When the first slaves were brought into America, they were weaker, more complacent; and had semi-tolerable attitudes. But when the slave-masters sought to get more production out of their plantations, they decided that they needed to kidnap a stronger group of slaves. When they kidnap the Bawss tribe, however; they realize that their bloodline was too dominant and too powerful.
Can the slave-masters ever recover from the likes of the greatest and strongest bloodline that they have ever been introduced to? Or will America be forced to witness power on the most grande of all levels?
Experience the journey of the Bawss blood-line as it begins in the 1600s, and impacts America in the 1950s through the 80s with Jakob Bawss- and the introduction of a drug that no one in America had ever seen before.
As David Weaver has often said before, this book is not about slavery; this is about freedom! This is about love and respect and honor. This is about dignity. This is about the difference between small-minds and great minds. Power against bloodline. This is the adventure of a lifetime!
~By far, this is David Weaver's deepest and most dramatic tale to date!
~Just when David Weaver was serving urban fiction candy, he came from nowhere and serves up a steaming plate of hot soul food.
~Bawss to David Weaver is what "Roots" was to Alex Haley.
Raw, uncut; and with no emotion hidden; trust assured- that this poetic story is an instant modern classic, as it will be for many years to come.
Toni Morrison fans will love this epic installment of African American literature.

‘The ground didn’t even accept their spit, so there was no way the white world would open up and allow theirs to exist…’

Bawss is an inspirational, empowering, informative and one of the most powerful tales I have ever read. The realism aligned with the double edged sword stimulates your mind with fascinating scenarios of the African Americans tale. Fiction, you may ask? Too much truth bellows from the harsh fields of the South, to the bowels of the slave ships, to the birth of Uncle Tom, Jim Crow, all while plagued with the vindictive thread of prejudice. The media stereotypes African Americans in such a negative light, yet shielding the true assassins behind the almighty dollar.

David Weaver speaks of a tribe of proud, fearless, intelligent and unapologetic people that no matter the situation…they boldly stand and stare adversity in the eye. Today’s society ridicules black youth and their fads, music, slang, their rebellious nature…but never addresses one common denominator for their brashness and their daring spirits. The genetic pattern of a tribe Mr. Weaver deems Bawss. Are you an authentic Bawss with that third eye that acknowledges reality, accepts responsibility, or are you a pawn in a cloaked players’ game. Bawss, a stunning panoramic lifestyle that educates while provoking your logic. Opening the pages of this read is like looking in the mirror for a thorough self-examination. Bawss all day baby, til’ death do us part! Mos Def a movement of empowerment!! David Weaver…remember this name…a Bawss!!!

Bawss Legacy

Ok I am now finished!!! But there are a few things that must be said about this book; Weaver is excellent at setting historical precedence but the story ALWAYZ ends too soon!! How could the legacy end in such a way??? The way that Jakob daughter was"hip" to the game to even be captured or raided!! After the work she put in and the "ruling" of the game in her 60million dollar mansion just made the story unbelievable...this leaflet because this book is less than 200 pages was a GREAT NOVELLA!!!

Wow... I don't even know where to begin with this review... David Weaver truly showed his diversity and depth in his writing skills! This book was written in a totally different style than most urban fiction tales! If you have never read a book by David Weaver before then this would be a wonderful start! It takes true skills to write like this!!

Confusing

the plot opens strong. gripping, page turner. but it quickly loses its way. The plot becomes down right strange at points. Very disappointing ending. I'm only giving it two stars for the first half.

This book had a poor plot and it seemed to run on endlessly at some points. There were also a lot of typos (maybe because I was reading the ebook). It just seemed like a very pointless book and the author was trying too hard and still didn't get the point across. Poor attempt at urban fiction
