This is an interesting collection that contains the two seperate Dime Bag collections in one book. The stories themselves aren't bad and are often cut short or lack any real plot. That's what makes this collection so funny. You may end up reading a story that ends abruptly without warning.

Overall, some of the stories are quite funny while others just feel forced or lack anything at all. They just try too hard to be witty and with a collection like this it's important to keep your target audience entertained. Dime Bags just falls a little short of being good and becomes just mediocre at best.

I have grown to like short story collections because unlike a novel they show you what the writer is capapble of.
The problem here is that it shows us that Richard Buckinghard has the potential to be a good writer but Dime Bags seems like a bunch or ideas thrown together just to be funny. It just doesn't work all that well and by the end I was just skimming through hoping it would soon end.
