I received an ARC of this story from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Where to start? I LOVED this book! I've been a fan of the world and characters since I read The Rise of Xosha. Though much has changed since the storyline in that book, the characters still have the same quirky attitudes and the new characters fit right in.

The romance between Katalina Anastasia DarkLaw and Silver Von'Dyre is so steamy, you might need to wait until the children are asleep to read it. I know I felt like taking a cold shower a couple of times.

Granted, I wanted to fling the book across the room at the end, it was a really great read and I am eagerly awaiting the next in these series'.

I give Abomination 5 stars for being genuinely unique and of great quality. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the paranormal or fantasy or paranormal fantasy genres. It's full of humor and suspense and f-bombs, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)

Uniquely fresh... although I admit to being confused and a little overwhelmed at the beginning of the book.

The first 10 pages or so are descriptions of each character we will meet as well the types of creatures Xosha inhabits. I remember reading one of the descriptions that stated 'refer to previous books about Xosha' (or something along those lines) and I remember thinking... "whoops... did I grab the second book in the sequel and not the first?"

Alas, I decided to go with the flow and not worry myself by trying to memorize each and every character the list included; I might as well start the story and find out for myself, yeah?

Great story. Great characters. Great premise. Great writing. Great book.

I love reading about new worlds. My only complaint would be for there to have been a map of Xosha at the beginning of the book for me to visualize the world the author wanted us to travel to (I don't know if there is already one out there, but it would have been great to have one on this book). I tried visualizing it in my head but it's all jumbled really and I prefer to have the author's actual map of Xosha than my crumby version of it.

Katalina DarkLaw and Silver Von'Dyre. I just wished we could of gotten a bit more sexy time with them. I felt like there was as much sex with Mia and Silver as there was with Katalina.

I definitely will look into more work by this author. I really want to follow Katalina and Silver's storyline

I received a copy of this book from LoP in place of an honest review.

When I first read the blurb about this book I didn't know if I would be able to follow it or not. It became a book that I just couldn't put down. I got so into the story and it became very addictive. I can't wait to read the next book. It was left with a cliffhanger.

Katalina DarkLaw belongs to the alpha of the DarkLaw pack. Her father has went to the dark side and has killed his mate and wants the same to happen to his daughter. She has been cursed since the day she was born and her other brothers and sisters died. Her mother saved her life that day.

Silver Von'Dyne is the alpha of the Von'Dyne pack. Everyone calls him old man because of his silver hair and calls him a bachelor because they think he will never find his mate. He is called from the alpha of all the packs. They are searching for Katalina because her dad told everyone that she killed his beta for no reason. When Silver see's Katalina he finds out that she is his mate.

This is the first book that I have ever read from this author and boy did she do a great job. I am still trying to find some answers to some things that happened in this book and hopefully I will get some answers in the next book. I would tell everyone to try this book if they love paranormal. This has all kinds of shape-shifters.

Abomination happens in the same realm as Legend of Xosha, but I think you can read this one without and still be able to keep up.

Katalina has had a hard life. Her father is the alpha but the pack wanted to kill her at birth. She was spared by her mother. Once she reaches 16 she will be judged by her pack. After being disrespected by a member of the pack, Katalina goes on the run.

Silver is not totally happy with his mate. He tolerates her for now but he is alpha and his pack is ready for him to mate. After Katalina's father notifies the head alpha of her running, Silver and the alpha from all the other packs are summoned.

Katalina and Silver both have several run in with the creatures of Xosha and both of their lives are changed forever.

I really enjoyed this books and I can't wait to read what happens next. I enjoyed the cast, all of them have a past full of mystery.
There wasn't a dull moment in this book. So much kept happening to Katalina you had to keep wondering, is that all please let that be it for her.

First off I want to say Thank you to LOP and S. Cu'Anam Policar for giving me this book.. in return for an honest review!

Where to start! I really really liked this book! Katalina DarkLaws has had to fight from the day she was born. She has only wanted to belong and be loved! Will she ever get the life she wants?

Abomination is full of action, betrayal, jealousy, and love! The Author gave us an amazingly different world with demons, wolves, wraiths, dragons, spiders! The characters were awesome I loved the attitudes! Katalina she was a kick ass Alpha female that took everything thrown at her! I thought Silver was great but I must say Vandyl got to me!

The only thing for me was that I wanted to know more from the back ground and I had to keep looking up some of the breeds! I Should have read the prequel first. But I am so looking forward to the next book! Hope its not long of a wait!

All in all GREAT read.. anyone that likes fantasy or paranormal should pick this book up!

Again, a book that leaves me wordless. So hard to find what to say. First of all this book is just wonderful, written in such a way you cannot help but be in the world of the author’s making. What a world! Katalina’s story is heartbreaking and awesome all rolled into one. I really didn’t want to leave this book world but had no choice as the story ended… Hmmm I can wait, it helps me imagine all the things that can happen in the next book. Abomination takes the paranormal world to a new high, everything well thought out and written with a perfectionist’s eye. S. Cu’Anam Policar is without a doubt a talented wordsmith who will keep me busy reading about fantastic worlds with characters you can’t help but love. Thank you for sharing your book with me to read and review, I am a fan.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Very well written, story kept a nice pace.

I love Silver. He's just so.... unkempt. Untamed. Brute. Unrefined. All my favorite things in a man.

Poor Kat....poor, poor, poor Kat. Poor kid was dammed before she was even born. She's a strong one though and she perseveres. I'm not going to get into details much since others have already done that. I just loved this book so much. Wonderfully written. The world is just amazingly created and flows well. I agree with another reviewer though, a map would be super helpful. ♡

NOW HURRY WITH THE NEXT BOOK!! Kkthanks!!

I received this book from LoP for an honest review.

Well, I must say I was a little on the fence with this one. It was very well written, but there for me there was just too much going on.
I personally don't like being bombarded with too many different names - creatures - locations at ones.
I did like the attraction between Silver and Katalina.
The cliffhanger wasn't too bad, and I am sure I will continue reading this series.

I received this book free for an honest review from both the author and LoP. I hope this is the first book of many for the DarkLaw pack. Katalinia is a character that even with the deck stacked against her she keeps on. This book gave me everything I want in a good read. Awesome sex scenes, got some deaths and best of all some raw language. If you offend easily this is not the book for you. I cant wait to read more.

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review. LoP, Lovers of Paranormal**
First off, I could not get into this book. I gave it all I could. It had a pretty good concept, but it went off. I thought it was a bit busy with the characters, locations and terms. I'm glad I had the chance to read it. Well written. Great sex scenes. A good add to your tbr list.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review for LoP. I feel so bad for Katalina she had a rough childhood. Silver is a alpha and heard about Katalina who killed her father omega. When Silver meets Katalina for the first time he is struck by her beauty. I highly recommend this book. It's amazing read.

Why ‘Abomination’ Is Not Just That – Review of S. Cu’anam Policar’s Novel

Greetings and Salutations my literary page turners! Mariah here with another review for you of a book produced by Wolf Paw Publications. As always I will remind you that this is a book that I was given for free in order to give an honest and fair review. So with that disclaimer given I will dive right in.

To sum up as best as I can without giving away plot points, here is the general run down. This story is the tale of a fated pairing between the two main characters Katalina Darklaw and Silver Von’Dyre.

While I’ll be honest with you all, I don’t normally read a lot of books in the first person perspective and have no experience in writing it. Abomination is a novel that puts you in the mind to experience the story from one of the main character’s perspectives. In some points these transitions can leave you feeling a little disoriented, but serves to give you an in depth look at the characters and their emotions inside of the story.

Our novel begins right in the part of the conflict that drives a majority of the story. I will be honest, this book struts through scenes in rapid fire order, so while it can seem a bit fragmented there is no lack of action from one moment to the next. There is also a kind of down to earth, everyday quality to the characters that make it easy to relate to their dialogue and emotions as you make your way through the novel.

There is a rapid pace to the novel itself that sends the reader into this world head first and does not seem to stop. Be warned this book is another of those that seemed to end abruptly as a cliff hanger to another novel in the series. Be prepared for that.

I will also give you these little kernels of importance to alleviate any of your concerns. The author supplies you with a working compendium of races, places, and characters to bring you up to speed on the world you are entering and interacting with.

There is a rich supporting cast that adds an element of intrigue and insight to the characters that are the main focus of the novel. As a paranormal romance this book does not fail to offer scenes that do not disappoint, along with a kind of humor that will have you chuckling out loud at a few key points in the story.

All in all, I have chosen to give this book four out of five stars for the unique concepts on the world that the author had created as well as the richness of some of the characters in their personality. With a fast paced, action packed story that constantly moves you will find yourself constantly in transition along with the characters while the writing perspective lets you experience the world through the mind’s of the main characters.

I recommend this book to anyone who prefers a first person format in the books that they read. Enjoy!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal)
From the moment, S. Cu’Anam Policar, teased me with **this book contains coarse language, sex, death, and at least one scene some may find offensive. It is not recommended for readers under the age of 18** I was intrigued. I thought this is my kind of book. And this author delivered. I got sex, death, and coarse language, but I was not offended.
The author created a unique world with very interesting paranormal creatures and gave them a new spin. But I was confused initially. It took me a few pages well to really immerse myself into the story. The first few pages were filled with descriptions of the paranormal creatures which inhabit the fantasy world among other descriptions. To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement. Several times I had to flip back to the beginning to refresh myself on the terms and this pulled me away from the story.
I adore world building and paranormals, so I loved the concept of the realm which felt fresh and exciting, and the uniqueness of the creatures. But as some characters were introduced I kept thinking I am missing a story or some background that came before. I felt that keenly.
However with that out of the way I found myself enjoying the book. The plot in itself was not incredible, but it was solid. It was somewhat predictable from the main characters and the villain got introduced. But the author revealed it in such a fast paced way, it kept me turning the pages. Her description and narration was very good. Several times though I felt as if too much things were happening at the same time.
I did not really connect with Katalina DarkLaw. Even her anguish in the end did not really draw me in. I was not even sure if I cared about what she was enduring. But I connected deeper with Silver. It was through Silver that I could care about Katalina. I really didn’t find it believable how soon they fell for each other. But then, with the premise of mating being instinctive it was explained. I wished for more time with the main characters. It is with this need in me to know more, I know I would read the sequels.
Overall I rate this book 3.5 star.

As a winning NaNoWriMo project this is quite an achievement, but at the same time it certainly shows that this was written in only a month. There's a good story here but it needs a lot of editing to bring focus to what it going on.

Firstly there were far too many unexplained terms and places. I know there's a glossary at the start and a prequel book, but I should be able to pick up what's going on within the story without having to resort to outside material. On a similar note there were things that happened that were apparently well understood (and horrifying) to the characters but I was left confused by it all. For example Katalina is seen as "tainted" by her pack by being the only non-stillborn out of her litter of 10 and the pack want to kill her at birth for this, it is in fact a major driving point of the story, but we never know why this is so awful.

There was also very little sense of time progression and it felt like events were taking place one on top of another. There are a few times where we're specifically told a week or a few months pass, but at the same time it doesn't feel like that because nothing much changes in the between period. This made it hard to really grow attached to the characters because there just wan't enough time to show what they are really like, nor was there an emotional impact to the situations because they all happened far too fast.

I think if this story was rewritten, slowed down enough to explain what's going on and add some tension, then it could be a top rate novel. Actually I think there's enough here to split up in to multiple novels and give each piece of the story a time to shine, which is kind of weird for me to say because usually I'm grousing about how these days there's a tendency to stretch a story unnecessarily thin just to squeeze out a few extra books for little effort.

It was considered a bad omen when Katalina was the only pup in her litter to survive. She tried to overcome the stigma of her birth, but eventually she was forced to go on the run. Silver is the Alpha of his pack and didn't think he'd ever find a mate, until he meets Katalina. There's only one problem. She's been infected with a disease that can turn her into a monster without control. The lovers must find a way to overcome Katalina's condition, stop her father from hunting her down, and face a slew of conspiracies at every turn. The story leaves us with a nail biting cliffhanger that will have you clamoring for the next book in the series.

Abomination is a fast paced novel filled with non-stop action. The author creates a whole new world and puts a unique spin on both werewolves and vampires. Yet, those are only a few of the creatures you'll encounter. There are demons, wraiths, dragons, elves and so much more. I love the way she describes pack life, and how some packs choose to live in mansions while others are more primal. In the midst of all the battles, there is also a sweet romance that explodes into a sexy love affair with steamy scenes that will leave you panting. I was totally pulled into the fantasy world of Xosha and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Silver that naughty wolf is a possessive sort, "in that moment, I was jealous of Lucas' ability to hold her and comfort her, even though she was probably oblivious to it all. I want to hold her and I wanted to claim her." I mean he really does had a jealousy issue, "I'm sure Lucas knew he had no chance with Katalina. How could he have even effed her?! Did spiders even have di**s?" And you don't take his woman away while he's injured, "as she reached for Katalina, I clamped my right hand around her hovered arm and squeezed. I gave her a growl as a warning. "I. Said. Leave. Her. Alone!" I nearly barked." Silver he knows how to share, if it's the right person, "if you're my mate, whatever's mine becomes yours too, you know." Oh Vandyl I hope he gets a story all on his own because I loved that man/wolf hardcore, "buck up, Sil. Don't hate 'cause I'm hung like a stallion while you're working with a pea shooter." Katalina I love how as the book goes on she gets more and more comfortable in her own skin, "Katatalina opened an eye and looked at me before lifting a hand to run over my chest. I lightly grabbed her wrist to still her. "You'll wake the beast if you keep that up." The cliffhanger wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I'm really looking forward to the next installment.

as always i love to read any of the books set in the World of Xosha. I have been a fan for sometime and have even interacted in gaming with some of the Characters in this book. The story of Katalina, Silver, and Vandyl however had me refusing to put this book down to do the other tasks i was supposed to be doing. The descriptions of the places, the races, and even the emotions each character felt at any given time was amazing. I cannot wait to finish the story in book 2 . A Great job !
I will of course recommend the Ways of the Pack series to all my friends and co workers !~

This is one of those shorter not your grandma's romance type books. To beat that line this is not your everyday paranormal read either, be prepared to be snared by the 2nd chapter. This read is as unique as the author seems to be. Grab your copy and find out just exactly what I mean. Recommended for all adults who enjoy paranormal reads or fantasy reads.
