The lord is mysterious!!! I've asked the gods and goddesses of Goodreads to give me a heroine in paranormal/ psyfi romance who wasn't a bitch waffle to her mate and I received one!! Thank goodness

Another heroine with weight issues and lack of confidence coming from Angela Castle. I wanted some variety but I guess Angela Castle want to give a story to every curvy, weight and confidence issues woman (myself included).
Providence Velour, is called in to fix an electrical problem in a cosmetics factory. Wile repairing the problem Providence enters a room were she finds 2 strange aliens and a human - or so she thought.
Zelron, a warrior of Kelon, was captive since his ship crashed to Earth. The "cosmetic" company was experimenting on him and collecting samples. When Providence is threatened Zelron feels compelled to protect her.
The passion between them fires up, Zelron claims Providence as his own - Corami.
I was a bit taken aback by the times they spent having sex instead of trying to get out. And Kelron forgot he wants to escape until Providence reminded him....
I had the feel the book was focused so much on their bonding that the action, escape, revenge, going to Kelon were mentioned as a means to reaching the end. I missed more details about the alien planet the other couples from the previous books.
Kelron was a sexy alien, loving alien and I wanted to see him more in action.Too short and could have been more, I dare to say.
I loved Kelron called Providence "little one" but her "Z man" for him was too weird for me...

I went into this knowing it couldn't be as good as I was hoping, since I read books 1 and 2 and found them seriously lacking. At first glance, this could have been great... H is imprisoned, h comes to the rescue? And H has scarring and doesn't see his own self-worth? Could have been great!
Instead, within the first chapter those plot advantages are thrown out the window. Just one sentence from the h gets rid of all the H's self-loathing (which, btw, is totally ridiculous. The guy volunteers to go on suicide missions, he isn't assigned a partner because he's so reckless, all because of his scarring and lack of family and chance to have a life partner, yet one sentence fixes all? Ugh), and within 2 seconds of the start of the book the h manages to get herself captured along with the H and it's the H that does most of the rescuing in the end. What a let-down.
On top of that, we have, once again, a h with body issues. Where did that confident girl from the first few lines of the book go? As soon as she has to struggle a bit to open a door, all her body and self confidence issues come crashing down and never really leave. I can't stand it anymore. I almost wish they could have been cured as easily as the H's problems...

Providence es electricista y acude a unas instalaciones militares, que son la base de una compañía de cosméticos, para regalar un problema eléctrico. Cuando trata de buscar el error en el sistema eléctrico, que produjo la falla de energía, descubre, por error, a un Kelon. El macho alienígena había estado 8 meses secuestrado y cuando ve a la mujer, siente su debe de protegerla.
Los médicos le dan dos opciones a Providence: la matan para que no diga nada o entra en la jaula con el gran hombre Kelon y se convierte en su nueva "novia".
El romance empieza y deben encontrar una forma de escapar de sus captores.

Este tipo de historias y clichés me gustan, los amo. Es muy bonita la historia porque vemos cómo Providence lucha por aceptación y la encuentra fácilmente en Zelron.
La escritura es fácil y los personajes están bien, solo que me pareció un poco bobo la elección que tomaron para contactarse con los Kelons de la base cerca de la luna, era más fácil la señal o de pronto viajar a la agencia de Sidney. Pero bueno, todo salió bien.

DNF after skimming to 50%
So, the h is (in her words) a short, fat, frumpy 32 year old virgin who grew up in a small country town as the unwanted daughter of the local electrician who she followed into trade. She goes to repair an electrical fault at the Cosmetics factory, discovers they are experimenting on a hot, badass but scarred alien and falls into insta-heat. The H has been experimented on in a vague sort of way for nearly a year, comes from a vegetarian planet where the females don't enjoy sex and where you stay a virgin until you are mated - apparently his scars from fighting in the wars means he will never get mated to his own kind. They get thrown into a cell together, told they need to collect a sperm specimen or they will be tortured so they go at it like bunnies with lots of 'oh, I want you but I am unworthy' from both the h and H. I gave up then.

Providence, the electric, during repairs in a cosmetic factory, finds that they are experimenting on aliens. One of them being a Kelon, Earth's ally and protector, Zelron, who crashed in Earth before Kelon built the station orbiting the Moon and has no knowledge of the war's end.
Zelron to protect Providence claims her as his and the people experimenting on him think of using her as a bargaining chip for his cooperation.
The story was short, both Zelron and Providence were interesting characters, but 3 stars as the plot kind of takes it sideways with them being prisoners and not trying to escape.

So...H is captured and tortured. Power goes out...in comes h, an electrician. I thought wow! A woman in a nontraditional job and the opportunity for her to rescue the hero. Ooh. But...nope, she gets captured. And they both sit around and talk about their insecurity (her weight issues and his war scars)...ugh. They hang out and have sex...over and over...they don’t even try to get free. Finally, they get loose....but by then I was too disappointed....

I was so mad when I found out about humans being their worst again. I wonder how we can call ourselves that when we perform such atrocities. Homelessness, abuse, judgement, rape, torture, murder. I wish there was a way to create a utopian society where everyone loved and cared for one another instead of selfishness. I would love a world like Kelon. I was also glad to hear about Solron and his mate and their future children. I really like this series and I'm going to be sad to see it end.

This is a typical book in this series. The hero and heroine are likable and admirable. The plot is simple. The sexual chemistry is very good. The main reason I gave it a 3 star was that at least 1/2 the book and the best sex scenes are with them being held and abused in captivity. I really dislike this plot ploy.

Et bien voila, c'est fini pour moi pour le moment, je suis finalement à jour pour Les guerriers de Kelon, tout ces fous rire vont me manquer... Mais il faut dire que depuis quelques nouvelles, la série était devenue plus sérieuse et bien mieux mise en scène, ça commence à devenir intéressant et à avoir du sens. Ce qui n'empêche pas à l'humour d'être toujours aussi présent, en plus de certaines scènes hilarantes. Cet opus est sans aucun doute différent des précédents, mettant en avant une nouvelle facette de la guerre qui fait rage et surtout d'une façon totalement inattendue !
Zelron est un guerrier qui nous est totalement inconnu, on ne sait rien sur lui, on ne lui connait aucun liens avec les précédents protagonistes. Ils leur ressemblent pourtant énormément, c'est un Kelon pur et dur avec tout ce qui va avec, mais son emprisonnement l'a rendu plus sauvage et animal que les autres. Ses instinct possessifs et protecteurs sont bien plus développés, ce qui rend ses sentiments pour la petite humaine bien plus puissants, passionnés. J'ai tout de suite accroché à ce personnage qui ne se voile pas la face et ne ment pas à son âme-sœur quand à ses sentiments et intentions.
Providence est elle aussi différentes des autres humains présentées jusqu'à maintenant. Elle est un véritable garçon manqué de tous les points de vue possible et qui étrangement accepte mieux ses rondeurs que les autres. Elle est aussi beaucoup plus ouverte, tolérante vis-à-vis à tout ce qui touche à la science-fiction. Elle est à la fois douce, fragile et forte, une tête brûlée maligne qui fait preuve d'énormément de courage. Tout comme Zelron, elle est la plus passionnée des femmes qu'on ait vu dans la série, ce qui donne des scènes hot vraiment épicées et intéressantes.
La romance évolue de façon similaire que précédemment mais on rajoute une connotation de survie ici : ces deux-là se retrouvent à devoir coucher ensemble afin de pouvoir vivre un jour de plus. Mais tout cela ne les empêchent pas de réellement s'aimer et de mettre en place une relation de couple solide. Bien qu'il y ait plusieurs scènes érotiques, les tortures, l'emprisonnement, la mort rendent l'atmosphère plus lourde et noire. Les hommes apparaissent ici comme les ennemis des Kelon, cruels et sans conscience, ils sont prêts à tout pour obtenir ce qu'ils souhaitent. Le rythme est aussi plus mouvementé, voir haché par moment, il y a pas mal d'actions.
Dans l'ensemble cette histoire est la plus développée de toutes et surtout celle qui étonne le plus, cela dès le début avec son choix de se passer sur Terre. Juste quand je commençais à bien rentrer dans l'histoire, pouf... je me retrouve sans plus rien à me mettre sur la dent... Je n'ai plus qu'à espérer une suite, bien que je ne vois pas trop ce que va pouvoir nous sortir l'auteure ce coup-ci.

Zelron is being held and experimented on by the M.A.R.C. cosmetic company when a power outage threatens to allow the alien to go free. Calling in an electrician to handle the emergency, Providence inadvertently discovers Zelron.
When the jailors threaten to kill off Providence to silence her Zelron stops their hand by claiming her. The possibility of a Earth/Kelron offspring from the two are enough to keep Providence alive as long as she keeps the Kelon warrior happy.
quickie read featuring Kelon warrior Zelron and Earther Providence Velour. Story line was pretty straight forward with a healthy addition of adult content scenes between the two. This installment (which I do believe could be read as a stand alone) is great when you're looking for a quick fix of sci fi/romantic erotica. Just realize there is no real depth or developed world building going on - just a alpha warrior male and a spunky independent female though that's not a bad thing is it. hehe

When she goes off on her own and fixes the issues she manages to stumble on a company secret...they are experimenting on aliens. Prov ends up being the answer to their dreams when she becomes the currency they use to manipulate poor Zelron. Together they escape and eventually find a very beautiful happy ever after.
If you have been a fan of this series, then don't miss Possessing Providence. It's a wonderful feel good and sexy story.

Very cool. Loved this book and especially Zelron who is the first male to be treated as poorly as some of the females in this series. I loved that Providence could see past his scars and be everything he needed. Nice, fast paced storyline.

My one word summary of this one would be: "Meh." Bland and uninspired, it's an obligatory piece in a series that aims to deliver the kidnapping part of the deal from the other side of the barricade. Not worth the time.

Velour and Kelron are an amazing couple, having met and kept in a cell. I was so happy when they got together, and man chemistry lol.
