About the author

Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.

In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.

Pretty Good

This is the 2nd book in Angie Daniels Beaumont series...I was not impressed with the first book...but just reading the first book, I knew this 2nd book would be hot...This is a 5 star book in my opinion...She did not disappoint at all...Jace beaumont is like the average man...scared of commitment but knows a good woman when he has one...but he wants his cake and want to eat it too of course...Sheyna is like most women as well...She wants the house with the white picket fence but she refuse to be made a fool of...She does not bite her tongue at all...She is a funny character in this book...Pretty much, she want back down to anyone who has anything negative to say....I really enjoyed her character the most...She loves herself some Jace...she does not want to wear her heart on her shoulder so she plays along with his game until she can no longer be in his presence...This is definitely a page turner...You will not be disappointed...

I loved the chemistry between Jace & Sheyna....it was like molten lava! I am so happy this series was recommended to me...I would have missed out on greatness of I didn't read these books!

The Beaumont men are so sexy. They seem to love hard, but slow on the uptake to get together. They mean well but can occasionally get wrong. Love the story with Shay and Jace, it took Jim a minute to get it right , but did well when he got it. More read with Ms Daniel’s and the Beaumont men

This is book 2 of the Beaumont Series about the oldest brother Jace ans Shauna Simmons. They were childhood friends she always had a crush on him which grew into love as she grew older. He was the rich play boy who broke many hearts but became attracted to Shayna. Jade made a winning bid for her in a modeling contest that she sponsored every year for the community for a trip to Los Vegas where she was to surrender to him totally for the weekend and what a weekend it was and they attraction grew more for each other. She wanted a commitment which he had trouble doing and she walked away from him. In the end they both came to their senses and he bought her the farm house with a the white picket fence she had always dreamed of got married in a beautiful ceremony and left for Alaska on a eleven day honeymoon. Good read.

I already knew I was going to enjoy this book, since Jace and Sheyna were introduced in the first Beaumont book, and I wasn't disappointed. Both characters are strong-willed, stubborn, and hilarious! Both of them are fighting the attraction that they feel for each other. And the only way it seems that they can do that, is to try and best each other. The problem is that they've known each other all their lives and the feelings run so deep that eventually neither can hold out!

I was rooting for this couple from the beginning and loved every minute of their roller coaster relationship. This one is definitely a keeper.

Jace and Sheyna have known one another since childhood. Sheyna shows up on his door step wearing a sexy maid costume( she lost a game) and it was on and popping from there. Sheyna was attracted to him, but was putting up a good front especially since he was her boss. Jace was known as a playboy which made putting her feelings out there a no-no. I loved this book by Angie Daniels and have become a fan since being introduced to her work. Get the book, you'll enjoy reading it.

Fast paced, contemporary hot romance with realistic likeable characters. I though the hero Jace, was stubbornly selfish and blockheaded for much of the book, but I guess that describes lots of men nowadays, yet? lol. He was sexy though and the heroine could handle him. In the end, he came around and delivered big time to the heroine (and the reader) so all good.

Good sequel to the first Beaumont book. Many typos and repeated scenes, but all in all it was a good book. I enjoyed the way that Sheyna and Jace's relationship unraveled. Friendship is the key to a good relationship.
