This book was much more fun than I remembered. Greg gets to be more creative with some old foes in the Vahki and shows his horror chops when it comes to the spider-like Visorak. Vakama’s one-track mind from the previous book really gets in the way of the Toa as they blunder through their darker and more dangerous city— and pay for it. Very good entry.

It's a good set up for the eighth book, it ends on a rough note but lets the characters see their home city in ruins following the previous installment. The characters and writing is good.

a whole lot of setup and mystery-building, clearly for later books but this one doesn't work on its own.

Uma boa introdução as condições dos personagens e sua mentalidade enquanto nos leva para a história do filme

The Toa return to the mainland of Metru Nui and encounter the Visorak, who they believe to be one of many Rahi beasts. At the same time, the old Vahki enforcers are still prowling the city and come into contact with the same beasts.
