Diva meets warthog...

Aspiring starlet Vivien Leigh Reid’s professional reputation is in tatters, thanks to her previous diva behavior in front of the cameras. But this time she’s determined not to blow it, even if it means wearing a hideous costume in an otherwise sexy action-adventure series, Freak Force. Her first task is to find a way to charm an all-male cast who aren’t exactly thrilled to be working with her. Her second one is to avoid injuring them while doing her own stunts.

Not exactly love at first sight...

Julian Gerrard is Leigh’s hot co-star in the popular TV series. He’s no happier than the rest of his cast-mates to have a girl added to the all male crew of super humanoid mutant characters. Especially a girl like Leigh, with her reputation as an out-of-control diva. Even if her mother, Annika Anderson, is engaged to the producer of Freak Force. Maybe Leigh doesn’t deserve her diva reputation. Then again, maybe she does...

Double divas, double trouble...

To add to the pressure of keeping her inner diva under control, Leigh’s helping her mother, a movie-star-diva-turned-Bridezilla, plan a wedding, while fending off a pair of wicked step-sisters-to-be. As Leigh’s romance with Julian heats up, Annika’s meltdown spells impending disaster. But never underestimate the power of two divas working together when their hearts are set on happily-ever-after!

When I'm not writing books with Sandy, I can usually be found on a film set, where life is anything but dull. I've hung off the side of Toronto's CN tower, faced down a Grizzly bear, danced with Gregory Hines, and shared a beer with Ireland's Lord Guinness.

In 2003, Panavision Canada recognized my camera skills with the coveted Woody Award. It's an honor. Really.

And to think I almost became a cop. Fortunately for the citizens of Toronto, I flunked the psychological profile. Then, there was my brief stint as a bank manager, but I don't want to dwell on that.

Better to dwell on the restaurant job where I met the man who became my husband. I was the bartender; he was the busboy. It's still a perfect match: I get to call the "shots" and he cleans up after me. More importantly, he cleans up after our schnauzer, whom we affectionately describe as a four-bagger (Note: Dog-owners, you know what I'm talking about here).

I am a tea granny and a home dècor magazine junkie. I play the piano, although I don't own one. I own two guitars, although I don't play them. I sing to my dog, wear fleece even in summer, and never miss an episode of Coronation Street.

I could go on, but my tea is cold. And let's face it, you probably stopped reading after I mentioned the Woody Award.

In this poignant novel about our favorite diva -- now in control -- there is lots of humor and romance.

Her mother is marrying a guy that Vivien would like if it wasn't for his daughters, who are awful to say the least. They are backstabbing, conniving little brats!

Jake (Vivien's mother's fiancé) got her a job on a new show that the critics said needed a female character. That would have been all right if Chaz, the director of Diamond Heights (the show she got fired from for being a diva) wasn't the director! He is, of course, rude to Vivien the whole time, and she knows that he only keeps her there because Jake owns the company producing the show. Being an actress doesn't sound so glamorous anymore, does it?

Not only is the director a jerk but the other male actors treat her horribly because she has never done stunts before. (The show is about people who were transformed into animals and they are trying to take down the mad scientist who made them this way. Totally an action show!)

I really liked this book because it is funny and lighthearted but also has a great plot. I think almost anyone could read this book and get something out of it!

New and Improved Vivien Leigh Reid: Back in LA for hte holidays, Leigh finds out shes going to be staying longer then expected. When the chance for a part in an action tv show comes up, she reluctantly takes it to prove she’s not a diva. This novel is full of great drama and a sweet romance that makes turning the page worthwhile. A

Just as good as the other one. I was really impressed with this, and I really hope there is another one in the series. I liked how she was in an all male show, but even though she was considered the 'weakest link', Leigh still shone threw. Plus, she got the guy!
