Okay, so here's the thing about this series as a whole ... it is sexually driven. Like really sexually driven. And I'm okay with that. However, there was too much of that in this story and not enough story. SO I didn't like it. I skimmed a lot because I wanted to read the story ... and it kinda never came ...

So without giving away the plot, this is definitely a love triangle, but it's a byproduct of a couple's sexual proclivities. THIS is where the story is lacking. THAT proclivity and it's coming about wasn't unfolded into the story thoroughly enough for me. And when the end of the story came, we just magically had a HEA #sideye

Everyone has their kink. For Zoe and Keith that means sending her out to be with other men and returning with juicy details. Until Spence...
Hotwifing reveals chinks in the armor of their marriage. Can Zoe find her happily ever after?
Haynes delivers. I couldn't put this book down. Hot, sexy, engaging.
Haynes weaves an incredible tale and just when you think you’ve got it figured out, there’s a twist. Sexy and seductive—this is two thumbs up for me.

I was not sure if I would like this book, but I did. Zoe is a hotwife, she has sex with other men then calls, videos, and takes pictures for her husband to act out fantasies. Zoe has been doing this for 3 year and everything is going good till she meets Spence who is always the other man. He has had three somes before, but never gets involved or attached. Can Zoe go on like this or will everything change when feeling get involved ?

Zoe (with the approval of her husband) has been fulfilling a need they both approve of until Spencer. Spencer has issues with commitment but finally gets blindsided by someone he didn’t expect to love. This is a great read that is super hot!

I didn’t really like the premise. The writing was fine, but I didn’t care for the kink. Not shaming, just not my bag.

Wasn't sure I liked Spencer from the third book but I really loved him in this one. I actually liked this one more than books 2 and 3. Zoe and her husband have an arrangement that is very unusual. He encourages Zoe to go and find men to have sex with because he loves hearing the details. On a business trip she meets Spencer and they begin a relationship that is supposed to be just about sex with the husband's approval. it starts to unravel fairly quickly as Spencer and Zoe both start having feelings for each other. The husband begins to notice and calls Zoe out on this. She wants to work on their marriage because of the vows they took but refuses to look for another lover even as she agrees never to see Spencer again. A few weeks later she realizes that she's pregnant and it can't be the husband's baby because he hasn't had sex with her in a very long time...iirc he has performance issues. The husband demands she abort the baby and she refuses which effectively ends their marriage. She runs into Spencer and he accidentally finds out about the baby and he's ecstatic, much to Zoe's surprise. He loves her, she loves him HEA. Despite the subject matter, this was a mostly safe book. The H and h were only ever with each other in this book and I loved it.

Ah! The games people play!!
Jasmine Haynes is my favorite grown-up erotica writer. She can write a an erotic scene with twists and turns the like of which other authors should be envious. Her heroes are my heroes, they are always amazing men who love with their whole heart and body. Halfway into any story by Jasmine Haynes and I am a squirming jealous mess, thinking I want a man like that, who loves me like that. This story was no exception. It was short but I did not like the way it ended. There was no reason for that. It was almost as if it started with too much steam and ended with a whispered hiss. I wish that the ending and Spence's time with his love when he finally found her would have been more extensive, that it was not, disappointed me and I give the book 3stars a for a lovely story with a poorly done ending.

You can always count on Jasmine Haynes for a really, really hot read. And "The Other Man" is a very, very hot read...but it's an intelligent hot read, as well.

Haynes has touched on the theme of intimacy in marriage before, in books like "Kinky Neighbors" where she raises the question of how sexual intimacy relates to emotional intimacy in a marriage.

In "The Other Man" she asks the question in a slightly different way. Spencer is supposed to be the "Other Man" in Keith and's Zoe's marriage, giving Zoe the sex she wants and which Keith can't provide. But Zoe finds that she's not just sexually intimate with Spence, she's become emotionally intimate as well. And Keith has now become the third wheel in their relationship.

So...4 stars for Haynes challenging her readers with questions about sex, emotions, and honesty.

This wasn't my favorite in the series but liked the main couple better than the one in the previous book. I'm still on the fence on the way the trope was handled on this installment as it came too close to the cheating theme and I dislike cheating in my romances. But the author managed to make me root for the couple and their HEA. It was a hot read with some emotional moments thrown in and that always works for me.

C+/B- I think Ms. Haynes did a great job with a taboo subject; she makes Keith pretty unlikeable from the start...
For a while I wondered if she would have Zoe maintain two separate relationships ... but I really like how this one worked out

I don't know that Spence and Zoe's relationship holds up beyond the sex THAT much - but if you don't over think it, it totally works

Also there's the fact that Spence says he wants more and goes for it from the start

This one is a bit more realistic take on hotwifing. The hotwife falls in love with the other man. The chemistry between h & h was very hot, the sex scenes kinky and dirty. But some of the plot points were just ugh. There is a sorta HEA, but this isn't really a romance.

Love the series. Unlike the others, the ending seemed a bit rushed.
