Colt is an alpha who just watched his entire pack crumble around him. As second-in-command, he feels responsible for the loss of the Wolf River pack. Hunter has his own worries; not limited to sharing his role as second-in-command of the Cypress Ridge pack with Colt after the two packs merge. When these two alphas meet, the bond is instantaneous. But love? That takes time. The two men must first learn to give up control and enjoy the surrender.
Join Hunter and Colt as they feel the burn in the final Cypress Ridge Novella. If you love fated mates, pack drama, hot shifters, and all the steam you can handle; you'll love meeting the Cypress Ridge Pack. This series should be read in order, but each book is a complete story with a HEA. Character introductions and larger storylines run throughout, making it a better experience to start at the beginning. This series has ongoing trigger warnings for violence/blood, minor character death, and breeding kink/pregnancy.

*I received an arc of and am voluntarily leaving a review.*
Burn is the last installment in the Cypress Ridge novellas. I just finished all these novellas in a day and I absolutely cried after I finished. This series was so good. It was a series of interconnected standalones about different couples involved in some way shape or form with the Cypress Ridge Shifter Pack. This last novella is about the second in commands to Alphas Maya and Mateo, Hunter and Colt. Two alphas are fated mates. Is that even possible? How will it work? Can they learn to either ignore or embrace their mate call and work together, or will their problems threaten to break their roles within the pack?
I loved the way this series ended. It was so nice to hear about all the other couples we’ve met and see where they are now, along with the newer members of the merged packs and where they are now. Just like each novella before, there is a HEA but Elle makes us WORK for it this time. I am so happy I stumbled across Elle’s TikTok one day and found this series. I cannot wait to see what’s next!
I liked this novella a lot, it's probably my favorite in the entire series. I can't believe it was the last one. The plot was on point, the spice was well written and the romance was heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. This novella gave me all kinds of feelings, but the epilogue ( I usually don't enjoy epilogues a lot) gave me a big smile.
I don't want it to be over! Each couple has brought so much to the entirety of the Cypress Ridge pack and I've loved them all. So excited for our 2nd in command Alpha's to get their story... even if they are stubborn and hardheaded and have quite a bumpy road to get to their HEA.
One I was so annoyed by Hunter I was like BRO WHY YOU BEING SO MEAN LIKE WTF but at the same time understand the conflicting and confusing and the tension was write well. I’m sad about the ending but so happy they all got their happy endings!
Another great story! I can’t believe it’s over but I definitely recommend checking out this series. All of the characters are really great & the spice is the perfect level.
Okay, I know I said Jude and Archer were my favourite……. But it has come to my attention that Hunter and Colt need me to protect them from the world lol. I love these men with my whole heart, and I will come for anyone who says otherwise. I was heartbroken multiple times, and have been mended by their love. The epilogue had me grinning like an idiot. Loved it. Elle finished this series with a banger, and I’m sad to see them go, but Cypress Ridge is exactly where it needs to be. I’ll be rereading this series for comfort for years to come. Book 7, officially, is my favourite.
