A good story

I first read book 1 a few years ago and was surprised at how good it was. This follows on from book 1. Julia is determined to make a go of her new venture. Her relationship with her husband Paul is more strained than ever and she’s desperate to leave. Unfortunately for Julia not all of her clients are as good as the first.

Great read

From the first book I loved the story line and was in love with the character. The second book made me not want to put it down. Was very well written and just a great pleasure to read. I can't wait to read he final book.

Single PoV - Julia

Julia is fully embracing her new job and we are taken through the roller coaster of a handful of encounters. This books is an improvement over the first and I will be reading the last book of the series.

Clara James has hit all the right spots this book is too frickin' 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Julia (Arianna) is grabbing balls of being an escort like a pro and she using her head to get what she wants.

I gave this one a 2.5 star rating. This book wasn't as exciting as the first. This was a tale about some of the memorable encounters/dates that Julia has had.

One aspect I liked was that Julia was standing up to Paul in a way. She made smart remarks on the sly. She is getting bold and learning to live in her own skin.

I don't like the fact that she was still willing to sleep with a married man named George. This was after she saw his wedding ring and after he offered an explanation to why he was using her services. She should know how it feels to have her husband cheat on her no matter what the reason. And just because Julia will not be the first our last escort he will ever be with doesn't justify still sleeping with him.

In this book she even became a teacher to a client named Chris. Chris was not a ladies' man and a little overweight. He had no confidence with the ladies. She coached him on how to be sensual with a woman. Don't think this situation was realistic but it was nice.

Julia has had a lot of great clients, but in this book her judgement is off. She should not have stepped into the situation that she had with her client Scott. I could tell from the way that he answered the door that he was drunk. He abused her and rightfully so she was ready to quit. This reminded me of an R. Kelly song called One Man. "One man can make one woman hate all men."

A client named Preston brought her faith back into men and into escorting. He didn't even ask for sex but just truly wanted her time. She better stick with him. He just wants to get to know her as a person.

Didn't like the monologue of her thoughts that happens at the end of this book. It happened in the last book and hoped it didn't happen in this one. I was wrong. It just takes away from the effect of the book. I do want to know what she's thinking but not at that point.

I figured out of all this she might meet her husband on one of these dates.

"Captivated" is part 2 in Julia's journey into the world of escorts. It's better than the first installment as the story is progressing nicely.

In this part of the story, she's gained a decent word-of-mouth reputation and has some regulars that she sees. She's almost to the point to where she is ready to make her move from Paul but you just know it's going to go bad before she gets her chance.

Once again, good character development as we learn more about Julia and how she's feeling about what she's doing and how it's affecting her. well-written, a few minor spelling errors ("tired" instead of "tried" and "your" instead of "you're") overall, a very good read.

Holy cliff hanger! Clara James didn't disappoint with book two! I was hooked from the first page. As Julia's journey continued her character really grew! But as everything in life nothing comes easy! Her journey through book two was a emotional ride! I love the authors attention to details with not just Julia but all the characters she introduces in the book! I loved how the author handled all to real situations! I was shocked by the twists she introduced in the plot this book! My heart hurt for Julia in this installment! The author handled positive and negative situations flawlessly! It was another quick read that leaves you on pins and needles as to what's going happen next!

Julia is establishing herself as a high class escort and is building up a steady string of clients. The money is building up for her to leave her husband and I felt like I was cheering her on. We meet several of her dates and when of course things went sour, I felt quite bad for her although it was up there with the whole horror movie 'dont go upstairs' theme! I am swiftly moving on to book 3 and hoping she gets a happy ending!
