June 17, 2024I'm only okay with the baby trapping thingy if both parties want it. But Dominique (18/19) purposefully got impregnated because she doesn't want to go to college and wants to stay with Tyler (35/36?). He's her guardian and her father's friend.
She lied about being on birth control, and of course, when the two pink lines appeared, she had no choice but to tell him the truth. 🤦♀️
He was caught off guard by this news and got so mad that she took away his choice. He never wanted kids, but since the baby's already there, there's nothing he could do about it. He doesn't want her to get an abortion so in the end he eventually accepted the situation. But it seems that acceptance only happened because he wanted to do the right thing and not because he wanted to be a father. 🤧
In the epilogue, he said that he didn't realize that his family was the thing he'd been looking for all his life. While this might be adorable for some, I don't feel any joy about this realization because I'm still stuck on that part where he got furious that he was lied to and how his choice was taken from him. It's not okay, and going along with something you honestly never wanted in the first place is a sure recipe for disaster. 😫🤦♀️

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD (it's a mild story so it can't be more than that)
This book was a short story and I have to say it was very disturbing. He was all kind of a hypocrite when it came to her. She was allowed to wear what she wanted and he should have kept it zipped if he did not want to send out mixed signals.
19 year old girls are not known for their conservative apparel or their zen attitude. When he is Having sex with her being that he was sexually active, he should have been using condoms and not relying on her to be on the pill.
Also, if he put her on the pill since he is her guardian, he is even more disturbing since she was a virgin and did not want sex with anyone. He was just setting up himself so he could have his cake and eat it too.
I don't like guys like that.

I've read this a few times already. And I think I'll read this again soon. Just a quick light read.
Tyler was 35 and Dominique was almost 19.
When Tyler's best friend died 3 years ago, he named him as guardian of his daughter. She'd done everything in her power to run off every interested female. She's a brat but she's not afraid to show her feelings for him while he tried to fight his feelings for her because she's his best friend's daughter.
It was a short one but I always like Jordan Silver's books. Whether it's a short one or not. And I love her epilogues. They're always about family and really nice and sweet. Like this one.

I am really enjoying Jordan Silver. These books are not for everyone, but having said that, read the blurb people, if it's not your kind of book, DON'T READ IT. My only complaint, need looonnnngggggeeeeeerrrrrr stories. You go girl, keep writing what you want.

Maybe these aren't for me? Because I have a problem with grown men dating, marrying and impregnating high school students.
I can't find the sexy in a child who still has to deal with attendance policies and studying for the SATs.

I wanted a quick read and this certainly was that. Only 53 pages thankfully.
The story is taboo, age gap, best friends daughter.
The storyline was just about ok, if predictable. The one thing that bugged me most was the lack of grammar. Using commas in a sentence makes reading so much better. Unfortunately this author didn’t use many of them. For me, it ruined the book.
Would not recommend.

well this book was really short I read it un less Than an hour xx it was good bt wud have been great as a big book as well gtin more of the full story before and after and a lot more feelins shown or expressed xxx great short story though xxx

Dayum, it was hot. Good for a freebie.
The h is a little immature but she's only 18 the H was super hot. It was only from his perspective it would have been nice to get her take but a good quick dirty read.

Eh. Hated the "heroine" She was a whiny, manipulative, lying, pain in the ass. He also spanks her with a belt. Without sexual tension. Odd. Even odder? They watch a horse mating and both get so horny they barely make it into the hall before they start rolling around.

Ty took a total 180!!!
This was a hot, steamy quickie!!
Although I enjoyed the story along with the ending, I was mad that the author choose Dominique to make one of the most dig bat decisions in her life, to the point where Ty was thinking with his head ( the one on his shoulders folks!! ). I was actually taken aback that although some his decisions that he made caused me to pause for a moment, but when it counted....he was the logical one..which also should be the case since he is 35 and Dominique is 18/19..
Either way, enjoyed it and also recommend it!!

Try took in Dominique at 16, when she lost her father in a tragic accident morning the loss of his wife. He spent a year nursing her back to health, through grief and illness. She has been trying his patience ever since.
Dominique will be graduating high school soon and away to college. Try knows she thinks she is in love with him. His plan to scare her off back fires.
He now has to decide if he can let her go.
Fast paced and steady short story. A nice epilogue to wrap up their story.

Tyler ends up as guardian to his friend's sixteen year old daughter. Three years later and she's doing everything she can to get into his bed. He thinks it's a crush and decides to play along in hopes of scaring her away. Will it work or will it backfire? This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

Taboo, Short & Spicy
I love these short stories! They’re just long enough to get to know the characters but short enough where you can read one in one sitting. A little spice, a little humor, and a lot of insta-love… a perfect read when you don’t have the time for a full-sized book.
This one was good but very taboo. The male character is the guardian for the female character. She’s 18 but still still in high school. She acts up to try and get his attention, and he spanks her. He “tries” to resist her sexy flirting and advances for about 2 minutes. Very spicy, with a cute, happy ending.

Another quick, hot, sexy read. Tyler is the guardian to Dominique (yes, slightly taboo but they're not related in any way) his best friends daughter. She's a spitfire and he's just stubborn. Great story Jordan Silver!

Esta mini-novela junto con otra que leí pero aún no reseñé, prácticamente eran iguales :S
Más que anda no me cabe mucho la idea de que una chica tan joven -de 18 años recién cumplidos no tenga otros objetivos que engatusar al hombre y quedarse enbarazada-. Tiene que ser una chica con una mentalidad muy madura.
Tiene muchas escenas de sexo y pocas líneas para conocer a los personajes. Igualmente, la protagonista no me cayó tan bien, digamos que me pareció un poco histérica y aniñada.
No estuvo mal pero podría haber sido mejor.

The sex in the first half of the book was great and rough and lip-biting-good. ...then literally 51% into the book everything goes down hill. Thought i was going to love this book but then i just ended up confused and upset. :( on top of the story lacking, the grammar was atrocious! 3 expected-better-Stars!***

As with most teenage girls, she goes about this in the most drama filled ways possible... Ha! This is a short, hot read with all of the usual Jordan Silver touches! ❤️
