"I dropped to the ground right there, sitting at the foot of his grave. There was nothing to be said. He was buried six feet beneath me. And I felt like my thoughts were buried there with him."
A dark cloud has settled over March Howe’s world. Avery’s death was horrific on its own but it’s also drudged up memories of her adoptive parents’ deaths, none of which she seems to have dealt with. And the emotional pain is as bad, if not worse, than the physical kind she suffered in that silver prison at the cat lair. What’s more—this darkness represents more than just her grief. There are some shady things happening in Wycherley House and March has to pull herself together and discover the secrets before it’s too late.
Virtually all her relationships are strained, to say the least. She feels as distant as ever from Gaia and her school friends. And that trio of guys? All but obliterated. Nightmares as repetitive as they are confusing have claimed her sleep, and her waking hours are spent in self-inflicted solitude. And what draw her out are the curious mysteries now creeping into her new life with the ravens. Fortunately, March makes some new friends, who each have her back and unwittingly help her uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Jasper Kellum is having a major life crisis that seems to have only one outcome. And his sister just won’t stand for it.
In Book Six of the Lone March Series, March Howe has to force herself out of the gloom of recent events all on her own and move on, if she is to have any hope of saving herself or her family. Forgive and Forget is a hard rule to live by when past enemies come suddenly back into her life. But they just might save her skin in the nick of time. The question is: Will these rescues be enough to propel March into the unknown, on a new quest to save her kind, or will the last of the were-wolves eliminate this prospect with an all-out were war?
I am the writer of The Lone March Series. I have been writing since before I could read (lots of cursive lower-case e's when I transferred my daydreams to paper). Telling stories isn't just a passion for me--it's a byproduct of living. I am also a singer/musician. Some of my songs can be found, tucked in the corners of the internet, if you know where to look.
What a great story this turned out to be!! I was laughing a little because March has all her boyfriends in the same place at once! Lol to funny but I still have my hopes as to who she should be with forever I hope, Greyson
Moon-Wake is #6 in the series and probably my favorite book to date in the Lone March series. March has come a long way in a short period of time. She has had so much to overcome but manages to gain much needed clarity and even some maturity along the way. The grief she feels over the loss of Avery is palpable and heartfelt and for a time it is all consuming but something she must experience on her own and come to terms with and as she does so she begins to come into her own. I really enjoyed reading the different POV throughout the book, it helps pull the story together, I honestly could not put it down. I look forward to see how this story will conclude and of course see who March will end up with in the end, I'm definitely pulling for Greyson, can't wait for the next installment!
Wow amazing book. The beginning was so sad. I love the way the author gives you insight and makes you think. I love the whole Mother Earth goddess and the stillness. How we are given questions and answers but need to follow our own paths to the conclusions we all must choose. March has so many choices in her life to make. But I am hoping in her journey she will find the other werewolf females. I still want her with Ethyn but understand she can't but that is my hope. Or maybe this Ash guy. I really so not like Greyson or Jasper for her. Love how she was finally reunited with her birth father and they began a relationship. Very excited for next book.
Love the whole series so far, this is book 6! As with the other books in this series, I couldn't put it down at all and it ended in another cliffhanger :( I checked the authors site an could't find a time frame of when to expect the next (and supposedly last book of the series). So sadly I am forced to wait to find out what happens next. Lots of twists and turns, Moon-Wake seemed a bit more emotional than the others. Not that I minded, just an observation. Definitely recommend reading and buying this series! I have read them all several times and sat on the edge of my seat clutching my kindle every time!!
I have enjoyed this series a lot, but this book was drawn out and too religion-based for me. I don't like the abrupt change to many of the characters also. (Greyson, Jessi, Melissa, etc.). Explanations were given, but I didn't fully buy into some of them. And the angst-theme almost overran the religious theme. It was bad. I will definitely read the next book in the series, but I don't like that the characters are whiny brats one minute, and prophets the next. It was a skimming book.
I have loved this series, from the start. I cannot wait for "Moon Call" to come out! READ THIS SERIES! Yeah, I am not giving a thing away, this series deserves to be read, and I can't trust myself not to get to excited, and spill some spoilers. So, in short if you love wolves, and action, then this book is right up your alley.
