She's an elite spy, working for an agency so secret only three people know it exists. Trained by the best of the best, she has honed her body, her instincts, and her intellect to become the perfect weapon.
Before special operative Hammett became a mercenary, she executed the most difficult missions—and most dangerous people—for the government. When one sanction turns into half a dozen dead, the agency Hammett works for realizes she's gone rogue. And there's only one way to deal with rogues; eliminate them with extreme prejudice.
But this target has other ideas...

If you like your thrillers on the dark side, check out the Konrath Dark Thriller Collective, which includes the books The List, Origin, Afraid, Trapped, Endurance, Haunted House, Webcam, Disturb, What Happened To Lori, The Nine, Second Coming, and Close Your Eyes.
Joe also wrote the Stop A Murder mystery puzzle series, where you become the sleuth and solve brain teasers to try and catch a killer.
He also wrote the sci-fi trilogy, Timecaster, Timecaster Supersymmetry, and Timecaster Steampunk. Even if you don't think you like sci-fi, give them a try. They feature Joe's well-known characters from his other series, and are insane.
With Ann Voss Peterson he wrote the Codename: Chandler thrillers, including Flee, Spree, Three, Hit, Exposed, Naughty, Fix (with F. Paul Wilson), Rescue, and Free.
And, finally, he writes erotica under the pen name Melinda DuChamp, also with Ann Voss Peterson. Those books are probably too spicy for you, so only the brave and bold should seek them out.
Joe writes a lot. You should probably read everything.
I remember reading this series back in 2012 and 2013. Lost touch I guess. I ran across this novella on my list of download books for my Kindle. Yes, just as I remember, plenty of action (and sex). The main character this time was not Chandler, but Hammett. All these killer special operators are named after mystery/thriller writers: Clancy and Follett to name a few more. These women are tough, well-trained, smart, and they get the job done. Merciless for sure. All business! I will look around and see if I have any more undiscovered gems in my Kindle database.
This book starts out very differently than the others. It is hot and steamy. Then the book shifts and it's back to be action packed. I struggled with the clones. I know that it's a popular thought when following government/spy work. But I found myself feeling like it had already been done before. I wanted something unique.
You’d have a short story with very little plot progression. But this is a filler book, meant to move characters around the chessboard and that’s all it really does. But if you read the 1st three books you already know the outcome. So I’m not sure the purpose of this any longer.
Another prequel novella, I really enjoyed this story that sets up the main antagonist/conflict in the original three books. It was a very fast read, but I don't think anything was lacking.
A fast thrilling story introducing Hammett. Going rogue from Hydra she takes on pedophiles and runs into Heath who thinks she's Chandler (who Hammett doesn't know about) and eventually runs into her sisters sent to kill her (Clancy, Ludlam, Forsyth, & Follett) and recruits them to go against "The Instructor"
So, obviously, Hammett is not my favorite. I feel a loyalty to Chandler. Although, I respect Hammett's goals in this book. Well, in the beginning anyway.
So much action in this series. Sex too. I know that bothers some people but not this chica.
Alright, so no spoilers but in the middle I was screaming NOOOOOOOO. It's no secret that Hammett and Chandler are twins. So when someone recognizes Hammett as Chandler I was so mad.
I liked this. It gave me backstory into what happens before Flee, Spree, and Three.
This was a kindle free short story. I like the other series so thought I’d try it. In this novella, Hammett is a spec op who kind of goes rogue after a pedophile and his associates. In the process, things begin to get weird, like she’s seeing double, or triple... not bad, but nothing extraordinary. Has somewhat random sex scenes, Im not offended by sex in books, but they just seemed to get plopped in.
Third prequel novella in the Chandler series though the main character of the series is only mentioned briefly. And yet it works. Plenty of action and intrigue though the ending was totally predictable and obvious. I did enjoy listening to this one and glad to have a better narrator, Anne Johnstonbrown, than the previous Exposed.
