THREE LAWS OF LIGHTHAVENS

Law One
Do not leave a Lighthaven without permission. Those who left to explore Bramble Pass have never returned. The Blackwood Bog is Crow territory and can only lead to ruin.

Law Two
Stay away from any plant that could be dangerous. Fuzzferns may look harmless, but they will have one foaming at the mouth in a matter of seconds. Some plants, like Witchvines, have been known to morph into other plants, so keep a wary eye.

Law Three
Report anyone with plants growing on their bodies. The Green Witch has massacred the Fire Grove Council and is enemy number one. Do not attempt to attack her alone. There are also rumors of other Wilds with Witchvines. If sighted, you are warned to take extreme precautions.

I really loved and enjoyed this trilogy. Even though it is probably targeted to middlegrade, I think is a series that can easily be enjoyed from middlegrade to middle-aged+.
The writing and world building was really well done and I liked the characters very much. I was mystified and intrigued by the Green Witch in both the first and second books but was extremely pleased that her enigma is finally unshrouded in the third book. The story finished off with a fairly happy and believeable ending.
All three books were very satisfying overall and I would definitely recommend this series to others.
*Mid-April 2014 -these ebooks were affordably priced on Amazon as well (under $5 for all three) well worth it!

I 'm only reviewing the last book as the 3 were not long enough to rate separate reviews. as far as I can tell these books are only available in digital format. and I think we will see this trend going forward. the first book was free, the second a few bucks and the final a few more. the books end so abruptly you have to get the next or the time was wasted. the final book does bring conclusion. these are not literary masterpieces but they show real creativity and my son will love reading them with me or on his own. These books depict two siblings who have lost their parents and are struggling through life without them. Then one day a dream leads them to an alternate universe where plants are dangerous and can take over your body and make you "wild" ... very imaginative and fun. writing could use polish. looking forward to seeing this young author and his ?brother? grow.

This book was probably the best. It had the most action and character development. There were twists that I did NOT see coming, I always love that. There were twists revealed that when they happened I was like "I knew it!" but still enjoyed it anyway - some twists that you expect make books less appealing for me, but this one didn't really lose it's gusto after.

Not a bad short set. This is the final book, in a 3 part set. The conclusion was excellent. Never expected the plot to twist as it did. I'd say this is a great read for younger readers.
