Well, my fictional life sounds more interesting, but not better than my real life. Really, I'm the happily married mother of four. I cook a lot, garden and weave baskets! I write for Montlake Romance and Harlequin. My books range from lighthearted comedies to more serious dramas...but at heart, they're all stories of love.
I don't always set out to write a series of books, but seem to find myself gravitating to them. Because so many people have asked, I've posted lists of all my series in order at www.hollyjacobs.com/bookseries.html. I really try to make each story stand alone, but many of my readers enjoy reading the series in order. Hope this helps!
Thank you to everyone who's picked up a single book, or more of them. I'm so lucky to be surrounded by so much support!
A really good feel short read. But please bear in mind that it's only 60% of the page count. Going home for Christmas was something she never expected to do but with a better relationship with her mother and the boys at their father's, it felt right. However she had only arrived when her mother gave her a mystery to solve. Supplies to the medical practice have been disappearing. Who and why. Will she solve this before she has to head back? Will she stop missing Cal? What will happen if she does solve it? A wonderful little read that will have you going Aaah!
From the beginning I knew who did it , anybody could figure it out. This was a free kindle buffet book set and well I like free. I guess I wanted a distraction from my reality ( not that it is bad ). Sometimes you just do not want to think about the job. What kept me reading is her relationship with her mom ( it is like my relationship with my mom ) My brother is doctor married to a doctor . Bah bah !!!! A shout out to all the Black sheep.
In book #3, Quincy Mac goes home to Erie, PA for Christmas. Her family and especially her Mother is so proud of her and her sleuthing skills--thus her Mother asks her to investigate missing medical supplies from their large medical practice. In the process, the thief confesses to their part in the crime--nothing more or their will be a spoiler.
This is as goof as the first two, but a lot sweeter. Mac returns to her family home in Erie Pa. and gets involved in her families practice to find out where missing supplies have gone. A truly a sweet Christmas read.
While her sons are spending Christmas with their father and his current wife, Quincy Mac takes a break from L.A. and her maid-cleaning business to return home to Erie, Pennsylvania, where a person close to her unexpectedly asks her to solve a mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas novella. First of all, it's such an awesome title! Secondly, I fell in love with Quincy's hometown. And, her BFF Lottie reminds me very much of one of my own BFFs, Connie. Even though this is the third in the series, I read it second. I was glad no spoilers for the previous installment were to be found. I found the changes in Quincy's family dynamics to be interesting. And, I thought the ending was most appropriate.
Seemed shorter than the first two, and I didn't get the satisfaction at the solved mystery that I did in the first two. Regardless, I did enjoy the story and it's worth the read to see how the characters are doing.
