But things turn from good to bad when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, and the only person that can help them is a creepy looking stranger who goes by the name Tom. Dez is forced into an impossible situation and has to use his street smarts if he hopes to get his family out alive. About the author

A native of Harlem, New York, Silk White began his writing career in 2006.

He is the author of the Urban Fiction series Tears of a Hustler & Co-Owner of Good2go Publishing and Good2Go Films.

Silk has No Way Out and Black Barbie film credits under Good2Go Films and in his spare time, loves to write and act.

He is currently producing a new movie and is hard at work on his next novel.

Wow, I didn’t think that I would like Dez, however; by the end of the book, I was rooting for him. Dez and family go on a road trip. That trip is life-changing for the whole family. This book is about family; what would you do to save those you loved, and how far would or could you go. Stranded makes you ask those questions and more; at least it made me ask questions.

I don’t write nor know how to write fancy reviews. If I knew how I would for this book. This is one that I will purchase for my home library and place it beside my man Donald Goines. This book surprised me in a good way.

This book was a page turner, totally unexpected and worth every star given. Silk White you did your thing with this book. A great mystery with twist and turns. This book has you in edge, talking out loud and wanting to help the characters in so many ways. If you haven't read it you should.

Fans of suspense will love this book and if you have never read a suspense novel, start with Stranded by Silk White. Stranded is a page-turning thriller that tells the story of the Barkley family. It starts off with Dez Barkley finally being released from prison after doing a long ten-year bid. A lot has changed since he has been locked up. His son Lil Dezzy has gotten bigger and is now a 12-year boy. His daughter Trina who was once daddy's little girl is now a 16-year-old with no love for her father. She blames him for her mom struggling for the past ten years of his arrest. Upon his release, Dez and Trina immediately bump heads. His wife Pam suggest the family take a road trip to Disney World. She figures that would give Dez and Trina a chance to bond. Sounds good in theory but in the world of suspense thrillers, nothing is ever good as it sounds. They come across Tom and his wife and their band of ruthless killers. Tom and his wife have a hatred for all things black. Hunting black people is a sport to them. Dez and his family are stranded on the side of the road and Tom comes along and offers his assistance to the family. He offers to fix their truck the following day and even lets them stay the night in his home. This mistake is one that Dez will regret after he finds out exactly what Tom and his wife are about. He realizes they are not the good samaritans he thought they were and finds out the ultimate truth, that this family is ruthless and sadistic. Stranded will literally have you on the edge of your seat as Dez struggles to keep his family safe. This book is full of so much drama and suspense. I enjoyed this novel except for the ending that could have ended differently in my opinion but overall a good read and I give Stranded by Silk White 4 stars.

Dez is fresh out of prison from doing a ten year bid,he is anxiously waiting to be reunited with his family. Dez soon realizes things aren't the same with his kids.As the tension runs high in Dez's household, his wife decides that a road trip would bring forth more harmony within the family.During the road trip, the car experience mechanical trouble and breaks down and they become STRANDED,that sets off a sequence of events that are just jaw dropping.

Wow!!! this story reads like an action-packed movie,Action and suspense on every page until the end.The way the scenes unfolded were breath taking.This book will take you on an emotional roller-coaster and have you screaming out loud.Silk White has penned yet another hit that should be turned into a movie.

This is by far one of the best books I've read this year. From the first page it grabbed my attention. It had me all up in my feelings; so many different emotions. This was definitely a different direction for Silk White and it was a brilliant one. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Definitely worth recommending!

Now this book made me mad! In a good way though! Like how the hell & why would people do some of the things the family did in this book baffles me. I was truly talking trash while reading like "you idiot!" "run!" & etc. This is definitely a must read!

OFTEN TIMES SILK WHITE'S BOOKS READ AS THOUGH THEY WERE FILMS. WHILE READING THIS BOOK I WENT THROUGH A MIRIAD OF FEELINGS ON WHAT WAS TO OCCUR NEXT & WHICH CHARACTERS WOULD DIE, WOULD THEY MAKE IT OUT ALIVE & GET WHERE THEY WERE GOING, I LIKED IT ALOT.
THIS BOOK KIND OF REMINDED ME A LITTLE OF A FILM TITLED "VACANCY" IWTH LUKE WILSON & KATE BECKINSALE.

Like a movie

This book was lit from beginning to end. Kept me on my toes and guessing what was going to happen next. Dez did what he had to do to survive and proved that only the strong survive. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. I'm currently looking through my kindle for more books by this author. Loved it

Oooooh SHIIIIIT!! I have never been so scared,excited, mad,and elated in one damn book reading!! Geez Silk you really captivated me!! This was gruesome and hard to stomach, but it was worth the churn in my gut, and the rapid cessation of my heartbeat!! I can't believe they killed so many minorities like that. And the sad thing, this story is on some real basis. Cause this is history of our people being preyed, hunted, and tortured for centuries!! I ain't never wanted to jump in a book and kill someone so bad!! I wanted Tom,Ann,The KKK squad, The sheriff, even Nick DEAD TO SUFFER HORRIBLE FATES!! This was the best work I've read from you. I see you!!

Stranded was a well written story I will give the author that but all the violence and the gorge that went into this book was over the top for me. The Storyline could have been developed just a little bit more for me. Stranded was full of hate and racism that you could bot believe to torture someone because the color of their skin in cruel and unusual punishment. I am glad how the story ended. I would recommend this book to anyone that is into Horror, Suspense and more …..

What can I say? This book brought out a lot of emotions for me. I was really disturbed by Tom and his crew. They got everything they deserved. These family suffered at the hands of such cruel people without knowing by just being nice and needed a little help would have cause them their death. Silk White did a banging job!

Stranded by Silk White started off as a very good read. This book had drama, action, and originality. however, even with all of that the book fell flat towards the end. a few of the characters actions were unbelievable and I couldn't picture it happening. also I was not a fan of the author writing himself in the book. I would be willing to give the author another try. 3.5/4
