Very good storyline. But…I’m missing some other main characters such as Orion and his child waiting to be born, etc. Some other characters are not being mentioned as well that I’ve even forgotten their names. I feel a book to update what is happening within the whole clan would be very helpful in remembering everyone.
Dark Encounters of The Unexpected Kind, book 75 of the Children of the Gods series by @itlucas_author - Honestly if you have NOT read this series, you need to RIGHT NOW! You must read this series in order from book 1. This is one of those series that no matter what else I am reading, I stop & start the newest book. One of the things I adore about this series is that it is about the entire clan. We get to keep learning about the first couple from Book 1 & they are still in Book 75!So freaking good! This is the 2nd installment of Gabi & Uriel’s story. Syssi had a vision that showed 3 men in a canyon where trackers like the ones that were in Jade were operational. Kian gets a team together to go there. Meanwhile, Gabi is waiting to hear from Uriel & is getting impatient with waiting since she is in a hotel room. Gabi talks with Kaia about sex with an immortal & gets a weird feeling about Uriel. Aru aka Uriel calls Gabi to have dinner & sex is implied. Aru has a telepathic conversation with Aria, a loved one. Aru & Gabi have dinner, then they have sex & instead of thralling Gabi, he decides to blindfold & restrain her. Gabi came down with a headache while with Aru. She is getting a fever & her throat is hurting. Uh oh! 😳 Gabi talks to Gilbert & he gets the okay from Kian to bring Gabi to the Keep as they suspect Gabi is transitioning. After the meeting that Jade, Magnus, Phinas & Morgada were in with Aru & Negal Kian confirms that Aru is Uriel & Gabi is transitioning to Immortality. Ugh! That cliffhanger killed me even though I knew it was going to happen! 😭

This instalment was amazing! Lots of answers, yet a lot more questions 😂. Read it in one sitting it was that good. Really really want the next nook NOW😢😂
This is the second part of Gabi's story. It was packed full of action. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and the ending, let's just say I can't wait for part 3

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 75th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the second book for Gabi and her mystery man Uriel. And yep, I called it! Uriel has so many secrets to reveal and I can’t wait to see where it will go next.
I figured for book 75 that something special would happen but all we really got was a boring couple. Yes, he might be a God, but he is nothing special it seems. Some of the immortals have better powers. And Gabi just seems very off putting to me. Maybe it was having her brain scrambled by different people in the book... Sigh. I'm ready to be done with this couple and trilogy plot. Maybe after this many books there just isn't much more for me if the plotlines keep going so slow.
Love this story line, and Lucas does a great job most of the time. These last 2 books are awful because of the characters. Cannot stand Gabi or Uriel. The characters on most all previous stories were really done well. But this just doesn’t go. Why change the plot from strong characters to a whinny mess it’s a disservice to all the characters before them. They do not cut it, can’t wait for future stories sans these characters. They simply suck.
I knew it, I blumming well knew it, poor Gabi getting her head messed by Uri then again by the Clan poor buggar she must of felt like she was cracking up forgetting everything all the time.
But at least fingers x'd she's gonna be ok no long term effects- unless u call becoming immortal long term effects lol
Just hope the Fates are working their magic for the greater good Looking forward to getting stuck in to the next in line & to see whose next to meet their match n fall in love 😁😍
I enjoyed reading the series but my lord , it is taking to long to get the next book and they are getting shorter. You are inducing new characters and we learn something about them and then its on to waiting for the next book to come out which is usually is a month to two months to come out. There are at least 3 story lines that need to be answered, or come to be resolved. But like I said I have enjoyed the series with all the twist and turns.
I T Lucas doesn’t disappoint with this continuation of Dark Encounters, I love that we get Uriel’s POV, I wanted to know how he was effected and what he was up to. I am happy to know he has redeeming qualities, and puzzle pieces are starting to fall into place. I love how the fates continue to work the bigger picture. Looking forward to continuing the journey…
This series is so good that the twist and turns are on real. One moment you think you know where the story is going and then bam something new happens. While I was hoping that the new gods would have been one of the ones that went into stasis during the earthquake with Khiann woke up so Annani could have love back and get her happy ending but I we will have to wait a while longer of that to happen.
I’ve been reading the Children of God’s since Kian and Syssi met. It was starting to get where I was thinking are we only meeting the clan but you bring the gods from the home planet brings a great spin on things and now I’m counting down the days for the next release
This book is now one of my favorites in this series! This book had the right amount of romance and suspense of finding out more information about the gods and them not knowing who to trust. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. It was so good I didn’t even realize I had made it to the last page.
Too short! LOL The plot keeps getting more twisted. It's interesting but also frustrating, since new people keep getting introduced even though there is already a huge number of people to draw new characters from. The story is awesome as always and I love when old friends show up for a time. Need the next installment!
Ooo I can't get enough of this story line and I only have one book left. I hope the last book tells the story of Kian's sister and if she has the baby. I hope IT Lucas does a follow up series on the Clan family I could read this story line forever - the story line is so captivating that it draws you right into it and you can't put it down until you finish.
Don't stop now IT Lucas keep the story line going, I just love it
I love these stories but they seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Now, the author is double spacing the start of a new paragraph instead of indenting. Can somebody explain to me why there’s a list of all the books she’s written in the beginning of the book and at the end? The length of the actual stories could be called novellas. It’s just so frustrating.
First book with Gabi it took me a minute to catch up (forgot who Gabi was ) This book is Arus first appearance (kind of said about his sister was he really gone for over 100 years from her life space time travel is mad) I first thought he was one of the missing twins? Guess he could still be a twist for later? Got to wait for new release now
A very enjoyable reading experience! I couldn't put it down. Gabi and Aru are great! I am definitely rooting for these two. Definitely worthwhile reading for anyone who wants to escape into another world for awhile. Looking forward to reading more of this unforgettable series.
So I'm addicted... So what... This series is awesome... Your imagination isobell is second to none... How on earth do you keep coming up with all these fantastic storylines.... I love love love this series and I never want it to end... And yes I do tell my friends all about this epic series and how wonderful and fascinating it is... Keep it up and thank you x
Fabulous read as always. Can’t wait to see where Aru and Gabi end up. I T Lucas has created such an alternate reality that seems so plausible. Her characters are believable as are the circumstances they face.
The Dark Encounters series has really amplified my interest in these books! I love the introduction of the three new gods and the information they bring of the home planet. Great job I T Lucas!
This was an interesting book that I think it’s gonna be very important in the upcoming changes in the storyline. Once again, it’s the attraction between the characters that help bring together these different cultures and the immortals and the gods!
Since this is book 75 . I've said it before and I'll say it again . You can never go wrong with a love story by I.T. Lucas . She will capture your heart , tickle your funny bone and give you feels you didn't know were there for alien people .
Another great one from Lucas. However watching.the changer taking by surprise again with now little spy bugs is aggravating, but when die g with gods what is to be expected.
I need more, my dude. I feel left at a precipice. I think this fated match is my favorite or at least in my top 10 for this series. I do wish it wouldn't have had the unnecessary povs. I usually don't mind the other ones, but with this one, I felt like I was watching filler anime episodes.
I reviewed this once but it got lost. I have read all of Perfect Match. Now I am waiting for Book 76. I have never spent this much time reading a series. It is well worth the time... Helped me except the real mess of today's real world ...
Every book has had a unique story to tell, yet the characters have been woven together creatively. So are hotter than others and some are more humorous. I’ve enjoyed them all!
Story is just getting more and more interesting kept me hooked right from the start. Waiting eagerly for the final part. Looking forward to an early release hopefully 🤞
