I’m Marie Coulson, writer and creator of the Bound Together series.

Born and bred in England, I discovered my love for writing when I was a mere child. Beginning with poetry and short stories, I soon discovered my flare and passion for the written word.
After pursuing a career in childcare, education and the care of the elderly, I left my job in the summer of 2012. It was at this point I finally sat down to write a novel that had been plotted for nearly three years. Only three months later…Bound Together was born.

The new title for the second book in the Bound Together series will be Burning Up. The title was changed after careful consideration and deliberation. The new name better reflects the theme and story and I hope you all like it.

1. I have no set date of release just yet but as soon as I do, you will all know.

2. I'm amazed how people are able to rate a book that I have not yet finished writing. It's already lost stars and isn't released yet. Mind Boggling. Some I know, clicked by mistake.

3. Thank you to those who have joined me on facebook, twitter and have sent me emails. I love to interact and talk to you all!

and finally, Thanking you all for your congratulations on my news xxxx

3 Conflicted Stars!!!

 photo 7e89ce52-b913-4282-97f6-e117c2e5653d_zpsc9b0bb8a.jpg

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It frustrated me to no end. Let me rephrase that. LAYLA frustrated me to no end. Jared and Ollie are both amazing guys. Love them both almost equally. I was leaning a little towards Team Ollie when I started this one, now I am leaning towards Team Jared. It feels almost impossible to pick a side. I know who’s team I’m not on. Layla’s.

Let me tell you a little more about the guys...

 photo f9f6f8bf-9095-4118-9cda-3c4f13f28f6f_zpse1491d89.jpg

Oh my Jared. Rich, young, and desirable. A business man who had to grow up really fast. Layla is the first girl Jared really loved and cared for. She screwed him over and she knew it. Layla’s thoughts pretty much mirrored my own in this case-
My intense, hot mess, businessman was in pain, and I was the cause. Bitch.

I really liked Jared in the first book, but I LOVED Jared in this one! He alone was the saving grace for me. Sexy, possessive, protective and hot as sin. He may be controlling at times, but he only cares about Layla, her safety. He does it out of love and concern.
“I love you, Layla. I don’t make rules to hurt, restrict or deprive you of your freedom. I make rules to protect you and keep you safe. I love you.”

Going into this, I really thought I liked Ollie best, but there was just something about Jared in this book that made me love him even more than the first.

 photo ebe2a53f-0353-4ecc-a47b-449ee864bd0a_zps8f271cb8.jpg

Now there is Ollie. Ollie is a pierced and tatted rock star, as well as one of Layla’s best friends, until she royally screwed him over as well. He is a good guy, a likable guy. As pissed as Ollie is with Layla, he still is very much in love with her. He hates her, but he loves her the same.

 photo 699e739c-09c7-4ef6-bd1c-f695213081ee_zps5d39134c.jpg

So what, or who will Layla choose?
Jared’s hot, heavy and passionate, and we have a burning and powerful connection that I’ve never experienced before. But Ollie, he’s sweet, funny, he cares about me, but most of all, he’s my friend.

When her heart is pulling her in the direction of both men, she can only have one. Jared and Ollie are so different. She owns them both, but who owns her heart?

I feel the way Layla treats Jared is just appalling. My main problem with her in this book... . I hope in book 3 Layla makes some serious adjustments, figures out what she wants and stops the back and forth crap.

I feel conflicted about how this one ended. I have high hopes that the third book will give me what I want, but then again, I don’t know. Layla doesn’t really deserve either of the guys, especially not Jared. And no matter who wins, some one will lose.

If you are looking for a love triangle series, full of angst, stress and heartbreak, but also some humor, TONS of steam and two lovable guys, pick this one up! If you can’t handle the angst, this series probably won’t work for you. The writing is fantastic, the story is fast paced, and even though I was exasperated with the heroine for most of the book, I still mostly enjoyed it.

Okay so I am going to have to leave this with a 3.5 rating. I want to get it less and more all at the same time... but I am trying to stay level headed.

There is one saving grace for me in this entire series, Jared. It wasn't that I never liked Ollie, but I just never saw him as an innocent in all this. He played dirty and I can' see him being a true friend by the actions he took in the first book. Jared had secrets, but it takes time to learn someone's past, especially the parts that predate your involvement.

I can't say much about the story in this, there are plenty of things that will make both Team Jared & Ollie girls very happy. But the story is yours to read. If you read Bound Together but not Last Christmas - I recommend that you do before you read this. It fills in a few gaps in the story timeline and situations. And as much as I hate to admit it, it adds to the angst.

There is another book left to be released and I honestly don't know if I will read it.

It isn't because I don't want to know how this ends. It really just comes down to Layla. She annoyed the hell out of me every second of these two books. I thought Kiera had me ready to murder, but Layla was the definition of immature. She was careless with the hearts of two men and played the victim the entire time. She refused to take responsibilities for her feelings and her attraction. Chemistry is natural, but saying no is simple. She cried about honesty throughout this entire book but had to be one of the most dishonest characters. I am not sure if we were meant to hate her and just want our boys to end up happy. But I hated her.

Omg..What can I say? I was waiting for this book to come out for a good wgile now, but I ended up a little disappointed. It was long, and most of the time I could kill Layla. She was annoying, -nothing-is-good-enough/I dont know what i want -kind of girl. I didnt like her character, It was hard to feel into her situation. She has 2 perfect guys, but only thinks of herself .It was just sooooo frustrating - and not in the good kinda way. Im not sure I ll read the 3rd book, but if I do, its just so I get to see her getting some payback . Both guys deserve better than her.

Team Jared 4ever!!

Let me stay off by saying I LOVED Bound Together...I was borderline obsessed with the Jared, Layla, Ollie love triangle. I have been waiting and waiting for this book to be done to get my fix of these amazing characters..it pains me to say but I was so disappointed with this book. Layla drove me crazy. She annoyed me so bad I didn't think I could finish the book. To say she was a hypocrite would be putting it nicely. She acted like such a child, tantrums and all. In my opinion she never really made her choice at the end of the 1st book and I feel like nothing Jared could do was right. She doesn't deserve either one of them and I hope she gets what she deserves in the next book...to end up alone. I was so torn for who I wanted her with not any more, Jared and Ollie deserve way better then this wishy washy, tantrum throwing, spoiled, lying, hypocritical little girl known as Layla. Just to add I loved Nick, Eric, Mel, Amy, & Daniel..they helped add some really funny moments in this book especially Nick!

I really love the first book in the series. And I was so excited waiting for this book to come out but I can truly say that this book was just A huge letdown for me. First of all I have to say that Layla came off as a spoiled brat indecisive selfish A hypocrite and a bitch. I feel like she never truly give Jared a chance. She keep on saying how she give up everything to be with him but that wasn't true you can't say you love someone but yet your thinking about someone else. If she truly wanted to be with Ollie why not choose to be with him in the first place, I didn't like how she threw out the words I LOVE YOU all the time does she even know what that mean to be truly in love with someone. Lets no even talk about her friends all they did was talk bad about Jared. To make a long story short This book could've end the way it did and it would've need to be a book 3 she already choose Ollie. Would I read the third book yeah but probably just skip to the end to see what happen but that it.

I had read Bound Together quite a while ago, long before I began regularly writing reviews. But from page 1, Burning Up, had me transported right back to the frustration, anger, and turmoil that was Bound Together.

First of all, this needs to be said, I am Team Ollie! Always have been and always will be!

Layla is young, and so spontaneous. She is still impetuous, leaping without thinking and being led around by her passions. Not to be confused with her heart. This female character is one of the most infuriating to read, because she just never does what you need her to. I believe that Layla is confusing obsession and addiction, for love. Obsession and Addiction is what fuels her decisions and ultimately leads down the wrong path.

Jared is just maddening. He is powerful, stubborn, controlling, obsessive, and stalker-ish. He is sexy, and rich, but he is beyond secretive, and he never learns from his mistakes, because in his mind, they are always justified. He is never wrong, and even when apologizing I could never take him seriously. I hated the power he exerted over Layla, to me it just felt icky.

"Layla, I gave you an instruction. Are you still unable to do as you're told?"

We are left at the end of the last book, knowing that Layla has made her decision and is finally choosing. I was left angry and thinking, "Oh you are going to regret this..."

Jared and Layla's relationship picks up pretty much right where they left off, with one exception. Layla is determined to remain abstinent while they get to know each other, on another level. She is desperate to fix their previous and still simmering issues. Problem is, Layla is never strong enough to resist Jared and his ways. Jared doesn't see that they have a problem. No matter how crazy, and raging she becomes at his controlling, suffocating ways, her resolve flits out the door as soon as he lays his hands on her. As a reader, I found this maddening. The icing on this maddening cake, Layla knows she still loves Ollie!

"Ollie. I felt instantly sick with guilt and I knew it was something I was going to have to grow accustomed to. I'd made my decision and I had to make him my past now."

"My mind wandered to the man I'd left behind. I couldn't help it and I knew that this feeling would not go away quickly. I loved Ollie..."

Ollie is suffering, but we see and hear very little about him in the beginning. When we finally do, he breaks my heart all over again.

"I could never hate you. I wish I could. But the sad and painful fucking truth is that I still love you. I love you so much it's killing me every second that you're not here because I know where you are and whose arms you're in."

Yep, and this is why I am Team Ollie folks!

I never changed my mind once, throughout this entire read. I knew what I wanted and I never waivered. This book was maddening to read, but so incredibly engrossing and consuming, I couldn't bring myself to walk away. I realize the irony in this now, after finishing. Layla and I suffer from the same afflictions.

The author takes a very non-typical approach to this sequel. She is deliberately trying to drive the reader insane. The sex scenes are hot, everything we got in the first book and a little extra thrown in for good measure. I think the reason why I was so enamoured with these two books was simple, I loved the characters, that being said 75% of the time I loved to hate them too. Any book that makes you so enraged that you want to break our e-reader, is in my opinion a great read. It is hard to write this review, because I am trying to avoid spoilers. Rest assured if you enjoyed Bound Together you will enjoy Burning Up. However if you do not enjoy, stories with love triangles, infuriating characters, so much drama your head spins, beware, this one is chocked full of all of the above.

*WARNING* THIS BOOK ENDS, AND A THIRD IS ON THE WAY. THERE IS NO REAL CLIFFHANGER, HOWEVER THIS STORY IS NOT YET FULLY PLAYED OUT! I cannot wait to read the next installment, even though this one made me want to start drinking at 9am in the morning. Congrats to the author, for making me temporarily insane!

4 to 4.5 stars. This book has one hell of a love triangle. I wanted to scream yell and strangle Layla multiple times throughout the whole book. I truly recommend this book just be warned it is not an easy love story it is messy and painful. The only thing that kept this from being a five star book for me was the ending. How can Ollie go on tour with the other girl and leave Layla there?!?!?!? OMG Whats gonna happen next!

Okay so just so you know I am writing my review as I read the book that way I as something happens in the book that I want to talk about I won’t forget what I want to say….good idea huh?
Burning Up….hmmm…where to start….

Firstly I have NEVER been so mad at a character without the character even talking in a book until now. Just Layla mentioning Ollie’s name and I wanted to throw my laptop….Marie what are you doing to my emotions?!?!? Don’t get me wrong it’s not that I don’t like Ollie per say, I just don’t think Layla is right for Ollie but it is slowly getting to the point where I think Jared should just wash his hands of her, because she doesn’t deserve either one especially at the rate she is ticking me off.

Oh and let me just say this…Amy, and Mel need to keep their noses OUT of this love triangle. I get it Layla sending a text to Ollie was wrong on so many levels and I agree she SHOULD have done that face to face but Amy has NO right to judge Layla’s choices. Especially when they (Mel and Amy) knowingly push Ollie to go after Layla KNOWING she CHOSE Jared!

So Layla and Jared sat down for their “talk”…honestly I mean seriously Layla…saying Jared didn’t trust you enough to tell you Lucy was his sister! Come on now do you remember what happened when you knowingly went with Jared’s sister to Felix’s apartment? Do you not remember almost getting raped? And you wonder WHY Jared didn’t want you knowing and trying to stick your nose in and “help” Lucy. Yea I will give you one thing you wanted to help out Lucy, but what part of your plan to NOT tell Jared did you think was safe?!?!?!

This game of abstinence….oh my I really don’t think Layla knows what she has gotten herself into with this game. Jared is just as stubborn if not more so than she is AND he is very conniving (I mean come on he has to be being a businessman), so this whole game is going to be hilarious to see who caves first. My bets are on Layla caving sooner than she wants to…

Layla is being a tease now…I honestly don’t think she knows what she wants, because it’s like she is holding off having sex with Jared because she is still pining over Ollie. It’s to the point where I would rather have her with Ollie because she doesn’t deserve Jared and I honestly don’t think she deserves Ollie either but she is bound to end up with one of them…pun totally intended.
Okay something is shady here….

This story is really ticking me off you can tell Layla doesn’t want to be in New York…if she did she wouldn’t have held off on having sex THAT long with Jared. It’s almost like she isn’t having sex with Jared because she feels guiltier when she does. I also don’t see what the big deal is about Layla going out of the apartment…it there is a GOOD reason then Jared should have told her instead of keeping it a secret. GAH this whole book is just pissing me off and it’s not JUST Layla…Jared is pissing me off just as much if not more in this book (which sucks because Jared is my favorite guy in this series…Ollie is great but there is just something about Jared for me). Oh and what is with Jared’s borderline masochistic sexual tendencies?!?! I’m intrigued to see everything that Jared is hiding about himself…oh yes he is a puzzle and I need to see how he is put together.

.

I seriously think Jared needs to take a few anger management classes because he seems to get overly angry at Layla VERY quickly. He is so hot and cold in this book and I understand with the whole Layla needs to earn his trust back, but thus far she hasn’t done anything to warrant his mistrust since she came to New York. Whereas Jared seems to be keeping things from her left and right.
WHAT?! Layla says Ollie’s name in her sleep…girl was busted for her true feelings and she still can’t admit it to herself. I honestly see both sides of the coin here…it’s not that Jared doesn’t trust HER…he doesn’t trust Ollie and he shouldn’t. Layla needs to realize that not EVERYTHING is about her and to stop being selfish when it comes to certain things. Also Jared has to have faith that Layla won’t put herself into that type of position that would warrant her trust to be in question.

I stood completely floored in the empty kitchen. Did I really say Ollie’s name in my sleep? How could Jared be so upset over something I have absolutely no control over? Okay, granted, if this were the other way around, I would be furious.
Really Layla did you JUST say that?!?!?!Talk about double standards!!!!! OMG…I seriously have NO words for this!!!

Okay this whole Jared gets mad then Layla has to get mad and they give each other the silent treatment is getting to be old hat. I swear Layla does a lot of things on purpose just to get Jared mad, because let’s face it she likes it when he gets mad cause she loves the make-up sex. She was the same with Ollie the only difference is Ollie is less intense than Jared. Ollie holds his anger in check whereas Jared still has an overabundance of anger from his past that I am sure will come into play later at some time.

Please keep in mind when you are reading this review that I am writing it while I’m reading the book so if it seems like I am guesstimating it’s because I am.

GRR…Layla really pisses me off in this series I really just don’t like her at all. I also don’t like Mel or Amy either. Mel and Amy try to stir trouble between Jared and Layla…then they turn it around by saying it’s his fault and that he is to controlling. Granted yes Jared is over protective and Layla knew this going into the relationship but NOW it’s bothering her. I don’t think so…she’s seems to be trying to find an excuse to leave Jared.

“I’m an asshole? That’s rich coming from a cheating, lying, heart stomping whore.”
.

He may have been missing me, but the main reason he wanted me in Paris was so that he could know where I was and who I was with all the time.
Why does it seem like Jared is NOT the only problem here…Layla seems to be projecting her fears onto what she THINKS Jared is doing. Instead of oh I don’t know talking it out like rational adults they stick to assumptions, as I said earlier Layla is looking for any excuse to leave Jared because she feels so guilty for picking one over the other.
I really can’t stand Mel in this series…she talks about Jared controlling Layla, but she does too. She’s trying to control who Layla ends up with…if she wasn’t she wouldn’t have sent Ollie to Europe to try to win Layla back.

“You are what you eat, Layla.”
Oh Jared…NO…you…didn’t….
I HATE how Jared is acting in this book and I honestly think he NEEDS to lose Layla to get his head out of his ass. He is taking advantage of the fact that Layla chose his over Ollie and GAH. I stil love Jared but he’s being an ass and I do think after everything that has happened in this book he needs to lose her in order to see how life really will be living in regret. .

OH MY DAMN!!!!!
.
Oh man shit just got real….

Okay seriously….
.

As much as I feel sorry for Jared that Layla left, it is for his own good…he needs to fix himself before he can fix what he had with Layla. It maybe to late when he does but at least he will know that he tried, even though I still am rooting for Jared I understand why Layla left.
“Hey, it’s none of our business what he does or where he goes. He had business to do there. Besides, you kept telling us how happy you were, but don’t you think we know by now when you’re putting on a brave face? You were miserable and you know it,” Amy snipped.
???? Okay now wasn’t it Mel who said AND I QUOTE, “If you want her Ollie, go get her. Fight for her. Don’t give up. It’s not over until someone says I do.”
Not only that Mel asked Ollie where he was going and he told her Home for Christmas then to and I quote again, “Europe”.
They KNEW he was going to Europe and they both lied and kept that from Layla…they KNEW it would cause her problems and they didn’t care because they want her with who THEY think is better for and they have no regard for how Layla will get hurt in the end of any of this. Bottom line is I can’t stand either Amy or Mel…they put on this whole act like Jared is the only one controlling Layla but they refuse to see they are doing the same thing with who she ends up with.
Taking time to herself is the best thing Layla can do for herself…she needs to be alone to sort out her feelings.

I am so over this triangle…Layla isn’t doing what she set out to do…she isn’t taking time to herself, she is immersing herself in fixing Ollie. She needs time without either one of them right now, the no boyfriend Layla plan is failing miserably because she is to wrapped up in who and what Ollie is doing. Then throw Jared’s incessant calling and she has no time to just be alone.

“No. I want this. I will never regret being with you. Ever.”
Where have I heard that before Layla….HMMM….oh yea you said almost the SAME thing to Jared about 6 hours before you had sex with Jared! There are a few things wrong with this:
1. You JUST had sex with Jared not even 6 hours ago.
2. You DIDN’T even take a show between.
3. You DIDN’T tell Ollie BEFORE he went down on you…that you oh IDK just had unprotected sex with Jared!
4. Your DRUNK!!!
Gah so many issues with this part of the book…for someone who got awfully mad at Ollie when he called you a whore you’re doing a REALLY good job at cementing that statement as a fact.

I KNEW IT!!!
…because I love you and because you love him. You can't always get what you want in life. And sometimes, what you want, what you need the most, you can't have. Because when you really love someone, you'll do anything to stop the pain. Even if it causes you your own"

GARRRRRRR….this book is SO frustrating!

This was a great book even though I was infuriated throughout it, but I am a sucker for book that make me feel so emotional I want to throw things…and this series does that.
I still don’t like Mel and Amy…maybe in the next book that will change. I kinda love Nick’s character he makes me laugh with how crude he is and I would LOVE to see Nick fall head over heels for some girl…he needs to feel lovesick for once.

Okay with that said here are a few of my thoughts on this book:

I can’t wait until Coming Down comes out as well as Jared’s novella…I’m excited to see what’s next for Jared and his adventures. I also want to know about the damn ring!
I also want to thank Marie Coulson for writing yet ANOTHER book that made me want to throw my laptop across the room at times. :)

For anyone wanting to read this book but are afraid of how it ends…even if your Team Jared (which I am) or Team Ollie this ending souldn’t make you upset. Layla I feel made the best choice she could and she made the choice with her whole heart, even if it’s not who you choose for her…

OMG this TRIANGLE pulled my heart out!! And then put it back together! Layla made me crazy, but GAWD this story is so full of angst and passion!! I loved all of it!!!!

“I’ve missed you so much. When you left that day, I thought I’d never hold you in my arms, feel your body against mine, kiss these lips, or hear the sound of your voice ever again. I’ve been living in hell without you. You’re my angel, and I can’t find heaven without you.”

Talk about a triangle that will slowly pull your chest open and expose your heart to all of the elements of the poisonous world, Sheesh! This series has captured my heart and attention since I read Bound Together about a year ago! And I was so happy to see the release of Burning Up! The story of Layla, Jared, and Ollie will consume you in every way possible. I went through so many emotions reading this beautifully written sequel. I’ve been on team _____ for so long, for a whole year! And NO I won’t tell you if it was Jared or Ollie, but I will say this. I changed teams!! I never thought that I would, but Marie writes this story in such a way, that it makes both logical and heartfelt sense! And yes my heart is sort of broken, but also kind of mended at the same time if that makes any sense.

“I would never forget him. I couldn’t. I was still in love with him.”

From the minute I started this book a smile was spread across my face just for the pure fact of getting back to these three intriguing people. I knew it wouldn’t be a simple story, but I didn’t realize that it would be so all encompassing. Layla goes through so many emotions revolving around what she thinks she wants, and what is actually good for her. And I began to soften to the idea that what was good for her, was to just be alone. I knew that wouldn’t happen as that wouldn’t have been conducive to the story, but at one point I was so torn that maybe I would have accepted it. There are so many things that I want to tell about what happens!! But I just can’t for the sake of not spoiling the story!

“You hold another man in your heart, and I have to accept it and thank God everyday that you’re here with me, while worrying that it’s not where you want to be.”

So I can’t say what happens, but I will say that Jared pissed me off quite a bit in this sequel. He’s overbearing, possessive, and maybe a little crazy. And to be honest that normally doesn’t bother me, but since I have such a fondness for him, I believe I was more disappointed in him. I really feel like I know these characters, so when one does something stupid I’m really affected. And don’t get me wrong Layla has her fair share of stupid moments as well. And Ollie was just a breath of fresh air like usual. So yeah to say I was torn is a major understatement! Layla makes a choice, but obviously that choice will always be tested by her undying love for the other guy! In true love triangle fasion, and I LOVED it! Still love it! This story won’t leave my head for a while, and I’m pretty sure that by the time the ending came, I was content… I think. I mean I’m not really sure how I feel completely. HA! Well at least I know that there will be more of Layla’s story to come in 2014 with Coming Down (Bound Together #3) And I cannot wait for that!

“Don’t deny it. I saw the way your eyes gazed at me as I backed you against that wall. The way your body trembled as mine got closer and closer. Or the way you licked your lips, begging and enticing me to kiss them. You can’t hide it, Layla. Your whole body screams that you want me, even if you try to convince yourself that you don’t.”

So I've been waiting of this book for months. Loved the first one and just couldn't wait to get my hand on the second. Honestly I will have to say I was not disappointed. Layla seems to have gotten things figured out , but things just keep spiraling out of control. Her relationship with Jared is not what she was hoping for. When she discovers her feelings for Ollie are still strong, she learns not to deny them any longer. After the last straw with Jared she soon follows her heart, and it leads her back to the messed up rocker whose heart she broke.
My feelings and Jared: Since Bound Together I have been Team Jared all the way. It's not the money or his good looks(cause Ollie got the looks too). It's the way he will do anything and everything to make sure the love of his life is safe. He loves so fiercely that he basically is running Layla away. Every time she leaves him my heart just breaks. He loves her so much, she is his air he breaths to survive. Yes he can be controlling with stalker tendencies, but with what happened to Layla in the first book can you really blame the guy. She is his world. Without her he cannot live. Jared will always be my number 1.
My feelings about Ollie: Who doesn't love this rocker bad boy with a heart of gold. He's hot and he has a fucking lip ring. Helloooo!!!! He loves Layla so much, but she ripped is heart out and stepped on it he really doesn't know how to act. He is broken and lost and doesn't know which way is up. The poor guy is going through loving someone and thinking that person doesn't love them back and that is just brutal. Though I love Jared, Ollie has a special place in my heart as well.
My feelings about the whole thing: Yes I love Jared but I will admit he pissed me off more than once. Like hello stop with the secrets already. And I know you love the girl but let the woman breath for the love of pie. The double standards Jared and Layla played with the whole book gave me a migraine. They both need therapy if you ask me. As for Ollie, get over it already. She broke up with you through a damn text message. Said she loved you and then ran across the country. Come on man grow a pair. You are hot, sexy, and a rock god MOVE ON!!!! Let's just say these three frustrated the hell out of me. I love both men, but if I haven't mentioned it enough I'm Team Jared.
My hope for the last book: I hope Jared is not gone for good. I need him back and I need him to still have a chance to win back the point of his existence. As for Ollie I want his career to take off and for him to find someone who he realizes he loves more than Layla. I guess what I'm saying is I want Layla to see she actually really loves Jared and for them to end up together. However, cause I love Ollie, he needs to find happiness as well.

Not sure if this rambling got to my point. Which is I loved the book and am counting the days till the 3rd one releases. Lol
Good job Marie. You did great.

This book really got on my nerves.. I loved book one and the Ollie book the 1.5 it was short but it was good.. this one however pissed me off a bit. I mean don’t get me wrong it was hot reading about Jarred and Layla’s sexcapades and all and I do love a good love triangle but come on enough is enough. The story picked up where book one left us. Layla has flew to NY to be with the one she choose. She picked Jarred over Ollie so she is going to be with him. One in NY she quickly finds that that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

First of all she shouldn’t have left things with Ollie the way she did. She should have worked that issue out before she halled ass to follow Jarred. She was wrong for that shit. I mean really she gave the dude a chance, slept with him, fell in love with him, and cheated on him with Jarred. He forgave her took her back then she leaves him in a text for Jarred. She was a total bitch for that. Once she is in NY she is lonely and is away from her family and friends she’s lonely because Jarred is off working making millions. So she throws fit after fit about this. They travel back and forth from Europe, NY, and LA within the time of the book. The whole time Layla and Jarred are together the only time they are not fighting is when they are having make up sex.

Layla knows that she loves Jarred and that he loves her but they both know that she still loves Ollie. But Oille is bitter as hell he is pissed and he should be he had is heartbroken via text message. Things get a little crazy for Jarred and Layla and she runs like she always does. This time she happens to run into Ollie and he lets her have it. Ollie is still heartbroken but his band DOA is doing well and they are getting picked up by a label. He is also going through so things with his parents. I don’t want to tell any more but I will say that Layla got on my dam nerves with the going back and forth with Ollie and Jarred in this one it was bad. I really do belive that she loved both men yea its possible to love more than one man at a time. But I think that her relationship with Jarred was messed up. If loving someone causes up more pain than happiness its not worth it. If loving someone hurts its not worth it. If being with that person makes you a crazy mess its not worth it and that’s just what she has with Jarred. But with Ollie she was able to be herself she was able to be a 20yr old college student with no worries.

In the end I think they all relived it. So she has to make another choice in the end and this one I think is the right one but I also think that she is going to get what she did to those guys back tenfold. As much as she got on my nerves I still want to know what happens, I want to know how things end for her. So I am looking forward to the next book.

Oh my god. Wow! Five flaming stars for the second book in the Bound Together Series. Marie just blew me away with this one. I anxiously awaited this book for months and it did not disappoint.
After choosing Jared over Ollie in the first book, Layla Jennings starts a new life with her one true love, or so she thinks. Jared may be sex on a stick and a walking money bag, but does he really have all Layla needs?
"You're my angel, and I can't find heaven without you." Swoon. Jared definitely has a way with words. It seems as though all Layla and Jared do, though, is fight and fuck. Layla still has feelings for Ollie even though all she's trying to do is forget him.
"It was selfish and though I had chosen not to be with him, I didn't want anyone else to have him." Jared sends Layla back to L.A. while he goes to Paris for business. He reminds her before he leaves, "You belong to me, Layla."
While in L.A. she runs into Ollie. Hurting, he teases her and then walks away, leaving her hurting even more. Mel and Amy finally get through to her, that Jared isn't right for her. She realizes he's controlling, constantly lying and hiding things. She still goes to London, though, because she believes that if she can convince him to go to therapy, things can be fixed.
When Layla goes to his office, she finds more than she bargained for. She finds out that Jared has been hiding the fact that Alicia Felix is claiming to be pregnant, and Jared is the father. After a heated confrontation in his office, Layla storms out and finds Ollie in a coffee shop. He convinces her to return to L.A. with him, but that doesn't mean she's ready to jump right back into the relationship with him.
Finally Layla decides what she wants, and as she travels to New York, things take a turn for the worse. Her life is in danger and both men try to save her, but one ends up taking a turn for the worse.
"Love is a trip across an ocean. It's an entire book of songs. It's that burning passion and intense anger that only love can cause. It's an unbearable and agonizing pain, but you can't help but cherish every single moment because for the first time, you actually feel something so powerful."
I am 100% in love with Oliver Green. I would play his instrument any time, if you know what I mean. Whether you're team Jared or team Ollie, you won't be disappointed with this book. Let's just say, my B.O.B. felt the love after all of this was over.

Bound Together ended with Layla deciding if she wanted to be with sexy, tattooed, lip ringed, motorbike riding, rock god, Ollie. Or with sexy, hot, dominant, millionaire, Jared.
She chose Jared and absolutely broke Ollie's heart via a text message.

Ollie is a mess, he has tried to move on but he is so desperately missing her and so in love with her still. He has the wonderful support of their mutual friends Mel, Amy, Nic & Eric.

Layla is now in New York living with Jared, she wishes for nothing, except to spend time with him and sightsee the city she now lives in. Jared is very controlling and has all these rules to 'keep her safe.' He is very serious for such a young guy and she wishes he would remember how young he was and just loosen up a bit. He does love her though.

Layla just does not seem to be happy, at all. She loves Jared and wants to make this relationship work but she still carries around the guilt of what she did to Ollie and frequently thinks about him.

The sex is intense and incredible between Jared and Layla but it seems that is all they have in common, when they are not arguing they are fucking each other senseless.

Layla doesn't seem to trust Jared and seems to have this ability to jump to the biggest and worst conclusions which causes huge problems between them.

Is this the life she invisioned when she got on that plane back to Jared?

There is a tipping point for Layla which leads her back to her hometown and her old group of friends, including Ollie. She really misses her easy, fun and happy lifestyle that had none of the complications she has found being in a relationship with Jared. Apart from Ollie, who is a complete arse to her when she returns, she is beginning to feel like her old self again.

So should she stay or should she go?

I really enjoyed this and eagerly await the third instalment of this intriguing story.

I waited for over a year to get this second book for this series and it didn't disappoint! I felt drained from the last book from every emotion I felt and how many tears I cried. Yeah I know, the "Bitch" as a heart. Shocking I know.

I'm not sure if this will remain how the story it going to continue with the confession that Layla will wait for Ollie and that he is the Man that she wants and needs in her life. Would I prefer to see this stay? Yeah but only cuz I'm a sucker for a Man who can write songs of how he feels about me and what I mean to him. And a Ducati Monster is a beautiful bike and the thunder between your le....but I digress. Ollie is grounded and hasn't had an easy life but neither did Jared. And I think that is the reason he is so protective of Layla. Having her almost die because of his enemy will bring that out in a Man. Don't get me wrong, I'm drawn to Jared too but for totally different reasons and nothing has to do with the money. I want to know where the ring is that Jared did by for Layla though as it was mentioned and it was never put back on her finger. I don't think that the story of Layla and Jared is over. I think that while Ollie is on the road and singing the music he wrote about Layla and for her that Jared will come back to California a totally different Man.

I look forward to this next book and hopefully I'll be really hydrated because this book has left me drained as well. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Marie, please don't ever stop writing.

I give this book 3.5 stars... Let's start with I'm team Jared 110%.. Ollie is nice but I'm sorry something about Jared I just can't stop loving him. I loved book 1, in fact I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait for the 2nd installment but as I started reading it Layla just kept making me so mad beyond a sane level. I stopped reading this book for days, I even read 2 books in between and I never do that, once I start a book I finish it before starting another. Layla is so childish i wanted to scream at the shit she does omg!!! Her temper tantrums wore me down. I hate this indecisive childish behavior and some of her excuses are so lame... Sorry but I hope Ollie bangs this chick on tour! I'm glad Jared is getting his shit in order and giving himself a chance to be young. Layla will be banging on Jared's door sooner or later I hope she grows up soon! I started off liking Mel and Amy but I think they meddle to much in stuff that's not their business and that irritates me. I liked Daniel and Lucy as well. Layla's parent seem to be team Jared at least I think so her mom seems to think that Jared is the one for IMHO. I guess I'll wait to see the ending of this story, I hope it's Layla and Jared who get their happy ending.

Layla had to finally choose between the two men that she loved. Jared is the one she has chosen.

When she leaves behind her family and friends to live with Jared, Layla is excited. Jared is everything she has ever wanted. He is gorgeous, sweet, and overly protective. The sex with him is erotic and sensual in ways she has never experienced before.

Constant lies broke them up the first time so it is going to be tough to get back on the right path.

Ollie still loves Layla and isn’t going away anytime soon. He is going to fight to get her back with everything that he has.

This author sure knows how to write a love triangle. I really thought Layla picked the wrong guy. Jared may be gorgeous and awesome at sex, but he was too controlling and had a horrible temper. Layla is a bit too naïve for me. She put herself in the position she is in and I sometimes have trouble feeling sorry for her.

The author has left us with a bit of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read more and see if Layla and Ollie can make it work after everything that has happened and if Layla has truly let go of Jared.

12/11/14: Ok. I cheated and read the spoilers and thank gosh I read it. So nope..not going to read the last 2 books since my guy didn't get the girl. I will not buy the love story between Layla and you know who. It just makes no sense to me when she's so passionate and has shit ton of chemistry with the other!!!

11/04/13: I decided to postpone this book until the final book comes out. I came across a spoiler and I am not too happy with who she ended up with in this book. I know I'll get back to this series eventually, but for now...no thanks. I rather not put myself through misery with the way Layla behaves and thinks. She is worst than Kiera from Thoughtless!!!!

For some reason I wasn't impressed with the story... Writing was great but the plot was blah.. Jared and his secrets were annoying and the arguments with Layla were childish. I seriously wanted to punch both of them in the face..

love it !

The classic girl has to make choice between two guys! At times you find yourself rolling your eyes at the main character Layla, but, in the end.. the book finishes and you find your self smiling. Bring on book 3! Now it’s getting good!
