Olin has fought her entire life to become an alpha leader and the best hunter of her tribe. Called a half breed from the early age she used her superior abilities to prove she belonged. When elders choose her to be the tribe's only hope for survival, she is sent on the most dangerous mission of her life. Ready to do anything to save her people, Olin pushes through her darkest fears. That is until she encounters something scarier than death itself. Facing incredible odds, how far can she go with her tribe's survival on the line?
I don't really understand this book. Olin is a half breed human it seems but everything is a bit vague. The sexual encounter with the dragonish man is interesting but no passion. Perhaps the next book goes into detail but I wasn't hooked.
Very short story, feels like a part 1 but I don't see it saying so...
I was left with a very anti-climactic feeling of ' and this is it'? I wanted to like it as I saw some interesting internal conflict on Olin as you worries that as the tribes best hunter she should have stayed home to provide food, but someone needed to go out and find out where the herds have gone.
I was pointed to this story having been told it was a Romance, but it was actually the non-romance portion of the story that worked better for me, and in some respects I wished it had been fleshed out and marketed under a different genre.
Glad this was free - other than wasting my time, I'm glad it didn't cost me anything else. Poorly written, the characters lacking personality, and the storyline was bland and flat. An almost prehistoric tribal tale about a half-breed warrior/shifter girl going out on her own and encountering other amphibious shifter types. Ending with a weird sexual encounter. Not what was anticipated by title & description.
This is a total waste of time. It has no plot and then it just ends with no idea of what just happened. I gave it one because you have to in order to get your rating posted. But if I could have I would have given it a minus 10.
