From the time that I opened the book on my kindle, I was engrossed by Lyric's story. A tale of heartbreak, picking up the pieces, new romance, as well as huge arguments is what Save Me From Myself consists of. And where do I begin with David? David is what a woman envisions every southern gentleman to be. Charming, funny, and down to earth makes a perfect combination for a woman to fall head over heels in love. Lyric does not go looking for love, but love went looking for her.

She wants to start a new life in Nashwille, with a new job and a best friend there ... but she doesn't want to start a new relationship ... till the first night out in a new town when she meets a hot bartender David ... the pull between them is instant ...
David is so perfect ... he is nice, and very HOT ;)

Who said nice guys finish last? Well, whoever they were..they were idiots. From the starters, you meet Lyric, a woman who has never fully embraced how amazing she is, I find that completely identifiable. She has been brow beaten into accepting less than she deserves. Her last relationship brutalized her, it left something broken that I would have believed could not be fixed. Well, I was wrong. Enter stage left, David. Oh man. This delicious man is exactly what Lyric needs to heal those wounds. David has his life together and his priorities together, now all he has to do is get Lyric together. Can he save her from herself? Well after reading this book, if he can't save her, I am quite a detriment to myself, he is more than welcome to save me. ;) Excellent debut novel, Mosteller! I am ready for more!

Save Me From Myself is book 1 of 4 in the "Nashville Nights" series by Stacey Mosteller. This is also Stacey Mosteller's debut book and what an excellent book it is!

This is a story of love, loss, angst, starting over and second chances. Lyric and David had each endured a tragic event in their past lives which helped shape their views on love and trust.
Lyric had been to hell and back with a past relationship that once she finished her college degree, she moved to Nashville to escape her life in Manhattan that included her ex-boyfriend and her overbearing mother. The tragedy also left her questioning if a relationship is what she wants at this time when she meets David.
David oozes confidence and goes for what he wants, which she has a name and it is Lyric. But there is one thing that he can't stand and that is to be lied to. Each of them have to work on their insecurities and trust issues so their relationship can go the distance. If they don't, love may end up not being enough for the relationship to survive.

The secondary characters are wonderful and also add life and humor to the story. I can't wait to read more of them in the upcoming books and see how their lives turn up. There are questions lingering that need to be answered.

It is Lyric's and David's relationship that turns up the heat and the lovin' is HOT, HOT, HOT! The book has sexually explicit scenes that will leave the reader sweatin'. There are times were I laughed, sighed, got majorly upset and cried. Overall, this is a refreshing and entertaining first book by Stacey and looking forward to many more in the future.

p.s. LOVED David and totally my new book boyfriend. He can call me Darlin' or Princess anytime he wants.

If you are looking for sexy romance, with a light amount of angst a sexy male lead and cool supporting characters, this is it. The book is a great debut, and an awesome start to the series!

Writing: 4 stars. Minor mistakes here and there, specially punctuation and common grammar errors.
Heroine: 3.5 stars. Insecure, a bit immature. Her thoughts were over the top sometimes due to over-analizing.
Hero: Sexy, southern bar owner. Protective and more on the alpha than beta side. Confident and understanding.
Supporting crew: Awesome besties!

I loved this book!
David Pearson is one of the best book boyfriends ever! He's handsome, a gentlemen, sexy as hell, with a southern drawl that will have you quivering "darlin'"
Lyric is so sweet and loyal and scorned by a man!

When their paths cross, Lyric is taken back by his sweet southern charm, but has decided that a relationship just isn't what she needs after the long hell she just ran away from. But she's unable to resist David and all his gentlemanly ways! Lyric gets put in the middle of a precarious situation when she catches David's sister, Sarabeth, in a relationship she shouldn't be in. When Sarabeth threatens Lyric with blackmail, trust and loyalty get put to the test for love and family.

Great story!! Stacey Mosteller is DEFINITELY an up and coming author to watch!

The book begins with Lyric; such a great name- and her sister is Aria. I am thinking her family loves music! She is getting away from her past in Manhattan – away from her crazy cheating ex and her controlling mother, to make a new life in Nashville.


She is a great heroine, strong, sweet, and sassy! She’s been through so much and is trying her very best to stay positive and not let the negative things in her life take it over. At first, she seems a little introverted, but then I feel like she almost changes when she meets David. She also has a fantastic relationship with her friend Anna. Anna is hilarious – loud, opinionated and takes no crap from anyone. Their personalities go great together!

Enter David. You can tell he’s drawn to Lyric. But it is so hard for Lyric to trust again, especially after her dirty ex cheated on her. But David is determined and SO cute (and definitely hot…). With help from Anna and some text messages from David, Lyric begins to get over it. David is adorable. He is just a good guy- he doesn’t have to have a persona, and I wish more of him existed in real life. He treats Lyric with respect, and he would do anything to protect her.

David has a sister SaraBeth, whom he has raised, and I was not a huge fan! I cant wait to see her story too- because her plotline gets a little screwy. Lyric is caught between a rock and a hard place, when it comes to SaraBeth. She finds out a secret and doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t want to lie to David, but she doesn’t want to hurt him even more.

For me, the ending was great. There are a few things that weren’t tied up, but it’s a series and I look forward as the stories continues.




Oh, and David calling Lyric “Darlin’” is the Kellan Kyle equivalent of “Mornin’” Love it!

Save Me From Myself which we met Lyric Hayes who discovered her boyfriend Matt cheating on her and this was her last straw , so she decides to up and leave and move to Nashville and stay with her best friend Anna. Reading about Lyric's past we can gather that Matt is a complete jerk and that her mother isn't any better. Lyric moves to Nashville and meets the "Hottie Bartender" aka David Pearson , the pair take things slow as they are both battling past demons as David's parents passed away and now he is raising his sister Sarabeth aka SB. I really liked the character of David as he didn't judge Lyric and stood by her as much as he could and anyone who would knockout a guy for making a girl cry, is a must-have in my books.

This is book 1 of 4 in the "Nashville Nights" series. This is a beautiful story about second chances at love,starting over despite the past and all the baggage. David and Lyric are smart, loveable and yet still have insecurities when it comes to love and trust. The other characters in this book are also wonderful and I can't wait to read their stories! For this being a debut book for Stacey Mosteller she has done an amazing job! I totally fell for David and can't wait to see more of him and Lyric in the upcoming books!

Save Me From Myself is a debut book by Stacey Mosteller and it is book 1 of a 4 book series, which I have marked all to be read. For a first time author, this book HIT IT!!!

So you know when a book is good right from the prologue, and this had it. I love a book that has loss, love, angst, jealous ex-lovers ending and a do-over. We start off with Lyric walking in on her finance, Matt having sex with his co-worker Kimberly. Lyric has suffered terrible loss, and catching Matt has added to her pain. She decides to leave Manhattan and Matt and start over in Nashville. She goes there and stays with her friend, Anna. I loved Anna and Lyrics relationship. They were so supportive of each other and had each other backs. On her first night in Nashville, Anna and Lyric go to a bar, called Drench. That’s where Lyrics lays eyes on David. David sees Lyric and he feels something he hasn’t felt for a long time. Lyric and David have both suffered from past events.

Her past relationship with Matt, had her questioning if she was able to have a relationship with David. She wondered if the events that happened were really her fault. David, lord, that man is a walking god…sex on a stick. When Matt comes to try to get Lyric to come back home, David steps into alpha mode. I did mention there is an ex, right?

“Look you bastard I don’t give a f**k who you are, or what you think you know about Lyric. That girl right there, is f**king perfect.”

Lyric and David together is steamy, hot and damn sexy. Their connection is really strong that when they get together, it is like fireworks. The author has given us some really hot scenes that I found myself panting along with Lyric…I DID SAY DAVID WAS SEX ON A STICK!

“Please, David, Please touch me.”

“Damn baby you’re wet, that its Darlin, let me hear you, F**k you’re are so f**king beautiful Lyric. You coming right now is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m going to explode if I don’t get inside you.”

David and Lyric are working so hard to get over their pasts and move on. David does not do lies. While Lyric is still insecure with herself and has a tendency to run when things become to much. I loved watching how they fight to be together and to make it work. It was refreshing to read.

“Lyric I know that you are scared, but baby, you have absolutely no reason to be. I Love you darling. More than you possibly imagine.”

“I’m more than okay! In fact, I don’t think I could get more okay right now.”

I found myself laughing, crying, BEING REALLY PISSED OFF (ALMOST ENOUGH TO THROW MY KINDLE), I cried, I clapped and I even said a HELL-TO-THE-YEAH a couple of times. You will fall in love with Lyric and David, and find yourself wanting your man, or a man call you “DARLIN.” I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Once again for a debut author, she did exceptionally well. I really this think series is going to be a hit.

I absolutely loved this book right from the very beginning.

Lyric found herself re-starting her life in Nashville after she experienced a horrible, heart-sharttering accident and betrayal. Lyric was privileged and had a relatively easy life and had an amazing best friend; however, she had very low self-esteem.

David fell into Lyric's life and had her intrigued from the very first impression. David, who was a bar owner, was fun, caring, and sexy who like all good guys had a protective nature about him. I absolutely loved David! The way he treated Lyric and his sexy southern drawl had me hooked from the first time I read him.

“Hey,” I say softly as I melt into him. The word “Darlin” coming out of his mouth does something to me.

There was tons of sexual chemistry between David and Lyric which ultimately led to them having some steamy encounters! This couple had me rooting for them throughout the course of the novel! I absolutely loved them together!!!

“Darlin’, it’s impossible for you to do it wrong. At this point, all you’ll have to do is touch me and I’ll go off like a fucking rocket.” I look away, and he grasps my chin to pull my eyes back to his. “We don’t have to do this tonight, Lyric. I’ll be happy just to hold you in my arms all night.”

This book is a must read for everyone!! Stacey did an incredible job writing this book. There is everything you could want in this novel, loveable characters, interesting plot and of course those scenes that make you squirm.

We start out the story with Lyric Hayes finding out her college sweetheart/fiance is cheating on her. And the worst part? It's six months after she lost their baby, so it's the deepest betrayal and it's what sends Lyric to Nashville in hopes of finding a better life than what she was dealt. With a new job and new friends, Lyric isn't looking for love. She's sworn against it, but then she meets local bar owner and bartender David Pearson who basically comes out and swoops Lyric up.

I thought this book was really sweet. Lyric is a girl who feels like she's lost so much from life, so she's hesitant to start with something so raw, so new, so fast. David brings he security and safety. He's had a struggle or two in his life. They both have lost and now they both can love whole heartedly, but of course exes come into the mix and miscommunication becomes a strong focal point.

Overall, I'm giving this book 4 STARS out of 5 STARS because it shows us that emotional pain can sear us deep, but it can also help bring us forward. I think this is a light, nice read to curl up with on a rainy day by the fire. I like Stacey Mosteller and I cannot wait to see what more she will bring to the literary world.

Save Me From Myself is the story of Lyric, a New York transplant who finds herself in Nashville starting a new life after dumping her ridiculously douchy fiancé. Of course, because she is not looking for love, it finds her in the form of sexy southern bartender David.

David has a complicated past of his own, but he knows a good woman when he sees one. Lyric and David take a chance and find something good with each other. Dealing with each others pasts and complications together as a team, they work towards making a life with each other. Until one complication occurs that might be too big to overcome,

Save Me From Myself is a strong debut novel from new author Stacey Mosteller. Well written with extremely like-able characters, readers will have no problem connecting with the story. They will also have no problem bonding over their hatred of some extremely UNlike-able characters! I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series, and I don't thinking alone in that sentiment!

I really enjoyed this story. David, oh David why do I have to be married? Anyways, Lyric has had a very rotten time in the romance department. Her ex is truly a one of a kind a**hole and her mother has problems dealing with their break up. I have to tell you while reading this book I was actually talking to the book as well lol... like a friggin sailor! Lyric deserves a good man and enters David *sigh* This man does not exist on our realm ladies or I would have found him ;) Kind, Considerate, sexy, responsible, multi-talented in the ummmm well I'll leave that to the imagination. If you like a feel good love story with some very kick ass steamy against the wall sex, than this story is for you! I know this author has me hooked...

Wonderful start to a new series set in Nashville! Stacey introduces her readers to a group of friends that will hopefully all get books. SMFM focuses on Lyric and David. Lyric's been burned by a bad relationship, amongst other things, and leaves NYC in hopes of a fresh start. I don't want to give away too much from the book, but she meets David, a sweet and swoon worthy bartender.

This was a fun, engaging read, and I'd definitely recommend it! Can't wait for SB's story!

This book grips you from the beginning with the depth of Lyric and David’s characters. Right at the beginning we read about the betrayal Lyric’s fiancé bestows upon her….carrying on an affair. The reader gets a glimpse into Lyric’s character by the next line:

“I don’t know how to explain my reaction to her. I know the normal response to finding your fiancé in bed with another woman is not to calmly walk out and leave, but that’s exactly what happened.”
I was intrigued as to why she would just leave? Most women would raise a BIG ruckus. However, Lyric picks herself up and six months later moves from Manhattan to Nashville in the hopes of starting over. As soon as she arrives in Nashville, her new roomie, Anna, lets her know that she has arranged for them to go to the “Drench” to meet some of Lyric’s new co-workers for dinner and drinks. While the idea of meeting future coworkers is fine, Lyric is apprehensive as Anna seems to think it would be a good idea to play match maker with the “hot” bartenders of Drench.

Lyric settles in to her new job as a music reviewer, developing the usual work related friendships, etc. which of course take her back to Drench as this is the office hangout. As time progresses….David and Lyric begin a relationship; David with his intense dislike of lies and Lyric with her distrust of men due to her ex-fiancés cheating. But they decide to give this relationship a go and they are SO perfect for each other.

I love the way that technology was embraced in the budding relationship….texting each other…a great venue for allowing Lyric to become bolder and more forthright with what she wants!

After roots have begun to take hold in David and Lyric’s relationship, Lyric must contend with a situation which clearly is uncomfortable. After becoming friends with SarahBeth (David’s younger sister), Lyric learns a secret and is sworn to secrecy. Unfortunately, SarahBeth is not beyond blackmail when Lyric finds out about a relationship between SarahBeth and David’s best college buddy Jeremy (one that would be forbidden by the ever protective David). This of course put’s undue stress on the relationship between Lyric and David and this can only lead to trouble for Lyric! And it does as she is honor bound to keep SarahBeth’s secret when David confronts her. AND the only thing that David cannot stand is lies! What a tangled web they have weaved. Of course, there is a break up, heart break on both sides but luckily…..our main characters eventually work out the differences and salvage their relationship….at least for the moment.

I liked that the chapters were depicted in the table of contents with titles as opposed to just the usual…. chapter 1, chapter 2, etc. The titles enhanced my anticipation of what the chapter would hold, for example: “Meeting Him” or “Confrontation” or “Lies Come Out”.

And when David said “Darlin”….I just melted. I have not said this before BUT if I were to have a book boyfriend….I might just have to choose David! Last but not least, the character of Anna is great. She is full of life, adventurous, bold and tells Lyric like it is. Everyone needs a best friend like Anna.

There are some interesting co-worker dynamics which enhance the story as opposed to detracting from the main plot (as occasionally they do). Lyric’s adjustment to the new work location is slow and progresses well, with a few little hiccups. But her work shines through.

The up and downs of David and Lyric’s relationship are believable. The storytelling is gripping. All in all an excellent read. I cannot wait to read the next installment of this series, nor should you!!!

Lyric had enough. For years, she was the perfect daughter and the perfect girlfriend. But after seeing her fiancé having sex with another woman after she was experiencing grief was the last straw. She can’t believe he had been fooling around while she was devastated. So, she decided to run away and start fresh.

After Matt’s betrayal, she decided to get a break from getting into relationships, allow herself to heal and enjoy her life.

But there’s the sexy bartender or should I say bar owner, David. He’s sexy, charming, responsible, and rich. He knew what it was like to lose someone and how life can change in one swift of a finger. It took one look at Lyric to decide that he will do anything to have her heart. Despite the walls she had built around her heart, her inability to trust and let people in.

I watch him being patient, being kind, giving her the space she needed, but still standing beside her. I watched him wooed her, wowed her, and finally have her. David was nothing like Matt, and Lyric was lucky to find someone who would treasure, and love her like she deserves. Matt? He was an ass, a douche, and I hated him, I wished David breaks some of his bone. He’s assuming – why can’t he let Lyric be, or better yet, why don’t he marry her mother! They so deserve each other! What kind of mother does Lyric have? I can’t believe she would rather side on her ex-fiancé rather than her! Arghhh!!!! All the things she does in this novel make me want to go inside it and wring her neck. I so hate her more than Matt!

And there was the lovely Anna who placed some sunshine into this book. She had me smiling every time I see her name on every page. She might be a little naughty – but once Lyric needed her, she ultimately switched into the friend mode. She was willing to fight for her. Loved her intensely for it.

When David and Lyric are finally going to have their HEA – they are once again faced with a trial in their relationship. One that might break them apart. David hated liars, and Lyric lied by omission. I was torn. I wanted for her to tell him, but it wasn’t her story to tell. She was threatened (arghh!!! I can’t imagine the one who threatened her turned out to be a bitch at this point) with something she loved – David. She couldn’t just take the risk after all they have been through. But before she could say anything, the secret was out, and David knew that she knew and haven’t told him. Everything went berserk! The next thing David knew, he had pushed her away, and he was making the biggest mistake of his life.

Never, ever make decisions or open your mouth when you’re mad. You are most likely to end up regretting it. I guessed David learned it the hard way when he drove Lyric away. But I understand his point as well, he was hurt, he felt betrayed not just by Lyric but by people close to him. It was such a complicated situation I didn’t know whom to side, so I just wait on how everything will turn out. Good thing Anna pulled him out of his haze, and pushed him into making the right decision.


Save Me From Myself centered on how important fidelity and TRUST in a relationship. The relationship will tumble down easily without its strong foundation. You will fall in love with the characters, even with the secondary ones, you will hate some strongly, and it will be hard to stop reading once you have started it. Save Me From Myself had kept me all night, but it was worth it.

I went in to this story totally blind, without any expectations and right from the beginning I absolutely loved it! It was a refreshing change to read a book about two genuinely nice people with no hidden agendas or bad traits.

Lyric found herself re-starting her life in Nashville after suffering a heart-breaking accident and a shocking betrayal, not expecting or even wanting to fall in love. Although she had led a privileged life she was easy going and a fantastic friend to have but suffered from low self-esteem. David, a bar owner, fell into Lyric’s life and made an impression from the start. He was fun, sexy, sweet and caring, with a protective nature. I totally fell for him and his southern drawl and his affectionate use of Darlin’ to Lyric had me swooning!

Whenever Lyric and David were together there was always a highly charged sexual chemistry between them that led to plenty of sexy times. I needed to fan myself to cool down, their connection was electric. They were both so lovely and down to earth that I found myself really rooting for them. They deserved happiness together. Of course, although Lyric and David are perfect together things weren’t all hearts and flowers and their journey doesn’t run smoothly but no book would be complete without drama! Between the drama and the sexy moments there are plenty of humorous, laugh out loud moments too. This book really does have it all, including fantastic friends and work colleagues.

This is the first book in the series and it does end quite abruptly (there is no epilogue) but not without tying up loose ends first. I can’t wait for the next book titled Everything I Shouldn’t (Nashville Nights #2). Add it to your goodreads TBR now!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone. It’s such a good, real, all-rounder and definitely an Author to follow.

The essence behind this sorry is overcoming tragedy and finding true love.

Lyric may be from a wealthy family but she's endured so much. Her mother is more concerned about social standing and the impression others have about her than her own daughter's feelings and heart. Lyric was in a relationship with a man of great social standing, they were even engaged, but things took a turn for the worse after a sudden loss and unexpected discovery. Anyone would think that family would be the first place someone could turn, but her mother took the side of the man who caused Lyric such immense hurt and pain. The only thing Lyric could think to do was leave the situation and start anew. So she packed up her things and moved to Nashville to live with her good friend and start a new job, make new friends, and avoid intimate relationships all together.

David is a man of virtue and knows the importance of family. He left Nashville to go to college in North Carolina and upon graduating with a degree in business he found it wasn't really for him, so he started bartending at the bar his girlfriend worked at. But when he got a phone call about the tragedy that took the lives of his parents he dropped everything and returned to Nashville to care for his sister. There was no way he would make her face any further change than that which had already occurred. After returning he started his own business, Drench, where he was happy and close to home so he could ensure his sister, SarahBeth, would be able to have everything she ever needed or wanted. Though SB did have a way of scaring off any woman that tried to make their way into David's life, he knew

As fate would have it from the moment David laid eyes on Lyric he knew he just had to meet and get to know her. Neither was looking for a relationship and with both having so much baggage and such traumatic pasts how would either be able to overcome it all and start anything with each other. But "Real love isn’t based on what someone can do for you; it’s how you feel when you’re with that person." And if they could both learn to let go then they are destined to have an amazing life together filled with love and passion. But can they? Save each other from themselves?

With Save Me From Myself, Stacey Mosteller gives her readers a nice, solid romance at just the right length. The book kept my interest until the end and had great main and supporting character development as well.

Lyric is looking for something new. She needs to get away from her parents, her ex and her past to find herself again. She has been somebody else for others too long, so she packs up and leaves Manhattan for Nashville. With a name like Lyric I figured she was a musician, however I was wrong and she is a journalist. Lyric is going to live with her friend Anna, who also got her a job at a Nashville entertainment magazine. When she left, Lyric made a deal with herself to not jump right into a new relationship as she is still feeling the aftershocks from her previous one. Meeting the handsome David immediately kills that deal.

While prepping for her new job, Lyric goes to the bar to meet with her coworkers and of course notices David. Sure she says she isn't looking for another relationship, however this guy is going to be hard to stay away from. David instantly flirts with the beautiful Lyric and wants to get to know her better. She comes off a bit shy at first, but once they exchange numbers, she opens up a bit. I thought the texting part was a cute addition to the story.

So Lyric has some baggage and come to find out that David isn't a clean slate either. Going into this thing cautiously seems to be the best plan for now. With trust issues, Lyric isn't going to go full steam ahead with just anybody. David is as honest as they come, however still has some feelings left in the past that he needs to keep moving on from as well.

Save Me From Myself is well written from Lyric's point of view and David chimes in when necessary. The story is fast paced, has some angst and is super sexy. Even with the baggage, David has definitely made it to book boyfriend status. Stacey Mosteller gives us a complete story in this first Nashville Nights book, yet leaves the door open for another couple to step through.

Lyric Hayes has run away from her life in Manhattan. Away from her overbearing family and ex-boyfriend. Away from a past she wants to avoid. She is determined to make a new life for herself in Nashville. The moment Lyric meets David Pearson, sparks fly. But, Lyric has a past. And David has secrets too. Falling in love is easy, but learning to love and be loved is the hard part. Lyric and Davids story was such a refreshing read. I loved that character development was such a huge part of this story. The story is real. It is genuine. I found it easy to read as it is so true to real life. As an avid, reader I look for books to grab me from the first page. You become so engrossed in this story. Your heart goes out to Lyric, with a broken past. You feel for David who's past has made him the person he is today. Two people that did not know they needed saving until they met each other.

Oh. David. You captured my heart the moment we met. I swooned. I loved. David is just the epitome of a good book boyfriend. He is charming, intelligent and loves with every fiber of his being. In this world of bad boys this and that, David proves that the good guy wins, in every way possible. He is a southern gentleman that will forever stay in my heart.

Save Me From Myself is a fantastic debut. It's about love and loss. Knowing when to let go and move on. But, also knowing when love comes at the most unexpected times, you don't run from it-you run towards it as fast as you can. The author has the ability to allow you to feel the connection to her characters. You will laugh, swoon, and cry over this story. Such a strong debut for this author. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for this series!

This book is amazing and left me with a book hangover for sure! I fell in love with the main characters almost immediately, and kept wanting more!

Lyric Hayes reminded me a lot of myself. She was deceived by her fiance and decided to run when she broke it off with him. Deciding she needed a new start, she runs off to Nashville to live with a close friend. She starts a new job and a new life relationship free. With a controlling mother and an ex fiance who cannot take "NO" for an answer, they prove to make that difficult.

David Pearson is everything women want in a man, unfortunately this is a book and he is unrealistic. Needless to say he makes a wonderful book boyfriend! He owns a successful bar, raises his sister after a tragic loss, and loses so much in the process when he chooses his sister over anything else in his life. He is smart, sexy, and puts his family fist and that right there ladies is attractive if you ask me!

When David first lays eyes on Lyric, he cannot get her out of his head. Neither of them were looking for a relationship and when they met they both fell hard. David broke down her walls and was everything she needed. When Lyric keeps a secret from David in order to protect him and their relationship, it backfires on her and he is scared to trust her ever again. Can David forgive Lyric and find his way back to her? Is Lyric so broken by her ex that she will refuse to forgive him as well, or will she do what she does best and run again?

I enjoyed David and Lyric's story and hope there is more to come in the future with them as well as some of the other character's stories. I feel like there is more to be said from Lyric's mother and ex fiance. I feel like some of that was unfinished and would like to hear more from David's best friend and sister as well. There is so much that left me wondering what next?...and I hope I get more very soon!!

I was sucked right in from page one! The perfect story about being in the right place at the right time.

Lyric- oh girl, she has been through so much in such a short period of time. I can clearly see her fleeing the state of New York like a fugitive! Even had the Mission Impossible music in my head. It was frustrating that her first reaction was to run- never to confront or even stand up for herself. To live her life as she wants to she is going to have to get better at this- or be run over. Fortunately she surrounds herself with some pretty incredible people and family that are there to help.

Just a few words about the people who infuriated me in this story.

Matt- did I maybe cheer out loud when he got his due?? What a total a$$!

Lyric’s mom- SERIOUSLY?? Such a pretentious, terrible woman. That she had the gall to support Matt even after everything? Won’t be getting the mother of the year award any time soon.

SB-takes immature evil to a new low. To be so terrible and hold the power of hurting Lyric over her- just sad. A huge turn around from the beginning of the book- but maybe her true side?

Now on to one of my favorite people- DAVID! So swoon worthy! Darlin’ or princess work just fine for me. Not perfect by any means- but perfect for Lyric. Their banter is fun and the sexual tension out of this world. Not to mention how he calls her on her crap.

This was a fun, fast paced debut to the Nashville Nights series- looking forward to more from Stacey.
