Nicole Burnham is the RITA award-winning author of over twenty novels, including the popular Royal Scandals series. For new release announcements, audio/ebook samples, and to receive a free copy of A ROYAL SCANDALS WEDDING, visit https://nicoleburnham.com/new-events/ --- NOTE FROM NICOLE: My Goodreads library is by no means comprehensive. I have thousands of books on my real (as opposed to my Goodreads) bookshelves. However, my Goodreads library only contains those books I'd give four or five stars and would recommend to friends without hesitation (and I haven't gotten around to listing all those yet.)
I loved this book!! It's a very well written royal romance, sweet and hot. I needed something like this after my last dark reads.
This is the story of Megan Hallberg a 32 years old American girl and the 32 years old Italian Prince Stefano Barrali.
10 years ago in a volunteering mission in Venezuela the 22 years old Megan met the sexy prince Stefano Barrali who was also volunteering in building a water pipeline. They spent a lot of time together and had a one night stand the last night of the mission, a beautiful night that neither of them will ever forget. Even though they had feelings for each but didn't realize what kind of feelings exactly they had to part ways, she had to finish her college in Minnesota and Stefano had his royal and military duties in his kingdom.
One month later Megan learned she was pregnant with Stefano's child. She tried to contact him for 4 months through his secretary but he never called back . Two months later Megan read about his engagement with an aristocrat lady. That put Megan's atempts to inform him to a stop. She understood she wasn't important to him, that for him what they had in Venezuela was just a fling and nothing more, surely he wasn't in love like her.
So Megan raised her child alone, graduated and build a career in business management, moved to Barcelona with her daughter Anna who looked so much like her father and worked in a new hotel project . And she never would have expected to meet the man who marked her life at the launch night of the hotel.
The chemistry between them was still there, the lust and the passion even stronger than before and her feelings were in a real choas.
Stefano couldn't believe his eyes. He thought he would never see Megan again, he thought he had lost her for ever. He understood his feelings for her too late after Venezuela mission and his failed engagement to Arianna and then was too late to contact her.
Now she was an executive, still single, mature and more sexy than ever and he couldn't take his eyes away from her. He wanted her badly in his bed again. No women had ever make him feel like he felt with her. Less he knew, Megan had news for him....shocking life changing news.
The things won't be easy for these two. But I loved the story development, I loved Megan, Stefano and Anna.
The only thing is I would have loved an epilog. Or at least their story to be a couple of chapters longer after the moment they were finally together as couple. I think the end has cut short. I wanted to see a marriage, to see how the scandal will go with the press and how Anna and Megan's life as princesses would have been since that was the main worry of the story...so those parts felt unfulfilled.
The writer told me though that we could see glimpses of them and also their marriage in the other books of the series that are about Stefano's siblings.
November 27, 2017, ~~ I had not placed 'Scandal with a Prince' in my 'Books Completed Collection' on my Kindle and didn't realize until I was a good ways into it that I had read it before. Of course, I couldn't just close it and move on although I wish I had. I guess I had the need to torture myself and finish this story...again. I've read close to 500 books since I read this one and couldn't remember the outcome. Well, I must say, I disliked it as much this second time through as I did the first.
Original Review submitted April 2017 but actually read in 2016. I have been digesting this a little more since I finished this book last night. Actually, it keeps popping into my head in a very disturbing way. I had originally given it three stars but as the story is causing me to feel distressed and disturbed today, getting nauseous each time I think of it, I needed to revise my rating. There were many things, other than what I write below, that was troubling and a lot of angst for reasons that had made any sense...at least to me. Such big deals were made out of things that were small and insignificant and not enough was made of situations that were huge and they were just poo-pooed away. The storyline was not one I cared for, lacking something important.
This is about a Prince and the woman he loved and left ten years ago, but it was too long for the content contained within, too slow-moving, and too drawn-out for my liking. I like my books to be a little more concise and I can do without the unimportant filler in which there was a lot. I felt some of the scenes were overdone and wordy. Fifty or so pages could have been cut with the story not weaving around so much that you lost focus. To put it bluntly, I just didn't like it.
I was also disappointed when the Prince found out the depths of his parents' secret manipulations and control that were the direct cause of him to lose ten years with his child that he knew nothing about, and the woman he loved. They had instructed (or threatened) the staff not to put any calls through and to withhold the information from him if a young woman, Megan, tried to reach him. His parents had decided who they wanted him to marry and were hell-bent on having their own way regardless that the Prince did not love the woman they were so determined to hook him up with. The disappointment for me was that he seemed to lack any real anger towards them for all they caused him to lose and he should have been much more upset over their trickery which made it infuriating. In fact, he was very quick to say I forgive you before they had a chance to ask for his forgiveness. I believe in respect, but his parent's deserved a dressing down, for him to at least expressed, 'Do you realize your manipulations cost me ten years of my child's life, cost me ten years with the only woman who has ever held my heart.' They needed to know how much their manipulations had affected his adult life and the scars it left behind and how the marriage they tried to force on him did permanent damage not only to him and the ex-fiance but especially our heroine who bore his child alone and raised her by herself for ten years.
Megan took that super-quick engagement as a sign that he wanted nothing to do with her and how could he have been intimate with her yet go home to become engaged within a few days. It was a sure sign that he didn't care for her and was avoiding all of her phone calls. How dare their control and manipulation cause a 22-year-old man to lose so much. It was a situation that made me very angry and lowered what I had planned to rate this book. I would have felt so much better if he had spoken up but by not doing so, it caused me to think less of him and gave me a strong sense that he didn't care for her the way he claimed. It was injustice pure and simple.
I consider this not at all worth the read and as upset as it has made me today, I regret reading it.
— Disclosure: Nicole Burnham is a friend and a member of my plot group. I helped her plot this series. — More disclosure: When I want to kick back and relax with a fun read, I head for my HQ Presents shelf. I love reading about wealthy, diabolically handsome, arrogant and possibly royal men who sweep a woman off her feet, carry her off into the desert, and make love to her over and over until she falls hopelessly in love with him, which is exactly what he wants bc he's hopelessly in love with her altho maybe he doesn't realize it right away… — I know these two disclosures sent a lot of you screaming over the horizon. But I'm not politically correct, and I like what I like. So … if you're still with me…
I had fun helping Nicole plot these romances, and I'm having a great time reading them. So far I've read CHRISTMAS WITH A PRINCE (novella, I read that first bc it was Christmas) and SCANDAL WITH A PRINCE. SCANDAL is set in Barcelona, Spain, in a luxury hotel where Megan and Prince Stefano (he's from an island nation in the Mediterranean) meet after 10 years. Passion re-ignites, he discovers he has a daughter, he decides they should marry (I love a badly-botched marriage proposal) and … it was quite a journey making my way thru to the end. SCANDAL is like an expanded secret baby HQ Presents, about one third longer with a more complex relationship and fuller characters. The hero and heroine are two successful, mature adults in a difficult situation. They act intelligently (mostly) on the information they have and by the end they deserve their happily ever after.
(an aside: these sheiks/princes/billionaires are great fun in fiction. If I was actually involved with one, some changes would be made to the arrogance, etc, altho I'd be okay with the making love over and over.) (Aside #2: Yes, I'm already in a relationship. I've been married since the earth's crust cooled, and my husband is the best guy ever. See the stone circle he created —> http://christinadodd.com/photo/stoneh... )
I was a bit confused by the ending of this book, it seemed rathe abrupt and unfinished. There definitely could've been more to this story considering a main reason she didn't want to be with him was because she would never fit in with his family of the public eye, and neither of those instances occur. They never meet his family They never have to face the public together
Those were the main main parts of where everything stemmed from and nothing ever happened. It felt like half a story almost.
“What we’ve been given is a bubble. A place where nothing and no one can bother us, where we can enjoy each other—our connection—without the realities of the outside world. But bubbles are fragile, delicate things, Stefano. They don’t last. No matter how much you may shield them, they eventually pop.”
I came across this book randomly and boy, was I ever glad to give it a try. The synopsis drew me in and the introduction had me hooked. The synopsis provides an accurate description about this book, so I won't rehash it. However, I will say I loved the characters and the way the story unfolds. The book is very well-written. I love how the scenes are vividly describe. I was able to picture everyone going on and I loved it when authors can pull that off, making me feel like I'm there with the characters. This book had a great combination of fluff, angst, and humor. The only thing I don't like about this book is I feel like their story isn't complete. An epilogue at the end would have made me feel content with the ending rather than the two words "The end." For a second there, I thought the second book would be a continuation of their story, but instead it's about Massimo, Stefano's brother. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to the second book.
Loved the characters on this story, very well developed. Anna the 10 year old daughter, really made the story - such a vibrant personality. I wished theirs had been an epilogue, however if u sign up for the authors newsletter there is a a follow up story about the wedding.
It was a nice read, I guess they were two thick headed and scared to say how they feel for each other out loud. The relationship could've been resolved if they just talk to each other it just made the story drag on too much.

This was a sweet book. Megan and Stefano had a summer fling. They were both young, and unaware that it was not just a fling, that it was love. After the summer ended the two parted ways. Megan found out she was pregnant with her daughter Anna. Megan didn't have a way to contact Stefano, for he was a prince. Megan finished her college, and went on to be successful at managing a hotel. She was a good mother to Anna. 10 years later she runs into Stefano. I loved reading about Stefano meeting his daughter for the first time, and how we got to see the relationship grow. The love between Megan and Stefano still burned hot, but the story allowed time for that friendship to go and strengthen as well. I loved how Megan was strong, and independent. Stefano did not demand marriage when he found out about Anna. This book did not have any drama, and Stefano was never mean or rude. this was a very sweet fairy tale.
(1.5 Stars) I think I've been reading too many romance novels lately because they are all starting to read with such predictability that they've become a bore. "Scandal With a Prince" is one such predictable reads.
The events in this story of occurred so quickly that the end result was less than believable for me. Two people run I to each other after a decade of separation and within hours the man is confessing his love for her and asking her to marry him. Of course the fact she confesses she is the mother of his child ( also revealed within a few hours of seeing each other again has nothing to do with their unwavering love! Yeah, right!
This book just wasn't my cup of tea so I definitely won't be going on to the next book in this series However, read it for yourself and decide because looking at the other reviews many readers enjoyed it.
Very nice and easy read.I basically read it one day! A love story between the prince and his old flame. Writing good, especially because it is from both pow. If you want a fast read this is it but it will not wow you!
Amazing if you're looking for a light and sweet read with just the tiniest bit of angst :)
The writing was good and the characters developed amazingly! The story was nice and i'm looking forward to reading the next book of this series! Massimo seems hot ;)
This was well written and certainly entertaining. The main characters were relatable, the sex scenes hot, and the plot pretty solid. An enjoyable read.
A fun contemporary romance with Megan and Stefano. These two met ten years ago, had a night of passion which created a beautiful daughter, Anna. They find each other again10 years later. They seem to pick up where they left off. Steamy scenes that are not too descriptive, with plenty of relationship and character development. I really love this series!! Love the Barrali family!!
We all as little girls have had dreams of our Prince Charming sweeping us off our feet and taking us to live in a beautiful Palace and never ever wanting for anything ever again. You know the happily ever after scenario. Some of us still believe in this story. And I’m sure you’ve heard of the old saying. (If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it’s yours). Do you believe in fate? I personally believe that people do come into our lives for a reason. This is that kind of story!
Megan Hallberg, thought she had finally met her Prince Charming while in Venezuela working on a special work project. He was all that she had ever dreamed of and more. They spent a glorious evening together and then went their separate ways. Most of us would call this a fling. After waiting and waiting for a phone call which never came, Megan was resigned to go her own way in life, but always she held that one special time, the grand love filled evening with her Prince in her mind. She could never escape it until one night, the Grand Opening reception of the Grandshire, what she has been working for the last 2 years of her life, she hears a voice so captivating and drenched in sexuality that it could bring a woman to her knees, in the crowd. Could it really be him? After 10 years fate has crossed their paths once again.
Megan now has finally had her dream job come true, she’s the Director Business Development at the prestigious Barcelona Grandshire Hotel in beautiful, sunny Spain. She has worked hard to get where she’s at and she’s good at her job. But she has also spent the last 10 years with only her dreams of that one special evening. No other man could compare to her Prince. But as fate has it, her life is about to change.
Prince Stefano Barrali, third in line to the throne of Sarcaccia, Spain. A true prince, a man that has grown into a self assured, confident man. One of the Royal family with many responsibilities and has grown to accept his heritage to uphold and protect his family and country above all else. But it’s a life that he’s just not happy with. You see he has never been able to forget his Megan, the one woman that liked him for him, not what he could give her, not that he was a prince but a man, just a man. A simpler way of living and enjoying life without all the hoopla that comes with being a royal. After his return home from his work duty in Venezuela, he’s thrust back into his responsibilities of royalty, getting married and producing an heir on the top of the list according to the King and Queen. Even getting engaged to a long time family friend, of course that doesn’t work out; she’s not the main character in this fairy tale story.
And as fate has it Stefano is once again face to face with his Megan, he’s always thought of her as his. Even though they only spent a matter of hours together 10 years ago, he never stopped thinking about her.
Now for my opinion. I liked this book even though I’ve read this fairy tale story in many different facets of writing. I liked this author’s style of introducing the characters and the flow of the story. To keep the story going she has added some twists and turns naturally, but in keeping with everyday problems that normal people would have to face in life. The book is one you can relate too. But also I asked myself, can people really be this lame? I mean the way we are portrayed to be so untrusting and do stupid shit. The only answer I could come up with was a big resounding Yes. We all do crazy things in the name of love and we all make mistakes that can cost us our happiness. But do we all get that second chance in life? Do we as women all find our Prince? Nah, I don’t think so! Some of us end up with the frog, that doesn’t turn into a Prince at all.
The writing was good, not too many grammar issues so I would say the editing was up to par, not the best, there were a few boo boos in there. The love scenes, not too many but just enough to make the story line hot, but they were written very tastefully with not a lot of raunchy words as some would call them. Very clean nicely written.
Story: 2.5 stars Narration by Hollis McCarthy: 3 stars
Historical romance is my favorite audiobook genre. This book caught my eye because the synopsis hinted at it having all of the elements I love in historical romance but taking place within a present day setting.
Megan and Prince Stefano Barrali met 10 years previous to the start of the story while doing humanitarian work in Brazil when they were both just twenty-two years old. Their short whirlwind love affair ended when their project did and Stefano went home to take care of family obligations while Megan continued on with college. Soon after they resumed their normal lives, Megan found out she was pregnant at the same time Stefano publically announced his engagement to a beautiful social-lite.
Now, ten years later Megan is a single mother to Anna and a successful manager of a renowned hotel in Barcelona. It's here that she is met face to face again with Stefano. There is still a strong connection between the two despite the decade that that has gone by. Megan does not wait to tell Stefano that he has a daughter; the bulk of the book is him developing a relationship with Anna as well as reconnecting and forming a new one with Megan.
The main obstacles to Megan and Stefano's relationship are the media and his family's reaction to both Megan and Anna. Then there is Megan's professional career and the life she would have to give up if she were to be with a prince. Somehow, these never felt like true threats and should not have deterred them from each other or publically becoming a family. In fact, the media and Stefano's family are basically left in the dark about his relationship with them.
The formula of this book- a present day prince falling in love with a "commoner" is no different than any other contemporary book where a main character (usually a male) is some kind of celebrity and falls in love with a non celebrity or someone of different background or social class. All in all this is a rather unoriginal love story that will give its audience something warm and predictable. I prefer more tension, angst and wit not sweet and mundane.
What I did like about it was the fact the Megan never took advantage of Stefano's status; she built a successful life for her and her daughter (however I do feel that she gave up to easily on reaching out to Stefano). I also found a few quotes to be particularly simple yet effective and memorable: "Love the child; the rest will fall into place" and "embracing life as it is."
I thought the narrator, Hollis McCarthy, read fluidly and had a pleasing voice. This is the first book that I have listened to where there was an Italian-like accent and (especially in the beginning), I could not help likening it to the standard vampire drawl of " I vant to suck your blood!" I am no judge of a good Italian accent but there were times that I questioned its authenticity. Overall, she was a very neutral narrator-one that simply let you listen without distraction.
***A copy of this audiobook was given to me in exchange for an honest review***
Title: Scandal with a Prince Author: Nicole Burnham Series: Yes Cliffhanger: No Release Date: November 1, 2013 Rating: 3 HEA: Scandal with a Prince was one of the free books on my kindle that I found through bookbub. That means that I dont expect it to be one of my favorite books or anything. This is the Story of Megan and Prince Stefano who met volunteering in Venezuela one summer. When they part ways they don't expect to see each other again. But Megan finds out that she is pregnant. When she tries to contact Stefano she is unsuccessful. Then she finds sees the news that he is getting married. Assuming he just didn't want to talk to her she stops trying to contact him. The book starts 10 years later when they run into each other again.
The chemistry is still there for Megan and Stefano but he doesn't know he has a daughter named Anna. When Megan tells him they have a lot to work through. Soon Stefano is meeting his daughter for the first time and they are all figuring out their new lives. Being a prince Stefano has obligations and paparazzi to deal with. Megan does not want Anna to have to deal with the media and expectations that come with royal life.
I enjoyed this book as a light easy read. It wasn't the best book ever but was pretty cute. After the previous series I read it was a good choice. I enjoyed Stefano the more we learned about him. And Megan was a nice independent character whose life did not revolve around a man.
When I started the book I thought, ok this might be pretty good. Then it took a dip in the middle. Not bad but not as good as it started. And then it was starting to get good again and all of a sudden it was just over. The dip in the middle started when Stefano and Megan had sex on the third day back into each other's lives. That kind of took away from getting to know each other. That sucks for the reader because Stefano and Megan knew each other a long time ago and we didn't get to see that and then missed it again when they ran into each other.
The thing that was missing the most was Anna. I would have thought that Stefano and Anna would want to get to know each other more. In the book it did not show them spending a lot of time together. Honestly I didn't like Anna that much. At least we don't get to know Anna enough. Since Anna was a major plot point with the whole didn't know I had a kid thing, you would think that she would be in the book more. The few times we see Anna and Stefano interact they don't seem excited. I'm sure they were but I did not feel it.
It wasn't my favorite book but it was still nice. If you want the typical contemporary chick lit easy read then this is the book for you. I recommend it to anyone who wants that type of book. Or if you just finished an intense book this is a good palette cleanser type book.
Scandal With a Prince (Royal Scandals #1) By: Nicole Burnham 4/5 stars
Prince Strefano Baralli met Megan Hallberg when they were both volunteering in Brazil on a clean water project. They developed a friendship while working which morphed into a blissful night before they both return to their respective homes. Prince Stefano returns to complete his military service and her to complete graduate school.
They have a chance meeting 10 years later at an exclusive hotel in Barcelona where she is a manager and to which he attends the Grand Opening of the hotel. He wants to reconnect, but she is keeping a secret, one that could change both of their futures. Their one night, wasn’t so simple, since Megan ended up carrying Prince Stefano’s child home with her. Unbeknownst to her, and when she reaches out to tell the Prince, her phone calls are never put through to him and she learns from the news that he is engaged.
After this comes to a head, we also learn more about the Royalty and the rules that govern Stefano and his country. He knows that he has to form a relationship with his daughter and get to know her since he has never met her. He also has to put time and energy into regaining his friendship to Megan, especially if he wants more than just a casual friendship. But Megan is wary and worries that he only wants to be with her because of their daughter and to ensure his and his family’s royal lineage.
For me, it would have been a 5-star book if it hadn’t ended so abruptly. I want to see what happened after they decided to get together. What did they face in meeting his family, announcing themselves to the public & their daughter, who would currently be the heir to the throne, and wedding, etc.? I really wanted to see that part of the story & was disappointed that it didn’t happen. I don’t know if any of that will be covered in the following books in the series, as they all feature a different royal family member. And honestly I don’t know if I want to spend $4.99 per ebook & not have some of the main drama points in this series be resolved.
This was a free iBooks download via Bookbub.com. I downloaded it because my guilty pleasure is “secret baby’ books, and this falls into that category.
Megan Hallberg and Prince Stefano Barrali had an affair ten years ago while volunteering in Venezuela. At the end of their time there, they said their goodbyes, neither expecting to see the other again. Unfortunately for Megan, after returning home, she learned she was pregnant, and while trying to contact Stefano, learned that he had gotten engaged. Heartbroken, she gave birth to her daughter and moved on with her life.
Ten years later at the opening party of The Grandspire Hotel, where Megan is the director of business development, she and Stefano meet again. He wants to continue where they left off, but she needs to tell him that he has a daughter. She breaks the news, he is shocked and they eventually come to an agreement about the father and daughter meeting each other. Father and daughter have a great relationship. Stefano wants a family and wants his daughter, Megan won’t marry him because she doesn’t trust him…and it goes on and on.
This was a pretty typical “secret baby” story, nothing exciting or unusual. The only challenge was Megan standing in her own way while she claims she’s protecting her daughter. Anna, their daughter is a great character, the most interesting one in the book, other than Santi, the hotel’s chef.
It wasn’t as badly written as some other books I’ve read, and the story was decent. I finished it very quickly and will not read it again, but for a freebie, it wasn’t too bad. If you’re looking for something light and easy to pass the time, this is as good a choice as any, and it’s free at the moment on BookBub.
This story was sweet but a little frustrating. The Prince was on a military assignment for a good will trip. He met Megan a 21 or 22 year-old college student on a good will trip also. They met and had a great time and left on a good note and thinking they were to never see each other again. Months later Megan finds herself pregnant with his child. She tried reaching him to let him know with no luck. Then she found out he was engaged a month after their time together. She decided to keep her child a secret from him and raise her on her own.
Fast forward 10 years later and they meet again at a grand re opening to this 5 star hotel in Barcelona that she works for as a director. He sees her and wants her all over again. This time he wants more from her because he could not stop thinking about her. Megan tries to stay a way from him so he won't find out about their 10 year old child. Megan finally gets cornered by the Prince and she tells him but ask that they could talk about why she never told him. Of course, the Prince wants to get to know his daughter and he does in secret. He falls in love with his daughter and Megan also. And proposes to her using practical ways why they should be married. Megan doesn't want practical, she wants love when she decides to marry anyone. This story goes around in circles a little bit. I like how they talk to each other and express their feelings towards everything but actually saying the word love. They both are waiting on the other person to say it first before she would even agree to marry him. Storyline: 3.5 Heat: 3 Overall: 3.5 Recommend: Yes HEA: Yes
Surprisingly more entertaining than I expected from a romance BookBub freebie, this story follows Megan and her daughter Anna in their Barcelona, hotel living, career arrangement. The fact that Anna is the daughter of the Prince Stefano of nearby Sarcaccia seems almost a moot point until of course he resurfaces at the grand reopening of the hotel Megan has helped to manifest.
What I especially liked about this book is the fact it didn't take the typical Prince/Commoner romance route of having her meet the parents and bumbling through a suddenly royal life. No, Megan has a child to raise and that never is conveniently forgotten in the book as it could have risked doing. I give Burnham credit for keeping the family bond the strongest element of this book, even when Megan is offered the option to flee to a castle and never worry about anything ever again. Megan works. Megan provides. That won't change.
The conflicts come due to the varying outlooks of Megan and Prince Stefano. He can't understand entirely her independence. She gets frustrated by his intrusiveness. However, both still care for Anna and that's what keeps their rekindling relationship feeling so real. There are parts of this book, namely the thought processes of Megan toward the Prince and their misunderstandings that read as overly explained, but there are worse things in a read than that. At least there's still more story than sex!
I am beginning to think that I can not choose romance novels the way I used to. This is yet another romance that starts out so well and then flops at the end. The story begins when a young twenty something woman meets a prince, has a fling, and gets pregnant. This is not the actual story, as this happens a decade before the book takes place. The woman, Megan, goes on to have the baby and build a good life for herself and her child. Then a decade later she meets up with the prince again and tells him about his child. Many things happen, love blooms, love is lost, and so on, and the first three quarters of the book are good. The inclusion of the daughter is spot on and I enjoyed reading how the relationship developed, but then there is the end. I have such a problem with what tears these two apart. Out of all the things that could have done it the one that is chosen is flimsy at best. And then how they reunite is just as bad. I also have a problem with the fact that the daughter has no say in any of what happens at the end. This is not in keeping with the rest of the novel. The book earns three stars from me for being so strong in the beginning, but so lackluster in the end.
Scandal with a Prince: Royal Scandals Book 1 by Nicole Burnham. Megan Hallberg met and fell in love with Prince Stefano Barrali, when they were both volunteering as aid works in Venezuela. After a steamy romance, they both headed their separate ways. She to graduate school in the United States, and he back home to his country to fulfill his military and family commitments. After Megan returns to the United States, she discovers that she is pregnant with Prince Stefano’s child. She attempts to contact him, but in doing so, discovers that he is engaged. Fast forward ten years, Prince Stefano meets Megan again, at the hotel she is working at in Spain. He wants to pick up where they left off that summer, but Megan has a secret – their daughter Anna. Megan needs to do what is best for Anna, even if that means she denies what her heart wants. There are pitfalls, misunderstandings and paparazzi along the way. Now that fate stepped in and Megan and Stefano have met once again, will they fulfill their destiny to be together? Can they make a relationship in the spotlight work, all the while shielding their daughter Anna from public scrutiny?
A fun read from new-to-me author Nicole Burnham. Ten years ago Megan spent a fabulous summer with Prince Stefano but when he abruptly left her she was left with a broken heart and a positive pregnancy test. Not back in her orbit Stefano will do all that he can to entice this beautiful woman to return to his bed. While she has to somehow finds the words to let him know he's a father. When royalty becomes involves there's little Stefano who do to be close to his child and the woman he lusts for. A great way to start the series, very excited to see where it goes. Great read!
