I read the author's other works like SPARK and FEYLAND-THE DARK REALM and absolutely loved both.I am a big fan of the author's writing style and imagination so I bought this one. I liked this story and it was a good addition to the series but I was disappointed with the very short length. I wanted a little more . I expected it to be closer in length to The First Adventure (#0.5). Very absorbing reading. A lot of adventure. I loved the book and the entire series. I would highly recommend them!
This was a very short novella in the Feyland series and in this book we get to meet Violet a young teen who is looking to escape her dreary life by entering into the fantasy world of Feyland the highly immersive, full simulation game which everyone was raving about!! However she was in for more than she bargained for!! My only problem with this book was that it was too short and I would have loved to know how Violet's experience in Feyland continues!! As usual these books are a thrill to read.
This tale grabs the reader quickly. You can't help but immerse yourself in the world of Feyland. The characters pull you in and keep th story flowing. While the world itself makes you wish you were there. Afterall, what kid hasn't wished for an immersive videogame.
I forgot I had this book in my ereader. Found it yesterday and loved the short story. Throughout the Feyland books, I've loved this world and the characters in it. I was immediately immersed (again) in the world with this short story. It's a great little taste of Feyland.
I received this digital short story as a reward for backing a Kickstarter project. This was a nice, quick little read. I think it serves well as an introduction to this world Anthea Sharp has created, and it definitely has me curious about the rest of her writing.
This is a great short story set in RPG "Feyland" created by VirtuMax and accessed via the VirtuMax's FullD gaming system. I think I first read it in an anthology somewhere, and I believe you can get it free somewhere, too. It's a fascinating concept, made quite real in the Feyland and Feyguard series. The story would be best appreciated after reading the Feyland and Feyguard series, which are well worth the time to read them and quite enjoyable in their own right. I recommend binge-reading them for the fullest impact.
A great introduction to the gaming simulation of Feyland. Violet managed to make it home in time to inaugurate the system. The interface is impressive: like being in a simulated world. Or was she? The cover appears to be that of a ranger: not her choice of avatars, a knight. In a LitRPG story, the avatar is able to complete quests and progress to other levels, but no significant story plot was revealed.
Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Haunting. Scary. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.
I liked this story and it was a good addition to the series but I was disappointed with the very short length. I know it's just a short story/novella but seemed like you could have given us a little more. I expected it to be closer in length to The First Adventure (#0.5). If you like the rest of the Feyland series it's still worth the quick read.

Not what I expected, and the trinket was also not what I thought it would be; it does get the sense of the series, and would be well followed by Feyland:The First Adventure.
