Queens of Khula City #2

Queen of Made Men

Rate this book
Mafia Men speak only one language--power. So I got fluent, fast. And now, I can't get enough.

Soldier, Gatt, King, and Spectre--the Kings of Khula City.

This city is theirs, and they haven't let anyone forget it in the five years they've been here, least of all my father. Their reputation is enough to make a grown man tremble, and they're nothing to be trifled with. So my father does the unthinkable--sells me to the Fiero Mafia Family to gain himself an army.

Too bad the Kings have other plans.

I've become their newest bargaining chip in the precarious battle for the city, kidnapped from a wedding I already planned to skip out on. I've got a little secret, though--I was raised to be ruthless, and soon enough, I'll find their weaknesses and use them to my advantage. These men exude danger and violence, but deep down, I've always been a little twisted myself, and I'd have to be dead to not be attracted to them. Using my body to work a target isn't new to me, but the way their forbidden touches light me on fire threatens to destabilize my plans. I'll take the pleasure they offer as their syndicate crumbles, but I'm not here to stay.

I'll take this city back from my father and brother, and I don't need a King to rule it--this queen's doing just fine on her own.

This book is a part of the Queens of Khula City series but can be read as a standalone. It also contains topics and themes that may not be suitable for all readers due to their dark connotations, such as cursing, dub- and non- con, bullying, violence, murder, gore, blood and knife play, kidnapping, emotional and physical abuse, and more.

Heleva Risque is not afraid to get her hands dirty, and neither are the heroes she writes. From complete alphaholes to grumpy, brooding bad boys, and everything in between, her heroes are walking red flags and trauma-filled shells of their former selves, but by the end of each story, not only will you want to cry for these wounded, unhinged men, but you'll be crawling into their beds, begging to be their good girls.
And you'll love every minute of it.
Ms. Risque has several series on the docket, including her leading mafia romance series, the Khula City Crime Syndicate, and a standalone, one-shot romance so dark, so filthy, so sinful, that you'll need the confessional on Sunday to cleanse your soul.
If you've got a kindle reads list that would make conversations at Thanksgiving dinner awkward, you're in the right place.

Renata and her Men are Swoon!

I think this book has one of the fiercest FMC I have ever read and loved. What she endured and overcame to survive is truly inspirational. This is a dark read and parts of the book are not easy to get through but it is such an amazing read! These men set off trying to manipulate a situation and end of finding the piece that truly binds them together. This book is hot, it’s wild and is a great read!

This was a new to me author and although this book is part of a series it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book, Renata is such a strong FMC, she may be slightly unhinged but it’s not her fault she’s that way. After all she has been through I love how despite being jaded she slowly allows her men into her life. The tension between them is amazing and when they finally all give in it is explosive. These men will do anything to give their Queen the world! Looking forward to reading more from this series.

Part of the Syndicate Queens of Khula City it can be read as a standalone but to better understand I would recommend reading the first book in the series but like any of our mafia stories hang on and double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love (ALL THINGS TO EXPECT FROM THE MAFIA WORLD). By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! CAN’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!!!!!. Renata born into an Italian mafia family taught to be quiet, pretty, one day be married off to the man her father chooses for her or the highest bidder to make the family more powerful but she is no wallflower she has other plans for her life, plans that include taking over for her father running the family taught herself to be ruthless, to fight not just for protection, and her skill set came in handy when she saved her father’s life of course he was upset won’t admit it nor will he ever allow the world know she is skilled. But her brother and her uncle are a little scary they both want to abuse her in every way which is just nasty not only that they are both a tab bit violent, a whole lot of crazy, and extremely abusive towards her and most women. Upon finding out her father is offering her up in marriage to an old mob boss for power and connections she knows it is time to take matters into her own hands and take control of the family but of course things do not go as planned or do they actually go as wrong because when she is kidnapped by her four Kings well lets say this is where you need to make sure you are bucked up for real because in steps four sexy as all get out broken, dark kidnapers Kings Soldier, Spectre, Gatt each with their own issues, ruthless every day, violent every day, deadly most days, and not to be messed with. Each comes with a different talent charming, womanizer, dark, dominant, control, and why not throw in OCD but will our girl be able to get hem to work together for her purpose, will they be loyal to her, will she take over her family business as planned, will she marry the old boss as her father planned, will her uncle, her brother have their way in hurting her or will her boys keep her protected, will we finally get to see a QUEEN take over since it is always a KING, and is there some form of happiness written for the five of them considering they make each other one complete whole?

Be sure to read trigger warnings!!

Why choose
Mafia romance
Mmmmf
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Renata is the mafia princess of the Rossi family who suffers life long abuse from her brother and rest of her family, especially after the suicide of her mother. Her father the head of the enterprise sells her off to Carmine the head of an old country Italian Mafia syndicate. These men view their women like cattle, property to just sell off, for their own personal gain. Renata isn't like most sniveling women like they expect her to be. When the Kings, a rival group, kidnap Renata they come to see this fiery FMC for who she truly is. She in turn sees a side of Soldier, Spectre, Gatt, and King that most others wouldn't or never have.

Heleva created a fierce FMC that was not afraid to stand toe to toe with the biggest and the baddest. I love the fact that she wasn't a damsel in distress, waiting for a man to rescue her.

The four MMCs (Kings) we're all from different backgrounds, that spoke different languages. One part of this book that did bother me was there is multiple different languages in it that a lot of times the translator couldn't pick up or figure out.

They are very explicit scenes making this book is definitely a 18+ reader.

This book was hot and I really appreciated the translations in the back. It was a good book but definitely check the trigger warnings there is no consent in this book. It was worth the wild emotional Rollercoaster. Had me wanting more and loved all of the men in the reverse harem. A continuation of your soon to be favorite mafia city Khula City.

To say this book was a ruthless tale of revenge is putting it mildly.
Renata's character was written with so many layers to her. Such a strong willed Bad-a**ed woman who suffered through so much but rose above it time and time again. The last time with the help of her Kings.
You truly have to love the turn around this book takes as Renata's feelings change for each of the Kings one on one.
This was a Dark steamy wild Read! If you love Dark Dark Revenge stories you'll love this one. **Make sure to read those Trigger Warnings Folks**.

This was a roller coaster ride of amazingness. If you like mafia romance, that is dark, and why I choose this book right here is for the win. The main girl character is considered a mafia princess, who is so abused during the whole entire book that her willingness to survive is amazing. the four kings I fell in love with each of them at different times in the book with how they cared for her. They were parts that made me. Cry made me laugh made me mad. I never knew what was gonna happen next truly amazing.

This book was a chef's kiss. 5 stars no doubt. This book was full of action, steam, plot, and twists. I love Renata and her persona. I loved her from start to finish. The men. I love how Heleva broke the characters into their individual self and it tied all their personas around Renata. I loved everything about this book and I can't wait for the next to come! I totally recommend this read!

This had a good plot… but it being a reverse harem I was expecting a lot more spice. Stuff just kept happening & kept happening. I feel like the story should’ve chilled a tad bit to work on their relationships. It was kind of weird too being a why choose & pretty much all of them not wanting to share until like 98% into the book 😅

A fantastically twisted tale of delicious Mafia men and a take no crap from anyone FMC. Renata is a kick a&& FMC who takes charge and gets stuff done. If you love Mafia men, hard core FMC, and a deliciously twisted tale this is the book for you!

3,5-4 ⭐️

It started out amazing! The characters and it was much darker than the previous in queens of khula but i feel like king did not grovel or apologize for the rape and torture he caused and that his refusal to listen when she came back caused everything which I also felt like it was poor/lazy writing choice after about half of the book. It also has the same relationship basis with the personalities and behavior as previous books in the series

I have to say this as I was blindsided by the content around 64% into the book please please be mindful going into this book if you have any triggers concerning 🍇 I do not have triggers but I had to pause the book for a bit. It’s dark it’s rough and I think I was just so attached to the character it affected me harder than normal.

That being said this was probably my favorite in this series! I loved all the characters even when I hated their actions at times. FMC is a baddie and off the rocker at the end lol but in all the best ways.

It didn't have to be as long as it was. It included a MMMMF relationship, which i am not really into. It also included rape. There was no trigger warning page and I had to skip like 3 chapters.

This book definitely hits different than the previous books in this series. These books are standalone. There are a few differences to previous characters but not enough that these books can’t be read as a standalone. Renata Rossi knows that the Rossi empire should be hers. Her being a woman makes the outcome unlikely. She was always to be used as a pawn for political gains or a strategic alliance. She took everything her brother Benni threw at her. No matter how cruel. Renata was a fighter and refused to show weakness. Especially at her wedding to a horrible man.

Renata was beautiful and she would be a good pawn to get what the Kings needed from the Rossi’s. Arthur, the de facto leader of the Kings, knows now that Renata will be a great bargaining chip. His rag-tag family is made up of Soldiers, GATT and Spectre. With no real leader, Renata is able to see their weaknesses. She decides it’s better join them. She can lead them to help her take over the Rossi family empire.

Renata is the most unhinged of all the women we have met so far in this series. I loved every minute of it. She is a queen before anyone could make her one. Will the Kings let the queen take her throne? I am loving the strong, feisty characters in this series. I can’t imagine who can follow Renata Rossi.

One word: Fantastic!!! I loved this book. The spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ The men 🥵😍From the characters to the story, the romance to the action. It had it all. The book does deal with some hard topics and triggers so reader beware, but the author handled it all as best you can and through in revenge and it was chef kiss. Love the is author and the way she writes. If you haven’t read her books do, I high suggest adding them to your TBR lists, and of course this book 5/5 highly recommend!

The Kings are determined to be the ruling crime syndicate of Khula City which means they need to make sure the Rossi’s know their place. Renata Rossi is made be just another pawn for her father and brother to use. So things shift when a marriage is arranged between Renata and the head of another crime family from Italy.

Renata is looking for a way out and a way to take over even if it means taking everyone else down to get there. While King and his men are looking for a way to gain the advantage. That all comes together when Renata makes moves at the wedding to show her soon-to-be husband how she really feels about the situation and King steps in the snatch her away to use as leverage.

Renata proves over and over again that she's not to be underestimated and that these men really should be listening to what she has to say. She suffers so much abuse at the hands of her family but remains strong through it all, even if she does have her psycho moments.

Together they all build unique connections and bonds in different ways. Renata definitely keeps them on their toes. And the chemistry is undeniable. I loved this story and am definitely looking forward to what's next for Khula City.

Heleva Risque has done it again. She is such an amazing writer and just has some of the best dark romance mafia reverse harem books i have ever read. They are always dark, dangerous, spicy and keep you intrigued and in the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Renata is a badass mafia princess. Her brother the "heir" is one of the biggest P.O.S. her father arranges her marriage to an even more evil human being. Until the enemies "The Kings" infiltrate an event where Renata ends up kidnapped. But she is mouthy and sassy and gives these men a run for their money. She may be more dangerous and ruthless then they are. She is ready to take her place as the head of her family

King, Soldier, Spectre and Gatt are very different from one another and i love that they don't follow the typical mafia hierarchy. Will they team up with Renata so everyone gets their revenge or will they go their separate ways and rule separately.

Super excited to finish this series i can chastened l guarantee they are all gonna be amazing books

Do you love mafia men and the women who fall for them?? If you answered yes than this book is for you. While you can read this story as a standalone I do recommend reading the first book before this one that way you will get a bit more of the back ground. There are trigger warnings so be sure to check those out before beginning and one thing I loved about this story is that there is translations provided at the back of the book.

Second in the Syndicate Queens of Khula City series by Heleva Risque. This is another very dark romance reverse harem/why choose story about Renata Rossi her four Kings. That’s the simple summary.

Heleva is never simple. The first book was an appetizer, this one, it’s a full on 7 course meal. When you leave the table you’ll be so full it will give you dreams, good and bad, of the meal you just inhaled. Because you will inhale it! You won’t be able to stop yourself. I stayed up until 7am reading this book just so I could finish it. It about wrecked me. You think mafia dark smutty romance, and you would be right and wrong. It is so much more than that. When I put it down, I felt like I had a mental and emotional hangover. Heleva is just that good at what she does.

Renata is a flawless black diamond. You don’t realize the fire it has until the light hits it, it’s beautiful but is capable of cutting deeply. Raised in a mafia family, she’s always been told her one job was to be silent and pretty, that eventually her father would marry her to the highest bidder in an effort to make the family more powerful. But Renata has other plans for herself, she’s learned to be ruthless, she’s trained her entire life. She knows how to fight, she’s made! Something her father is not proud of and refuses to let anyone know about because she saved his life. Her younger brother has always been obsessively jealous, incestuously so, and is violently abusive, her uncle is a violent pervert who always try to get her alone so he can abuse her as well. She’s learned to say nothing about the abuse, to never cry, it only makes it worse.

When she finds out her father is selling her to (marrying) to an old world Italian mob boss for power and connections. She decides it’s time to take control of her life, and the Rossi organization as well. Everything goes wrong and that is where the story begins. You don’t get any spoilers from me. I’ve already told you it’s full of hot smutty sex, nasty violent men, violent criminals, what more do you need to know?

Her four kings. King, Soldier, Spectre, Gatt, are all men of violent pasts and present. Each of them have their own hidden traumas to bring to the table. Gatt is the sweet charming one, with hidden depths you can drown in. Spectre is the sexy bad boy man whore, who will kill you with a thousand cuts. Soldier, he’s dark and dominant, he won’t fool around, he’ll either snap your neck and walk away or beat you to your bloody death. King, he’s OCD, because without everything in its place he fears he’ll lose control, and losing control is very very ugly and dangerous, almost as dangerous as King.

Renata is a Queen, and Queens don’t need men to save them. But four broken Kings just might need a Queen to save them.
