4 Stars! A beautiful heartwarming short by J.M. Madden, author of the Lost and Found series, is included in this anthology. Grafton Parks' story is not to be missed!
I haven’t read the entire anthology, but was honored that J.M. Madden gave me the opportunity to read and review Her Forever Hero, a short about Grafton "Grif" Parks who works for Lost and Found Investigative Service. He's on a security job protecting Kendall Herrington, when one night of passion puts them both in a position they'd never imagined they'd be in.
You're brought into the story after the fact, and to the point where Grif and Kendall realize the predicament they are in. Grif recognizes the signs that their night of passion brought them an unexpeceted gift, and Kendall is in denial. Being an honorable man, Grif wants to do the right thing and Kendall agrees to marry him. Though they've shared one night, they feel a spark, and know that something bigger is brewing. Kendall wants all of Grif and he has yet to share that piece of him that he's lost. When he finally takes off the long sleeve shirt that hides his stump, Kendall shows him no pity, only that she wants to love him...all of him and sets out to prove that to Grif!
I wish we could have gotten more of these two as they build a life together, but nonetheless it was a beautiful, touching short. Nobody writes wounded warriors like this author! It's always raw and real, she never sugar coats the reality of the situation. But, for all they've been through, her heroes always get a happily every after, which unfortunately is not always the case in real life.
I can't wait to see what she has in store for Chad, Duncan and the brave warriors that work at Lost and Found Investigative Services. Thanks J.M.!
This out today, 11/11, Veteran’s Day. It’s only $0.99 and you’re getting 6 short stories, by 6 amazing authors! I’m not sure about the other authors, but once again part of J.M. Madden’s proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project ! Worth every penny!

I have to say that I absolutely loved this box set. To me personally there is nothing sexier then a Man in Uniform and this anthology contains a lot of Men in Uniforms. I love all these authors and each of the stories were great reads in their own rights. I read the whole anthology which i will confess took me two days as I had to read in my free time. There is so much going on in this anthology I honestly believe there is something for everyone in it.
There is action, romance, steamy sex (which everyone loves), a love triangle, wounded warriors/ disabled veterans, hookups that lead to something more, and heartbreaks to happy ever afters. The stories in this anthology will make you feel so many different emotions and that is the essence of a great read. Even if you just buy it for one of the authors you will happy with your purchase, as it is only 0.99 cents which is a steal for these authors and their writing.
I received this from JM Madden in return for my honest opinion
I don't know where to begin. This bundle was fantastic. I was given an ARC by J.M. Madden, author of Her Forever Hero, for an honest review.
Having only read books by Melissa Schroeder and J.M. Madden I sort of knew what to expect and now have new authors to follow. The heat level of these books is over the top. Some a little more than others but they each have unbelievable heat, romance and adventure. Each novel is obviously about a soldier and his lady with a healthy side of military action. These men have passion through their veins for their country, fellow soldiers and women in their lives. I can really appreciate the effort each author took to do their research, including specific names of locations, rifles, uniforms, terms, etc.
I look forward to reading more books by all of these authors and hope you will too.
With the exception of story #3(Seal the Deal), I didn't finish this one. Too boring for me; the other 5 stories you get here are quite unique.
Adrenaline pumping. Engaging stories. Everything any woman who can appreciate a man in uniform would love to read. While they all have their own set take on the flavored spice, none of the 5 are lacking in how well they bring the heat as well as the heart to these stories. And in some cases, the funny too. I would recommend this 6 book edition. Though when I got it, it was only 0.99 :) I still think it would be worth the buy of more.

Infatuation by USA Today bestselling author Melissa Schroeder... To prove her love and save her man, she has to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Somehow I managed to miss this one from Melissa Schroeder and I'm glad I finally took the time to read it. A spin off from the amazing Harmless Series, Infatuation starts out with a wedding in Hawaii. Weddings are always great at bringing people together and this one is no different. Shannon finally tells Francis McKade (known as Kade) what she wants and he is more than happy to give it to her. After some amazing sex, he is immediately called away on a secret mission that changes his life forever. Kade was injured and carries some pretty big scars (internal and external) from a mission gone bad. He is also struggling with the fact that Shannon is his best friends sister. Shannon wants to help but also doesn't want to lose herself in a man who she isn't sure is able to love her like she deserves. I really enjoyed this couple. Kade being the big bad alpha man that he is trying to scare her away, but Shannon isn't playing that game. I liked what these two brought to the table. So often people forget about the men and women coming back from war (or special ops missions) as changed people. Kade was both breaking my heart and pissing me off with his behavior. I wanted nothing more than for him to realize how special Shannon is and never let her go. And that's what kept me reading this one late into the night. The BDSM elements helped as well. lol And we even get an epilogue which I always love. I like a nice bow around my story and this gave me that and so much more. I give it a 4 out of 5.
SEAL's Honor by award-winning author Elle James Two Navy SEALs jeopardize their lives and hearts in a battle-torn land when they vie for the love of one sexy Night Stalker helicopter pilot.
This is my first Elle James book and I thought it was OK. It didn't suck me and make me completely forget myself, which is the biggest reason I read. There was a lot of action in this story and I found myself skimming through more often than not. By the time the end came around I was getting more into it. I was happy with the ending but the book was just lacking something for me. I give it a 3 out of 5.
SEAL the Deal by national bestselling author Sharon Hamilton A SEAL's nightmare of a promise given at his sister's deathbed gives him the woman of his dreams.
Another first for me was Sharon Hamilton. This book had me crying pretty quickly. Nick's sister, Sophie, is dying of cancer and he is heartbroken that he can't help her. His sister's best friend, Devon, is going to help her sell her nursery before she passes. Sophie makes Nick and Devon promise to go on at least 5 dates before she passes away. They realize quickly they have some serious chemistry and fall into bed together. After a little bit of personality clashes they fall in love as well. The conflict here was more emotional rather than an outside force threatening to pull them apart. I didn't find myself completely lost in the story but it was a nice sweet story. I give it 3 out of 5 Licks.
Dangerous Liaison by national bestselling author Delilah Devlin A pampered travel agent escapes through the jungle with an undercover DEA agent when a drug lord mistakes her for a rival's daughter.
This one just didn't do it for me. One of my favorite things about reading is suspending reality and falling into the story. I couldn't do that with this one. I was reading this while waiting for my flight at the airport. This is usually a perfect place for me to get sucked into a book since I don't have any work or family distractions happening around me. I found myself looking around the gate rather than being sucked into the story. I'm not a giant fan of the couple falling into sex before they know anything at all about each other and have no outside connection whatsoever. I've read plenty of books that started out like this that I ultimately loved, but this one just didn't do it for me. There was action and defiantly external conflict right from the start but it just all felt forced. The sex between the two was hot but it wasn't enough to save the book for me. I give this one 2 out of 5 Licks.
Her Forever Hero by bestselling author JM Madden When the boss's pregnant, unwed daughter needs rescuing, disabled Marine Grafton Parks proves he's still a hero.
Ah the classic prego after one night in bed story. lol I love that Grafton has to tell Kendall that she is pregnant. I defiantly want to check out the rest of the books in this series. The idea of a security agency full of former military men that had been seriously injured. Grif might have gone a little overboard trying to convince her to marry him so quickly but they clicked so fast you can hardly blame him. There wasn't a lot of conflict in this one. There was a little but nothing huge that keeps you guessing or anything like that. But I really enjoyed seeing the progression of these two into a loving pair that couldn't stay away from each other. I really loved this book and I can't wait to read more from this author. I give this one 5 out of 5 Licks.
Cinderella Liberty by NY Times & USA Today bestselling author Cat Johnson A weekend liberty leads to unexpected passion between a Marine and his best friend's sister, but he must survive seven months in Afghanistan to get back to her his.
Ah my lovely Cat Johnson. Cat always write military men that intrigue me. This book has the best friends sister trope too-two in one anthology. :) Crash's (John) best friend, Zippy-Danny, is determined to get Crash laid before they go on a 7 month deployment. Crash just wants to enjoy seeing New York before they go. The sexual pull between Crash and Trish is too big to deny. They find themselves falling into bed together before they know it. They don't have much time to connect before he's off to Afghanistan. Crash tells Zippy about his experience with his sister while they are under a serious attack at camp. I really enjoyed this book, but I wanted a lot more in the end. I am one of those people who loves a completely resolved ending and while this isn't necessarily a cliff hanger, it wasn't all I wanted. :) But I am a greedy reader. l really enjoyed this story and I really hope Cat writes more for me. I give this one 4 out of 5 Licks.
5 Fantastic Stars for J.M. Madden's "Her Forever Hero" a Lost & Found Novella
I completely loved this Novella! No one writes a "Wounded War Hero" like J.M. Madden!! I simply adore her for bringing forth the trials and turbulence of men attempting to return to a normal life after being wounded, sometimes severely while attempting a normal life and eventually finding love.
I read three of the books, one I skipped because I can't stand love triangles and it sounded too depressing. Infatuation was amazing, Dangerous Liaison was super hot, and Cinderella Liberty left me wanting more! Seal's Honor will be left unread, it sounds like way too much. The other two I will get to this week, but so far, awesome!
Infatuation by Melissa Schroeder, author's first read and read more yes.
SEAL’s Honor by Elle James, author's 2nd read and read more yes.
SEAL the Deal by Sharon Hamilton, author's 1st read. ABRUPT HALT IN HER STORY CONTRIBUTION found the story lacking but piqued my interest enough to read the full novel and now, read more maybe.
Dangerous Liaison by Delilah Devlin, Her Forever Hero by J.M. Madden and Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson. Three fabulous authors and read more yes, yes and yes.
Rating 4 stars (5 if Sharon Hamilton's story had been a complete contribution.
For me the best in the book was JM Madden's Her Forever Hero, which as part of the LNF series, offered some peeks at what's more to come, as the book spans about 15 months... Who is the lady Duncan brings to the wedding; who is this Calvert we learn very little about; and Ortiz gets yet more baggage in this book, which more than qualifies him for a story of his own... Please, JM!!! Grif and Kendall make a great couple, and we should see more of them with the newly established branch office of LNF in Vail. Thank you, JM, we are looking forward to many more heroes finding their match!
Each writer her story to share and none disappointed. Added to my to read list and will go back to reread some I already have.....I thank these ladies for their stories and our service members who inspire them.
I absolutely loved this anthology! My favorite story was Her Forever Hero. It's a 5 star read. I am a huge J.m. Madden fan and her Lost and Found series.
Ok this is the first time I am reviewing and Anthology so please bear with me if it seems a bit confusing. I will be giving my thoughts on each book… With that being said though... This book set is something everyone would love to read. Six books each with a sexy man in uniform… either on leave, active or retired… yeah it’s enough to have you needing air conditioning in the middle of winter. There wasn’t one book in this collection that I didn’t completely enjoy. Where yes some were more emotional than others they were all excellent. Well hope this helps… Happy Reading.
Book 1 Infatuation by Melissa Schroeder
This one is a hot and sexy Dom SEAL who’s always had a thing for his best friend and BUD/s partner sister Shannon. Shannon Dupree has always found Francis “Kade” McKade sexy and desirable. While on in Hawaii for one of Shannon’s brother’s wedding they both finally give into the their desire for each other… Only problem is that Kade is sent on a mission before they can figure out what they want to do.
Upon returning home after a disastrous mission where Kade is injured, he becomes afraid all his demons will cause him to hurt Shannon is some way. So he decides he is going to try and avoid her. Little does he realize the saucy Cajun woman refuses to let that happen, when she sets out to make him jealous with one of his buddies at the bar she owns, he is pushed past the point of reason. He lets his Dominant side take over and takes her to bed showing her exactly what happens to his women when they misbehave.
If any of you have ever read some of my thoughts on Doms you know very well they are a huge weakness for me… Add to that this one is a Military man and I am done for. Don’t worry if BDSM is not your thing, this story is so well written that it’s not something you are drowning in but can still feel the power and need behind it.
Book 2 SEALs Honor by Elle James aka Myla Jackson
This one is a heartwarming/breaking story. I highly recommend having the box of tissues handy for this one. Read Tucker “Tuck” and Cory Nipton “Reaper” are SEALs that are training with a group of Army helicopter pilots one in particular being Delaney “O’Connell “Razor”. Here’s the problem, because of their jobs being together isn’t allowed and Tuck and Razor are forced to keep their sexual relationship secret. The night before they are all deployed Reaper asks Razor to marry him. He is convinced that he’s fallen in love with the sexy Army pilot. Tuck does everything in his power to stop his friend, he knows that Razor doesn’t feel that way about his friend and is trying to spare his feelings. Reaper does so anyway, making Razor promise to not answer right away but to think about it and she can give him the answer when they return from their deployment.
On one particular mission Reaper is injured to the point that he loses his arm. Feeling guilty and not wanting to hurt his will to live Razor agrees to marry him. Her sense of guilt because she knows she doesn’t love him that way and is completely in love with his best friend eats away at Razor. But no matter she will have to continue on with her commitment, besides Tuck doesn’t love her so why should she stop herself from finding love.
So many emotions are hit with this story. The guilt of not wanting to hurt a fellow friend and partner, the need to protect each other on a mission, the lost feeling of never finding love or losing your only chance at the one you do love and the fear of not only the ones injured in the line of duty but of those who are around them and sworn to help. Like I said at the beginning this is definitely one you want to keep that box of tissues handy for. But it’s all well worth it in the end.
Book 3 SEAL the Deal by Sharon Hamilton
Well let’s just keep the cry fest going with book 3… Nick’s sister Sophie is dying. Cancer has over run her body and she can no longer care for the nursery she adores. In light of that she calls her brother and best friend for help. She needs to sell the property, but wont be able to do everything to make it presentable by herself. Her best friend Devon is a real estate agent and is there for her. But little do Nick and Devon know that Sophie has another plan in mind. After her death both will be left alone, no other family to care for and about them.
Nick asks his roommate, partner and friend Marc to accompany him up the coast to where his sister lives to help with the huge undertaking of getting the nursery ready for sale. What he isn’t prepared for is the state in which he find Sophie. When Sophie informs him that he will not only work closely with, but date Devon her best friend all he can remember is the skinny braced awkward girl he’d seen years before. In reality what he encounters is a sexy, beautiful woman.
Devon isn’t happy about what Sophie asks of her, but willing to do anything to make her dying friends wishes come true she goes along with it. At first she makes it a point to be cold and distant to Nick, she remembers him as the egotistical, self-riotous man who thinks he is better than the rest because he is a SEAL. But quickly all those feelings are thrown out the window as she really gets to know him. Again because of the subject matter it makes it an extremely emotional story, but one that you cant put down once you start to read it. You’re pulling for Sophie to have a peaceful last few days of life, for Nick and Devon to find love in each other and not be left alone with no one else in the future and for Marc that he is able to help keep everything and everyone happy as the days come to a close.
Book 4 Dangerous Liaison by Delilah Devlin
After two books that make us cry lets dive into an action packed one shall we…
Maya Cordoba is partners in a travel agency that is in dire need of a new source of income… well why not trying to book people on adventure vacations instead, only thing is she needs to take one first. Her first adventure vacation… A survival training camp, somewhere in South America.
Only problem is that the vacation turns out to be more action and adventure than Maya ever expected or wanted. When she is accidently confused for the daughter of a drug rival a group of men kidnap her and hold her hostage. She is forced to rely on the help of a man she no longer knows if she can trust.
Angel Rickman is an ex-Marine, ex-Mercenary and current undercover DEA agent at the training facility. His goal… to find where the drugs are being produced so he can bust and rid the world of two dangerous drug lords. That mission is thrown out the window the minute Maya Cordoba is accidently mistaken for the wrong woman. Now he must get her out alive and back to safety.
There is one other problem neither of them prepared for… The attraction they have for each other… Amongst the action and adventure these two find love, well at least lust. This was a great story to have after the two sob fest stories that precede it…
Book 5 Her Forever Hero by JM Madden
This is such a beautiful story… I truly couldn’t stop reading it, even with the company I had over I was completely submerged in the story.
Kendall Harrington is the daughter and hopefully preceding CEO of Frank Harrington and Harrington Limited. The only problem is that she finds herself pregnant and having to fight for the position of CEO against her father’s best friend’s son, after giving in to her desire for her bodyguard on Christmas Eve. With the way some of the old timers think, getting the job just became so much harder. Grafton, her body guard and the baby’s father comes up with a simple solution. They get married.
Grif is the first to notice that Kendall is pregnant, he sees the symptoms even before she does. He’s scared of what being a parent could mean for him… He didn’t exactly have the best role models for the job, and as an amputee would it be something he could help with? Though he’s adapted well to having lost his right arm he isn’t completely confident. He’s also scared of what he can bring into a relationship with Kendall. He also doesn’t want Kendall to think he is only after her for her money so he does anything he can think of to protect her future. He has only one major request during their marriage… she not treat it like an arrangement but a real marriage.
Again this is such a wonderful story, one that helps the reader renew their faith in humanity. The growth of both characters is amazing. I just completely loved it.
Book 6 Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson
While on a weekend leave before being deployed to Afghanistan John “Crash” O’Malley and Danny “Zippy Zipkin decide to head to NYC and meet up with Zippy’s sister Trish. Zippy’s goal is to get Crash a woman. With that in mind he asks Trish to bring her best friend Dawn along for the weekend. But Crash isn’t interested in Dawn, his eyes are for Trish.
Trish is instantly attracted to her brother’s fellow Marine and Brother at Arms Crash. His southern drawl and gentlemanly ways, something she can’t find in New Jersey. Going for it she decides to forget the fact that Crash is about to be shipped off and get what she so craves… his body. After two wonderful days with this amazing man neither one thought it would be so hard to let go.
One of the things about this story that I like was of all the stories in the anthology it was the only one that gave us more of a day to day life of those in the service. It was also the only story that showed us how they need to adapt to changes of life on the camps in case of attack.
Anyway that is my review of six different stories in one book set… I hope you run off and get them because they really are great stories.
There have been a ton of anthologies released lately all at a super low price and I’ve bought every one of them. I can’t resist a great deal even if I have read one or two in it because I’m still getting all the other books and these are always priced that it doesn’t matter. In Uniform Desires, I was surprised to discover that I had only read one of the six, yes six, books in it. So, I consider this one to be a HUGE score! In addition I’ve discovered a new to me author that whose work I flat out love and enjoy works from five other fabulous authors. If you enjoy romance, suspense, can’t resist a military man in uniform or out, and enjoy well written stories then this is the collection for you!
Infatuation (A Little Harmless Military Romance) by Melissa Schroeder 4.5 stars
This is the one book that I’d read before and it was not a hardship to read it again and to write a review for it. I love Melissa’s Harmless series and have been a huge fan ever since I read the first one. Taking place in Hawaii and New Orleans gave this book some awesome scenery and while it takes place at the wedding of a couple featured in an earlier book, it doesn’t affect this one at all. Francis McKade (Kade) has had it bad for his best friend’s sister but he lives by the bro code until a wedding and a little too much to drink have them falling into bed with each other. It’s passionate and steamy hot and then Kade’s off on a mission with his SEAL team and Shannon is left behind. It wasn’t hard to love this story with a wounded SEAL injured and suffering from PTSD and refusing to let anyone help. I admire Shannon greatly for confronting Kade head on making him confront everything and I give her so much damn credit for letting him go when he needed to. While Kade was a wreck and at times a very stubborn man, his grand gesture towards the end went a long way to prove his heart was in the right place. I loved seeing the other couples from previous books as well as some that will be feature in upcoming stories. Honestly, I just can’t get enough of Melissa Schroeder’s Harmless series and this one reminded me exactly why I love it so much!
SEAL’s Honor by Elle James 4.0 stars
It’s hard not to like a book that features a love triangle and is set in a war zone with two Navy SEALs and a helicopter pilot they both love. Problem is Reed and Delaney have acted on their attraction but no one knows not even Cory, the third person involved in this triangle. Reed and Delaney have some red hot chemistry going on and while Delaney’s feelings towards a relationship have changed, Reed is adamant about not being a good candidate for commitment. Cory on the other hand has no problem with commitment leaving Reed spinning out of control and jealous. I very much enjoyed this story and the characters even though Reed drove me nuts at times and I hated that Delaney wasn’t willing to take a stand with him. Cory despite everything really was a great character and I loved watching his journey throughout the book. While I would have liked more time with these three, I still very much enjoyed this story.
SEAL the Deal by Sharon Hamilton 3.5 stars
I loved this story right up until the very end and then I felt like I was left hanging….ARG! It’s not that I don’t have the ability to rationalize what happens to everyone, I want to know what the author had in mind and I needed closure. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy this story because I did very much so but it would have been so much better with an epilogue. I love when adversaries turn to friends and lovers, it just makes the story all the better and Nick and Devon were perfect in their roles. I have no doubt that the attraction between them had been building for awhile but now as adults it could no longer be ignored especially when Nick’s sister, Sophie, made it a dying wish for them to get to know one another better. It was easy to see how out of her element Devon was around Nick and the other SEALS but I admire her unwavering support of her best friend to be there even if she was uncomfortable. It was fun watching Nick be perplexed by Devon because she didn’t treat him the way most women have in his life. He really had to work at winning her over and gaining her trust and I think that was an eye opener to him as to how shallow the other women in his life have been. The interaction between the entire SEAL team who come to help out Sophie was loud, fun, and raunchous and I loved every minute of it. While I would have loved a better ending, I still enjoyed this story and will definitely check out the other offerings from this author.
Dangerous Liaison by Delilah Devlin 4.0 stars
I love romantic suspense stories and Dangerous Liaison was just that and sexy to boot. During a weeklong anti-terrorist training school adventure, travel agent Maya Cordoba is mistakenly identified as the daughter of a drug cartel leader. When she is kidnapped while sharing a shower with one of the school’s instructors, she has to figure out if Angel Rickman is part of the problem or the solution. Hot doesn’t even begin to describe the chemistry between Maya and Angel, it pours off of them and the suspense pretty much is non-stop from beginning to end. I loved the fast action and the danger element that seemed to intensify the feelings these two developed quite quickly for one another. At first I thought Maya was quite the airhead but as time went on, I developed a deep respect for her and her strength. While Angel did make quite that tactical error, the fact that he kept Maya calm and did what was necessary to ensure her safety make up for that and more. It’s hard not to enjoy a story like this where the characters are in a perilous situation with seemingly no way out and turn to each other for comfort and support. While I’ve read quite a few books by this author, I don’t ever remember reading a romantic suspense by her before and she has quite the knack for storytelling of this kind!
Her Forever Hero by J.M. Madden 5.0 stars
Sometimes you read and author and you wonder why in the hell you haven’t read her before and that’s exactly what happened when I read Her Forever Hero by J.M. Madden. From the very first chapter of this book I fell in love with this author and her characters. The only thing Kendall Herrington wants is to be appointed the CEO of her father’s company but she has some competition from an old flame, some threats have caused her father to employ full time body guards for her, and she’s having a really hard time ignoring one of them, Grafton (Grif) Parks. Grif on the other hand doesn’t mind the time he spends guarding Kendall and the one momentary lapse in judgment isn’t something he’ll soon forget. I flat out loved these two characters together. Although they were brought up in vastly different types of households, I love how much they have in common in all things including the need for normalcy. It was so fun to watch them discover each other and spend simple time together and the sex…whew…throw some water on me now! There are some twists and turns and some scary moments but this book was just a flat out fabulous steamy romance from beginning to end. There was no big convoluted blow up just two adults figuring out how to be together while one climbs to the top of the corporate world and the other tries to figure out what comes next in his career. Together they explore life, love, and real joy they’ve never known and it’s just fabulous!
Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson 4.5 stars
I’m a huge fan of Cat Johnson and I especially love her military romances so I wasn’t surprised I enjoyed Cinderella Liberty as much as I did but I want MORE….wah!!! My hope is that we’ll see more of this crew in a new series, please don’t leave me hanging Cat! A weekend liberty in New York City finds John “Crash” O’Malley hooking up with his best friend’s little sister, Trish. Oh, he knows it breaks the bro-code and he knows it’s really bad because he’s shipping out to Afghanistan for at least 6 months but she makes a convincing argument and he’s only human. The last thing he expects is to feel way more than he should for a woman he spent just a few stolen moments with. It was so easy to love Crash, Trish and Trish’s brother, Zippy as well as see the love between the siblings, the respect between the two men, and the instant heat and attraction between Crash and Trish. Crash turned out to be such a great guy; I love the way he didn’t want to leave Trish early in New York and how he hoped he’d get to see her when Zippy was chatting with her on Skype. It was easy to see that the time they spent together meant way more to him than he ever imagined. I can’t imagine how hard this situation was for Trish, she loves her brother fiercely but finds herself attracted beyond words to her best friend and then sleeps with him. She’s worried as both of them head over into a war zone and even more so when she can’t reach them. Zippy is a wild card that at times I adored and at times I wanted to knock upside the head but when push came to shove, he reacted much better than most people would in his situation and I give him a lot of credit for that. This is one of those books that has so much heart in it, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less steamy. Cinderella Liberty proves that Cat Johnson knows her audience and wants to keep them coming back for more but they’ll have to stand in line behind me!

I got this one as an ebook through AllRomance.com (not kindle).
It's really bad. It's basicly 6 really clumsy stories of men, who at some point in their life were in the military, and how they hook up with their girlfriends.
These were my notes from reading through them: Infatuation by Melissa Schroeder (2) an excuse for porn SEAL’s Honor by Elle James (1) horrible drama SEAL the Deal by Sharon Hamilton (3) a sweet story with a slow building story Dangerous Liaisons by Delilah Devlin (1) gave up Her Forever Hero by JM Madden (2) meh Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson (2) feels like a prequel to some other book
Infatuation by Melissa Schroeder Right away I could tell that this series was set in her "Harmless" series. I have read a couple of them before and liked them, after reading this I need to get back to reading them.
I liked this one. I loved that Shannon went for what she wanted, but hated that they were interrupted. I wasn't surprised that Kade was different when he came back. I liked how Shannon dealt with him. I found it interesting that Deke kept asking about Shannon. I think he figured out pretty quickly that Kade was interested in Shannon and that he purposely flirted with Shannon to egg Kade on. I liked the conversation that Shannon had with Deke, she was pretty blunt. It also makes me wonder if what he said is setting him up for a future story.
I was glad that Kade finally went after Shannon. I found myself laughing at the conversation that Mal and Kade had the next day. I knew that things would end up blowing up. I knew that Kade would end up hating what he did and fix it, but still. I thought he did a good job of groveling at the end.
SEAL's Honor by Elle James I felt for Delaney in this one. You knew she wanted to really be wanted by Tuck, for more than just sex. I get with her past and his both were coming at things from different experiences. I wished that Delaney would have told Tuck, he might have understood. I found it odd because he told her about his past.
I felt sorry for Cory/Reaper. I have a feeling that his love of Delaney was more of, wanting to be in love and settling down, than really being in love with Delaney. I got so annoyed with Tuck when he kept backing away from Delaney and how he got made at Cory, it was his own fault. I also couldn't fault Delaney for her answer to Cory and wanting to save face for him. I thought it was worse when Tuck would talk about things with Delaney and still not stake his claim.
I hated how they all got hurt, couldn't blame Delaney for her answer of Yes to Cory. When it showed them in Germany with the new PT nurse, I wondered there, but it seemed to easy. I felt bad when Tuck was going to the wedding, it had to be bad knowing you were going to hurt someone. I was just glad that it didn't turn out that way, although I did love how Tuck made an ass of himself before learning the truth, because really he needed to eat some crow. SEAL the Deal by Sharon Hamilton I didn't really care for this one, had a hard time buying into the romance angle. I was more involved with Sophie, her settling things and wanting to do the right thing with her dream. I wish that the ending was so abrupt, wished things could have been more concluded with the nursery and why she hates her neighbor so much. Dangerous Liaison by Delilah Devlin I'm not sure what it was about this one, but it was just meh...for me. I didn't really hate it, but didn't really like it either. I liked the idea of the story, but wasn't sure that I bought the romance part, especially after Angel confessed that he was with her for the job.
Her Forever Hero by JM Madden I was really excited when I realized that this one was from the author's Lost and Found series. It is one of my favorites as the guys are heroes who have paid a high price. I really liked this one, but do wish that the infamous night would have been in the story, not just the aftermath.
I really liked how Grif and Kendall went about things when realizing there was a bun in the oven. Some people might have thought they were cold and calculation, but with the exception of the one night they had sex, their relationship was business. I liked that they were willing to give things a chance, I loved that Grif actually demanded that if they got married it would be a real marriage. It seemed like as time went on they were great together, but it was an accident that made them realize just how much they grew to mean to each other.
I thought the ending was sweet, was glad for the revision of the pre-nup and for the news that Kendall had.
Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson I thought this one was cute. I liked the friendship between Crash and Zippy and thought the relationship between Crash and Tricia was sweet. I did find myself wanting to slap Zippy for his actions towards Tricia's friend, especially the second day. I found myself laughing when Crash confessed, thought Zippy would be madder. I loved how things ended for Crash and Tricia.
This box set delivers in more ways than one. Filled with action and passion that heats up the pages. Stories filled with emotions that will make our heart skip a beat. Not to forget all the hot bods in those sexy uniforms that make you hold your breath for a more than a few seconds. Each author gives us a compelling story of what the good, bad and ugly side of what a military relationship can. And the length one with go though to make them last. These stories also give a look at what this men go thought and the aftermath the have to deal with after. Love, hope, loyalty and brotherhood shine through each tale. I can't pick a favorite story from this collecton. Each author gave us a steamy story with hot heros. They also showed what it is like to be on the front lines and when the one you are in love with is there too. Showed both sides of the worry these couples face know one day they may not come home. Emotions on theses pages will take you on a wild ride. The bond of brotherhood will at times leave you breathless. From the front lines to the beaches of Hawii, to the jungle pf Centeral America the book is a 5 star all the way.
Melissa Schroeder takes up to Hawaii and New Orleans for a fantasy come true for Shannon and Kade. But when the call to ship him out comes, they do realize that it is more than just a fantasy. When realities of being in the field puts Kade in a funk, Shannon shows him what love and passion can do to a wounded heart and mind. Elle James's Seal's Honor puts Reed "Tuck" Tucker sence of honor, duty and loyalty on the line. The man who always backs always when things get a bit heavy. He got more than he bargained for when he met pilot Delaney O'Connell. Both being specialized active military they know relationships came he more than hard. Being slow on telling letting those words come from his mouth, fellow seal professes his love and asking for marrage to Delaney and after an accident in the field she agrees. All three of them test their loyalty, honor and friendship to do what right in their hearts. Seal the Deal by Sharron Hamilton envoked the most emotion of all the stories(for me at least :)). Special operator Nick Dunn finds the passion and emotion in the last place he thought. She sister is dying and he dovotes hisself to making sure she has in order. As a dying request of his sister he agrees to go on five dates with her best friend. Nick will get a bit more than he was ready for. Delilah Devlin takes is to the jungle of Central America for some cilivan anti-terrorist training in Dangrous Liason. Maya's life get flipped around and is on the run by acting on the impulse of lust. Who wouldn't with the sexy ex marine of an instructor, Angel Rickman. Being with the right guy at the wrong time, puts her life in danger. Here Forever Hero by J.M. Madden gives us sexy formor marine turned security guard Grafton Park. One is to guard the charges not sleep with them. Grafton does just that and Kendall ends up pregant. She is trying to step into her fathers shoes and take over his company. A great look at what it like trying to make it work, getting ready for a little and falling In love. Brotherhood and loyalty are put to the test in Cat Johnson's Cinderella Liberty. Two brothers in arm have a tad bit of leave before being deployed overs see. In New York, marines John "Crash" O'Malley andDanny "Zippy" meet up with Trish, Zippys sister. You never sleep with a brothers sister. Crash push the line with he brakes that unwritten rule. But he does no just want her for a night. Love and friendship are one the line.
I received an e copy of the book for an honest review.
Infatuation by Melissa Schroeder 5 stars Melissa Schroeder can definitely write military men and romances. This was hot! I love the brother's best friend trope and this was a prime example. I also loved how the heroine didn't bow down to the hero at all. She stood up for what she wanted. I can't wait for all of their stories!
Seal's Honor by Elle James 5 stars Whew! This was another hot one. I had no idea how these two were going to work it out, or if they even would. I love the ending and that it was a complete surprise. A beautiful love story with bumps and bruises, war injuries and bad guys coming at you constantly. I can't wait for more from this cast. I want each of there stories!
Seal the Deal by Sharon Hamilton 4.5 stars I really liked this book. I will definitely be reading more from this author. I liked how the hero and heroine fought their attraction. I loved that this book wasn't all happy go lucky. Seal the Deal definitely pulls at your emotions, all of them.
Dangerous Liaisons by Delilah Devlin 5 stars OMG! Full of non-stop action, adventure and steamy hot loving! I couldn't get enough of this book and did not put it down once. I loved it, but figured I would since I already love Ms. Devlin's work. She's a wonderful author who definitely knows how to keep the reader on their toes and the edge of their seats. I hope she has more for us from the group Angel worked for or where he's going. I would love to hear Cowboy's story as well. Or I would love to hear how the girls fair on their adventure vacations, so many wonderful possibilities.
Her Forever Hero by J.M. Madden Rating 4.5 stars I loved the storyline and the way the villain didn't get what they wanted. A great story.
Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson 5 stars Once again, Cat Johnson produces an amazing military romance. I loved this story. I hope there's a follow-up story with the heroine's brother.

I throughly enjoyed reading this unique anthology. Something for every one who likes to read military romances. Between action, adventure and sizzling romance. Some hotter than others. These wonderful authors have put together a marvellous package for a very pleasing read. Ive always enjoyed Sharon Hamilton's SEALs, and SEAL the Deal meet my expectations, so did JM Maddens, wounded heroes. It was nice to read some other authors i'd not read before but,now will be going on my TBR list. Who thrilled us with their different stories
Considering this was a shorter story that the rest in this series, I really enjoyed Grif and Kendall's story. It packed a nice punch and totally hit the spot. Kendall was a great heroine. Strong and independent yet was able to be vulnerable and hold her own against gruff Grif. Grif was just delicious. JM Madden has a way with writing true alpha men with big hearts hiding behind their tough exterior. The connection between Kendall and Grif was immediate and HOT! Definitely worth a read if you enjoy the Lost and Found series!
I’m not a huge fan of boxed sets, but I *do* like military romance. I enjoyed the collection with the exception of one story that was simply not very good. I thought the military men were different and realistic (not just the SEAL or special ops alpha males who’ve been a bit overdone) and the situations/romances were fresh and funny.
Pretty good collection of novels- liked all of them (although the third one started to drag out too long, so I skimmed a lot of the final few chapters. One of the better book sets I've read.
Her Forever Hero by JM Madden: 5 stars Cinderella Liberty by Cat Johnson: 3 stars Dangerous Liaison by Delilah Devlin: 5 stars SEAL's Honor by Elle James: 4 stars
