Seriously? 4.21 stars.
Did we read the same book?

The first 25% was ALL TELLING. Don't blink or you'll miss the dialogue. Forget understanding time flow. Just paragraph after paragraph of backstory and plot. Literally, pages of "and then" - "next" - "because" - "after that" - "they told me"

KILL. ME. NOW.

I do not DNF, well...rarely.
Now, skimming...

And where the hell is the H!?!?

25% in and he's only had two pages in that train wreck of a prologue. For reals yo...NO PROLOGUE SHOULD BE THE FIRST 8% OF ANY BOOK.

27% in and OMG her first sober convo with the H is one big FSOG reference. Oh, you're definitely tardy to the party.

28%
"He has to have brought me"
I'm speechless.

“The look on his face indicates that I amuse him. Raising an eyebrow, he grins at me.”
Enough with the telling already...now we're into telling AND showing.

"HER INNER HUSSY"
No. Just no. I can't.
I'm just...

30%
Gavin's POV...the first redeeming bit. Though the whole Pukearella thing...eww. He's still a teller, but it's less annoying.

38% in and I'm struggling with boredom and eye rolling. Almost no dialogue. Really? I'm tired of being in the POV's head all of the time.

I don't think I can do this much longer.

42% in the H/h have had almost NO dialogue through out this book and yet here we finally have conversation number 3 and it's filled with more FSOG references...I'm out.

Ok...so I read until 52%...the whole Spice Girls thing was just one big eye roll too many for me...sorry.

I can't believe I'm DNFing.

Re-read to give more details.

Super sweet and quick read. Gavin may need to be sainted he is so good to Leah. Their story starts with her going through really bad times. He helps her out one night but they do not know each other and separated after he helps her sober up enough to go home. Years later fate allows them to reconnect. She has gone through even tougher times and he has continued to mature. He is just what she needs and their story is beautiful. There are no OW, no stupid plot devices. Even though a little outside drama is going on, the story is really them inside a cocoon getting to know each other and falling in love. This is a no stress read. I have nothing to spoiler. He may have been a man-no in the past but it is really not discussed. Something said to be rumored on Google. But if it was true, it was years ago. I cannot imagine why this is not totally safe for everyone to read. Plus it has a sweet epilogue!

Prior comments:
Goodness these rockers are too good to be true! I liked Gavin. Though story was just not quite as good for me as Picture Perfect and definitely not as hot. But it was a super sweet read.

Ella Fox has done it again!! The anticipation to the lead up of this book was HUGE and it was so worth it. I loved Gavin and Leah's story. It was also great to have some more of Flynn (along with his baby arm..haha) and Tessa. We have had a lot of Leah's back story in previous books in the Hart series, but the reader also gets a summary at the beginning, so this technically could be read as a standalone BUT I recommend to at least read Picture Perfect first, and you should read the Hart Series, because it is AMaZinG.

Leah and Gavin have met previously and the twist of fate that brings them back into each other lives isn't under the best of circumstances. Leah has had a difficult life and has experienced a lot of tragedy. Life keeps throwing things at her and she is forced to join the Renegade Saints Farewell Tour for her own personal safety. Of course her roommate is Gavin Wilde, HOT, tattooed, drummer. Gavin also had a difficult family life growing up but his outlook on life is positive and exactly what Leah needs. The attraction between the two is still there but they start as friends first. I loved them together, they have great chemistry both emotional and physical. There relationship was very believable and not rushed. Gavin is an amazing man ( you will fall in love with him) and is there for Leah to help her move on and really live her life. The story line is very well written and pulls you in. You really connect with the characters and cheer for them to find their happily ever after.

One thing I loved about this book is that we also get a glimpse into the other band members lives and hints to what the remaining members books will involve. I cannot wait for Coles story to see how things end up for him and for Tyson's book to see who his love interest will be (cough...Gavin's sister...cough...just a prediction). Ella Fox has a way with words and I devoured her Hart Series as soon as I started it. She is definitely a go to I must read her new release immediately author. If you've read her other books you will love Twist of Fate if you haven't then what are you waiting for???

Ok, so I loved the first book in this series. I expected to love this one, just as much- if not more, but I was thrown off by the bits of storyline that were thrown in for dramatic affect.

Gavin and Leah were thrown together by circumstance that affected Leah's newfound extended family. It was quite early in the story that I started feeling I needed to put this down and read Ella Fox's other series. I didn't realize this was a spin off of her Hart series and a lot of what was being thrown in was what was happening to those characters. I felt lost and couldn't figure out whether I should stop and decipher where in the Hart series timeline Twist of Fate fell in.

I'm saddened by this. Because I liked Gavin. He was a great guy who was already at the point he was over the rockstar life and was ready to find what Flynn found in Tessa. Leah, was a good heroine. She was strong and a survivor. She'd been through a lot, but I still felt like her backstory was just being thrown at me for affect.

I'm so disappointed. I'm hoping Cole's story is more enjoyable.

Twist Of Fate (Renegade Saints book 2)
Ella Fox
4 amazing band stars

OMG, this book was not only the 2nd Renegades book, in particularly Gavin Wilde’s story but the perfect ending to the Hart Family series too. After I had finished the Hart Family series I always wondered what happened to Leah, but alas wait no more.... here it is. What happened was Gavin Wilde, drummer of rock band the Renegade Saints. While it is not imperative that you read the Hart series 1st, it certainly put a lot of this book into perspective, with lots of “aha” moments. If your anything like me, you will certainly fall for the Hart’s as much as the gorgeous Renegade men.

Not your normal meet and fall for each other story, this was a pre organised meeting, but for both Leah and Gavin the reasons are so different. For Leah, going on tour with Renegades is anything but a holiday, instead she is in hiding from a crazy woman who is out for some serious revenge. Leaving her life that has been fraught with drama and Devastation, brother Dillon, best friend Minnie (Dominique) and job as a physical therapist to go on tour as a safety precaution, is the last thing she wants, but secretly it is drummer Gavin who she wants to hide from most. After an embarrassing display thanks in part to copious amounts of alcohol and subsequent vomit, made the worst impression ever, now she will be spending months on tour with him, and in the same suite as her superman. Hoping that he doesn’t remember her, because let’s face it Gavin Wilde has women coming out of everywhere, his reputation says it all.

Being told that Leah Cooper is coming on tour as a hide out from danger, Gavin is ok until he sees her for the 1st time at take off... He knows that face, remembers that night, one he preferred to forget. Something about that girl has him on edge, but the good guy that he is, he id going to take her under his wing and hopefully under his body. That drunken night and heavy next morning still plays on his mind but protecting Leah is his 1st priority. It isn’t long living in each other’s pockets before a friendship is born, and with that comes feelings. Ones that terrify Leah due to her rape years earlier. Having any man other than her brother’s touching her is scary, but keeping that from Gavin was never going to last.

This man, will awaken Leah to a whole new world, one that she never imagined she would ever have. Simple touches here and there, holding hands, kissing these are all things Leah never thought she’d feel, she’s met her match with playboy millionaire drummer Gavin, and he won’t stop until she is his woman... he timing, her conditions.

This story will pull at your heart strings as we weave our way through Leah and Gavin’s lives. This last band tour won’t only change for the Renegades members, it will be a whole new life for Gavin and Leah. As I feel I can close the chapter on the Hart Family, I look forward to the other Renegade member's stories.

Another brilliant read from Ella Fox. I love the Hart series and the renegade saints, the way the characters are intermingled takes the story to a whole new level.

This book is about Leah and Gavin the drummer from Renegade Saints. Leah is a Hart, needing to be protected from an ongoing threat she is taken on tour with the Renegade Saints for her own safety. Leah struggles to trust men after an horrific event in her past so when she finds herself with a room mate she begins to realise that some men are worth her trust.

Reading Leah's story was a joy, the tenderness between characters is apparent. I loved this book and look forward to reading the others in the series.

I really did enjoy Leah and Gavin's story. But her writing has something what I call the "repeat-scenario-syndrome." It wasn't as bad as the second book in her Harts Family series, but it was still kind of there.

Leah and Gavin as a couple never really had much of an obstacle, which is what I like in books. It takes a lot of push for me to read angsty books.

and yes I will be continuing with this series.

0% Book next up - not sure when Ill get to start it? Hopefully soon! I dont rememeber the other stories is this series/previous series? Its been on my tbr forever but hopefully it'll come to me while Im reading :)

3% It sounds bizarre but it was a marriage in name only and I was glad that it gave her something normal to hold onto for as long as she did.  The scars that had been left in and on Marissa had been too deep, and a physical relationship with anyone had never been in the cards for her. She couldn’t be touched in even the most casual of ways without warning, so intimacy would have been a bridge too far
I think I remember Marissa and the backstory now? I read my reviews/other peoples so I think I have a little bit more of an idea on the backstory :) its slowly coming back to me :)

6% “Then my suggestion is that you take a break from your pity party and think about your brother and your best friend the next time you get so fucked up that you can’t function enough to even walk. Then take that one step farther and remember how you felt when your friend walked in front of a bus and left you behind.  Guess what?  That’s exactly how your brother and your best friend are going to feel about you if you don’t get your shit together.  I don’t know if you’ve always been a quitter or if this is a new thing for you, but if you’ve got any fight in you, now’s the time to access it
I already like him n we don't have even know his name! (I'm guessing it's Gavin :D - I really bloody hope so anyway coz he seems awesome already! :D) I think I'm gonna love this one soon enough - I hope so anyway :D

8% But the rape… that was the knockout punch. I went down for the count that night knowing that there wasn’t going to be another round
Holy shit did we know that before coz I don't remember that at all!! :'(

9% I got an email from her two days ago telling me that she’d finally broken up with her psychotic bitch of a girlfriend, Tally
I love that we've gone back in time :D i reread reviews so I'm more aware of the previous books now :D

11% My emotions are all over the place, and I burst into tears as I think about what Minnie endured living with those people
:( I really need to reread this whole series soon! I love that we're getting some backstory again :)

14% I wonder why he looked so unwelcoming at first, but then quickly write it off as being a case of me imagining things
? I dont know if we're meant to know why?! I hope it's explained if we do know? :D

18% For at least the last decade, a few times a year I get a feeling that I am being watched or followed
?!? I hope it is just her imagination but I have a feeling it might not be :/ I can't wait to Leah and Gavin meet again! I'm really loving Leah n I can't wait to see more of her! :D

21% Oh—and of course, there is the biggest thing of all—I am about to see Gavin Wilde again
Eeee! I'm so excited!!! :D

24% He continues to look at me for a minute before saying, “You know, you look really familiar
He does remember you leah! Out of the thousands of people he's met he remembers you even if he can't quite place it yet! :D I'm loving this book - I don't want to put it down but I have such a busy day tomorrow and I need to go to bed :'(

27% My mouth is writing checks before my brain can shut it the hell down. He chuckles softly as he leans in a little closer and mock-whispers
I'm loving seeing these two together already! :D I can't wait to see more of them :D

28% you’re sharing the suite with Mr. Wilde
:O yay!! I'm so ridiculously happy about that haha :D <3

30% No one I’ve ever met talks as bluntly as Gavin Wilde. He just says things that other people would avoid or pretend weren’t happening. Something about his attitude calms me down and makes me feel safe. Gavin is who he is, no bullshit or pretending
I'm totally loving Gavin so much! Why the hell did I take so long to read this book!!!! <3

32% His exact words were, “I’m putting her in your room because she’s got a thing for Tyson. I’m going to play matchmaker and fix them up because I think she might be just the type to do him some good, but I don’t want him thinking that she’s easy. The girl is family to me, which means that she’s not fair game. If I find out that you’re trying to fuckin’ lay pipe in her, I’m going to kick your ass
I love getting Gavin's POV n seeing his view of that night! I love that Flynn is trying to set Tyson up not realising what he's actually done haha <3 <3

35% Even though Flynn specifically told me to stay the fuck away from her, I’m more attracted to her than ever and I can already tell that staying away isn’t just unlikely—it’s impossible. The fact that Leah is shy and in need of a friend and some fun practically rolls off of her in waves. She needs to cut loose and have fun, and I’m not going to walk away without a backwards glance this time
Yes I love Gavin n Leah already!! This book is just what I was in the mood for! I'm loving it n can't wait to read more :D <3 <3 I just wish life wasn't so busy! :'(

37% Nothing Flynn or anyone else says is going to keep me away from this girl.  Whatever the fuck this is, she feels it too
I totally love that Gavin already feels like this and they've only just properly met! No back and forth for him - she's it for him and he knows it :D <3 <3

43% I can see that you want me to believe that, maybe you even believe it yourself, but I watch people for a living and I know what I’m seeing. You might be playing at being just friends right now, but there’s something bigger happening here. I won’t pressure you but I want you to remember that I’m your friend and I’m always here to talk. Anytime you need an ear, just let me know and I’ll be there
Aww tessa! <3 This series and the hart family have just gone on my series to be reread list! :D <3 <3

45% Ty’s hidden years of pain by being the funniest guy in the room. Things are better these days, but I know that none of us can ever forget what it felt like to think that we were going to lose him forever. With what he’s been through it’s understandable that he’s struggled, but lately I’m really starting to believe that he’s really and truly putting the past behind him
I really hope Tyson (and Cole's) books are coming soon - its been a few years since this books come out :(

47% I don’t think that he means the question the way that I am interpreting it but the question remains—am I? Taking a deep breath I open my eyes, square my shoulders and stare right at the center pin before nodding my head. “I’m ready.”"
Love Leah!! She's stronger then she thinks!! <3 <3 i just wanna be able to devour this book!!

51% Vaguely I register that Cole and Flynn are both having similar reactions to their women up on the stage, but I can’t even look their way to say anything
<3 love that he already classes Leah as his woman!! <3 <3

56% "I run like the wind to my bedroom, slamming the door shut behind me. Heading straight for the farthest corner of the room, I drop to the floor, pull my knees up to my chin and begin to sob. I had one fucking chance to be normal and I blew it—and I so didn’t want to blow it. Why does it have to be like this? I’m a hysterical mess, completely unable to get myself together. I’m crying so hard that I know if I don’t get it under control I’m going to hyperventilate, and I can’t seem to make myself stop. All I want is to be fucking happy and that’s never going to happen because I’m so goddamn broken
Oh Leah no!! :'( Gavin will make it better I know he will!!

58% We can work through panic. I’m willing to do whatever it takes, babe. What’s happening with you is a game changer
I LOVE how Gavin just says it like it is!!! They both know what this is and are both willing to work for it!! <3 <3

63% I’m freaking out about saying something, but I can’t just sit and do nothing
I fucking love that these two are communicating!!! <3 even when they've only really been dating a couple days! It's AMAZING!! <3 <3

67% No,” I rasp. “You’re perfect. It feels good.” I barely contain a groan as she leans forward and begins tracing the tattoo on my arm with her tongue. When she comes up from the tat and licks my neck, I damn near explode. “Fuck,” I groan
So hot! I forgot how good Ella Foxs' sex scenes are! <3 <3

69% You really don’t have a filter do you?” No use in denying it. “Nope
And I love it!!! <3 <3

79% Babe, do you really imagine for one second that I would ever let anyone see, hear or be anywhere near you when you’re naked? I’m a pretty relaxed guy but make no mistake about it—you belong to me. Your moans, your sighs, that sound you make in your throat right before you come? All mine. No one else gets any part of that. I’m stunned for a heartbeat or two, but then can’t help the smile that spreads across my face. “Gavin Wilde, did you just go Alpha on me?” Rocking against me so that I feel his hardness pressing against my cleft, he lets out a harsh laugh. “Where you’re concerned babe, yes, I am one hundred percent alpha
<3 <3 <3 LOVE ALPHA GAVIN!!!! <3 <3 I really need to go to bed but I don't wanna put this down! :'(

86% Fucking pissed as all hell last night, and I haven’t seen him today because he and Devon left and went to another hotel. I’m not sure what started it but Ian went off and called Cole a pussy and, well, shit went downhill fucking fast after that. They got into a fist fight and—” Flynn stops talking as there’s a commotion at the front of the plane. Turning I see Cole and Devon coming on board
I really really want Coles book! And tysons!!! <3 <3

87% The most important thing to know is that the nightmare is over and we’re all safe,” she says on a choked sob
Oh shit! Though I'm so glad the dangers gone!!

91% Based on what I’m seeing right now I didn’t think so but I’ve missed out on a lifetime of looking out for my sister so I figured that busting your balls was as good an opportunity as any to get some quality brothering in.” Unbelievably all of the guys start laughing, even Flynn, and Tessa and I exchange ‘what the hell’ looks.
Haha I love these men haha! Craziness and all!! <3 <3

94% Because you love me?” “Is that a question?” It takes her a second to get it but when she does, she laughs before nodding her head in understanding. “It’s because you love me,” she says firmly. “Fuckin’ A right I do, babe. You’re mine, woman.” “Then I guess it’s a really good thing that I love you too, you weirdo
These two are so fucking perfect! I love them!! <3

96% We made it. Somewhere up there Marissa is watching us right now and she’s so proud.” I’m so choked up that I can only nod
Aww minnie!! She's gonna be so fucking proud of you two!!! <3 <3

98% The second I hang up I stand and pull my wife into my arms. There’s no use even trying to hold back now, and I let the tears roll down my face as I hold her
OMG soo perfect!!! <3 <3

100% Perfect!! I loved it so much! I need Tyson n Coles stories! I also really hope all kids get stories at some point haha just wishful thinking I suppose Haha <3 <3 I don't know why I put this off so long! <3 <3 <3

This the second book to the Renegade Saints series. My opinion I always thought celebrities be finding love on the road. Depends on who the person is. I remember reading this story on the xscape member how she ended up dating the camera. I believe he was a camera guy lol can't remember. But yeah, this book was interesting, Leah and Gavin made an interesting couple. I also thought it was good that she actually put trust into their situation. Yeah situation because they weren't dating until she trusted him fully. Especially with her getting rape by a ex. As I was reading this I'm like maybe shouldn't have been wilding out. It wouldn't of happen. But he'll man no one deserves what had happened to Leah.

Ella Fox has done it again. She is an automatic buy for me, and Twist of Fate has proved no different. Twist of Fate is the second book in the Renegade Saints series, and it also is somewhat of a crossover book because the heroine is Leah Cooper, a character in Fox's Hart Series.

Here are some of the reasons why I loved this book:

1. Gavin. He has definitely made it into my ultimate book boyfriend list. Saying he is amazing is a complete understatement. He's sweet, sexy, funny, and an amazing listener (hello fantasy man!).
2. Leah and Gavin together. I LOVED that they communicated. It's something you don't see much in books, and I found it very refreshing that they were so honest together.
3. Love that we get to see all the Harts and we also get to learn about more of the Saints. I can't wait for Cole's book in particular....

I think my only "complaint" about this book, which I don't think I could really call a complaint, is that there is no real conflict. The backdrop of this book is conflict (the reason why Leah is with the Saints to begin with) but there is no actual conflict that occurs in the "present" of this book. I felt this was more of a story of growth and love for Gavin and Leah, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Can't wait for the rest of the Renegade Saints series! Thanks for another great read Ella Fox :)

5 Stars!

I love, love love this series. The Renegade Saints have quickly become a top favorite of mine. Ella Fox is a real gem and she has definitely found a new for life fan in me.

Twist of Fate is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. This book was quick, sexy, sweet, passionate, intense, and left me smiling big by the end.

I fell in love with Leah and Gavin. Their story was beautiful written and perfectly articulated. I smiled, laughed, swooned, and fell in love while reading their story.

I highly recommend this book and series.

Good book, just like book 1. I couldn't put it down. But seems to me this book had more S. E. X in it than part 1 did. Like dang Gavin I see you. But also liked how Leah finally put trust into Gavin after all those years from being a rape victim. I thought their relationship was adorable especially the ending.

P. S.

Dude the beginning where she thought he was freaking Superman, spiderman and every other superhero was priceless. Take about having to much to drink. Sheesh this is why I don't do. Plus I was glad that what he said to her that night mad her change how she was acting.

LOVED this book! Another great one by Ella Fox, and I love how the Hart's are combining with Renegade Saints!! Probably need to have read the Hart series (at least books 5 & 6) to understand more of Leah's back story. I liked how this book didn't have tons of angst & drama...just a sweet love story!! I cannot wait to see how things end up for Cole, Devon & Ian!

I have been waiting for Leah to get her HEA and I loved the way it played out in the story. Gavin was amazing; every woman should have her own Gavin. I loved the way their relationship evolved; even though it happened quickly there was a lot of depth to it. I can't wait for more of the Renegade Saints.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Once you start reading, you won't be able to stop. Definitely worth it and a solid 5 star!

Leah didn't have an easy life and is still trying to get her life together after all the things she went through. Being all shook up by someone who gave it to her straight, she is sorting her life out. Now years later, through bad circumstances, she meets the man she never thought she would see again, Gavin Wilde.
Gavin never thought he would see the woman again that he gave a piece of his mind many years ago but also felt so strongly about. Now both get a chance to make amends and to try to figure out if their chemistry is more than just that, chemistry. With Leah still being on the mend and having to lay low, she will become stronger every step of the way. But will it be enough for Gavin to tear down her walls?....

Fighting and not giving up

Leah and gavin had met 6 yrs earlier but it was not a good way to start off. Leah had just lost her best friend and was in a really bad place, so while at a club she lost her balance and seriously out of it when her "superman" came and took her home to make sure she was alright. The last thing her superman said made her want to fight and not give up. Not knowing who he was till the very end and then 6 yrs later find out gavin was her security and room buddy caused a lot of different emotions. But gavin was determined to show her he was indeed her superman. This book was emotional funny and slight confusing with all the "new discoveries" but its well worth the read.

This book packs a punch. Get ready for your emotions to be put through the ringer.
There are many tragic events that can cause a person to shutdown emotionally and this story sheds light on quite a few of those. I'm not going to give away any spoilers but I will say that there are a lot of sensitive issues discussed in this book.
Ella Fox does not shy away from the emotional turmoil and she creates a world where you are immersed in those emotions and fighting the battle with her characters. I loved this book because how in depth it is.
Twist of Fate is an excellent read and I definitely recommend for it to be added to your to read list.

I stopped at 13% because this book just wasn't for me. I want to play along but the first two chapters are just a list of Things That Would Never Be Said Or Done In Real Life. The sentence that was the nail in the coffin for me was "Now you’re going to have four alpha male, hot-headed brothers." I just can't. I simply cannot.

Also, I find it pretty gross that in the year of our Lord 2021 that a contemporary romance will have a FMC who says that her female best friend who just broke up with a woman isn't actually gay because said friend is in love with fmc's brother. The heteronormative bi-erasure of it all is very off-putting.

This was one really great book about overcomming trauma. About learning to live Your life without fear. To take your broken pieces and make You whole again. The love story between Leah and Gavin was so precious, so great anf his patience with Leah was really great. He had his own sad story and maybe that formed him into Leah´s Prince Charming. The book was heattouching and great study of recovery

3.5 stars. Because the beginning of the book, all the strange happenings going on with a murder and kidnappings that you never see in this book and suddenly she's on tour with the band for safety reasons?? So confusing. But once the hero and heroine got together, the story was great. It was all the backstory and things happening off page that were beyond confusing.

The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because I got lost at one point and the story kind of dragged as the groundwork was laid. This story could use a family tree because I was left scratching my head with the family ties explanation. Once I got past that section the story picked up and was hard to put down. I'm looking forward to reading Cole's story next.
