And to think I was not going to read this book after JS last book dealing with the subject of supposed betrayal.
This one was great and as safe as they come. They are both faithful even if they believe the other is not and they both want to do what is right, eventually.
They find their way back to each other and I loved it.

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD!

Now after the first three chapters I was getting mad and confused. Like I was left out of something. But when it all cleared up and he was physically sick, I just cried my eyes out. That scene played out so well in my mind.
It was a good thing that the condom broke or those bitches would have gotten away with it.
Or maybe he would have been looking for her anyways. It made me so happy when she punched that bitch in the face!
Yeah baby!
You go girl!
Seriously this book had a lot less swearing and smut then usual. However, it had a story so I can trade some for the other.
Enjoyable and a keeper.
5 star read.

Well someone just phoned this in

Okay Jordan Silver is no Nora Roberts, we all know that but I have liked several of her stories. This one was just not that great. It took me 30 minutes max to read it and it was just not that great. I did like the story line, secret baby and misjudged heroine, and hero who still wanted her even though he thought she done him wrong but it lacked something. It was just not very readable. I didn't like the past story in every other chapter and back to present day. That is just me for sure. The lack of editing, and some of the dialogue just felt off. I liked how the villain was exposed and it was a twist I never saw coming but I just couldn't rate it above a two. Just not as good as usual. A good editor would make this more palatable. The bones were there just not enough flesh. And I don't mean sex scenes. I liked the epilogue though and I am not sorry I read it. It's in KU so no money lost and it is safe.

2,5 happy stars!!!
Sweeter than Jordan Silver's other books..

It was romantic-ish and of course with a nice HEA in the end!
I liked it! The characters have many problems..
Colin is not as bright as he thinks! And Amber is dull..
But they are way better than you think at first..

Although the story doesn't make much sense it's kinda cute..
I think that the author is changing her style and that is very fortunate because Lyon's Crew will always be one of the worst books i ever read!
She is more mature now at her writing style, although far from great still, yet she tries a lot..

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- I liked Colin's parents..
- Their story was way too rushed..
- I liked that Amber talked on her sleep..
- Maybe the author should think another backround for her MC's..
- I liked how possessive he was with his child..

I DL'd this one because so many said it was similar to JS's His Secret Child. The reasoning behind the heroine leaving was similar, but there are many, MANY harlequin stories with that same idea. The story in itself is different though IMO. This wasn't a bad story, but it didn't wow me like His Secret Child did. I think this one was a bit too short to be fleshed out property, to induce all the lovely angst that it could have.

Great

This was a great book to read. As always Ms. Silver writes another wonderful story. I wish it was longer.

I really enjoyed this book, I guess I was in the mood for a tortured heroine because that's about what she was. Colin and Amber met on a vacation and sparks flew they fell in love and didn't slow down for anything till Amber left. Now almost a year later Colin has tracked Amber down for revenge and for his son. But he soon realizes that what he finds isn't quite what he expects. Amber loves Coliin but can't figure can't out why he acts like the victim. When he comes she follows with no other choice, one minute Colin is hot and then cold, swinging between furious to loving.

When the truth is finally revealed Colin will be pushed to his limit and Amber and Colin may find that their love still has a chance. This was a really nice quick fun read. it was just what I was looking for with the exception that I would have liked Colin to have groveled more (hee hee). Overall this was a great, fast story about two people who loved each other so much they assumed to worst in their pain. This is my favorite book by Jordan Silver but I will be checking out more books by her when I am in the mood for a quick hot read.

nope.

Irredeemable hero. Horrible editing. Run on sentences. Had to keep rereading sentences for them to make sense without punctuation. Nope Hero was way too cruel. Beyond redemption. The threats he made? He WANTED TO R*PE HER. actually wanted to and barely stopped himself. Nope. The callous way he intended to remove her from their child’s life. He literally wanted to take this child away from his mother FOREVER. She was still nursing ffs. Nope. I am done with this author.

Meh. Not one of Jordan's better ones. Hero was far too harsh as per JS alpha's: they love you with all they have but once you make a mistake they start calling you bitch and start thinking of ways to hurt you....but once they are proven wrong you become Princess again and they expect to be forgiven for being shit to you. Meh. I don't do verbal abuse. Doesn't float my boat.

Colin was not even groveling. You call her a bitch so many times, planned to take her against her will (RAPE), use her body as you please, belittle her and many more shitty things and what do you say? "Please accept my humble apologies for the way I treated you" That's it? Boy you sound like a letter from Princeton! Get over yourself.

And the heroine was a push over. She was a doormat. She let Colin walk all over her and verbally abuse her and she's sitting here thinking about how much she loves him. Girl wtf? And then gives into him so easily. And then when he apologizes she asks "So are we okay? Do you forgive me for leaving?" Girl why are you the one groveling?

Imma go read Talon's Heart to wash away the awful aftertaste of this disaster

you know, Jordan Silver's books has kinda been my dirty little secret since I have discovered her with "Stolen".

i honestly feel that her books are a hit and miss. (i.e: stolen and one of her recent - Breeder) and i sometimes question things like can a 6 week old infant sit alone on a high chair?

all in all; i liked the book, the plot and the characters. i just wish that the h would have made the H grovel a liiiitle bit longer since he was a TOTAL GRADE A ASSHOLE in the 1st few chapters in the book. it was like:

colin: babe, i'm sorry
amber: 'kay
THE END

the plot is nice, and i would have loved it to be longer. (it felt like it has a little less sex compared to the her other books i've read, but i love it all the same :))

One year ago Colin Stewart was forced to take a vacation by his Mother. He went to the family's villa in the Greek Isles and met Amber. The two of them spent every minute together and quickly fell in love. He brought her back home with him and everything was going great until she disappeared one day. After a year of searching for her he finally finds her and his son, Colin Anthony who he didn't even know about. Both of them were lied to and manipulated by the same two people that wanted Amber out of the picture. They both pissed me off although her more than him because she should have talked to him before she ran away.

H & h fell in love on vacation in Greece, return to the states with plans to be together and she disappeared. He finds her a year later with his baby (no spoiler here it happens on the 3rd page). He's furious and wants to hurt her. No cheating and both celibate during separation. Some of their courtship is recalled in flashback.

I liked it and Jordan Silver's intense heroes are just what I was in the mood for. The h is sweet.
A lot of punctuation missing and the circumstances of her disappearance are really murky until the end, I think if the author would have given more details it would have explained the H's extreme anger. I enjoyed it though and I wish it was longer.

Well it really isn't a 4 star story, but I just loved Colin's remorse. I was delicious. Not an easy feat to create an alpha hero and have him feel remorse without making him seem weak. Amber's a bit of nothing like most heroines in Jordan Silver's stories. She's sweet, simple and affectionate. But really, my cat has more personality. I feel like the heroines are just there as a foil for the hero and his tale in books by this author. That's Ok though, it's still highly entertaining.

Okay WTF did I just read?!! It seems like 4 different people have written this book. It was all good and angsty with proper story progression at first. Then it was hurried and missed a lot of details and became somewhat comical in the middle. Then it suddenly became a cheap soap opera style drama at the end. I mean, I couldn't count the amount of "Bitch" word being used. And the end drama was hilarious and embarassing as hell. Such immature writing I doubted if the author gave some teenager to write or something. It was awkward with secondhand embarassment. 2 stars because the angst was good in the beginning.

this book was wacky

This book was wacky- but as soon as I get on a Jordan Silver kick it is hard to get off. I’m so glad that Colin finally listened to Amber.

The formatting and editing made it hard to know whose pov it was. The characters were fun. The plot was good.

I didn’t care for the flashbacks cause they didn’t exactly add anything to the story over all. But I did like it.

This story was honestly tame for Silver. I wish we had had more to do with the characters after the reveal.

Beautiful!

This book was so sweet. I could not put it down. Amber and Colin were done so dirty. They both were told lies. That took them away from each other for a year. Colin missed so much including her son birth and 1st year of his life. What I like most about this book is how they finally got justice against the people who tried to ruin their lives.

Colin and Amber meet while on vacation and a relationship blossomed. Fast forward and they have married but she disappears. When he finds her and secret is revealed, Colin is out for blood. That is until the real truth comes out and the betrayal and deception is revealed. Colin and Amber find their way back to each other but not before the people that caused all the problems are taken care of!

Men! They never think!

Sometimes it's best if a person feels wronged they take the time to look at a situation from a different perspective. Then again men never really think when they feel they are in the right. Colin though does get his in the end while Amber gets the last laugh!

I enjoy all her books

This was a good story to see how communication is essential in a relationship. Jordan always writes good stories. I think I have read all her books. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Nothing like her usual, but I still loved it.

I love good story. This books was nothing like Mrs. Silver usual stories. There wasn't a controlling Alpha male going crazy over everything. This guy was sweet and loving. Enjoyed it.

One of the better ones

This book is similar to a couple of her others but I like it better. The H at least takes responsibility for his actions and grovels some. It's a re- read for me.

Short

Short but still good. I don't know where this book fits in but I'm assuming that this is one of Jordan Silver's early books because the other ones I've read aren't as choppy as this one. It's worth the time to read. Shirley
