The only man who can save her life has been dead for a decade.
Raised in a loving home, Aria Suarez dreamed of becoming a professional pianist happily married to her high school crush. After the only boy who ever caught her eye dies a hero's death and her wrist is shattered along with her future plans, she turns her brilliant musical mind to nuclear engineering and solving mysteries of science.
Abandoned to an abusive father at five, Nick Williams grew up dreaming of escape; of enlisting in the Army and leaving his wretched life behind; of proving himself worthy of the girl he loves. But the crucible of combat offers only the escape of death.
A decade later, Aria uncovers a nuclear plot that threatens the heart of our very nation. Sinister forces surround and threaten her when, out of nowhere, the man who reportedly died so many years before returns as if from the grave — intent on protecting her.

An Army brat turned Floridian, Hallee and her husband finally settled in central Kentucky so they could enjoy the beautiful changing of the seasons. Her passion for cooking spurred her to launch a whole food, real food “Parody” cookbook series. This book was action packed, filled with tension, a roller coaster ride across America while still managing to deal with the very real issues of abuse, guilt, low self worth, and forgiveness. The love story was beautiful. And although characters from previous books are mentioned or appear, they are only minor characters. It does not detract from the story at all if you never read any of Hallee's other books, but when you are done with this one you will want to. God's love is evident in this book and you can feel the love the author has as well for God and her readers. Another must read from Hallee Bridgeman.
Wow what a story! I shouldn’t be surprised I have read Hallee’s A Melody for James and The Jewel Series. Great books. An Aria for Nick is suspense, romance and also as she always does has Godly morals in it also. Hallee knows how to write a great romance story and make it so feeling but yet clean. One of the reasons I love her books. Aria a beautiful pianist had her whole life ahead of her plan, but in one moment of abuse her career was ended. Can she find a way to forgive the person who did this to her? Nick left by his mother to live with his father who is abusive. Nick falls in love with Aria. Aria also has feelings for him. Both have come from different home lives. How can they ever make it work. Will there love make it? You will not be disappointed in this book. I give this book 5 stars.
Are you looking for a story that has romance, suspense and plenty of twists and turns? Look no further than An Aria for Nick. Add this book to your must read list. Hallee Bridgeman delivers another book where she deals with issues that many people have experienced in their own lives. Can the cycle of abuse be broken? Can good ever come from a shattered dream? Travel along on this journey and see how God can bring hope to a hopeless situation despite lost love, broken dreams and betrayal.
Once I started, it was really hard to stop! I loved it. Perfect suspense mixed with a bit of clean romance. This is, quite possibly, the only book I've ever read where I had a "movie" playing in my head as I read the words. "Aria for Nick" is my favorite Hallee Bridgeman book so far!
Imagine having everything going for you, a great musical career ahead of you and a loving boyfriend, but suddenly it all comes crashing down when he dies and your wrist is shattered along with your heart and future.
This is the situation Aria faces in the new read from the super talented Hallee Bridgeman. Aria picks up the pieces of her life and moves on, finds a new career and sets out on just living life to it's full everyday. Of course it does not completely work out perfectly but she gets a define A for trying.
But to make matters worst she finds herself smack bam in the middle of a mystery and fighting to survive.
Her rescuer? The man from her past, Nick! But before she can even so much as ask how he is suddenly back from the dead, she needs to play along with his plan in order to make it out alive, or she might never get the change to ask him where he went, why he is back or why he is leaving yet again.
The main characters of Aria and Nick were both brilliantly crafted by this author. I felt in touch with Aria's pain and suffering and with Nick's back and forth fight to climb from the darkness that is his mind.
Aria was unique and a true fighter heroine, she does not take things lying down and wallow in grief she instead does what needs to be done and get's it over and done with. This spirited attitude made her my kind of heroine, however she does also reach the moments where as in real life with us all she gets those " I am at the end of my rope" feeling and is not so sure she can push on. But this showed her as human and realistic and I loved every minute!
Nick was the dark and hidden character in this read, not because he has obvious issues stemming from his "death" but because he had such a tough time in life, which of course is in complete contradiction to the loving and almost perfect life Aria had. Through this character the author showed me as reader that not everyone has it all or has grown up with the bubble of loving perfection, and for this reason alone never ever judge someone by first appearances or their action for that matter, for you never know what they have been through.
I loved the background settings, full of action, excitement, suspense, drama and fantastic descriptions of the surroundings and just what the characters are facing, I could honestly touch the dessert heat and feel the danger. The dialogue was pure emotional brilliance !
A action packed, suspense filled, heartwarming, compelling read. The author has once again proven why she manages to truly touch the hearts of her readers and why her characters become apart of our souls and will forever live in our memories.
I am taking away a message of when we lose someone or life does not go the way we wanted it to, there is a reason. God might have something better planned for you, or it is simply not the right time for it to happen. Stay strong and be patient God knows what he is doing, keep the faith!
5/5 star review " He's there to rescue her, but will he realize she is the one needed to rescue him?"
An Aria for Nick is my new favorite book. My favorite genre is Christian Romance/Suspense and Hallee Bridgeman delivered. She stays true to all three aspects - clearly Christian, suspense, and romance - weaving the three together seamlessly.
Nick and Aria come from different sides of the tracks. Aria, a beautiful girl, grows up knowing the comforts of family and having enough. Nick grows up, abandoned by his mother, abused by his drunk father. Little wonder he feels unworthy of Aria who knows what she wants and dreams of someday being married to Nick.
They both go their separate ways when high school ends but Aria secretly dreams of Nick coming back and being her "happy ever after". When she receives devastating news that Nick has died, she wonders how her life could have been destroyed with those few words. As months go by she has to face the fact that all she dreamed of, all she worked for, is gone after another tragic accident changes the course of her life.
Will Aria find satisfaction in the life God has planned for her? Will she learn forgiveness? What does her new "happy ever after" look like?
“The only man that can save her has been dead for a decade.”
With a tag line like that, how can you not be drawn to this book? Hallee Bridgeman never fails to delight her readers. An Aria for Nick, the second book in her Song of Suspense series, showcases the vibrancy of Hallee’s descriptive writing.
From the very beginning, I was rooting for Aria and Nick to overcome their differences and find a way to make things work. Just when all should be well, tragedy strikes. Aria is forced by circumstances to set aside her hopes and dreams in exchange for an entirely new life. Having stumbled upon a plot of nuclear proportions, Aria seeks help to stop the plotting before it’s too late. She never expects help to come in the form of a man she has long since thought dead. Is it too late for second chances?
True to form, Hallee skillfully weaves fiction and reality together to create characters the reader could expect to run in to at the local coffee shop. Mixing romance, Christian morals, and suspense in a story of redemption, you won’t want to stop reading.
Aria has discovered a nuclear plot to destroy our government and the only person who can help her has been dead for 10 years.
Aria was an up and coming pianist when a tragedy destroyed her career and put her on a different path. Nick grew up in abusive home, joined the Army and left right after graduation. Shortly after this Aria is notified that Nick is dead and buries him.
Fast forward 10 years, Aria has reported a nuclear plan to bring down the government to the FBI. The super secret agency that Nick has worked for the past 10 years is informed and Nick is sent to take care of things. Now, Nick and Aria are on the run and must figure out what is going on and who is involved before they are killed.
Weaved through out the story is suspense and a romance. So well written you will not be able to put it down!! It will keep you up at night and is worth the lost sleep.
Great plot, awesome characters, well woven story line. It has everything!!
I'm so overwhelmed by this story; it felt like I was reading a love poem or hearing a love song. Even though there was not much interaction between Aria and Nick in the beginning you still felt the love they had for each other.
The plot was amazing, the characters were awesome and I thought this was better than the first book in this series; that is really hard for me to say because the first was wonderful. Hallee you really did an amazing job when you wrote this book and I can't wait to read the other books in this series.
Ps: I love the fact that Nick was man of prayer and that when he wrote Aria he would share scriptures with her. Simply amazing.
Amazing as usual. Deals with a very real issue in our culture today in a very up front way. Many Christian service members struggle with feelings of guilt when they are called upon to execute their duties. How does one reconcile that guilt with a Christian world view? What effect does the trauma of combat experiences have on the Christian heart? Can one feel worthy of love and respect despite actions of the past?
I love the different angles and points of view this book has offered! I never once doubted that I'd love another one of Hallee's books!! She always keeps me on my toes wanting to read more of her work and to find out what happens to her characters. Her books are always so detailed oriented right down to what they eat for breakfast!! I love how she builds up her characters and gives them such meaningful stories!!
The 2nd book in the Song of Suspense series from Hallee Bridgeman is, of course, fantastic. I could barely put the book down, I was so captivated. Hallee really knows how to pull you into her stories, and best of all, this is pretty clean Christian romance. Be sure to also read A Melody for James, and all of Hallee's other fantastic books!
I absolutely LOVED this story by Hallee Bridgeman. She is probably my all time favorite author anymore! She combines good Christian values with suspense, drama, and an overall great story every time and this time was no different! It was an amazing story that I enjoyed from cover to cover!
An Aria for Nick ( Christian Suspense) by Hallee Bridgeman Wow Hallee has really did it with An Aria for Nick. She has written a story full of action, suspense, and clean romance. I also like the way Halley brings out Christian Morals into her story. Her characters are so real and you feel like you are right there with them. I caught tears rolling down my cheeks a few times. Aria Suarez is eighteen at the start and in high school. She has dreams of becoming a professional Pianist. Well one day her dreams got shattered and she had to turn to something else. She has always had a crush for this certain boy in school, but he would not hardly have anything to do with her. In Aria's new job she has uncovered leads to possible nuclear plots that threatens the nation. There is only one person who can help her and he has been dead for a decade. Nick Williams was in high school with Aria and he thought she was to good for him. Nick was left by his mother to be with his abusive father. He would drink and take it out on Nick. Nick could hardly wait till he was eighteen to go into the Army, then he would be away from his father. The day Nick leaves for the Army Aria is heart broken. Things starts to heat up after Nick leaves. If you love action and lots of suspense and clean romance you will love this story. Who will help Aria out with what she had discovered? Her life is really on the line. I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review and I have given it.
I love Halle Bridgeman’s gift for writing great romance. This book took me by surprise when I discovered she is a very gifted suspense writer as well. This skill was illustrated some in a few of her Jewel series, but his book takes the prize let me tell you.
So the story is about Aria Suarez who finds leads to a possible nuclear threat. When she reports this, threats on her life become all too real. Nick Williams, the boy she fell in love with in high school, comes back in her life over ten years since she last saw him. He has to decide if he trusts her and if so, what to do next.
This story is action packed, full of romance, and a deep story of forgiveness. I highly recommend it to any suspense, romance and Christian fiction lovers.

Loved it action packed and wonderful story of how God works out things for us. Loved the setting for this book. There is never a dull moment in an Aria for Nick, from the first page to the last, it is nonstop action and suspense, mixed with a little romance. If you like Christian Mysteries, you will love an Aria for Nick, and I doubt you will want to put it down. This is definitely a novel deserving of five stars
The Song of Suspense series is the second I've read of Bridgeman's work, and overall I find them very fulfilling romances with real people and real issues. Bridgeman does not sugar-coat Christianity and I appreciate how her characters deal with strong issues such as abandonment, children out of wedlock, abuse, difficult childhoods and more. Although each book stands on its own, I read both the Jewel Series and the Song of Suspense Series in order and found that Bridgeman intertwines characters from previous books in the plot lines. For instance, she mentions the Viscolli Hotel (found in the Jewel Series) in the Song of Suspense Series, and introduces characters in one book that are fleshed out and in some cases, the star, in another book. It's like visiting old friends! Love Bridgeman's work. I have started on the third book in this series, and am patiently awaiting the release of number four!
To start with – I loved the title of this book as it cleverly included the names of both key characters! And then, I really loved the book! Romance, mystery, suspense, acronyms – it was all fantastic and I can’t wait to read more books by Halle Bridgeman! From the moment I began to read I was intrigued and pulled into the book. I couldn’t put it down. I loved the attention to detail in the descriptions of the characters – Nick’s contact lenses to disguise his eyes, Aria’s clothing (especially the yellow pants). But the book had more than just mystery and suspense; it also had the thread of forgiveness. Would Nick be able to forgive his father for the abuse he suffered as a child? This book was just excellent and I highly recommend it as one of the best books I read all summer!! I received this book from TBCN in return for my honest opinion.
I love how the Author created flashbacks within the story giving you the background of both the main characters in a way that you never got lost. Most Authors set up flashbacks within their storyline that makes it so that you never know when you are back in the present or still in the past.
It was great to see some of the characters from A Melody For James make cameos throughout the storyline. You see the relationship not just between nick and Aria but also between nick and his own father begin to heal after years of hurt that went deeper than even the physical pains. Aria a pianist turned nuclear engineer was suppose to be "handled" by Nick but in turn he helps her in away that it could have only been orchestrated by God.
So the Question is will past hurts get in the way of doing God's will? Will Aria be able to cope with seeing a man she thought she buried years ago suddenly appearing in her life?
All I know is Aria showed her strength even back in High School and even when her wrist was shattered. She did not wallow, she decided ok sense I can't live my dream I will go to Plan B. When she went to Plan B little did she know that God had a plan for her...A mission if you will.
I truly hope you enjoy An Aria For Nick because it will keep you on the edge of your seat!!!
"I was given a copy of this book by the author for an Honest review"
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I stayed up until almost midnight because I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!! It was so, so good!
The beginning had me hooked emotionally and then the suspense kicked in and my heart rate went up and I could not sleep until I knew what happened!!!
There are so many plot twists and surprises, some that are pretty sad, actually. I loved the string redemption theme/story line with one character in particular and I really appreciated, again, how Bridgeman talks about taking the regret for time lost and refraining it as God’s perfect timing.
Also, there were SO MANY tie ins to book one and The Jewel Anthology. I love when characters show up again. For example, Aria’s brother is the John Suarez from A Melody for James, and we get to see Jen Thorne again (and learn about what happened to her).
The physicality of the romance was not as intense in this book, maybe because of the constant vigilance they were under??? Anyway, I appreciated the lighter romance. I’d maybe say 18+ for this one and I still would caution those who have struggled with sexual addiction.
Content warning: talk of child abuse; some injury descriptions; brief foray into human trafficking situation for a mission
For a first time read by this author, I enjoyed the journey. And can't wait to read more. This story was about a man who grew up in an abusive home. Who fell for a young woman who he thought he was never good enough. They were raised in a military town. After graduating she was ear marked for being a concert pianist. He joined the military. But life has a way of sending them in directions never before dreamed of. This was about her new career in a different field due to a career ending injury. He was declared dead after a violent skirmish with enemy fire. This story has a good Christian faith subtitle in it. There was violence and enemy from within. Will they ever find each other? And will he ever listen to the spirit that he is good enough for her to love.
I was on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding as I read this story. Aria was told Nick was killed while in the service so when he shows up while on an assignment in the US, she is angry & hurt. She soon discovers she needs him to protect her when 2 very ruthless people are sent to kill her. It's an unbelievable time they have learning who has stolen a project she has developed that is going to be used to kill a lot of Americans if not stopped. Nick is very surprised when he discovers who is the mastermind behind the theft of Aria's project. I very much enjoyed this story. Ms. Bridgeman is an incredible storyteller.
I enjoy reading Hallee's Christian Romantic Suspense books. Her books have just the right amount of romance. I like Christian books with more suspense than romance. She is an excellent writer combining the message of our Lord as the characters deal with danger and love.
Love the characters and the mystery and intrigue. This author is blessed with guidance from God in creating interesting stories filled with excitement and adventure. I will be looking forward to another one of her books.
I loved this book! I loved Aria. I loved Nick. And I loved them together! The romance was great. I loved discovering their history together and seeing them fall in love as adults. The suspense part of the storyline was good as well. It is probably my favorite of the series!
So. Good. Think Jason Bourne and James Bond...all the suspense, the twists and turns, forgiveness and redemption. A fantastic story with fantastic characters, pardon me while I go track down the rest of the family's books.
This is the first book I’ve cried during for a good long while. Superb. Absolutely. The first book of this series was simply incredible and this book outshone even that one. I adored the military aspect. Wow. Another book that made me lose hours of sleep. Lol. I cannot wait to see what’s up next!
This is the first book of Hallee Bridgeman’s that I’ve read and definitely won’t be the last. Filled with both suspense and romance, it is a real page turner. I’m looking forward to reading more of her books.
