At 24, Mallory Leyton didn’t expect to still be living in the same house she grew up in, but ever since her mother’s Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis, that’s exactly where she’s been.

The last thing on her mind is love, but that’s what she finds with Ryan Scott on the beaches of her native Kennebunkport, Maine. There’s something mysterious about Ryan though and when she finds out what he’s been keeping from her, she wonders if a future is even possible for them.

If it were up to Cole Hollins, her close friend and former flame, Ryan would’ve been out of the picture before he even entered it. Cole’s never given up hope of rekindling the romance he and Mallory once shared and neither has Mallory’s mother. If it were up to Claire Leyton, her daughter would marry into the elite Kennebunkport society Cole belongs to, and Ryan wouldn’t even be an option.

Just as things seem to be falling into place, Mallory is forced to make a choice that ultimately changes her life forever.

Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell is a new adult romance book that will pull you in from the first word. This author has become one of my favorite authors. I know exactly what I am in for when I pick up one of her books, a journey with a few twists. Her writing style is such that she will pull you and keep you reading until the last page. Her attention to details make you feel like you are right there with the characters. Her characters are creative, connectable, lovable and true to life. In this story she will take you on a journey of making choices and living with the consequences, good or bad. This is the story of Mallory. Mallory had plans for her future until her mother got sick and she moved back home to help care for her. She works at a local hospital in the ER and has put her dreams on the back burner for the moment. She meets Ryan in a chance meeting, he is kind of mysterious and holds a secret. They have a connection from the start but will his secret stop things from going further? Her family believe she should be with Cole because he is from a good family but she doesn't agree. Will her family push them together? Is he her fate? What will happen when she pushes Ryan away? Is it a choice she can live with? What will happen when she is offered a chance of a life time? Will she take it or will she feel family obligations are more important? The characters in this book will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions from laughter to anger. Mallory is a strong character that knows what she wants with her life but feels that everyone else is more important then herself. I was happy to see her character grow little by little throughout the story. Ryan is strong, handsome and knows there is more to Mallory then what she believes. He believes in her and continues to show her support. Cole is not so nice as I think that he has a secret agenda, just not sure what it is. I didn't necessarily care for his character because he seemed like a player of sorts. I did keep hoping that Ryan and Mallory would find their HEA and not Mallory and Cole. Ryan and Mallory just seemed to fit better together and they had great chemistry. They are just lovable characters. The secondary characters in this story are supportive and just as lovable. I highly recommend this story as I know you will want to see who Mallory ends up with.

Here with Me by Megan Nugen Isabell is a great story of romance, it follows Mallory and her life since she has moved back home in Maine.

Mallory had the choice to go anywhere in the country with her job but when her mom is diagnosed with MS, she knows she has to return home to look after her. While back home she gets a job in a local hospital and although its not her dream she is happy.

So while on a run early morning she comes across a dog on the beach which knocks her off her feet but then a mystery man appears and takes the dog, Mallory has a conversation with the man who informs her its not his and he was trying to help an old lady. All the time this attractive man is talking to her she feels the attraction between them.

As the story goes on she discovers that the mystery man is Ryan Scott and with another chance meeting they both discover that they are attracted to each other, but she has to convince her mother that he is the right man for her. But will secrets and a jealous ex-boyfriend / best friend be the icing on the cake for Mallory.

I love this author and her writing style which draws you into each story she has written. You feel like you are within the book living the lives of these people or feeling that these characters are your best friend. With each turn of the page you were not really sure what Mallory, Ryan or Cole will do next, the twists in the story brings your imagination to life. I would always recommend any story by this author as you will never be disappoint with the stories or characters.

I rated this book 3 stars because, although it was well written with few editing errors, it just dragged on too much for me. The story line was ok but I can't stand a book that just drags with a main character who can't make up her mind.

Here With Me

The story Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell is new adult/romance book. This is an amazing story the I loved reading. It is a story that had me hooked from the beginning and not wanting to put down until I had read the last page. I loved the characters of Mallory and Ryan. Mallory is a woman who lives at home and helps her mother after she is diagnosed with an illness. She works at the local hospital in the ER. She also has dreams that she has put on hold. Ryan is quite a mysterious character at first. He doesn’t give a lot of information about what he is doing in Maine and when it is finally revealed it is quite a surprise. A connection between them forms and they find themselves falling for each other. There is another character that plays a large roll in this story and his name is Cole. Mallory and Cole have been good friends since they were teens and at one time they even dated. Cole is a character that I was not able to fully embrace like Mallory and Ryan. He is not a bad character just one that I felt sometimes had his own agenda and thought more of himself than others. There is a situation that happens in this story that causes Mallory to push Ryan away. She explains her reasons for doing so, however, I felt that she was just trying to convince herself that she was doing the right thing. Mallory finds herself with a chance to pursue a dream that she has. Will she take this opportunity? When it comes to love will she choose the man that others believe is right for her or will she choose the man that has stolen her heart? This is a book all about making choices. Do you follow what everyone else wants you to do or do you choose the way that will make you happy? This story had me frustrated at times however always hoping for a happy ending. I have read many books by this author and I have never been disappointed. I love her writing style. I know that when I sit down to read one of her books that I will get lost in a story that I will not soon forget.

Here with Me is a wonderful new adult romance, by Megan Nugen Isbell. After reading quite a few of Ms. Nugen Isbell’s books now, I have come to expect that each and every new release is going to take me on a journey of the heart. And she never lets me down, everyone exquisitely capturing the emotional and touching qualities that she infuses her stories with. She really does have a wonderful way with words- lovingly crafting her plot and the characters, giving intricately detailed descriptions and creating dialogue that draws you into the story, connecting the you to the characters and getting you invested in their story.
In this book, we meet Mallory Leighton who has sacrificed a life of her own, on her own terms, to return to her home to care for her mother who has Multiple Sclerosis and juggling that with working in the ER at the local hospital, not exactly what she had envisioned for herself a few years ago.
Then, a chance meeting with a mysterious and exciting newcomer to town, Ryan Scott, has Mallory intrigued, surprised by their immediate connection. She can’t stop thinking about him. Feelings soon develop, but Ryan has secrets that could change everything.
Her mother has her own ideas as to who would be ideal relationship material, and that is Mallory’s ex Cole Hollins, who belongs to the town’s ‘elite’ society, which is what Mallory’s mother wants for her daughter to become part of. Cole himself also has designs on re-igniting his relationship with Mallory, and that means seeing Ryan out of the picture completely.
Mallory will ultimately have to decide whether to go along with expectations, or follow her heart. Her decision may change her life forever?
This was a truly beautiful story- entirely realistic and believable. I was hooked and was rooting for Mallory the whole way through. I loved her as a character. I won’t say which male character I loved, as I don’t want to give away anything.
A wonderful read!

Thank you, Ms. Nugen Isbell!

Here with me
By Megan Nugen Isbell

Today I found a book that I never wanted to end. Here With Me was such a beautifully written book and I loved every second of it. I have read many of Megan’s books and they are always such a pleasure to read but this one really took my breath away. It was such a touching read and had the best characters in it, probably amongst the best I have read about this year. From the very first chapter I was completely captivated by Mallory’s story. I laughed, I cried and I loved. It was everything I have come to expect from this talented author.
Mallory was such a lovely person. She was genuine, selfless and caring. The role in which she has taken on with her Mom can’t be easy but she rarely complained. It was only once she opened up to Ryan did we find how she truly felt about her situation.
I also really liked Cole and I did kind of feel for him. There was a strong bond between him and Mallory, you could tell that they really meant a lot to each other and like Mallory he was a really nice person (on the whole). He may have gone about things the wrong ways at times but I think his love for her was genuine.
Ryan was just, well to be honest, he was just perfect! I think I fell in love with him straight away and there’s one part of this story where he is talking to Mallory and I actually just burst into tears. What he was saying was so heartfelt and real that I could feel everything he was saying. I could feel his love for Mallory in the things he did. My heart truly broke for him during some parts.
Along with characters above there were also some great secondary characters who really made the story extra special. I really liked them all, except maybe Mallory’s sister!!
The ending to this story was just so beautiful – I loved it.

5 out of 5 stars

Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell is new adult/romance book and it is an amazing book! I loved reading this story and was hooked from page one and almost didn’t sleep as I couldn’t put it down. This was my first book by Megan and I will be coming back to read more by her. This book as a whole was beautifully written especially with the twists and characters. This is a story about Mallory and Ryan. Mallory is faced with things that you never expect to face at 24 years of age. Her mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and she must move back home to help take care of her. This is not how she thought her life would go between that and working at the ER. When out on a run one morning she meets Ryan who is a mystery to her. Ryan is a stable man who lives in the area, he’s the type of guy every woman truly wants in her life. I loved the way Mallory and Ryan are it melts my heart and I love how he’s okay with putting himself out there even if he will get hurt in the end. Cole I liked too he was a good guy who just made bad decisions due to being in love with his former flame still. Her mother seems to think you must always go for material things and Mallory has to figure out if she wants that or to follow her heart. Will Ryan and Mallory be able to try their relationship or will things get in the way? Will she finally get to pursue her dream?

5/5 Stars

Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell is a amazing new adult contemporary romance novel. It’s a lovely standalone novel, you won’t be able to put down!
I have read almost every single one of Megan’s books. And every single one, I have absolutely loved!! She has a wonderful way of bringing the characters and stories to life! Almost feels like you got sucked into the book, like you are actually there will the characters!
A year ago, I haven’t even heard of Megan Nugen Isbell. But since reading one of her first books, I’ve been hooked since then! She has become one of my all time favorite authors!!
She writes is such a beautiful way, I always manage to cry at least once, during the book. I can’t help it… I’m such an emotional reader! Happy or sad, I’ll cry!!
I can definitely identify with the character, Mallory Leyton in this book! She is always putting everyone else’s needs and wants before her own. She is a people pleaser, like myself.
Reading this, made me open my eyes…it’s Time I do something for myself now! I’m always taking care of other people and putting their needs first. But it’s time, to put myself first for once.
Another outstanding job, Megan! I can’t wait to see what’s next for us!! I’m sure it will be amazing like all of the other books!!

Here With Me is a standalone by Megan Nugen Isbell and I loved it. I have read several of her book and I haven't been disappointed yet. I don't know if it is her writing style or the stories, but she is in my top three favorite authors if not the top on my list. Now that I have gushed about the author, let me give you my thoughts on the book itself.

Mallory has a good heart and the best intentions but she refuses to do what is best for her and will put everyone first even if it makes her unhappy. Because of that I wanted to shake her to try and knock some sense into her head, and I think I may have even slammed my kindle closed a time or two when I found myself getting really frustrated with her.

Ryan is they type of guy I would love to have my daughter bring home. He is mature, stable and would do anything for Mallory even if it means being hurt in the process. I loved him and the things he did for Mallory even when she didn't realize he had done them or that she was doing them because of him or something he said.

I love the supporting characters, especially Kenna. Everyone needs a Kenna in their life and I am fortunate enough to have two. I highly recommend reading this or anything else she has written.

Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell is an emotional yet beautiful story about finding the right path for yourself. We follow Mallory's story, who has given up things she's always wanted to stay home when her mother needed her. The story is beautifully written and carefully thought out while the pace was steady and never dragged on or felt rushed. The characters are amazing and complex. The supporting characters are just as much a part of the storyline as the main characters which is nice to see as it makes it well rounded. The author had me swooning, crying and laughing all through this amazing story. It's a great story about finding the way to make yourself happy, when all you've ever done was be there for others. I loved watching Mallory grow in the story, she faces some tough trials but her character is beyond beautifully written out. This book truly made my crawl inside and not want to come out. This book truly has it all characters you love, characters you love to hate, a story that gives you all kinds of emotions and best of all a story you sink right into. I give this book five stars because it was truly an inspirational story and I loved it.

This book made me feel a lot. There was so much going on and so much emotion that I felt it too. I also learnt something new. Which is always a bonus.

‘Quahog is another name for clam.’

Family Guy makes sense!! I love reading because I always learn new things each time I read a book.

I want to start by saying that I do not like Paige. There is something about her that rubbed me the wrong way. The rest of Mallory’s family were not too great either. It makes me sad that they made her feel stuck and that she should be the parent.

Ryan is my favourite. I liked Ryan a lot. He was honest and actually encouraged dreams instead of squash them. He actually pushes Mallory. Made her try to do things for herself.

‘You deserve a life too, Mallory, and you can’t feel guilty for finding that life with me.’

Overall, I really liked this book. There were times when I was internally shouting ‘what are you doing?’ But all in all it was a good read. I would love to read a book on Mallory’s best friend!

Here with Me By Megan Nugen Isbell

Here with me by Megan Nugen Isbell is an amazing read,I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading it. This is not my first book by this author and I will say it most definitely is not the last. I absolutely love this author and her writing style, she pours her heart into every character and the story and it shows. The emotions I feel when reading her books is amazing in which you feel like your feeling what her characters feel in that moment. This is the story about Mallory and Ryan,I loved these two,he is just in town for work and had no intentions of meeting anyone.Mallory is a young women who gave up her hopes and dreams to help out her mom.who was diagnosed with a terrible disease,so he needs a little help although she doesn’t want it.Then there's Cole he's everyone's choice for Mallory but she doesn't share the same feelings has he does.Im not going to spoil the story, ypu want to find out what happens? I highly recommend you read this book.

Another book by this author that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. I found the characters in this book so lovely and endearing that I really took them into my heart and wanted the best for all of them as I read this story.

It is a romance story with a family basis to it and touches on the subject of doing what is right for others instead of yourself and others wanting what they want for you, not what you want.

I loved the dialogue between the characters in this story as it was very true to life. Not everyone is perfect and fall outs happen with harsh words and this is kept true I this book.

The setting is almost a character in itself as I felt like I was actually there thanks to great description and the easy flowing writing if this book.

I highly recommend this book and any other by this author as she has not let me down once in the books I have read of hers so far. They all have a lovely feel to them and are interesting and captivating stories and this one is no exception.

I really enjoy the way Megan Nugen Isabell tells a story. She pulls you in from the moment you start and is relentless in letting you go until you reach that very last word. Hear With Me had this southern girl ready to take a trip to Maine. I’ve never had the desire to try the cuisine or even walk along the beaches of that part of our country but after reading Hear with Me, I have added it to my bucket list. When a book can gain my adoration by just the setting I know the story will be out of this world. Ms. Nugen Isabell brings to life these stunning characters and has you applauding for the happiness of all of them.

Our main couple is faced with real life situations that have dreams sitting on the back burner. They also face decisions that will be life altering. I loved the independence Mallory shows and the heart that she has in helping those around her. Ryan instantly captured my heart and was exactly what I expected him to be.

My heart broke but was mended and tears were wiped away with smiles. Another beautiful story by Megan. By far my favorite to date.

Here With Me is a very sweet story by Megan Nugen-Isbell. I thought the family dynamics were very realistic. Many times there is one person in the family who is the official “caregiver”. Usually this task falls to the youngest child. But not always.
The character development in “Here With Me” was well thought out and the characters changed and matured over the course of the book. This book really kept me guessing. Malorie's choices were never really set in stone and it really is a cliff hanger right up to the very end.
Cole seems to be one of the most developed personalities in the book. I found his character to be one of the most interesting. Mal’s reaction to him is a bit perplexing since he seems to “Have it all,” including the maturity to understand and react appropriately to the attack on Mal.
I also really liked the portrayal of Page. She was a true brat, but she seemed to grow up, at least a little bit by the end of the book.
All in all I enjoyed “Here With Me.”

Here With Be by Megan Nugen Isbell was SO good! I am a huge fan of this author and as always her characters and their storyline seem to jump off the pages. I read the entire book in one day, simply because I could not put it down. An amazing 5 star read!

Mallory never thought she’d be living in her childhood home at the age of twenty four but her mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so she’s there to help. She’s not looking for love, she’s got a million other things to worry about. So when she meets Ryan, she doesn’t know what to expect. He’s mysterious, gorgeous and there is something about him that Mallory can’t figure out. Do these two have a future? Or will they be doomed before their relationship even begins? Mallory has some tough choices to make, will Ryan be there to help her?

This book was amazing! I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next.

Great story!!!!!!

Here with me is a stand alone romance by Megan Niven Isbell. I love this story. We see how the romance of Ryan and Mallory flourishes. Even with people pushing her towards her longtime friend Cole she decides to go after what she really wants. Even after they had a separation she ends up fighting for what she wants. This author did an awesome job of getting us to fall in love with the characters and story. The attention to detail brought everything to life. I felt as if I were right next to them during the laughs, cries and smiles. When the character was going through a rough time with her mother I sat there and shed tears. It felt so real. Although it was a lil rough start it was a great book. I would give this book a 4 star rating.

Here with Me is a new adult romance by Megan Nugen Isbell and is a wonderful read. Megan always writes books, so effortlessly, that grab you and takes you on a beautiful journey straight to your heart. Emotions run high as you get invested in the words, the world, the characters that she so carefully crafts.

Mallory has dreams but time is never on her side. How can she live her dreams when see has to be there for others? How can she love when others don’t see her needs? How can she be herself when no one see the true you? Being what others want is not being true to yourself. Doing what others want is not being true to herself. It’s time to take charge and just be her but can she?

A lovely read even though I wanted to slap the main character at times but she got there! Where is there? You will have to grab a copy and enjoy the ride.

This is definitely a book with heart filled moments, and true love story that fight for what they want.

Mallory would do anything for her mom, even give up her dreams and wants to help her mom with her Sclerosis diagnose, she never thought of even finding love, since her mom came first. Like any child your parents will always come first, but when Mallory came across Ryan, it was like love at first site (how I felt); The mysterious part of Ryan had me wanting to not put the book down, and read the whole thing in a day (that's definitely what I did);

If you want a good romance, yet mysterious I'd definitely recommend this love story.

Perfect for a cozy weekend read, literally spent my Saturday in my PJs with several cups of tea, completely lost in this amazing live story.

The characters were not only well written they were completely relatable. The characters were all very life like.

Megan's attention to detail and very descriptive writing style took me right out of my living room and into the book.

It was an easy quick read, that you just can't put down until it's over. I honestly didn't want it to end though, it was a terrific escape from reality when I needed it most.

I give Here With Me by Megan Nugen Isbell 5 out of 5 stars.

This is a story about Mallory and how she struggles with being in her hometown. Struggling in her relationships with family and friends. A few of the plot points felt a little forced and predictable. But the storyline was paced well and the relationships in the book developed nicely. The support characters stood well on their own (loved Mal’s grandmother). An enjoyable read. I wasn’t surprised ultimately by the direction the plot took or the book’s ending. But I did enjoy reading it. A solid easy read for an afternoon.

Here with me by Megan Nugen Isbell is a new read to myself, and I am so glad that I took a chance on this one. The story centers around the a hard working woman that does everything for her family, even though the unthinkable has happened. This story, focusing on Ryley and Evan, shows just how resilient the heart can be, how life can take you directions that you never really thought you would be taking, and how those roads can sometimes bring you right back to where you started. Upon reading this book, I went a bought all of her other books because this one pulled at my heart strings so much. The way that Isbell was able to put that amount of emotion into each of her books really shows that there has to be a touch of her own life experiences in her writing. I honestly can not wait to see what her other books are like and how that she continues to bring such wonderful books with all the feels in them.

If you are looking for a real emotional rollercoaster of a book, that will leave you feeling both breathless and emotionally drained then this is definitely the book for you.

Ryley and Evan's story will definitely pull at your heartstrings. Evan was sent on a deployment six years ago, but his family received word shortly after his deployment, that he had been killed in action. They mourned, they grieved, and they moved on. Now, however, Evan and his team are back home, confused as to why their families are not happier to see them. In several cases, their families actually refuse to believe that it is them.

Through glimpses of the present, as well as the two of them talking about their past, you begin to see how much of a connection Ryley and Evan had. In his absence and supposed death, however, she had moved on with his brother, Nate. Nate is now away on an assignment and does not seem to know about his brother's return from the dead. As Nate is mostly absent from this book, I definitely found myself really pulling for Ryley and Evan. They share stories of how they met, fell in love, moved in together, and became pregnant. Evan has mysteriously been kept in the loop regarding Ryley and EJ, their son's, life, through pictures and letters. So, he is having a difficult time adjusting to his family not being there for him when he returns.

Ryley, on the other hand, has a lot of guilt. She still loves Evan - never really stopped - but she has moved on and promised herself to Nate. You can definitely feel how conflicted she is, because she wants to be a woman of her word, but she has now given her word to two different men. Only one has her heart, though, and that is what she has to decide on. There is no way that someone will not come out of this hurt, though. This book definitely ends on a cliffhanger, both with the love triangle, as well as what has really happened for the past six years, within the Navy SEALS.

The part that bugged me about this book was the therapist. As a therapist, I was not impressed with the sessions that she did. It is never really a therapist's job to tell someone what to do. It's more about helping them through situations and hopefully, empowering them to make healthier decisions for themselves. Yet, the therapist clearly defines for both Ryley and Evan that she is listening to each of their stories in the hopes of telling them what direction to take. It was hard for me, personally, not to get caught up with that factor within the story, so it kind of took away from some of the emotional impact, at times. Overall, though, this author definitely writes emotional moments very well, as you really do feel what the characters are experiencing - the confusion, the heartache, the hope that is trying to break through after years of desolation and loneliness. I can't wait to see what happens between Ryley, Nate and Evan.

Another entertaining read by Megan Nugen Isbell. Here with Me is the story of a woman dedicated to her family and struggling for adventure and the life she wants for herself. Having always done what is necessary she takes a chance on the mysterious new comer to her small coastal town. His belief in her brings reality to her situation causing her to want more for herself and to spread her wings. Tragedy strikes forcing her to rethink her ambitions and her love. Does she settle for the life her family has chosen and the man they think is the "safe" choice or does the go for true love and an unexpected life? This is a story of personal growth, facing fears, and broadening horizons. While there is a great love story/triangle within the book, the love story shares equal reading time with her personal choices to become the woman she wants to be. If you are looking for a steamy love story, this may not be the choice for you. But, if you are looking for a great sentimental read about family, sacrifice and challenges I suggest you take a peak. Happy Reading!

I first started reading these book because I had it on my kindle from one of those one-click attacks we all know very well about. The story seemed interesting and I wasn't disappointed about it. The story is beautiful and very nicely built, though it made me wanna pull my eyelashes out as Mallory is quite my opposite and got me all crazy with the decisions she was making all through the book. On the other hand, Ryan is a dream come true, and I think I might have fallen in love with him.

Those are the good parts. The bad stuff and the reason I didn't go on 5 stars is I really think the book could use lots of editing as it has way too many grammar mistakes that, for a language freak as I am, were a little too bothering. As a reader, I wanna cut my wrists every time I see a "your" when it's supposed to be "you're" and all that stuff, and if it was a one time mistake, I would have been okay with it, but it was recurrent and it really got me crazy.

All in all it's a really nice book and I'm looking forward to reading something else from this author.

About halfway through Here with Me, I realized I had a stomachache. Why? I was so invested in the story that I couldn't bear to have Mallory's world come to pieces.

Here With Me hits a topic you don't see much in the literature, but which is very close to my life --- caretaking. If a family member can't take care of themselves, should you sink your life into taking care of them, should you pursue your dreams, or should you find a balance between the two extremes? It's easy to think the first route is the ethical one, but as Here With Me (and any therapist worth their salt) will tell you, it generally ends in bitterness instead.

I was very glad the author didn't take the easy way out, but still allowed the heroine to have a happy ending. Highly recommended (but beware that midpoint stomachache!).

Embracing fate

I've always believed in fate and that everything happens for a reason. I also believe in if you love someone set them free and if they come back it was meant to be. This book is exactly that and I loved every word of it. Mallory and Ryan were meant to be from the very start. It was great to see how their love would grow and to see the bumps in the road. This is definitely a must read.

I've read other books by this author, and as usual they are great. Poor Mallory was stuck behind her responsibilities. Until she meets a mysterious handsome stranger by accident. Giving into what she was trying to fight. She ends up falling for Ryan. Who never imagined looking past his job & having a future with someone he falls in love with. They go through ups & downs, eventually going their separate ways. I won't say the rest, you'll just have to read the book!!
