Matt Archer #4

Matt Archer: Bloodlines

Rate this book
When seventeen-year-old Matt Archer set out on his last mission in the Australian Outback, he thought it would be like every other hunt.

Not even close.

After only two days on the ground, his best friend is possessed, a long-lost family member has returned and hidden truths have come to the surface. Add in a coven of witches bent on bringing about the end of the world and, well, this trip has started to suck. Badly.

As his power and strength continue to grow, so does Matt’s concern that he’s becoming more and more like the creatures he’s been charged to hunt: a monster.

Faced with some of his biggest challenges to date, Matt has to decide what he needs to protect most—his family, his team…or himself.

I'm going to begin by saying I LOVE THIS SERIES! It just keeps getting better and better. Kendra, I believe, has developed a story and a character that is so admirable and completely addictive. Matt Archer is quickly turning into my new Harry Potter.

With each book, Matt faces horrors beyond his 17 years. However, he knows he has a duty and he will fulfill it or die. Kendra has written such depth in his character. He faces pain, guilt, and loss with such courage; it breaks your heart. He is an amazing hero!

Bloodlines, as you may guess, deal with family bonds. The last book left us meeting Matt's father for the first time. Matt spends a lot of time dealing with that new relationship. Also, it becomes apparent how important family history is to a knife wielder. Both Will and Matt will need to discover their family roots in order to grow stronger as a wielder. I really enjoyed this aspect of the storyline. Family blood is powerful and needs to be embraced and accepted.

Erik Archer, Matt's father, is still a complete mystery. He has many secrets about who and what he is. He is a total paradox. It will be interesting about the next book resolves his character and his relationship with Matt.

Another wonderful aspect of Kendra's storyline is her handling of Matt and Ella's relationship. It has turned into something that is very close and mature. I love that Kendra's writes in a way that is serious and not gratuitous in any way. I will say some of the guy trash talk is pretty humorous!

And last, Mamie ROCKS!! She has turned into a spectacular character. I won't say anymore; BUT Kendra takes Mamie to a whole new level.

As you can tell, I LOVED this book. It will be very difficult waiting for the final installment which will be released sometime this summer. However, it will give YOU plenty time to catch up with Matt and get ready for his final battle.

I have followed this series from the beginning and love the way Matt has matured. The characterization is brilliant, as are the settings. There is a definite flavor to each place portrayed. Tying all together is a masterful and many faceted plot structure. In this book, some of the threads are starting to come together for some surprising revelations.

In this book, with the inclusion of Eric Archer, Matt's father, there is a much deeper look at family dynamics, but Eric is still holding something back. Just when the teams think they have gotten a handle on the monsters, the rules are turned on their heads. A deeper mystery is unfolding and the culprit appears to be one step ahead, leading to a significant twist to the outcome. I think this might be my favorite book to date.

My only complaint is that I must wait for the next book and that book will be the last of the series. This is an excellent read and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

You can read this review and more on my blog:

I received a free copy of this book from the author via Reading Addiction Virtual Blog Tours in exchange for and honest review.

I am having a tough time writing a review for this book. Usually when I enjoy a book as much as I did this one the review just comes pouring out, but not this time. I think the problem is that I want to talk about too much! So many things happened in this story and I want to touch on them all, but at the same time I don't want to spoil anything. I think that the only way I will be satisfied with this review is if I just pick one aspect of the book and review that, and as long as I'm focusing this review on one thing I may as well pick the thing I love most about this entire series and that thing is Matt.

It's official, Matt Archer is my new favorite! Over the course of four novels I have been able to watch him grow from a boy into a man and from a man into a hero, and he is still just seventeen years old. I am surprised by how protective I have become of this character in such a short amount of time. I actually get angry because of all the responsibility that has been placed on his shoulders. At first I was baffled that so many adults would be willing to allow a child to take on such responsibilities, but as I have gotten to know Matt, I understand why. He is that one in a million type of hero. His strength and compassion run so deeply that it is not difficult to belive that he is the world's only hope. He has a seemingly endless amount of bravery and strength, saves thousands of lives on a regular basis, and yet feels guilt over every life that he has been unable to save.

I was glad to see that in this book Matt's burden was lightened some because he was able to share it with more people. Matt isn't alone anymore, and he now knows more about what is and isn't expected of him. Matt learns that Mammie, Will, and the other wielders are all necessary to save the world, and that is a huge weight off of his shoulders. Matt may be my new favorite hero, but there are several heroes in this story, and they are almost as amazing as he is.

I love how the relationships that Matt has with those around him were strengthened in this novel.

Matt and Ella are more deeply in love than ever, and I am finally satisfied with Ella's development as a character. She is a very sweet person who loves Matt more than anything and just the type of girlfriend he needs.

Mammie is still his rock, but Matt learns that she is even more incredible than he could have ever imagined, and I refuse to spoil anything, but I hope the author writes a book from Mammie's point of view some day. Please, Kendra?!

Uncle Mike continues to do the impossible and watch his nephew, who he loves like a son, constantly risk his life; and although he knows that there is no other choice, that doesn't mean that it is easy for him.

Matt and Will are still the monster hunting version of the Dynamic Duo, but this time Robin is just as important and almost as powerful as Batman. I am so happy that WIll and Matt have each other to go through all of this craziness with. They understand one another in ways that no one else ever will.

Even Matt's relationship with Tink, the spirit who inhabits his knife, gets stronger. She is finally allowing Matt to have some time where he is just human. Don't get me wrong, she still gives him a thump on the head when she thinks he needs it, but she is also more patient with him.

,And The man who Matt spent his entire life believing abandoned him and his family is suddenly back in his life, and Matt has to decide just how much he is willing to forgive.

While there is a lot of intricate character and relationship building in this book, I don't want to give you the impression that it was slow. I didn't think it was possible, but Matt takes on bigger and badder monsters this time. Good thing that Matt has a supernatural knife spirit who possesses him when he fights because he needs every ounce of his knife spirit's magic to deal with these monsters. At one point he battles over a dozen of these giants by himself with nothing but two blades! That was definitely my favorite action scene so far.

When I think back on how much happened in this novel, it is no surprise that I had a difficult time deciding what to talk about in my review, and this book moved constantly. if Matt wasn't killing something or saving someone, he was sharing a monumental moment with someone he loved. I have read series that took three books to accomplish what this one book did. Secrets kept being revealed, and my head is still spinning from all the twist and turns.

When the final book comes out I will be conflicted over whether I should read it right away or wait a while. On one hand I can not wait to read how the story ends, but on the other hand I don't want to have to say goodbye to Matt. It has been a pleasure reading about all of his adventures and the different characters that make up his world. One thing I know for sure, is that it has been a wild ride that I will never forget!

Because of language, violence, and mild sexual content, I would recommend this book for ages 15 and up.

Top of the Line Writing!

This entire series knocks the top off the tops in this line of story. I am about as far from being the intended audience as it's possible to get, so how did Highley grab me and hold me? Be like Kipling's mongoose --go and find out. But read the series in order please, or you will be hopelessly confused in no time at all.

"When I was fourteen, I picked up a knife and started a fight that was named as mine long before I was born. When I was fifteen, I was forced into a war against creatures the rest of humankind should never know about - and they won't if I have anything to do about it. When I was sixteen, I became a slave to my destiny, and the spirits who guided it.

Now I'm seventeen, and the fault, a man once said, is not in our stars, but in ourselves. Or in my case, my blood. Which is why I was chosen... and why I have to fight.

My name is Matt Archer. And I am my father's son."

This series just keeps getting better and better! The plot is fantastic, the character development is phenomenal, and the battle scenes actually seem realistic! Well, as realistic as they can be with Tink and Coach Shaw (the knife spirits) shooting Matt and Will up with their special brand of other-worldly mumbo jumbo. Oh, and then there's the witches. You can't forget the witches.

Bloodlines is probably my favorite of the Matt Archer series so far. All of the characters have come such a long way from the beginning of Monster Hunter, and I loved watching them change this whole time. Bloodlines shows us entirely different sides of many of the characters, and we even get to meet a few more special ones as well. While the end of Legend briefly (and I mean very briefly) introduced us to a very important new character, there are some other ones that we've never heard from before. Such as those witches I was talking about.

The novel is filled with the perfect twist of action, adventure, comedy, mystery, and that little bit of romance that I've come to love in this series, and I'm so glad the story is continuing. For some reason, while I was reading this, I had thought that it was the last book, and you have no idea how excited I am to be wrong! There's still one more left, and I'll definitely be reading it as soon as I can!

The novel starts up right where Legend left off, which is definitely a good thing because that was certainly a cliff hanger. Kendra C. Highley seems to have a habit of ending her books that way, but I'm very happy to report that this ending wasn't quite as nerve-wracking as the others. Kendra seems to have mastered the perfect balance between enough suspense at the end to keep the readers pining for the last book and substantial closure to make sure they don't want to tear the book in half at the end. Which would be kind of unfortunate for me because I was reading Bloodlines on my Kindle.

Probably my favorite part of the book were the new monsters, especially the bears at the end. I can't really tell you what they do, but I will let you know that it is equal parts amazing and heart-breaking. We saw part of that side of some of the other monsters in earlier books (I think it was with the Cats?), but it's so much stronger here. To say that the monsters have developed with each eclipse would be an understatement, and it's incredible to see what they're capable of now. I can't tell you any more than that, so you'll just have to read the book to see what I'm talking about! Trust me, it's worth it.

Probably the biggest surprise of the novel is the identity of the next shaman. I really didn't see that one coming (I was personally voting for him/her either being from China or Australia), but when I think about it, it really makes sense. I was definitely shocked, but I can't deny that it fits, and I really think that it furthers the story. Sometimes in books that I read, big reveals just kind of annoy me because all they're there for is the shock factor. That was certainly there with this next shaman, but I am completely convinced that the story is going to be better because of it. I just can't wait to see where it takes us.

Man this series just keeps getting better and better. I said in my book one review that I ended up liking this series even though it starts with Matt being 14 years old. It was so much like when I read the Harry Potter series. It’s like Matt is my new Harry Potter and that’s a huge complement. Instead of a wizard we have a monster hunter, he has the spirit knife, with the spirit that is in his head and makes him stronger and faster and more. It’s a unique story and a heck of a ride.

In this one, much like the name points to, is about family bloodlines. We met Matt’s father for the first time in the last book, and in this one he really still is a mystery.

Matt finds out that family history is very important to being a knife wielder.

I always like Matt’s older sister Mamie, and in this one she just impresses me even more. I like how Kendra takes Mamie to a whole new level. Loved it.

I do not want to say more, you just have to read this series,

I can’t wait for the next book, I am really wanting to know what will happen next.
Overall I just love this series.

I highly recommend for teens and adults both, boys and girls, Both will love this.

I give 5 out of 5 stars

I was provided this book from the author for my honest review.

Another 5-star read, I seriously CANNOT get enough of these books! Can I have some more please??

Full review to come soon.

Review:

Let me start off by saying that there is a world beyond mainstream books and authors guys. I was never exposed to indie and self-published authors until I started my blog. A few years ago, I received an invite to participate in a blog tour for Matt Archer Monster Hunter, Ms. Highley's debut YA novel about a 15-year-old boy who hunts monsters. To say the least, I was skeptical but I decided to give it a try. Now we're up to Matt Archer: Bloodlines and participating in that tour was one of the best decisions I've made.

It's not often you find a YA book written in the perspectie of a teenage guy. And when you do, if you're female at least, it's not always easy to relate to the voice. But I never had a single problem in this books. Ms. Highley captured the teenage boy persona PERFECTLY@ Matt acts and things exactly how you would expect a teenage boy to act and think! What I love so much about this book and Matt Archer Legends (MA3) is that he has grown up so much since joining the army, yet he is still a kind about things, like having sex with this girlfriend or dealing with the return of his .

I also like that there is no love triangle, and that the entire book doe3s not revolve around romance! That is rare in the YA universe and extremely refreshing. There were times when I actually forgot Ella existed!

I also love that Ms. Highley really seems to know what she's talking about as far as the military stuff goes. This reads as someone who knows their stuff, now someone who just did some shoddy research. The mix of science and magic is also a good aspect of this story!

All of the characters in this story are amazing! TINK! She reminds me of Siri with her snark! Will is fantastic. Mamie is...well she is freaking awesome! I love Johnson..and maybe it's just me but Johnson seems a little attached to Mamie! I don't remember if he's married, but if not...hmmm? Even Davis has grown on me! :)

As you can tell, I love these books! They are more well written and have a better story line that most big name books! These books should be movies. Without a doubt! I will come up with my preferred case once I figure them out! But seriously, Paramount, Dreamworks, someone PLEASE get on this! Thanks!!

Ms. Highley, you have an amazing talent! Can't wait for MA5!!!!

so much is going on and it just ensnares you more. Matt is dealing with life as it goes. ella is his peace but she is struggling. Will is now a wielder but he is put in danger and Matt may lose him for good.

Back in the outback and this time more is at stake. Life hasn't been easy for Matt. He is still struggling with accepting all about his knife spirit, dealing with the razzing of his awesome crew, the guilt of death is really burdening him more and more, his nightmares are darker and his past he didn't really know would effect him comes straight into his world.

Now besides monsters he has a monster in the terms of witches to deal with. He finds out more of the puzzle and how the witches play a role in the evil of what is happening. They fight dingoes, spiers and strange spikey things but the biggest fight for matt is from within.

Matt is struggling with the ideas of losing all that he loves. He struggles with his wanting to make his uncle proud while keeping him safe. He struggles with the thought of losing his family. Trying to accept his fate and what it will do to his family. All the while growing up and becoming who he wants to be.

this book will have you love his group of guys more as they see him for more than just a kid and monster hunter but as Matt the person. You fall more for Will who adds laughter and smiles to this motley crew and you see a new element of family and love be brought into the picture.

As we get closer to the end fight, we have more at stake and matt has more to deal with and accept. He has gone through such a transformation and dealt with so much you wonder how much more can this poor guy take.

A great fun reading book that will have you begin to see the whole picture of the monsters and why they are here, matt's role and what is really happening with everyone and how they fit into the puzzle.

Great Book! I loved all the action! this book had so much action I was falling down with exhaustion along with the characters...lol..but it was so real I could see it play out in my head like I was watching it on t.v. and I totally loved it! these books should so be movies or a T.V. Series!

Kendra C. Highley is a incredible writer, her characters fairly leap off the page! The monsters were terrifying, the heroes brilliant and strong and the villain totally dark and evil, but at the same time I found it still had a touch of innocence and whimsy about it.

Matt Archer may only be seventeen but hunting monsters is what he does, what he is destined to do and what he is trained to do. All of this still doesn`t prepare him for the mission he is about to face when a long lost family member is thrown into his mission and his best friend gets possessed by a demon.

With evil Witches, monsters galore and a new evil brewing, Matt is sure that their luck will start to run out soon. When Matts sister is kidnapped and two girls are killed, he is sure that will be the end of him, as his power and strength continue to grow, so does Matt’s concern that he’s becoming more and more like the creatures he’s been charged to hunt: a monster. Will he get to his sister in time? and if he can't save her how can he be expected to save the world?

This book was wonderful! I really enjoyed all the characters, although I think I have to say that Will and Matt's little sis were two of my fav characters. I really liked all the action in the story it really kept you on your toes and kept the book flowing at all times.

I highly recommend this series to one and all! if you haven't read it do so today!

Did I enjoy this book: Yes. Yes. Yes.

Bloodlines had me on the edge of my seat, glued to my Nook. I couldn’t put it down. (I had to a few times . . . life obligations . . . but I didn’t want to.) This series is amazing. I love it, love it, love it.

So many things happen in this book. I will not spoil it. Read this series. (It was so good that I can’t even write in complete sentences. Those who have read, and love, this series will understand.)

Let me just say: Mamie!?!!?!?! I knew something but . . . WOW!!! And Johnson knowing/suspecting what he did!?!?! The hunts? Matt’s dad. Ann. Carrie. Wow. Loved it when Will started speaking French. Loved it when Matt had to deal with both knife spirits. All fantastic. All vital to the story. All made it jaw-dropping, exciting, stressful, amazing — you name it.

Well-played at the end. Well played. I believe the first words out of my mouth were, “Holy Crap.” Followed by a distressed sigh. Let’s just say, I cannot wait for book #5.

Would I recommend it: Absolutely!!!!

Will I read it again: Absolutely!!!! I can’t wait for Matt Archer #5. Cannot wait.

I do not know how she does it, but Kendra always comes up with riveting adventures for Matt and his bestie, Will. I have read all the books in this series; always with eager anticipation to devour the next one, too. I love the action and the adventure best. The fast pace keeps my interest and the story rarely, if ever, lags. I can always count on Kendra to keep expanding the scope and scale of each new book; adding detail to the alternate Earth in which the action takes place.

I think Matt is learning and growing into a fine young man. I love the family dynamics; especially Matt’s complicated feelings about his father. While the love abounds, duty can sometimes cause Matt and those close to him to struggle with mixed emotions. For me, this added depth adds believability to the story. Even Tink seems to be evolving, becoming slightly less rigid. I am pleased that she and Matt are solidifying their partnership; each better utilizing the other’s strengths.

This book was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.

When last we left Matt his best friend was possessed, his knife spirit had disappeared, and his father had shown up. If you are like me you couldn't wait to see what happens next. You won't be disappointed.

Yes, there is monster hunting in this book, but it is secondary to the characters. We get to see relationships grow and change - between Matt and his father, his sister Mimi, and others. There's tragedy. There's suspense. There's a point where I was so involved in what was going on that I missed my stop on the metro. ooops.

Kendra's books have been growing increasingly more adult and this is seen in this book - everyone is growing up and you're starting to see hints of who they'll be as adults. When Matt decides what he wants to do after the monsters are gone I actually teared up.

I don't know how this is going to be wrapped up in only one more book, but I look forward to finding out. Especially since we once again ended in a cliffhanger.

And just when I thought Kendra couldn’t possibly top her last book, she does it again. Wow! This series keeps getting better and better!

With the end rapidly approaching, Matt’s enemies are getting smarter and more plentiful. The monster fights are intense, and with Matt’s estranged father thrown in the mix, he’s got problems on every level.

I expected to dislike Matt’s father, but Kendra manages to make me care about what happens to him. I haven’t completely forgiven him, but I’m much more interested in his story. And it doesn’t hurt that the man is a total bad@#$. Almost as bad@#$ as Mamie turns out to be.

I’ll step away from the spoilers and just say that the revelations in this book are awesome. I loved learning more about Matt (and Will’s) family history. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

I HIGHLY recommend this series!

Matt's best friend and the newest weilder on the team is possessed and it's up to him to find a way to save him. But with Tink MIA he has to use his own wits to figure out what to do and on the heels of that comes the shocker of the year with the entrance of his long missing father.

Between his best friends demonic insanity, family craziness, and witchs coming into the war with a vengance,Matt has more than ever to contend with. The Outback might not a been fun on his first trip, but it was a cakewalk compaired to what he's facing now.

He's becoming a leader and learning more about his role and what it means for him and those he's closest to. He's stronger, faster, smarter and more determined than ever to do what's right in the face of danger.

The story is more intense and is crazier than ever and I enjoy it more and more with every turn of the page.

*Spoiler Alert* Possible spoilers in this review.

I can not believe this book. I mean Matt has to stab Will. As we know from the last book Matt's dad is going to play a big role in the book. We find out why he feels he can not come home again. Most important we figure out we figure out why Mimi is so important. So there are lots of surprises in store.

I can not wait till the next book. I want to know what is going to happen next. We are getting close to D-day and I want to see how the respective battles turn out. I do not just mean Matt's. His sister is going play a big role on what happens next. The book ends at a cliff hanger though. Well you have to read the book to figure it out. I don't want to give anything too big away.

The Matt Archer series continues with a strong 4th installment. Bloodlines begins with resolving the cliffhanger at the end of Book 3. Although this book seemed to be a little less action packed than 3, the plot is solid in this book. We learn a few more interesting revelations with Matt and his friends in their fight against the Shadow Man. I definitely noticed that Highley is gathering all the pieces of the puzzle for the series finale. (Book 5 releases the summer of 2014). I really enjoy and connect with the characters. Despite Matt's supernatural knife friend, he is still a teenager, trying to find his way with friends, girls, and life all while battling the forces of evil. I am looking forward to the finale.

I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review.

Matt Archer: Bloodlines begins right where Matt Archer: Legend left off. There is a lot more action as well as heartache in this book. There is also more of a variety of monsters, as well as demons. There are also a couple more surprises. It is easy to see that things are gearing up toward something big.

By this time, I’ve gotten a little attached to the characters. Matt and Will continue to grow and mature more quickly than most teens. There are several relationships at different stages that are well portrayed.

Matt Archer: Bloodlines is written well and is fast reading. I definitely recommend it and, as I’ve said in other reviews of these books, it stands alone but would be much better if you read them all in order.

As with the first 3 books in the series, I hated to keep reading...because if I kept reading, I'd come to the end and then have to wait an eternity for the next book to be written. It's been awhile since I finished book 3, but it all came back to me immediately within a few pages. Julie isn't the only bad-ass in the scenario...they all step up to the plate in Bloodlines. Kendra C. Highley, you're a rockstar!

*I received a free copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

A coven of witches are suspected as being responsible for calling all the deadly monsters that Matt and the team continue to face as they move operations to Australia for the next battle. A new member to the team has an effect on Matt while Will has to face a challenge of his own.

These books continue to be really exciting as we enter the fourth adventure. The eclipses are becoming more dangerous each time with multiple monsters appearing and the battle of Oz is the most deadly yet. The scene also switches back to where it all began in Montana which was nice as well. As for the monsters we had the dingoes, super intelligent bears and the creature I would fear most in the world...big ass spiders! Yes being an arachnophobe, I was hoping these guys would show up at some point so Matt could kill some of the creepy gits!

Ha Ha! I was right! Matt's Dad is the CIA man sent to join this mission! I just knew that he was going to feature at some point-and I liked him. He was cool and deadly just like James Bond! Erik's mixed welcome from his wife and kids, and open hostility from Mike were nicely played out in this book. I also had suspicions about the role that Mamie was going to be playing in this series as I caught a few hints that the author left about her-see where she comments on Matt and Ella's relationship and you'll see the hint. She always seemed able to find out things much easier than Julie which showed intuition but I always wondered if there was a bit more to it. These two additions to the story were very interesting as was the section with the super intelligent bears. It was quite a touching scene actually and I felt as bad as Matt did about what he had to do.

Again the plot switches between Matt the monster killer and Matt with his family struggles and that is what makes these books so enjoyable to read. The author drops you right into this family and everything they have to face so it is impossible not to care about them all. It is the same with the Green Berets. With the danger they face and without them all having a magic knife, you know there will be casualties but you just hope it isn't your favourite that gets hurt. I was very upset at the tragedy in this book. Damn you author!!!

The big thing in this book was the big cliffhanger at the end. It was great! It left you thinking 'what the hell do they do now??? What does this mean for the next book? Do they all go rogue, which would be really amazing? Oh I hope so! I hope we don't have a lot of stuff about them going before committee's to explain themselves!

I cannot wait for the grand finale to this series!

will is possessed, the camp is under attack, & matt's wielding the power of two knives all whilst trying to cope with his fathers sudden appearance.
and thats just the first couple of chapters.

this epic beginning is just the beginning of what this book has to offer.
there's also the witches coven, ritual sacrifice, the secret origins of the wielder's ancestors, the loss of good men, a tense family reunion,
mamie's big secret, and a glode trotting father son spy trip.
all of that along with some big battles a good dose of epic action and some love thrown in, yet you will still wish the book was bigger.
the rollercoaster ride of emotion that is the penultimaate book of the series even manages to hit you with a cure ball off a cliffhanger that will leave you counting the days till book 5.

i for one can't wait for the next book and will be re-reading the series for the dozenth time whilst awaiting it's release
pick up this book and i guarantee you will not be disapointed.
it's perfect for all, young adult & adult.

On the final book before the series ender, Kendra C. Highley takes things up a notch as Matt’s worlds unravels before his very eyes.
In a fast-pace, engaging story, with it’s own twists and turns (and Matt’s sister own terrifying little secret - Go Super Mamie!), Kendra weaves around us a spell worthy of the very witch coven Matt has to protect the world from. The only upside, of course, is that it won’t hurt us much besides keeping us up at night with whatever device we have to read this.

A fantastic tale, that has come to show how much the story has progressed, promising a conclusion that will blow our minds out.

Without giving any spoilers, let me just say that this book is so far my favorite in the series. We learn more about the knives and what may happen in the future as we follow Matt and Will. The action picks up and some great battle scenes play out. The deeper you get into the book, the more you fall in love with this story and the characters. I definitely recommend this to young adult and above viewers, and I hope you enjoy the series as much as I have!!
(Rated 5 stars for great content, character development, and story line)

While I wish that we could've gotten what happened right after the ending of Legend, really loved this book, Matt getting to spend some time with his dad, and yeah, just such a freaking amazing book!
