I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Oh no. I hate when this happens. I'm not an overly picky reader so rating something below 3 stars is tough. I seriously was going to just not finish this one, but decided that I had to see it through - to see if something could pull me in... Sadly, that was not the case.
The blurb was interesting. A successful woman who designs lingerie and a man that doesn't take no for an answer. A story that is expected to watch a powerful man deconstruct the walls that a woman has built around her heart with sexual desire...
There was a particular part of the story where a fashion show takes place, and it just felt like a chapter of name dropping. There were so many real celebrity mentions that it just got to the point of being overkill. Along with the similarities between Gloria's Secret and Victoria's Secret. The angel wings... the descriptions of some of the styles. It just started to be a bit much. The entire chapter felt out of place, with a few paragraphs that aided the story and the rest was just there. Sometimes fictional celebrities are fine additions, or just vague references to a certain celebrity without a name can work.
Jaime was overly forward in a "sexual harassment" way. He is trying to woo a potential client but yet asks her what he can do to get the account and then grabs her hand and makes her grab his cock. These two had had just a few interactions at this point, this was not so much instant-love as it was just instant-everything.
Far too many FSOG references thrown in here. Now, my love of this genre started with those books and I usually pop for a mention, just overkill.
I had a few cringe-worthy moments.
"Yet, there was no trace of any residue on the crotch. I impulsively rubbed my cleft and put my wet fingers to my nose. The distinct sweet smell was definitely all mine, but I still couldn't be sure."
Never EVER is it okay to describe this! I don't think many things can make me wince... this did it.
pussy replacement words... (sometimes pussy is just fine and if the guy is British or is a bit of a dirty talker, cunt)...
"hole" "passage" "doorway to pleasure"
And the one phrase that I've only seen in one other book (and it gave me the worst image in my head).
"weeping pussy"
I picture a crying vagina, every damn time!
The reviews on this are mostly high rated, which just proves that no two people read the same book. This one was not for me. I felt like I needed more story and less sex since these two just didn't have enough time to connect to each other due to the number of times they banged. I wasn't able to connect to either of the two characters in any real way.

Jaime is sooooo sexy! He's a sweet alpha... He's says the perfect romantic things in the moment and then he's all controlling and HOT in bed.
Gloria is so clever and funny- I love reading a strong business woman - and I totally went out and bought some sexy lingerie after reading this!
The interlude in Paris was a huge bonus for me :)
Nelle's writing reminds me very much of Arianne Richmonde- very sexy and sophisticated!

My review:
After reading the synopsis for Gloria's Secret, I have to say, it sounded like a great read! A strong heroine, a dominant, alpha hero, hot sex and dark secrets – I had high hopes for the book. Unfortunately, I think they were maybe a little too high.
The frequent references to 50 Shades of Grey, really did start to bug me. Lots of mentions of Christian, plus fantasies that Gloria would find and subsequently, had found her own Dom... Who actually turns out NOT to be a Dom. Now, don't get me wrong, I loved FsoG, but all of the name dropping for it just didn't do it for me!
I really did like Gloria as a character. She is strong, driven and very intelligent – even if she did jump whenever Jamie told her to! I just didn't really feel invested in her, or Jamie, or their relationship! Everything was so fast moving, with lots of backwards and forwards and indecision on Gloria's part.
For me, it just didn't flow. At times dialogue would be very formal, whereas at others, it would be very casual, like a conversation between mates. I'm good with either, really, as long as it's believable to the character, and consistent – which this wasn't.
We find out what Gloria's secret is during the prologue, but other than an elderly friend about to die, no-one else is told, or discovers the secret throughout the rest of the story. No conflict is created from Gloria having a secret at all, making the whole thing kind of redundant in my eyes!
The book ends on quite a cliffhanger, the subject of which, just didn't work for me. I don't want to ruin it for anyone else, so I'll just say... Timeline of events... it's too rushed for me, personally!
One thing I did enjoy about Gloria's Secret were the sex scenes! The chemistry between Gloria and Jamie couldn't be denyed. Together they are smoking hot! It's pretty much only during the sex that nothing felt forced between them, and boy did they sizzle!
Obviously all these opinions are just my own. There are lots of readers who already have – and I'm sure more of them in the future – who love and adore Gloria's Secret. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I've also had a few chats with Nelle, and she is a lovely lady, and very easy to get along with, so I hope she doesn't take my words to heart.
Overall, Gloria's Secret gets 2.5 stars from me.

Nelle and I have become pen pals since she wrote to me after having read The Pearl Trilogy. Being a fan of all things French she adored the details and descriptive passages in my book, which I appreciated, as I, too, love to be party to other writers' eye to detail when I become immersed in a novel.
I read Gloria's Secret and immediately fell for Gloria. She's a strong woman and I was swept away to her corporate world of haute couture lingerie. I loved all those details in this book....which set of underwear would Gloria pair with her executive outfit? All these minute descriptions of clothing and fashion brought the novel alive for me. I loved Gloria because she was tough but also vulnerable. I really believed that she could, indeed, run a multi-million dollar company. She had a past. She was a survivor. I liked that.
From the cover you may think you are in for some heavy BDSM eroticism, but Gloria's Secret is above all a romance. And like all romances, we eagerly await to see if the hero is good enough for our lovely heroine. To be honest, I wasn't sure until the end of the book when Jaime (pronounced J'aime) takes Gloria to such a spectacular setting where they have passionate sex (won't spoil, but believe me, the location is quite fabulous and unexpected).
I enjoyed the secondary characters...Madame Paulette (would have loved more of her) and some colorfully described sleaze balls who give the book an edge.
This is a fun escapist read...looking forward to book 2.

I was provided with an ARC of Gloria's Secret in exchange for an honest review. I've never read anything by this author but you can bet your arse I will be reading more from her. I went into this book blind ~ not knowing the author's style and with no expectations whatsoever and I have to say I was certainly doing this.......

I was like seriously what just happened there? The book delves into Gloria's childhood which was far from picture perfect. Along with her best friend, Kevin, she has made something out of her life but she has a secret and it's a BIG one and it is ...
Gloria is in New York for Gloria's Secret Annual fashion show along with interviewing major advertising companies to kick of her new line of FSOG inspired lingerie and other things. It is during an elevator ride to her next appointment when her eye's first land on Jaime ~ and let me tell you her first introduction to him had me...
I seriously was laughing and thinking I would've DIED! Jaime is all that and a bag of chips ladies. He is the kind of man that makes ladies want to .....

It was a great read for me! I loved the suspense but I also liked the fact that Gloria was thrown off her game. She is seen as such a powerful woman and when Jaime comes into the picture he surely....

Gloria's Secret is a very sexy read that will have you keep turning the pages trying to fit all the puzzle pieces together but leaving you without a few key pieces. It's a story about passing control & trust onto someone else but at what price? I can't wait for Gloria's Revenge to see what happens next with this. There are still secrets to be revealed and the repercussion's from such secrets make me wonder what the downfall will be. Will Gloria open her heart and let "love" in? Is it truly love? and will her past come back and make her pay for something that happened a long time ago? Well I honestly don't know that but I trust Nelle will answer my questions with her next book!

Gloria's Secret is a very sexy read that will have you keep turning the pages trying to fit all the puzzle pieces together but leaving you without a few key pieces. It's a story about passing control & trust onto someone else but at what price? I can't wait for Gloria's Revenge to see what happens next with this. There are still secrets to be revealed and the repercussion's from such secrets make me wonder what the downfall will be. Will Gloria open her heart and let "love" in? Is it truly love? and will her past come back and make her pay for something that happened a long time ago? Well I honestly don't know that but I trust Nelle will answer my questions with her next book!
A 5 star sexy read set in New York City & Paris! The secondary characters range from warm & funny to downright shady & disgusting. There will be some you want to ...

I found the story to be fair. I thought it had some good structure, but there seemed to be a sex fest on the back half of the book. It was rabbitesque and I don't often say this, but it could have used a little more story on that end. I did find it promising, but wanted a little more meat on the bone.

I am privileged to be a review for this book due to the fact that it had me drenched by the first meeting of Jamie and Gloria I had to sneak in reads at work just because I could not put this book down and I wanted and craved to know what was happening next. I was able to follow the story with no problems, it kept me captivated from beginning to end.
It was also nice to see a woman with a high position that was sophisticated and had it all. This is a change from most of the novels out there were the guy is usually successful. It was a breath of fresh air to have read something different.
There are is mysterious, romantic, erotic moments in this book that makes it a success. I am anxiously waiting on book two.
The passion and chemistry that Jamie and Gloria share is sizzling hot ! I want me Jamie for myself ... Oh the things they did were naughty ,,, his tongue oh his tongue ... That's all I am gonna say! Get a copy of this book because you will want to experience the emotion, passion, sin,and panty dropping explosions that are found in there.

Nothing about this book is similar to any other books on the market right now. The writing was very paced in that the romance didn't build it just BAM got the heroine over the head and she was knee deep in love. Both H/h come from broken childhoods and have accomplished a lot in their adult lives and both require control. It was a great read with a cliffhanger but I hear we don't have long to wait for the sequel. I csnnotv wait for Gloria's Revenge to see if my assumptions are correct. I have a pretty good idea what will happen but will keep it to myself.... for now!

I love this book!!! this book needs to be in everyones tbr list. the male character in this story is freaking fantastic you will fall in love with him!!! the story if great from start to finish you will not be able to put this book down. this book will make you laugh because of the two main characters go back and forth and also there some other characters that you would want to hit in the face bcuz of there action but over all I freaking love the book I can't wait for the second part!!!

Jaime is one sexy ass alpha. And Gloria strong business women who is clever and witty. Was a good read was very hot. Kind of want to go and buy some Lingerie now:) I wanted a little more from the story, but I think if I continue with the other books I may get that.

I lost interest in the middle for some reason, perhaps because Gloria's hesitation wasn't compelling enough for me and the hero was too perfect. The scenes in Paris were romantic enough.

I was offered this ARC and asked for an honest review. I must admit I was a wee bit nervous as I have met Nelle L'Amore and wanted to ensure I did her novel justice with my review. Well my fears were definitely unwarranted. I was drawn into this story from the instant I began reading, not wanting to stop until I reached the final word. But...OMG! Hugh cliffhanger. Oh God!

I had the honor of Beta reading this book and let me tell you, it's Great! I have read all of Nelle's books, but this one is my favorite. I loved the references to FSOG. I loved that series. I love it when an author writes a strong female character, and Gloria is just that.
Gloria is a strong willed, determined business woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She has a secret. The secret she holds in is enough to destroy her and her business. Enter Jaime, who I have to admit took me awhile to like. He seems to harbor a secret of his own. I fell in love with Madame Paulette instantly, and love when an author takes you to another place. I have always wanted to visit Paris and through Nelle's writing I feel like I have.
As far as Erotic novels go, this one is HOT! I will never look at a Ferris Wheel the same again. This book is emotional, steamy, and wonderfully written. I can't wait to see how the story ends. Will she and Jaime get their happy ever after? Are their secrets enough to end them?

Married, Single, Engaged it doesn’t matter I think we all have a desire to believe there really is a Christian Grey out there. This book definitely brought that to the forefront for me. From deceit and lies, to sex and love, this book brought it all. Hot, Hot, Hot is the only word I can come up with for this book. I was completely lost in it. Just when you think you know what is going to happen it takes a sharp turn.
While, the sex is hot I also enjoyed the story behind Gloria and Jamie. From LA to New York to Paris, will Gloria find what she thought she never would? Or will her past come back to haunt her through her newfound sex life? Nelle, killed it with this book, it keeps you interested and wanting more. More of what? Sex, love, deceit? For me, all of the above.
I give this book 5 stars and would recommend reading to everyone. You will not be disappointed with this one. Get on board with Gloria and her life as a nobody to a somebody with one HOT guy!!!

I won an ARC of this book in a giveaway and I am sure glad that I did. I LOVED this book. Gloria owns her own lingerie business and is CEO of Gloria's Secret and her best friend Kevin is her PR person. They have known each other since their teens and started the business together. They are harboring a secret from their past, which we know about but no one else does( we learn about it in the prologue).
The Chairman of the Board of her company, Victor (he invested in her company to start it up), is a rich, pompous a**hole, and his daughter, Vivien, is a rich, spoiled b**ch!! Victor wants in Gloria's panties and Vivien wants Gloria's business and in Jaime's pants!!
Jaime, who is also very rich, is an advertising genius who in his words "wants Gloria's account, her c**t and her heart". It was instant connection between the 2 of them when they first met. I love erotic romance and Gloria's Secret fits that description. Jaime says that he is not a dom but he is very controlling when they have sex and even though Gloria is controlling in her business life, she submits to Jaime's control. What ensues is some "smokin hott" sex scenes, very graphic. I just love it when he says "come here you", swoon. He lets her know in no uncertain terms that he has been interested in her for a long time.
There is also a past for Jaime with Victor and Vivien, but you will need to read the book to find out the whole story about that, but let me say it causes a lot of drama throughout the whole story. Gloria wants to tell Jaime about her past but she needs to be sure that he loves her. You really need to read this book, but note: there is a cliffhanger that was so awesome that I cannot wait to read the next book, Gloria's Revenge, coming out in October. But that is it, just 2 books to this series. So, if you like a good romance with hot sex and some drama included, take a chance and get this book when it comes out on September 19. I read Gloria's Secret in a few days and LOVED Gloria's, Kev's and Jaime's characters!
Kev and Gloria's friendship was one built off of a long withstanding respect and admiration between the two of them and you could tell in reading the book that this friendship would never be broken.
When Gloria first met Jaime, I didn't realize what role he would play in the future of the book, but the following excerpt from their first few encounters says it all! "He was back in my head. I had to admit he was gorgeous. And sexy as sin. The way he looked at me with those intense denim blues was unnerving enough. But when he shot me that cocky smile, I became completely undone. And he knew he affected me. Damn him!"
Jaime's character was by far my favorite...for obvious reasons! That boy knew how to put it down, lmao! "There's a difference between I think and I want. Do you want me to stop?" "Yes," I said breathily. "Your mouth says 'yes', but your pussy screams 'no'."
He toyed with Gloria every moment he got, and only because he knew he had her right where he wanted her.
The only thing that I would have liked differently is more time with Madame Paulette. Her character was very influential on Gloria and I would've liked to have seen more than her one visit with Gloria. There were times where I honestly forgot how old Gloria was, as you don't meet many people within her age range with a name like Gloria; so some of the time I imagined Gloria as an older woman and Jaime as a younger man.
The plot twist with Victor was great, I can't wait to see what Gloria's Revenge has to offer for Gloria and Jaime, Victor and Boris!

HOLY SHITTING HOTNESS BAT MAN I think I need a cold shower, I'm dizzy with desire.....just WOW, Nelle once again delivers, and has not only matched, but surpassed the quality of her previous books.
I think this has to be Nelle's hottest and sexiest book yet, the sex scenes are well written and leave you breathless and thinking, oh la la, as if you have just done the horizontal mumbo with Jaime yourself (I wish) it's the perfect book to read in bed, then turn to your partner and ask "Hey, you fancy some fun ?" I promise they will be asking when the next book is out lol
I 100% enjoyed Gloria's Secret, from beginning to end and I'm looking forward to Gloria's Revenge which is out later September, I can personally recommend this book if you like books such fifty shades of grey or bared to you, and like those books, you will find yourself hooked, for me, Nelle is up there with the best, such as Sylvia Day and E.L James and I hope she knows this is a huge complement.
I have a feeling Nelle is going to have much success with this series, and want to thank her for letting me be amongst the first to read it before it's scheduled release.

I 100% enjoyed Gloria's Secret, from beginning to end and I'm looking forward to Gloria's Revenge which is out later September, I can personally recommend this book if you like books such fifty shades of grey or bared to you, and like those books, you will find yourself hooked, for me, Nelle is up there with the best, such as Sylvia Day and E.L James and I hope she knows this is a huge complement.
I have a feeling Nelle is going to have much success with this series, and want to thank her for letting me be amongst the first to read it before it's scheduled release.
Can I just add how amazballs the cover is to....

Gloria’s Secret starts out by introducing the CEO of a lingerie retailer aptly named Gloria’s Secret. Gloria is a strong willed, driven and successful female who runs her own business and lives a happy contented but busy life. She runs into Jamie, a hot, sexy billionaire who owns his own advertising business. Jamie immediately has eyes for Gloria and makes her his. He is dominant and full of surprises, the Ferris Wheel romp is awesome. The relationship between Jamie and Gloria is hot, and I was fanning myself quite often, their chemistry together cannot be denied.
Gloria’s relationship with Madam Paulette was lovely, Madam played a very influential part in Gloria’s life and as such she would never have gotten where she was without her influence. I really enjoyed Madam Paulette’s character in this book.
There were other side characters as well and I note that this is the first book in the series with Gloria’s Revenge to follow which will help with the way the characters were developed but some of the story line didn’t go anywhere and I am guessing that it continues in the second book.
Overall I really enjoyed the story and would recommend this to others.

I was honored with an ARC of Gloria's Secret by the wonderful and talented Nelle. My intake of this book is how can I put it, this book is OMFREAKINGOSH HOT. I so know how talented Nelle is but she went and took this book beyond her other amazing books (love them all of course).
But holie hell this book was sizzling in my hands. Jaime Zander wth he is effin omg I'm speechless just trying to put together the right words but f***the man is indeed a sexual sexy adonis beast. And Gloria hell the I want to be her for a little bit, self-made,top of her game and sexy her damn self and the object of Mr.Zander's affection. I'm still speechless and gasping for air. Nelle truly shocked me to a speechless state this book deserves more than 5stars and boy oh boy did she delivered another amazing book.
I honestly was having a wth moment with the cliff-hanger and let me tell you where do I sign up for it cause now I am truly on edge waiting just like Gloria with my mouth opened wide waiting for Gloria's Revenge. Truly pure genius.

"Love eez like a fine pair of silk stockings, ma cherie. One snag and it can all unravel"
Ain't that the truth!? But after reading this, I not only want to put on a pair of silk stockings, I want a sexy lace bra with matching panties OH! and garters!!! Maybe some sexy pair of 6 inch black patent stiletto Louboutins! well, maybe NOT 6 inches. I don't look very sexy walking on heels, maybe while I'm on my back, but thats a different kind of review. Confession: I prefer flats!
I'm a huge fan of Nelle and on her last book I was crying to the point that I was texting my buddy Juewelz as soon as I finished the book. But this is a different kind of book, IN A GOOD WAY! No crying here. I can assure you that you will probably laugh and most defitanely get a tingly feeling between your legs. Cause I know I did.

This was my first book by Nelle and it hasn't been my last. I fell in love with Nelle's writing after reading this book and have tried to read as much as I can from Nelle. I loved the characters in this book, they were highly entertaining and kept me sucked into this book. I had to know what would happen and what those nasty people would do next to take what is Gloria's. OMG let's not forget Jaime GAH so hot. Gloria tried to resist him since she doesn't do the whole relationship thing but he is the type of man to get what he wants and he is determined to get Gloria. You really don't want to miss out on this series. I seriously can't wait to read the next books in this series and find out more of their journey. I have seen bits and pieces of them in other series and I can't wait to finally get my hands on the rest of theirs. You really don't want to miss out on the wonderful stories that Nelle will immerse you in.

I was lucky enough to win an ARC of Gloria's Secret and I'm so glad I did. what a book!! It had me hooked right from the prologue and I just had to keep reading til the end. This is the first novel I've read by Nelle and I can tell you it won't be the last.
Right from the start you are drawn into Gloria's story and when she meets Jaime you know she's a gonner even if she denies it.
The sex scenes were off the scale 'oh my gawd' and I wasn't jealous at all....honest!
I liked the air of vulnerability Gloria had about her and really hope she does get her revenge on the nasty man in book 2.
I can't wait to read Gloria's Revenge to see if my suspicions are right.

Nelle L'Amour got me again. She has given me 2 wonderful characters that allowed me to completely escape into their world. Gloria is a self-sufficient, successful female that runs her own multi-billion dollar business. As she looks to start a new product line she seeks out a new advertising company believing "Jamie", as a woman, would understand the lingerie/sex toy industry and how to sell this to women. However Jamie is full of surprises when he shows up as a man, the same man she encountered in an elevator that same morning. The push/pull between Gloria and Jamie is fabulous with these 2 strong willed/independent personalities. When they do finally give in, we, the readers get to enjoy the pantie melting sex scenes. The story does end with a big question which has me wondering what will happen next. Anxiously awaiting part 2!
