I went into reading this with a negative opinion because I despise bullying in any form so my feelings transferred to the story. Tristan's bullyish behavior is shameful and Mia's timid and submissive personality is at times cringe-worthy, but lets face it, there are people out there who are exactly like her. But what's appalling are bystanders who laugh and do nothing. Mia falls for one of her tormentors and he finally sees beyond her physical "deficiencies" (stupid society).
I would definitely read the next book.

It takes a while
This book had me frustrated from the beginning.
Tristan is not nice.
But I persevered and I'm glad that I did.
All is not as it seems with Tristan. You get to know why he is the way he is.
As for Mia, we all recognise her in ourselves . The shy down trodden girl.
This book is hard to take in some p!aces but people can be mean. Always look beneath the cover before you judge.

I'm the Best Jerk You'll Ever Meet...

Okay so maybe some people would consider me to be a conceited jerk however I see myself as a confident young man with specific taste who has the attention span of a gnat.
Once I've had a sample I'm ready to move on to the next waiting conquest and so on.
To me everything is about the total package and how you present yourself either you know how to work it or you don't.
Unfortunately that girl didn't have a clue she stood out and not in a good way.
I'm keeping an eye on those who have a horrendous habit of setting me up to publicly ridiculed.
Tristan Is the kind of guy; girls like me can only dream about but never have.
As it grows later people are drifting off in different directions some are having private little parties while others are tossing up what not to long ago were chugging down.
I can't believe what a big jerk Tristan's being towards me as he's wandering around like an idiot.
Finally I've decided I've had enough and I'm going home only I didn't get that far before I'm rescuing a fool from hurting himself.
Yet I couldn't help myself who wouldn't take a chance and maybe sneak a peak.
However he wasn't as out of it as I first thought and now I'm the one being surprised.
And here the guy of my dreams is leading me down the Primrose path to a whole new world of delights.
With the rising sun came the dreaded morning after and slowly but surely he was waking up.
Tristan was dumb founded as to why he was with her.
Okay he kind of sorta remembered but his poor wee mind was working on overload trying to figure out how to soothe his ego.
Then unfortunately he unleashed his wicked tongue on her with both barrels and word after word designed for one result.
Once I was home it wasn't long before my dear old dad let loose his own form of cruelty on me
And of course neither one of them wanted to hear what I had to say.
Why oh why did my best quality have to be the fact I'm academically better then all the other girls.
Because I'm facing a total nightmare and it wasn't just one of them oh no that would have been extremely way to easy.
All of a sudden there's talk about
a Q and A session.
Seriously I'm not even sure I can string syllables let alone words together.
I'm not sure why I'm not running away from him but at the moment he's actually acting like he's almost human.
Until like someone flipped a switch then the horrible nasty jerk was back.
Yeah everything I'm doing is supposed to be all fun and games at least that's what my older brothers tell me.
Today I was totally blindsided by their latest prank because unfortunately I'd played right into his hands.
I really should have known better but evidently my crush on that stupid jerk had totally overuled all common sense.
Yet that was nothing compared to the one-two that followed; so now I'm to sick for school.
I heard something and of course my little buddy heard it as well but I couldn't let him make anymore noise; or else someone would definitely pay.
You could have knocked me over with a feather when I looked out my window to see his eyes looking back at me.
I'm cursed that's it truly cursed; of all the dumb luck Mr. Big shot manages to kick start my four legged buddy.
There was a tell-tell sound and suddenly I'm in self preservation mode as I quickly hid my unexpected guest now I'm laying here hoping and praying.
I honestly can't explain why this jerk affects me the way he does and clearly I'm some kind of reckless fool because I'm letting him have his way.
Its pretty obviously my fellow classmates missed me so much because there now trying to make up for lost time.
Tonight was just another ordinary boring party with the same old people with tons of vices for us fools to pass the hours away.
Until I see her.
And no she most definitely isn't a figment of my over working imagination.
Mia's really here even though I'm split into I want her gone as much as I want her to stay.
But there is no denying the fact she drives me crazy.
It seems so unbelievably weird that not to long ago l was a total jerk and I didn't care who's feelings I trampled all over.
And for some reason she had always been my prime target.
Yet I know differently I still can't wrap my head around the fact she's so much more.
Parties that's what our lives revolved around here, there, and anywhere.
Yet I let things get way out of hand I never should have lost control or let my girl act like all those others but it happened.
She's even sitting over there blaming herself.
I'm completely at fault and I never saw the freaking brick wall until I was literally kissing it.
Faced with the cruel truth I realize there's only one thing I can do.

I would of given this 5 stars even with the cliffhanger which I see good things happening in the next book. Tristan was a real ass in the beginning I saw him change do Mai he stuck up for her in the gym in front of her father, I even get the not wanting to let people know if you're in high-school put yourself remember in that spot and if you were popular and you were dating somebody that wasn't in your group you didn't want your friends to know yeah it sounds cruel and mean but just think about it when you were in high school and how it would have went over and you have your reputation and so you don't know what to do you love that other person and yes you should like shout it out and let people know but but we don't, so the book was just showing us how it really is in those situations if you like it or not it's actually part of life that's a lie so I thought she did a lot by bringing out that and how they were hiding their relationship. The problems I had were how all they did was do nothing but sex that's all that they did Non-Stop and it was driving me crazy it was like okay okay I mean she didn't care to a lot of detail about it but that seems like that's all they ever did and when the church one happened that that's what that was it for me that's when I got really seriously in the Church of God discussing that that was it, and the only other thing I couldn't accept was he confide in her about his mother told her everything but she refused how anyting about her family and I thought he told you everything but you won't tell anything about your family so if you're in a relationship is 50-50 Mai. And when she was willing to do what she did in front of all those people to prove that they had a relationship that that was wrong that was disgusting. So what he did at the end of the book I'm totally on his side on that one cuz she isn't the person he met she totally turned into somebody else. And it was kindly mentioned throughout the book about her ass her big thighs her boobs her wait we're always talking about her weight do the whole book and stop it just it was like okay okay so I will read the second book I would like to see how it ends just not a super big fan I do enjoy the read it just some stuff was a little bit over-the-top sorry but I did enjoy it believe it or not

Tristian Wrangler was sexy and the girls threw themselves at him. The drinking, drugs and sex was all he knew. His favorite pass time was making fun of Mia or Turkey is what he called her. He was pushing me off making fun of her. Mia was humiliated and embarrassed by him constantly. She was obsessed with him. She always had a crush on him. While at a party Tristan was drunk and while going to the bathroom he bumped into Mia. He knocked her glasses in the lake and proceeded to hit on her. She couldn’t believe it. She had sex for the first time outside with Tristan who was not even sober. He said things she longed to here. Only thing he didn’t remember a thing. Mia was named student of the year and had to have her picture taken. She didn’t know Tristan was the one taking it. He talked her into taken sexy pictures which he used against her. Her father was called and she was yelled at by her father in front of everyone. Who comes to her aid Tristan. She was shocked but it just made matters worse. Something in him changed and wanted Mia more than every. He showed her how he felt in private but out in public he was not ready. The usual girls show no appeal to him. All he wanted and thought about was Mia. His brother’s girlfriend liked Mia and wanted to help. She gave her beauty tips and tried to make Tristan stop being an a**hole.Her plan was working until he went overboard in front of everyone. He left her because he thought he was bringing her down. Tristan thought she deserved better than him. Tristan was haunted by his demons. His past effected how he behaves know. The loss of his mother, the bullying by the kids at school all to much for him to handle. He shut down all long time ago and Mia brought out best in him which he doesn’t feel he is worthy of love. I can’t wait to read the next book. I didn’t think I would finish this book because Tristan was pissing me off bullying and making fun of Mia. The book title - The Unholy books of Tristan Wrangler ,itself expresses some sort of wrong done by someone so when I started reading it ,I was prepared for some content narrated for Tristan. The book cover and the book title are attractive and unique. It's suitable for the story inside it.
So the main characters of the story are Mia and Tristan. Mia is a sweet innocent girl who had crush on Tristan since her school days and now this obsession with Tristan has made her a submissive and his little puppet.
The way Tristan behaves with her breaks my heart and at a point I just felt that alot of girls out their may have experienced the same thing.
Later on when Tristan realises that he was just being a jerk to her ,he steps back. He backs off because he wants her to be happy and he knew he doesn't deserve her.
I felt bad while reading the first few chapters but i liked the ending where Mia brings the best out of Tristan when he realises few things.
According to me, It's an interesting read ,if you read it with full mind and heart opened.

The way Tristan behaves with her breaks my heart and at a point I just felt that alot of girls out their may have experienced the same thing.
Later on when Tristan realises that he was just being a jerk to her ,he steps back. He backs off because he wants her to be happy and he knew he doesn't deserve her.
I felt bad while reading the first few chapters but i liked the ending where Mia brings the best out of Tristan when he realises few things.
According to me, It's an interesting read ,if you read it with full mind and heart opened.

Surprisingly, great read
Have you ever read a book that made you anxious? Not necessarily in a bad way; in a way that you find yourself trying to speed read but needing to slow down so that you won’t miss anything. Well, that was this book for me. In the beginning, I began to think I was going to have to not read this book after all, but I’m glad I stuck with it. It was amazing to see Tristan and Mia both open up. They reminded me of a beautiful 🦋 coming out of their respective cocoon. In the end I wanted to be mad at Tristan, but I understood where he was coming from.
The only thing that kept me from giving it the five stars was you can’t tell if they were in high school or college because the author said that Tom and Phil was 3 & 4 years older than Tristan, and if that is the case, then they are pretty dumb. Overall, great read. Can’t wait to get to the next book.

I wish I had known going in that this was only the first in the series to be translated from German to English. It ends on a terrible cliffhanger, and after staying up well into the night to read I was quite disappointed. I really am torn, because I enjoyed the story, but also I didn't. There are some themes here, and language, and character actions that I just can't move past, but I found myself rooting for this couple. Tristan is an asshole, and he seems really stuck in figuring out how much of that is just a put on and how much is real. Mia has a great sense of humor for being so abused and bullied. I struggled with a number of scenes and the character reactions to them, but overall enjoyed the read. I'll be watching for the next one to come available to see where this goes!

Tristan and Mia's story with have you screaming at the pages! Tristan is the schools popular guy that every girl wants including the timid and shy Mia who he calls Turkey. Tristan bullies Mia but when one night at a party Triatain drunkenly sleeps with Mia she feels an even deeper connection hoping things between them would change. Sadly they dont in public but when in private Tristan is different she sees beyond his bully exteria to the boy he was before. Is there a future for the pair? Will Trisan show his true feelings for Mia in public like he does behind closed doors? This is well written with great character development and storly line has ypy hooked.

Dieses Buch hat mich auf jeden Fall sofort in seinen Bann gezogen. Der Schreibstil ist sehr flüssig, sodass man das Buch kaum aus der Hand legen möchte. Was mich jedoch gestört hat, war die teilweise sehr jugendliche Sprache sowie einige Ausdrücke, die ich als unangenehm empfand. Dadurch wurde oft deutlich, dass die Charaktere noch recht jung sind.
Der Love Interest hat sich für mich persönlich zu schnell gewandelt – plötzlich war der zuvor aufgebaute Hass wie weggeblasen. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere an sich fand ich gelungen, allerdings verlief sie meiner Meinung nach etwas zu überstürzt.
Gegen Ende entwickelte sich die Story für mich leider in eine sehr toxische Spirale, was mich definitiv vom Weiterlesen abhält.
Trotzdem handelt es sich insgesamt um eine gute Story.

Este es el primer libro de una saga de 7 libros, tengo que decir que esta saga no es para toda la gente ya que tiene escenas bastante explicitas de sexo, y algunas personas podrian sentirse un poco abrumadas con respecto a la relacion de Tristan y Mia.
A mi en lo personal creo que hubo muchas escenas de sexo que no venian ni al caso, pero aun asi el resto de la trama estuvo interesante. Aunque este no es mi libro favorito y creo que tuve que hacer de tripas corazon en algunas escenas y lenguage de los personajes, no soy una santurrona ni nada pero digamos que no es de mi agrado algunas cosas que pasaron aqui pero para gustos los colores. Aun asi seguire leyendo los demas a ver que tal estan. Hasta el momento tengo una relacion de Amor/odio con Tristan, con Mia me entran unas ganas de darle un zape para ver si se le quita lo arrastrada jajaja veremos que sale de eso.

Mia angel, de 18 años, gordita, avida usuaria de anteojos, de origen pobre, con el sobrenombre de Turquia, es la personificacion de un adolescente impopular.

Started off good
It started off very interesting. However, Mia became more and more a doormat. She was hurt by Tristan frequently and deeply but she was on her back looking at him with loving eyes in3 minutes.
The other issues I had were the jumping around, and not tying together well. Several aspects of the story played a major role in the beginning then ate dropped. Another key element was introduced later in book
With no hints of what was to come prior. In s mystery novel that’s good this just seemed to lack cohesiveness.

Die Grundgeschichte mochte ich sehr gerne, da sie Tiefe hat und Themen behandelt wie Mobbing, etc. Leider gab es aber auch sehr, wirklich sehr viel Spice darin und das wurde mir dann irgendwann zu viel. Ich werde die Geschichte sicher noch weiter lesen, denn geschrieben ist sie sehr gut, aber erstmal brauche ich eine kurze Pause davon. Was auch noch viele stören könnte ist das ständige, echt derbe Gefluche. Mich hat es nicht gestört, manches ist auch wirklich lustig geschrieben, so dass ich einige Male grinsen musste.

This has to be one of my favourite books this year. It has all the feels going on and is a definite page turner. I just love Tristan and Miami. Their struggles seemed real and their oh so hot scenes were just that.

La idea de este libro no era del todo mala. Sin embargo, Tristán es tan imbecil que ninguna mujer aguantaría su mierda. ¡La adoración de este tonto por parte de Mia es ridícula! Sin mencionar que TODO el libro habla sobre sexo. De Verdad? Los estudiantes de secundaria que lo hacen como conejos y que hacen poco más no es mi idea de entretenimiento.

This book is so different from what I have read from this author previously. It was more light-hearted but still dealt with a few heavy subjects. Some parts funny, some parts sad, a few made you want to kick someone. I would read this again.

I really wanted to like this book, not traditionally beautiful shy heroine + alpha hole = my jam. However, and I think it might be a translation issue, the book just did not flow in my opinion.
The writing made the book really hard for me to get through and I skimmed through a lot of it. Overall, I liked the idea and the concept, but the execution fell short for me...

It read like a 14 year old boy wrote this book. Every girl wanted the H. The H was gods gift to earth. Every female was a slut who just had to have the H. The h was so grateful that the H was even looking at her. This book was just stupid. The h had no self respect or common sense what so ever. Sexist garbage.

Fantastico- wer hätte gedacht, dass auch eine deutsche Schriftstellerin so heiße Bücher schreiben kann. Normal ist YA nicht so mein Genre, aber dieses Buch war großartig. Ganz klare Leseempfehlung

La relación entre un chico el cual su mente dice " todos los coños menos el de mi madre" y una paria social virgen pero no tan ingenua como parece. A mi me ha gustado mucho y con ganas de leer el sugundo.
