“Two hundred conscious people could change the evolution of the whole of humanity on earth.”
-Gurdjieff

A group of world-famous individuals, prominent in several different professions—science, art, teaching, diplomacy, business, and others--individually disappear under mysterious circumstances. Cheryl Weller, a young gossip columnist who had been following one of them, gradually comes to conclude that the disappearances are linked. She visits the home of one of missing professionals, an artist, and finds in a last, unfinished work--a nine-sided figure bristling with symbols--a clue that leads her to the deserts of New Mexico. She goes to the area to search for them, and stumbles on a spiritual community with a bold plan to promote world peace. The community is led by a charismatic yet shadowy Sufi from the middle East, Yaqub nafs-i-Maridiyya.

Meanwhile, the U.S. President has been informed of several sightings of what appears to be a UFO. The President eventually learns that the spaceship is a highly advanced form of technology carrying human beings who claim to be the original inhabitants of earth--and who have come to take back a portion of the U.S. They plan to land near Roswell, New Mexico, and demand to meet the President on the spacecraft there.

It gradually becomes apparent that the spaceship landing and the spiritual community are connected. The community of renowned world citizens has intentionally brought about a politically explosive and dangerous situation. Why? What is their ultimate goal?

This is a novel of adventure and intrigue that should be of particular interest to followers of Gurdjieff--mystic, teacher, explorer, author and still mystery.
