TJ has crammed a lot of life into her years. Once a cop, now a professional writer, she uses her first hand experience of working the city streets of Sydney to write all things crime in both the news and in her fiction novels. TJ’s head has been buried in crime since studying criminology at university over a decade ago, and she just can’t seem to shake her fascination with the macabre. By day, TJ reports on southwestern Sydney's crime for News Corp, and by night she re-lives the action-packed life she may have once had through her strong fictional characters and sexy stories of mystery and intrigue. In 2015 TJ won the Readers Choice Award for best romantic suspense at Readers and Writer’s Down Under for her novel, Death’s Shadow and went on to win the converted Scarlet Stiletto Award for the Sister’s In Crime Association. Her debut books, Buying Thyme and Finding Thyme were acquired by Harlequin Mira and published in 2015 and 2016.
AMAZING! REVENGE! SCORNED! Revenge is an evil thing and when it roots in you it makes you more determined than ever to take down your target. This last book in the series by far was my favorite. Mia plays her role so well and makes decisions that could change her life. Joe takes Mia to Russia and she meets up with her friend from ballet school and they both realize that they are known by other names, and Mia finally finds out what Joe actually does. Joe is treating Mia well but she becomes confused because her feelings are turning real because she doesn’t have anyone besides her brother and best friend. The problem still exist though that Joe is her target, she must take him down or suffer consequences herself. This book is filled with action, secrets, and deaths and it is something you must read. Now I will not spill all details to you, I can tell you this, the ending is amazing and I must say my heart mended, I was no longer angry about the end of Making Thyme. This book was written very well and you became attached to the characters throughout the series. I was so enraptured by the characters I actually felt what they were feeling and had a change of heart, when this happens that’s when you know you are reading an amazing series. I can’t wait to read other books by TJ Hamilton and can’t wait to read about Mia’s friend from ballet school. Amazing Job TJ Hamilton, this will definitely be an author that I read again.
Just when you think Mia's happily ever after is within reach everything goes wrong and fast. Can you love 2 men at the same time even if it is a job. What a great suspense read!
Oh.... my.... god!!! After the mindf&*k that was the end of Making Thyme, I have been impatiently waiting for the final installment in the Thyme Trilogy, Keeping Thyme. Maybe nagging her a little for this book too lol.
You will need to have read Buying Thyme and Making Thyme first, these cannot be read as standalone books.
And it was well worth every second of the wait!
Starting just hours after Making Thyme ends, Mia is dealing with the aftermath of what happened (I don't want to say as it will ruin it if you haven't read the whole series) and while she tries to come to grips with things, she is dragged right back into the thick of things.
Ms Hamilton, what a tangled web is weaved with Keeping Thyme! Mia is back in her Miranda persona to take on Tench and his henchmen. She was like Jasinta Bourne! There were so many things going on with Mia, Tench and all the main characters of the series. It was fast paced and action packed.
I loved that we got to delve at bit into Mia's past in this book (if you have read You Can Call Me Miranda you will have an idea of it, but there were some other things that took my by surprise). Her emotions jumped off the page, the sadness, the fear, the hatred. She is such a conundrum - so strong and smart, but with such terrible self esteem issues at times.
I did enjoy the little insight into Tenc. Through the series he has been a character I loved to hate to love. There are two sides to his character and it is hard to pin down which is the real man.
But what I really loved? There is something that happens that was what I really hoped would happen - I know, very vague but I can't say what it is without spoiling things.
I have loved this series from the minute Ms Hamilton asked me to read book one, Buying Thyme, and now this is me that the series has ended:
I can't wait to see what Ms Hamilton has in store for us next!
I had Buying Thyme on my Kindle for a while and it sat there calling my name. So when I saw that there was a blog tour for the third book in the series I opened my Kindle and started reading. This trilogy is awesome! I mean, how can you not love a reformed hooker, a mobster and secret agency? Mia is on a mission to take down Joe Tench. There were times I felt bad for Joe. You kind of actually get to like him a bit, then he goes and does something bad and you hate him again. Mia is put to the ultimate test as she gets more involved with the agency and everyone there is more than they appear. This book has everything, suspense, mystery and erotic scenes that will make you sweat. I honestly did not know what to expect when I started this trilogy but I have to admit, I LOVE it! The characters are well developed, the story is well developed and this conclusion ends the story perfectly. I absolutely fell in love with her brother, he needs his own story(hint, hint). I felt for Mia quite a few times in the story, she has lost so much but when her back is against the wall, she steps up and performs like she was made for the job. I finished the book in less than I day because I had to know what happened. It will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last word. It is fast paced without skimping on details so you don't realize how fast you read until you put your Kindle down. If you read the first two books, you MUST read Keeping Thyme, and if you haven't, WHY NOT?!?! There are buy links right below this post so get to one-clicking NOW!! You won't be disappointed! Don't forget to check out the other stops on the tour as well!!
What a fantastic novel! Hamilton takes the world that she has crafted and draws her audience even further into it. Hamilton is a visual author, using her remarkable skills as a storyteller to paint this world right before your eyes. Not only do you become enmeshed in the unforgettable story itself, but you try to guess what is going to happen next. I found myself in the same boat as the main character, wondering how this could come to a happy ending. I could see no possibilities. Hamilton took me for a wild ride, with twists and turns, ups and downs. It was a brilliant ending to this trilogy.
The characters in this novel were brilliant. We’ve come to know and love them throughout the series but they really shine in this instalment. The main character really comes into her own with this one. Watching her become who she is meant to be and to rise above her past was exciting and really drew me into her world. The supporting cast was equally stunning. Each serves a purpose in the story as a whole but also bring everything together with their relationships with one another.
As a whole this was a phenomenal ending to this trilogy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone, but would suggest reading the series in order. I also cannot wait to read more from this brilliant author.
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
When Keeping Thyme, the third book in the Thyme trilogy came out, I was of two minds. I’d read the first two books and I was anxious to see what would happen next. I didn’t like the way the second book ended (no spoilers), but TJ Hamilton’s writing and Mia’s compelling story were an invisible magnet that wouldn’t let go of me I also decided to read the first two books again and I think it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. First of all, I had missed a few details in my haste to read the first two books. But most importantly, because I knew the outcome of the first two books, I was able to pick up on the little clues that the author had very cleverly place in the story. Clues that I hadn’t noticed the first time I read the books. I was impressed! Now I want to talk about Keeping Thyme. After a slow, but tantalising, beginning TJ Hamilton really raised the stakes when she wrote this book. Mia has recovered and she is back with a vengeance, a vengeance that takes no prisoners. There are twists and turns that had me guessing, a trip to Russia as well as intrigue and action. Seriously, I could not read this book fast enough and I only went to sleep when my blurring vision wouldn’t let me read any more. I loved the first two books, but Keeping Thyme was awesome! I gave the first two books 5 stars, so I don’t know where to go now. Let’s just say, that I gave Keeping Thyme 5 gigantic stars with flames shooting out. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads - I really did. But when I finished Making Thyme (book 2) I hadn't received the free copy yet so I immediately purchased Keeping Thyme myself so I could see what happened next.
Making Thyme is fast paced and action packed with a background of sorrow as Mia mourns what she has lost, in more ways than one.
The operation to bring down Joe Tench is in full swing. The thing is I really liked Joe but I'm not sure I was supposed to. Joe is the bad guy but I didn't want him to be taken down.
TJ Hamilton brought the story to an exciting end and even if it was predicable it was still fun to read.
It is always good to discover a series when it is complete so you can devour the books one after another like I did with this series. I recommend the Thyme Trilogy.
I've got to restate from my review of "Buying Thyme" that if you've found yourself in a book reading rut, where the romance is a bit typical or the characters a bit cliché, TJ Hamilton's "Thyme" series is the perfect remedy for this!
I love the spin with this entire series. The intrigue with Miranda's relationship with Joe Tench, the secrets with Nick Davis and the self-discovery that Miranda/Mia must go through in order to deal with all of it. Each book in the series left me on the edge of my seat, eager to flip the page to find out what happens next but at the same time not wanting the story to end!
I still have a book hangover after completing Keeping Thyme. Just when you are ready to believe that Miranda/Mia has everything figured out and her happily ever after future is within her reach, everything goes wrong, and fast. I loved the chemistry and interaction between Mia and Nick and could feel their love and desire for each other. On the same side, when Miranda was with Tench, you could only hope that "Joe" would stay around. I felt every struggle and every emotion that Miranda had while with Tench. Can you love two men at the same time, even if it is just a job? Can you separate your head from your heart? And finally, can someone truly leave behind their tainted past, and embrace a beautiful new future. Keeping Thyme was a tear jerker at times, but I can happily say, the epilogue was my favorite part. Thank you TJ for a great ending to the series.
Mia Thyme is an undercover agent on assignment to bring down the people who killed the love of her life and her friend. To do this she has to go undercover as Miranda and go back to Joe Tench, the man who bought years ago.
Tench is a cold and calculating man. Being back in his world has put Miranda in more danger than ever.
Miranda believes this is the only way to find the truth and put him behind bars. With her heart shattered, Miranda seeks comfort in Tench’s cruel arms. The lines between her job and reality blur.
This was a fantastic, suspenseful romance. I was on the edge of my seat during some chapters wondering what was going to happen next. The characters were great and the storyline totally believable.
I definitely recommend this book as well as the first two in the series!
Final book of the Thyme series is Kick-arse! Thank god that I found this series after it was completed! The final book wraps up Mia's journey. I have to admit I was naughty and read the epilogue before I started, I was so broken after book 2 I was unable to resisit it at 2am. I would not have been able to sleep! This series is so hot, action packed and keeps you wondering the whole time. The only problem I had was I felt the ending was a bit rushed. I would have liked Tench and Mia to have had more confrontation/dialogue after the big reveal. Having said that it may just have been I was sad this seies was ending. I am looking forward to more books from TJ, including Death's Shadow which includes characters from the Thyme World.
Keeping Thyme is book three in the Thyme Trilogy by T. H. Hamilton. Miranda is back in town and wants revenge on the person who destroyed her life, Tench. Before Miranda became the next victim, she decided to use Tench'sobsession as a weapon to catch him. Readers of Keeping Thyme will continue to follow Miranda to discover what happens.
Keeping Thyme is the last instalment in this lovely Trilogy by T. H. Hamilton. It allows you to conclude the story and finalise what happens to the characters of this series. I am pleased that I read this book, and I engaged with the story and its characters from the first page to the end. Reading Keeping Thyme, I started to realise the dangers of obsession and revenge.
I enjoyed T. H. HHamilton'sportrayal of her characters and their interactions throughout this book. Keeping Thyme is well-written and well-researched by T. H. Hamilton. I like T. H. Hamilton's descriptions of the settings in Keeping Thyme, which complement the book's plot.
Keeping Thyme T.J. Hamilton This story was gifted to me for an honest review by We Love Kink. This is the final part of the Thyme Trilogy and I have to say WOW what a journey this has been. It has been an emotional roller coaster for me, I mean who cares about what the characters were going throught! We met Miranda/Mia in Buying Thyme when she was an upscale call girl struggling between her attraction to two men, Joe Tench the crime boss and supposed millionaire Tom Smythe. In book two Making Thyme Miranda/Mia gets a job makeover courtesty of her brother and Tom Smythe who is really Australian FBI agent Nick Davis. Her job of course, is to bring down Tom Smythe. This was an action packed story as they race against time to do this. Tom and Mia fall hopelessly in love as they work closely together. Unfortunately Tom is fatally injured in a training exercise and Mia must face life without him. Keeping Thyme is the continuation of her efforts to bring down Joe Tench, she embeds herself into his life, moving in with him, sleeping with him and planting bugs everwhere she can for the FBI. She thought this was going to be easy, but she has deep feelings for Joe. He has dominating sexual desires and this calls out to the submissive in her. They have frequent hot and steamy sex, they are always together and he is totally infatuated with her. He is in love with her. He gets a tattoo " Alis volat propiis." meaning "she flies with her own wings" in honor of her. There is a familiarity about the house and the bedroom that calls out to her, she belongs there. And then, "Will you be my wife?" Good vs evil, does Mia have the inner strength to complete the mission, to bring down the notorious crime boss Joe Trench, he is of course an evil man, he is involved in evil activities. Bringing him down would be the best for man kind, we just have to hope that her pesky emotions don't get in the way and her large diamond doesn't weigh her hands and thoughts down. The ending totally caught me off guard, it went in directions that I did not see coming. I loved the first book, was okay with the second but I must say that the third was the best. I would definately rated this series a 5/5 and recommend to all romance and crime readers out there!
FINALLY! We have all been dying for book 3 in the Thyme Trilogy because we finally wanted to get some answers! How will it all end? While waiting for book 3 we got the prequel novella to this series and that only made me beg for this book more! If you haven't started this trilogy, STOP reading this review and start at the beginning with Buying Thyme, you won't be disappointed!
"Everything is different now. I breathe different air. It now smells rotten, and life tastes sour."
Life for Mia has completely changed. She could let grief completely take over but she knows what she must do… and for that she must completely submit to being Miranda. With her training and what she knows from being "Miranda" she has a plan and will take Tench down. "They will never understand the power of sex."
With Liz and Simon's (her brother) help she has eyes and ears everywhere. But Miranda/Mia must use what she knows and that is sex! How to manipulate and man like Joe Tench is her specialty and something her brother and Liz will never understand. Letting the lust between her and Joe consume her is her only release from reality. But she must not forget all the people in her life that have been hurt because of this man.
"I want his lust for me to fill every deep cavern that aches for someone else. I need to fuck the sad away."
When a piece of her past (read the novella!!!) comes back will she finally be able to get the answers she is looking for? Who can she trust? Will she ever find the answers she is looking for? Can she uses Tench's obsession with her against him… or will she let him get too close?
"I know I may not be perfect, Miranda, but I want to change for you." ~Tench
I could go on and on about this series, but that would completely ruin it for you! All I can say is if you are looking for a completely different kind of love/ suspense story, then you have found it! Start at the beginning, and enjoy the ride that Ms. Hamilton takes you on. You will not be disappointed!
A great ending to a fantastic series, I give this book 5 awesome stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
After reading book 2 in this series, I was eager to read book 3 as soon as I could because it left me with so many questions.
Miranda is back … and she’s back for revenge and her target is Joe Tench. She is the key to finding what the Agency needs to put Tench away forever.
Her heart may be broken, but her head is filled with a burning need to finish what Nick started, Can Miranda find the resolve to put her head in the game or will the seductive charm of Joe Tench corrupt what's left of Miranda's heart?
Ms Hamilton has concluded this trilogy with the aplomb of a seasoned author, if couldn't put the book down, I just loved how Miranda's character was on a constant knife edge of grief and lust for tench, how she still saw the good, even in Joe and his side kick Toni... How she pushed through her uncertainties to do what was right.
The supporting characters are once again there to help Miranda, Charlie, gosh how I wish I had a Charlie, he is such a good friend to Mia, funny too. Some of the conversations between the two characters had me in stitches.
Her twin brother Simon is there to help her in her grief and also with the case...
The suspense is there, with enough twists and turns in the plot to keep you guessing to the end. The story takes you to Russia, to meet the "family" and Miranda finds out what exactly the family business involves and she finally chooses her path.
I really recommend this series, and I will be keeping an eye out on what Ms Hamilton new writing project will be.
The third and final book in the Thyme Series is nearly impossible to say anything about without spoilers. And I simple refuse to let this happen because i anticipated this book way too much and know others have, as well.
Let's just say that Miranda reemerges after the devastating blow that ended with book two and she is ready to kick butt and take names. Mia is determination to right the wrong of her younger self's choices and live the life that her and Nick had dreamed of. But she has to trust the Agency and go back into the den of lions that is Joe Tench's world.
Once again, Ms. Hamilton takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride that in the end has that last deep dip and jerk you have come to expect of her writing.
4 star given instead of 5 simply for the typos throughout the book. The first 2 books had one or two but I lost count after about six in this book. A spell check app is way too easy to utilize and you, Ms. Hamilton are too good of a story teller for people to be distracted by such. If you need a beta reader for Tia's book send me an email.
I fell in love with this trilogy and Mia/Miranda. T.j has finished up this trilogy in her usual suspenseful and perfect style. This author is crazy good and I am so thankful I read these books - even if she did leave me hanging at the end of the second book. The conflicting emotions and the way her portrayal of her characters include the good and the bad connects you to the characters and leaves you invested in the outcome. There were points in this book where my heart was racing with what was going on and I still had no clue who I wanted to win and how I wanted it to end. I love this woman and thinks she is super talented and I can guarantee that I will be reading anything she writes. She finds the perfect balance within her writing, the characters and the plot. Throwing a few twists and curveballs in for good measure. Please TJ never stop writing because I want to be reading your books for years to come.
was asked to give a review on this series and I must say, I loved it. The series is a def. Must I was asked to give a review on this series and I must say, I loved it. The series is a def. Must read. I was left on the edge after book to waiting to see what will happen in book 3. The vengeance, friendship, laughter and yes love was right where it needed to be. While this journey the character made in these books left you yourself loving 2 men and finding a soft spot for the tench. You still knew it wasn't. .. (not telling). The supporting characters that were there for Miranda were just right. They helped make Miranda's character. The writing flowed and didn't leave me wondering what was going on. This book ended perfectly. I recommend this book as TBR.. I enjoyed reading this series and I will read more from this author. Read this trilogy and you won't be disappointed.
So I’ve never really been a lover of action and adventure stories but this series from TJ Hamilton has changed that for me. Not only do we get the action but we get some serious HOTness too.
After the ending of Making Thyme (Book 2) I didn’t know how the author was going to redeem herself with me. I mean she left me crying ugly tears screaming WHY ?!?! But now Miranda (Mia) is back and she is out to take down Joe Tench once and for all.
The only problem, is I found myself really liking the villain of the story. I mean how do you find yourself liking a murdering liar? But I did. And the ending was a little short of me I wish the HEA would have been more drawn out but, Hey at least she got her HEA. However the rest of the story more than made up for it. It was packed with sweet and sexy as well as adventure.
"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."
Really good finale to the trilogy. Impressed by the storyline which held together and showed many sides of people's characters. I enjoyed the growing passion and the misunderstandings which led to some deviations from the expected path. There is a lot of depth to this book, and a lot of fun, sexy spy thriller moments too. Highly entertaining.
This series was different to what I thought. I quite enjoyed reading this series for the characters and the location of the story being in Sydney. I don't like to ruin the story for anyone, but I KNEW IT! For anyone who has read this book will know what I'm referring to. I loved Charlie, Mi's best friend and how his character came through, LOVED it. It makes you wonder just how much really goes on in the city of SYDNEY as we stroll through life. This book is a perfect example of some of Sydney's secrets and different lifestyles, be smart, don't be greedy or it will KILL YOU!
An incredible end to such an outstanding series! This book was so intriguing, with heart stopping moments that made me want to keep on reading!! Well done TJ!! I just knew in my head that what happened at the end would actually be true( don't want to give any spoilers)I am still Team Nick although with Tench I did end up having a soft spot for him!! Put this series on your TBR list!!! So glad Mia gets her HEA!!!!!
Oh wow Book 3 in the series again hot sexy erotic a real page turner again i could not put this down that Miranda knows who is behind all the tragedy she wants revenge she goes in under cover to do so but in her own way not the way the agency wants her to espcially when Nick is hurt and what happens to him makes Miranda want more of revenge, so Now i have to so one of my favorite series and you will not put them down, thank you again T J Hamilton.
Thoroughly enjoyed the final book in this trilogy and loved the subtle twists and plot turns that were intricate throughout this book. (SPOILER ALERT HERE SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) The Ending was sightly predictable for me and not sure if thats because I read so many books or have a very active imagination of my own , but even saying that I look forward to reading the next book from this author.
Despite the low rating, I did enjoy this trilogy, it was a great idea that just had some hiccups along the way. Editing and misspelled words I have mentioned in the previous book reviews and they continued here. My main problem with this book though, was the ending. It was way too abrupt and required more attention and explanation.
I just couldn't take this book seriously.I kept getting distracted by the wrong words 'bare' instead of 'bear' for example. I laughed out loud when Tench had a bludging chest which could well be mistaken for Australian English (as the front info page points out) Too many typos says to me that the publisher did not put the time into it, so then why should I?
